Great place to grab a bite. I've had steaks and burgers here. Steaks always cooked to exactly how I've asked. Rare hanger steak, Medium-Rare rib chop. Reasonably priced for the location and quality of meat. Burger was really tasty. Chicken wings are battered and fried, then covered in sauce. Perhaps a bit too much sauce but the staff are prepared with extra hand wipes for even the most messy eaters.

Went for a catch up dinner with a friend. Food was excellent. We had the express set menu which was really good value for money, although the mains don't come with sides, so fries etc are extra. would happily go again.

Tucked away near piccadilly circus, serving drinks steaks and burgers, great little place to catch up with a friend or go on a date, so not loud or having music blaring out loud. Decor was nice and subtle, I had a lamb chop and my friend a pork chop we both througly enjoyed and was a good portion size but the sides don't come with the dish so we ordered anyway one portion of chips, mushrooms and butternut squash, followed by some tea, all came to £30 each not bad. The streets liked good but we were full maybe next time.

If you are looking for superb steak in London - Chopshop is a fantastic space just on Haymarket. Lovely service and superb steak cooked to perfection plus open late which helps if you have just left the theatre.

Good pre-theatre menu £22 for three courses we had the 6 wings with blue cheese dip, 6-oz rump steak and a brownie sundae. We also ordered a side of butternut squash with goats cheese. The starter was lovely but the steak was a little fatty and there wasnt much cheese on the squash. Beers are £5. The dessert was lovely. One thing that stopped this review being 5* was the 12.5% service charge automatically added to the bill which is a bit cheeky.

Had a great meal here whilst staying in London on a business trip. Visited on a Wednesday night with our table booked for 19:00. It was fairly quiet but got slightly busier as the evening went on. The service was excellent, very attentive without being overbearing. The sharing platter to start was very nice. Had the Hangar Steak as a main which was excellent, not a bit of fat on it and cooked to perfection. Wasn't all that impressed by the dessert menu, but that's just personal preference. Would definitely visit again.

Had a really good dinner at Chop Shop. We went there on a Saturday night and the atmosphere was buzzing. Great food from starters and main course. The duck pate/mousse was amazing. Steak was great and cooked perfectly. Cocktails were also very good and different. Really worth a visit.

The best burgers ever! At least in area for sure! Good quality meet, huge portions, a bit expensive, but worth the money. Very good stakes as well. Not too posh design, but I like it. If you are looking for good quality food, then this is the place to go.

Luckily for me I work 50 metres away from chop shop. I absolutely love this place, go at least once a week. The menu is superb and executed brilliantly. Particular highlights for me are the scotch egg, wings and the melt in the mouth hanger steaks (you wont find a more tender steak in town). Staff are always a delight too. All round an excellent place. GO!

I'd heard about this place from a friend so I thought I'd try it out. The food is great and they do these house cocktails for about 8 quid that actually taste like a proper drink (aka strong). I've been back 3-4 times now so I've worked my way through the menul. Really high quality meat, well cooked and seriously tasty. Also the starters are really clever like braised beef croquettes - all reasonably priced compared to Gaucho and Goodmans. Ambience awesome too. I went one Wednesday and they have a live jazz/funk band downstairs. Top place.

It's not often I treat myself to steak (mainly because of the price), so it had better be worth it. Luckily, the Chop Shop didn't disappoint. My Creekstone USDA Hanger steak was £16 alone, but I savoured every last tender piece. The waiter recommended having it medium rare which I was a little hesitant of but said alright. Ever had rare steak which is like chewing gum, seemingly never breaking down no matter how much you chew? Fortunately it wasn't too stringy or difficult to chew which is testimony to the quality of meat they're using. The steak was more than happy to soak up the tangy vinaigrette meaning every time you chewed you would get a short burst of sweetness. I chose chips to accompany my steak, but wish and suggest I ordered vegetables to go with my steak. The chips weren't anything to write home about, perfectly crispy but not seasoned enough with rosemary so ended up being rather plain and not fit to side my steak. Once I had polished off my steak, it was time for the dessert - butterscotch custard. Oh dear lord. The butterscotch custard was amazing. Beautifully sweet and crunchy shortbread cookies, thick layer of Chantilly cream and an even thicker layer of salty caramel. I even had smaller spoonfuls so it would last twice as long it was that good. I may have put on a stone, but it was totally worth it. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere featuring exposed brickwork, inoffensive indie music playing in the background (thumbs up for playing ' Another Sunny Day' by Belle and Sebastian) and butchers knives sticking out of the wall!

Best meal I've had in a very long time. Excellent flavor pairings. You would expect the steak to be amazing, but even the sides and dessert... Highly recommend and would most definitely come back.

I went to Chop Shop for their soft opening in 2013 and once again last week and on both visit had the best time. The atmosphere is what you can expect from a central london restaurant but the style of the decor, the friendliness of the staff and the absolute gorgeous food are what makes this restaurant special. The meat is to die for (35 days aged fillet steak, so good) and the other dishes may appear simple but brilliantly prepared. We fell particularly in love with the Pulled Pork Sausage Roll and Cotechino Scotch Egg. During the dinner the waitresses noticed I offered presents to my partner as it was his birthday and they offered us a complimentary glass of champagne each. Chop Shop, what a treat

Chop Shop, it's been somewhat of a revelation for me! Working in Piccadilly and Soho it's great to finally have something fresh with an atmosphere :) Burgers, cocktails, meat! So much meat! The hangar steak is worth the trip central from any borough... the desserts, well they will settle any sweet-teethed-fiends in need! Really great look and feel to the place, always something interesting going on on select nights from live music, comedy and sport... the staff are charming, humorous and always remember a face... Until next time!
