Ones of the best known Turkish eating joint in London.
Staff is amicable. However, they took a lot of time to get a glass of water with ice.
Food is authentic and tasty. We ordered mixed meat platter and everything tasted well.
Must try - Lamb liver in appetizer, meat platter on main course and Rice pudding in dessert.
Portion size is good, so think before you order or else box it :)

Good food and really good service. make sure you book in advance on weekends as it can be packed. Tons of options available in the kebabs and iskander section.

Do not add rice or chips with your main course as its costs extra £2.50..

Likya is an excellent Southern European restaurant, focusing on Turkish barbecued meat dishes. The kebabs and other grilled meat dishes are not only delicious but also of excellent quality and therefore healthy and suitable for everyone. However, there is also a wide choice of salads, always very copious and fresh, beautifully dressed without overpowering the taste of the vegetables. There are also many hot or cold starters, for vegetarians or people who want a smaller portion. The portions are extremely generous, so bear that on mind! Overall excellent quality and a very professional, no nonsense service.

Excellent middle eastern restaurant. We had the Special Mix Kebabs and it was wonderful and enough to share between me and my wife. We get a mix of lamb, beef, chicken and salad as well as pita bread. We also had the cold mezze start which was quite good. I will definitely return.

One of the best Turkish joint in north London. Situated on the golders green high street , u can't miss it as it is the most busiest restaurant on the street. The moment u get ur table and u get amazing fresh baked bread with spicy salsa and sour yogurt dip. The lamb beyti and yaprak doner is really nice. And after having ur dinner please save some room for their baklava.

Had my 2nd attempt of Turkish cuisine here, was very skeptical about giving it another try after my first (was not very nice). As I had a group outing and they chose the place.

I had the mix marinaded lamb & chicken shish kebab with salad, and it was delishhhhhh!!! I couldn't stop recommending the place to friends. I was hooked and wanting to have a meal there every weekend.

They have won a few awards in 2014 and saw a footballer there.

Eating Turkish food outside Little Turkey that I live in (Dalston that is) seemed a bit irrational, however far from many Turkish places on Kingsland Road go anywhere close to this Mediterranean haven in Golders Green.
The menu is standard as anywhere: mezze, kofte, kebab, dolma, musakka, imam bayildi. What's different, however, is... the Taste – the dishes taste and look as if they were prepared in Istanbul circa 1850 and delivered by a time machine straight onto your plate.
We discovered this place by chance, lost for half a year, and were extremely excited to rediscover by chance once again, when driving in the area. This time I had Patlican Sovurme – grilled aubergine with whole chilli peppers (that I couldn't eat, hehe) and tomatoes, dressed with olive oil, and served with rice. The aubergine was tender, with exuberant smokey flavour so strong as if they burned a whole forest to grill this one aubergine. The rice was a bit too soft for my taste, which is the only part of the meal I wasn't impressed by. Baba ganoush we ordered for a starter came as a surprise, as it was not the smokey and creamy tahini paste version (the Lebanese moutabal), but a roasted aubergine/tomato version – delicious nevertheless!
The portions are traditionally generous, preceded by soft white flatbread served with some yoghurt and spicy tomato sauce. If you come for lunch, forget about dinner!

When there yesterday for a group lunch on a Sunday rainy afternoon.

First time in Likya but 2nd time in a Turkish restaurant. I must say I'm missing it already.

I ordered grilled chicken and lamb skewers with salad. I like my grill meat to have the charcoal smell and it was right there deep in the meat. Just how I like it.

The plate was big but the portion wasn't very big. What my friends ordered, it looked so delicious. They ordered the same as mine but in kebab form so the meat was shredded instead of cubes.

However I must say, I managed to finish it and it filled me right up and I was satisfied.

Definitely coming back again!!

And definitely recommending to friends and will be the first choice when going out for a meal.

Great food served by lovely people.

Whether you get a takeaway or sit down likya never disappoints.

We live locally and take friends there and now it's the place they all want to come back to.

I love the mixed kebab- plenty of perfectly smoky grilled meat and my wife loves the various grilled veg dishes.

From the wings to the hummus, you can't go wrong.

I'll probably see you there on a Friday!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Likya Restaurant, and I have to say that the experience was mostly enjoyable. The food at Likya was quite good, with a variety of flavorful dishes that left me satisfied. In particular, the meats were well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. However, I did find the prices to be a bit on the higher side. This wouldn't have been a big issue, but the service charge was also quite high, which made the overall cost of the meal feel a bit steep. While most of the food was excellent, I did have a small issue with one of the dishes. The grilled tomato I ordered turned out to be a fresh tomato, which was a bit disappointing, as I was expecting something warm and slightly charred. That being said, the overall experience at Likya was still enjoyable, and I would recommend giving it a try. The food is mostly delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Just be prepared for slightly higher prices and don't forget to specify if you want your tomatoes grilled!

The food was mouth-watering and finger-licking good! I totally enjoyed it. The menu changed slightly from the last time I visited. They took off from the menu the sharing platter which was good to share when thinking of costs. Also no more free salad with the complimentary flatbread at the start. You have to order it as a side. A bit more expensive than before but I guess the new look and ambience make up for it. The restaurant is looking really great and the decor though not finished looks so good. The waiters were lovely and very helpful. We had an old gentleman at the restaurant take our pictures in the restaurant for a small fee. It was a lovely picture. We really enjoyed our food and finished it. I recommend this place if you want to hang out with friends or family.

So, I absolutely love Turkish doner and this place has nailed it. The cut of the lamb doner meat was perfect and the flavour just took me back to Istanbul/Antalya. Succulent, fatty and juicy. The moussaka dish was also very nice. The restaurant is nice and cosy. Literally next to Golders Green tube station say 10 minutes walk from the bus depot.

I love this place. The meat is cooked over blistering hot charcoal and is so succulent and juicy. You must eat in. Everything tasted amazing! If you’re a meat lover, this is definitely for you but don’t get me wrong, the grilled vegetables are also great!

This a review of the Likya Bakery / Cafe across the road from the main Likya restaurant. They sell mainly small snacks as well as coffee and cakes. They do a really good heart warming bowl of chicken soup. Recommended

I would definitely eat here again. The staff are all really nice, the food was nice too. We ate on a Sunday lunchtime and it wasn't too busy. The lamb chops were cooked really well but I would have liked more seasoning. Overall a good experience :)

Very busy place on a Friday definitely recommend booking in advance. Once we got seated service was very quick, all rounds came swiftly after ordering. Can tell they wanted to serve as many tables quickly as possible however they do not tell you to leave, they want you to enjoy your meal and leave in good time. Food was very tasty. 8 lamb ribs in a plate however only 3 lamb chops(would prefer 4 for the price). Ribs and Chops were beautiful. I tasted all the other dishes from my fellow dinners, nothing bad to say really. Would definitely recommend this place to all!

The food was absolutely delicious. We didn’t expect much, but had a very good time at this restaurant. We are not big fans of lamb, but here it was perfectly cooked: juicy and tender. The staff were friendly, the prices were pretty affordable.
