One can’t deny the perks of having amazing sea food on your table . Try out this amazing place for it serves you with its sea food delicacies.
Booked via Zomato - reservations for 2 on a Saturday night and was surprised I was able to manage this the day before. Booking was smooth and when we arrived, a table rightly so, was waiting for us. Service was great with waiters on standby in case you had any questions. The food was okay and not as high quality as I expected given the reputation for the place. The portions were small considering the price we were paying for the food. We did have a good time nonetheless and would consider coming back if we ever craved seafood again (Being a born and bred Aussie, I'm still on the hunt for a great seafood restaurant in London).
I was aware of the Wright Brothers restaurants but never really thought of giving them a try because in my mind they were too much of a "chain" and whatever prejudices I have against these were clearly stronger than my curiosity toward the place. However, a friend of mine works nearby and suggested we have some oysters after work, and I never turn down oysters. Never.
I'm glad we went because I can safely say the fish is all fresh and great quality. The oyster selection we had (pictured) was fantastic and the rest of the menu was more creative than I expected and somewhat Asian inspired. The atmosphere is nice and pleasant and service is professional.
Good place to keep in mind when craving fish 🐠
I absolutely love oysters. I’d eat them everyday if I could, particularly my favourite type: Speciales Gillardeau. . In London, some of my favourites oysters are from the Richard Haward stall in Borough Market – they’re consistently plump and “fresh-off-the-sea”. However if there’s a specific place I’d recommend for variety and reliability, I’d always opt for Wright Brothers Oyster House in Soho.

In a city where lots of new things steal your attention and the latest trend may turn out to be a disappointment, it's really nice to have some restaurants like Wright Brothers where you know you can always have a great meal and a great time.
These mussels were fresh and really big. They tasted very sweet, however the only let down was the sauce itself. The garlic was too strong and not enough sauce to dip my bread into.Roast Dorset Cod Filet, samphire, leeks, wild mushrooms & truffle oil – 4/10. Roast Dorset Cod Filet, samphire, leeks, wild mushrooms & truffle oil
Loved this place for the seafood selection in the menu. The atmosphere is super nice and the service has been great. It has been my first time and I will definitely come back when I'll have the chance.
They deboned my fish in record time. I felt embarrassed yet impressed. These guys know their fish. Seriously impressive and seriously delicious. Not cheap, but definitely cheerful.
Go as a group to better sample what they have to offer, it would be a shame to stick to one dish when everything is just as delightful.
So this weekend I (Sammii) went to the Wright Brothers at the Kingley Court in Carnaby Street. Me and my flatmate both had a craving for oysters and to take advantage of their happy hour between 3pm to 6pm of £1 per oyster we decided to go for a lil brunch!. It was surprisingly not very busy, I would have thought that it would have been very busy because of the happy hour, but it seems as though the happy hour isn't very well promoted and it wasn't written anywhere or postered up! Good for us, we were seated right to a table and the place had a nice relaxed atmosphere.
If you're a fan of oysters - and I can't think of any good reason why you wouldn't be, because they're great - then you've never been short of places to indulge yourself in London. Pretty much every gastropub or mid-range restaurant worth its seasalt has at least some Rocks on the menu, and a good few go even better than that, with some zingy Natives on offer (at least, in season).
not too bad. food is alright but I would not consider this place as restaurant but more a pub. they have plenty choices of wine too ;) if you are around soho I would give a try.
Decided to take a close friend here for her birthday. Ordered the tiger prawn plate. We were both delighted with the fresh tasty food, the refreshing drinks and the very professional yet friendly service from the staff. Would recommend 👍👍👍
I visited with my wife for lunch. We had a unusual lunch that day, some unique items on the menu made it a very enlightening, jellied things etc., and pleasant meal.
The decor is pretty cool, nice wooden details. The service was good. All in all a very good experience.

We booked this for our anniversary meal and liked it so much we returned for their happy hour the very next day! At £1 a pop their oysters make for an affordable treat during their happy hour (3-6pm). Try their oysters dressed in cucumber sorbet, perfect pairing for the salty oysters. Or if you feel brave go for the wasabi, absolutely delicious! We went back recently and their menu had been changed which had worried me, but it turned out our favourites had made the cut. It's a fun atmosphere and the restaurant offers courses so you can even learn to shuck your own oysters!
