Gluten free risotto to be had here! And they even tailored it (which meant they cooked it fresh, it wasn't stewing in a pot) which was great. I had the mushroom & spinach pasta which was tasty, and of course hubby was the gf risotto eater! It was jumbo shrimp and they really were. I liked the cordial fizz (raspberry flavored) too - not as sweet as a soft drink, but refreshing. The place was busy on a Saturday night, so the food was a little slow to come out, but it wasn't all that long. Definitely on the "might go back" list.
Had a very special lunch here with my friends. It was my friend's birthday and the staff (Joanna) was very friendly, they gave us prosecco for my friend's birthday treat! Food was good, I had a very fresh gamberoni pasta. My friends ordered lasagna, pizza, and tortellini which was also very good.
Great experience here. If you enjoy Bella then this branch will meet or exceed your expectations. Opposite Adelphi Theatre so ideal for preshow food and drinks. A good sized restaurant with plenty of seating. I advise sitting downstairs/basement in very hot weather though. Our server was a lovely and attentive guy who made sure we were happy and engaged with us outside of taking our food and drinks orders.
In all seriousness. If you want to go out for an Italian meal, I'd be going here rather than somewhere like Circolo Popolare.
We had lunch to celebrate our friends' birthdag. We had the table at downstairs which there was only us there. Specifically impressed by the table service by Joana, the GM of this branch. She is very hospitable. The food was nice; I had the gamberoni.
I came on a Friday lunchtime and there were lots of other tables but it was still a really calm atmosphere to enjoy the food. I really love Italian food but being vegan, it’s difficult to find Italian places that have vegan options. I was happy with the options that Bella Italia had and went with the vegan meatballs and lentil ragu. I was looked after by Pablo who was amazing, very attentive and friendly. All other members of staff gave great service too!
Gabriel was fantastic, we arrived early and he got the table ready asap! Formaggio pizza was lovely, would recommend 😊
First time at Bella, and it didn't disappoint. The meals and deserts we had were really nice. Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. My wife uses a wheelchair and it was not a problem. Will definitely be dinning there again when we do another theatre trip.
Food was great. Had the schnitzel with garlic butter sauce. Nice thick piece of chicken cooked very well. Had the side of spaghetti with sauce. Sauce was like the one we make freshly every year at home. Service was quick and attentive.
Would definitely go back.
Bella Italia was wonderful!! The food was delicious and the service was great from Joanna - I will definitely be coming again!
A great central location. The ground floor is where the atmosphere is. However this time around we were seated comfortably on the lower floor, below ground level. Understandably this has a more enclosed feel. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing. Sadly some of the dishes that we wanted from the menu were unavailable but these were swiftly followed by suggested alternatives from our waiter. All the dishes were good, average portion size. I would highly recommend the cookie dough covered chocolate ice cream. Whoever thinks these dishes up should receive an award.
Managed to get a table without booking thanks to the server. Food really nice as usual for Bella Pasta. Only 2 servers on and they were run off their feet. We felt very sorry for them, which impacted on the atmosphere. The server we had was lovely, polite and efficient but there was a general tension in the restaurant as the wait for food and service was a bit longer than we gas normally experience. We will be back, really enjoy it.
We had a lovely evening at Bella Italia The Strand. Bartolomeu, our waiter, was very good at his duty and friendly. 👍
Quick service, nice and cool on a hot day and plenty of inside space to sit, even though we'd not booked, early evening on a Saturday still OK to get table. Good food, fairly priced and variety good for both veggie and gluten free guests (and a gf veggie guest!) - Specific mention to Gabriell who served us today was very friendly, very assertive on checking allergens, and got us in and out the door efficiently when we popped in for a quick early dinner bite before our next evening plans; really appreciate it!!

Easy booking system. Staff were excellent. The waiter asked if we had a show booked and what time it started. He ensured that we received quick service, without compromising on quality. Food was hot and delicious, service was efficient and friendly. QR code app worked well for paying the bill and I noticed that there was an option to split the bill on there too, which I can imagine is a god-send for larger groups!