Still great. Just back from another excellent meal. Can not agree with the comments regarding service. the lady who served us could not have been more helpful or indeed knowledgable.
The food is still excellent value and quality. Recommended.
Sparkling Service! Great food!. We had dinner at Wright Brothers tonight and boy! was it GOOD!
We started out with a giant platter of sea food and oysters and followed on with a beautiful portion of crispy squid.
We were nervous about ordering things we would not have very often, but our tall dark handsome waiter with an Irish accent to die for put us completly at ease and helped us through the menu with huge patience it was obvious he had a great deal of knowledge on not only where the food comes from but where it was caught, how it got to the kitchen, what time it got there and most importantly what wine to have with it!!
We started with a fruits de mer platter with Oysters. half lobster, half a pint of prawns and razor clams and a stonking crab the size of my face! The waiter must have seen our shocked faces at the amount we ordered and said assured us that it is not mac Donald's and it wont weigh you down! he then gave us a quick idea on how to get the oyster from the shell and said he would be back to check on us. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!
We were put down stairs and I have to say it was the best night out we have had in London yet! the food was perfect and the service just stunning! in some ways a good waiter can make or break a night and this one seemed to be going out of his way to ensure everyone was having the best possible night. we actually discussed this with table next to us!!
Wright brothers soho...... GO! GO! GO!
Great and straightforward food. I loved everything about Wright Brothers. Everything they served was simple, but delicious. We enjoyed the oysters, of course, but also highly recommend the peel-and-eat shrimp. The fish soup was exactly what I was craving and the main courses -- though limited in number -- were just great, simple seafood. Definitely would go back soon!
The first time I went to Wright Brothers was a few years ago, to their original restaurant in Borough Market, and I loved it. My friends Kristine and Baiba and I would go to Borough market, walk around, look at the delicious food there, maybe get something small, and finish our Borough Market experience with some oysters and champagne in Wright Brothers. Wright Brothers (now also with a branch in Soho where I went during my last visit) is a fish, shellfish, seafood and oyster restaurant and they source all their fish from Cornwall and are involved in the whole process from sourcing the fish, to serving it. Wright Brothers serve some amazing, and quite reasonably priced seafood, and I was reminded how nice this place was when I went there during my last visit. The atmosphere in both restaurants is casual, and it is so hard to find a great fish
So if you're lost on Regent Street and feel like having a glass of wine and some oysters or have a craving for some fresh seafood - do check out Wright Brothers.
I love eating oysters but am far from a connoisseur. Actually, I think I was something of an oyster-ignoramus before going to the Oyster Feast event at Wright Bros, Soho on Monday! The three-floored Soho restaurant is the latest venture from the Wright Bros, expanding on the success of the iconic Borough Market oyster bar and the Ferryboat Inn, Cornwall .
...the oysters were blissful and these were pleasant mid-afternoon snacks.
Massive windows allow ample light to stream onto the two open kitchens, and also offer passers-by cheeky views into the restaurant.
There's something that I like a lot about eating in restaurants where you can see the chefs at work rather than being sequestered away elsewhere.
The seafood linguine was exquisite. Al dente linguine with a rich lobser bisque and a perfect amount of seafood. I recently had this dish at another London restaurant and was disappointed with it – the sauce was far too rich and there was hardy any seafood present. The Wright Brothers definitely got the ratios right.
Wright Brothers is of course one of London’s famous oyster houses, or is rather, two of London’s famous oyster houses for there is one at Borough market and one, this one, in Soho. We have been to the one in Borough several times, it’s a compact little venue that even with a dozen people in feels busy, but when it is actually full, you have to feel comfortable about relinquishing what little personal space even London affords you; not one for the misanthropic. The Soho venue is entirely different. Spanning a split floor at the ground level and a large downstairs dining room as well as an outside terrace area, it can accommodate many people in a fair degree of comfort. It’s actually quite a charming venue in its own way with the restaurant making the most of the three tier space featuring seated food bars, a nice blend of wood, ceramic and metal, and downstairs, stylised lighting. The menu at Wright Brothers is a reasonably simple affair: broadly oysters, crustaceans and other 'usual su
As well as having an extremely elegant name, Wright Brothers is a lovely spot for a quick half dozen oysters propped up at the bar or a more leisurely and substantial meal from the short, seafood-heavy menu. An offshoot of the brothers'
I've long been a fan of the buzzy Wright Brothers in Borough Market so was elated that they decided to expand with a new branch in Kingly Court, just off Carnaby Street in Soho. We arrived at the split-level restaurant just after 1pm on the third day of o
One of my favourite restaurants for the year 2010 and probably will be for the year 2011 too.
The long time resident oyster bar at Borough market opened their 2nd London outlet in late 2010, in the very heart of central London. It takes up an entire wing that oversees the courtyard in Kingly Court, with a view of nearby Cha Cha Moon. Alan Yau's woefully modern noodlebar, which I dread, and which is a place I would only return to, if prices revert to the introductory £3.50-for-every-plate. Fortunately, I may never need to, now that the new Wright Brothers is so conveniently located, staying open all day from lunch through to midnight, I find myself compelled to go shopping, just as an excuse to pop in for a mid afternoon oyster slurping session. Wright Brothers are in fact oystermen themselves, who own the Duchy oyster farm in Cornwall, cultivating over 5 million natives and pacifics every year along the Helford River. I have obviously never visited, but it seems like an interesting weekend trip to conduct one of these days. This positions WBs as one of the most productive oyst
The crab was nice, would expect something more though along with the mayo, assorted with chips, some Scottish oysters and octopus starter with chorizo which was really worth it.
First time visiting Wright Brother's Soho branch. I have already had a visit to the Spitalfields branch before.
Located in the vibrant and upcoming Kingly Court. When I say upcoming, I mean Kingly Court only had 2 or 3 restaurant options this time last year. It now holds 6/7 options.
Wright Brothers are famous for their oysters and own an oyster farm down in the South West.
So on my visit, oysters were the first to try on the list. Me and my friend decided on the trying the dressed options. There were 3 options; chilli jam, kizami wasabi and cucumber sorbet. We received 3 oysters per option. So 9 in total. My favourite was the chilli jam dressed oyster. The first taste was of the fresh sea and then you had a gentle kick of chilli, which sent sensations through my taste buds.
We washed the oysters down with a bottle of the Hilltop Hungarian Pinot Grigio 2012. A fantastic white to accompany the fresh oysters.
Next we decided to share the Argentine Wagyu Beef Bavette with 1/2 Lobster. The beef was cooked medium rare and came out beautifully. The lobster was very good, although in hindsight it may have been easier to have a whole lobster when sharing.
For desserts we opted for the chocolate fondant with salted caramel and also the pear and apple crumble. We were not overly impressed with the desserts, especially the crumble. Very dry and lacked flavour.
Overall, the oysters and beef were top notch, desserts slightly disappointing. The service was very good. The ambience was good, on Tuesday night before NYE I was expecting to be a little bit quieter.
So if you want to go somewhere for a lovely, relaxing meal with great oysters, I definitely recommend Wright Brothers Soho!

Absolutely the best place to have any kind of sea food in London. I heavily recommend the lobster and the sea bass. Their sea bass is huge and the taste is something you will remember for a long time. The restaurant is a bit expensive but both me and my wife agreed that this was one of top three best dinners we ever had. Don't forget to try the different Oysters there. I recommend trying different ones instead of ordering the same Oyster.

When I think oysters Wright brothers spring to my mind, and when I saw them tweeting a deal on toptable spotlight daily deals I was ecstatic. For £20 I receive a gift certificate to dine for £40, I knew the first person to call was my friend Kim.
On arrival we were seated near to windows overseeing Kingly court. The interior reminded me a little of the Mussel men pop up I went to wheel barrows and ship theme, candles lighting up the room. We were served bread and butter this was the least favourite of the night. The bread tasted stale and the butter was too chilled to spread evenly onto the bread.
We knew exactly what we wanted the OYSTERS, well we did consider going for all 5 but that would have cost us nearly £30. Wisely I choose Speciale de Claire, Carlingford Lough and Maldon.
I glad I pick different countries oysters you can really taste the difference in the seawater, Maldon I usually have at Oyster stalls which had the familiar salty taste. The Speciale was very light and sweet, and Carlingford had a similar salty taste to the Maldon.
Another starter we ordered was the Prawn cocktail; it was our favourite dish of the night. The sauce was tangy and creamy and the Atlantic prawns were fresh and juicy. The avocado and lettuce was packed full of flavour.
Our final dish was Braised Pork belly with clams & salsa verde, the pork belly was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of seasoning but it was the clams that won me over with this dish. The clam was very fresh and each one tasted different, even without seasoning this was delicious.
As a side we chose the green salad the leaves were vibrant in colour and the balsamic vinegar worked great with the rocket leaves.
The original Wright Brothers restaurant in Borough Market is well known for their oyster raw bar and their Soho location off of Kingly street is a perfect spot away from the crowds on Regent Street. The restaurant is quite spacious and I think even if you don't make a reservation in advance, you might be able to get a table.
We started with a trio of oysters: Duchy Natives, Cumbrae and Lindisfarne . It was fun to try different types of oysters and get a sense of how they differ. Both of us preferred the Lindisfarne oysters - they had a nice mineral taste. I found the Cumbrae a bit too briny and the Duchy Natives had much too strong aftertaste.
It was a bit disappointing to arrive at 8:30pm and be told they run out of things on their menu. But luckily we satisfied our shellfish craving with some lovely fresh Atlantic prawns and a humongous whole Dorset Crab. A bowl of Whitebait with tartare sauce caught my eye and soon we were munching on these little crumbed fried fish.
We ended the meal with with one of their cooked mains - Cuttlefish cooked with chickpeas served with bread which was simply delicious and my favourite dish for the night. So if you're lost on Regent Street and feel like having a glass of wine and some oysters or have a craving for some fresh seafood - do check out Wright Brothers.
Food was excellent. Service initially was not ideal had a waitress who disappeared and we sat for 20 minutes without any drinks or food orders. Eventually spoke to someone and service improved. We will go back however.
Delicious dishes, seafood prepared & cooked to perfection. The service was ok although there were a few odd comments from the waiting staff. Mains were good value but the starters not so much, still very tasty.
Love the seafood at Wright Brothers
The menu isnt cheap generally but their £1 oyster deal in the afternoons is great. I took a friend who had never had oysters before and she is now a fan! Went back a few weeks later with more friends and they all loved the oysters. Great vibe in the afternoons too!!
Great selection of seafood! We had the seafood platter, oysters snd clams were wuite fresh. We also had some baked oysters and they were equally tasty as the fresh ones! Higy recommend trying the baked oysters! Beef and fish carpaccio were very nice and well-seasoned, sauces were really good! They have happy hour for oysters during the week so be sure to check it out.
Flat out incredible seafood. We built our own platter and it was excellent. Everything on the menu looked delicious but I highly recommend the selection of 12 oysters as it allows you to try a good range. Plus the whole crab was super tasty. Good choice of Champagne and Prosecco and all reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
The service was good although one of the waitress was probably new as she knew little about the food. The seafood platter was good, the food and wine selection was good. Portion size on the main course was small. Still felt hungry after the meal.
Amazing seafood restaurant, the service was great and the execution of the plates are great. The restaurant is located within kingly court in Carnaby, placing it in an terrific location.
Hidden gem in the heart of soho, they have happy hour where some oysters are £1 a pop. Great value for money. Oysters were really fresh and they have a great selection of cocktails and beers to go with them.
Love coming to Wright Brothers for their oysters. I always bring friends here and they always love it too. The staff are very attentive and also very friendly too. Definitely recommend anyone to come here and if you love oysters then check out the daily oyster happy hour!
Had tastiest oysters, fish soup and sea bass. Fresh and cooked to perfection. Helpful and friendly staff. Will be going again.
We spent Valentines dinner there, both loved it. Fresh high quality seafood, dedicated cooked scollops, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, can not ask for more.
Stunning fresh seafood. Was the perfect place for our Christmas party. The menu is fantastic and the service was extremely attentive even at one of the busiest times of year.
We had a booking and were seated extremely quickly in a super cute booth.
Deserts are also a must here, the fondant is to die for.
Affordable good oysters for happy hour. The drink wich contains lavanda, don't remember the name, something Pink, is incredible!!!
The staffs here are very very nice. Everything is good. We have a wonderful night here. Thank you.
Nice place, not super, but deals like £1 oysters at lunch definitely help!
Good food and service. About £50 a head, inc booze, if you choose from their specials. Crab was excellent.
