"Easily the best pub crawl I’ve ever gone on! I was pretty nervous that it was gonna be dead because I went on a Thursday night but I was totally wrong! We had a group of about 20-30 filled with awesome people and every place we went to was packed. Also shout out to the hosts who were also super cool"

Was reading about best breakfast joints in the city and this popped up. Lovely place, extremely courteous staff and above all - delicious food.

Called for the O'fresco (carrot, lime, ginger, apple, orange), Turmeric latte, Crab cakes and poached eggs and the cornflake french toast.

The crab cakes were a delight. Lovely poached eggs, creamy Sriracha hollandaise, crispy crab cakes and some lemon for cut through the creaminess. The addition of cornflakes to the French toast gave a consistent crunch to the toast and the maple syrup was quite nice too.

Simple menu but some killer dishes.

After Ramadan, one of the first things I did straight after is to go brunching! Not that my stomach could take that much but I’ve definitely missed going out for a nice breakfast / brunch. So after Eid, I decided to hit up this place which has long been on my brunch list – Eggbreak. Eggbreak is a neighbourhood brunch restaurant in the heart of Nottinghill. It is situated just behind Nottinghill’s main street, at a quaint pastel-coloured building. The restaurant is Ennismore’s (the group behind the Hoxton hotels) first standalone restaurant venture and it runs with a cozy rustic style of interior plus a laidback vibe. Arriving on a Saturday morning at 9-ish, the place was absolutely buzzing. The restaurant spans across two floors and it was pretty much full house.

Love this place. Not only it is very well located, but the place itself is very cozy, the staff is very nice. The food, oh the food! Great egg centered recipes (hence the name!) and coffee.Gets very busy during the weekends so I recommend arriving early. The queue system is good, with sms alerts, so you can always go for a walk at Portobello Road Market (don't go too far) to get an even bigger appetite for all the great food served here!

The place is a great one for a breakfast, once you enter you feel they are a small restaurant, however, they do have a lower level which is great and cozy. We were expecting more eggs selection out of the menu, what we had was good, however and to reflect on the name of the restaurant, a larger eggs breakfast menu would be recommended.

The humble egg has always been an integral part of my family’s cuisines. No matter what meal of the day or what occasion, it’s there in one form in another. A quaint little cafe that celebrates the egg in London is Egg Break, based in Notting Hill. For £10 I had the Sweet potato rosti with goats cheese, honey, pinenuts, dill yoghurt, and poached eggs. I love all the ingredients on this list, but the dish didn’t wow me as much as I was hoping for. The goats cheese slice is extremely thick and that dominates the flavours on the plate. My main disappointment was that the poached egg was less than stellar, the white was a bit all over the place which didn’t make for the most appetising execution/ appearance. The rosti itself is nice, I could have done with less of the kale bed and a touch more crispiness. Good size for a brunch and the setting and staff are perfect for this time of the day.

Gets busy during Saturday brunch, naturally, and for good reason. These egg-based dishes are delicious. Had the Turkish eggs - the best thing about it is the cheesy toast on the side. Service was pretty prompt considering how busy it was.

A perfect escape for a rainy day in London. The place is very cozy and homey, it's also a nice place to work as it is pretty quiet (no loud music, etc). The service is very nice (very friendly!). Latte was fine, food portion was big but the Mexican Omelette was delicious - especially if you like something a bit spicy.

Visiting from Adelaide, South Australia so I like to think I know my brunch. I had the corn cakes with spinach, poached eggs, mushrooms, bacon and hollandaise. Hands down the best eggs I've ever had. The hollandaise wasn't too rich (which I find many places can be) and my eggs were soft and gooey! Coffee wasn't the best but wasn't terrible. Service was attentive and friendly. Relaxed decor with excellent music playing in the background (think The Black Keys, Adele, The Rolling Stones ...) to set the mood. Come here if: you're looking for a no fuss breakfast with a bit of personality, you need to focus on some work or if you're only in London for a short while - it's well worth it!

This cute cafe is the perfect place for egg or avocado lovers ! We went there for breakfast although the entire menu is all day Breakfast cafe!

The place is cosy and small ( downside is that they don't have a AC inside ) so it can get quite hot in summer.

The service is friendly and the avocado toast with poached egg is as good as it looks in pictures !

They serve some mean mimosas too.

Keep gobbling xx

Went for brunch and had a burger that was on special which was delicious, and the iced tea was lovely. It's a cute little place and exactly the sort of atmosphere for a relaxed weekend morning. That said, neither my friend nor I could spot the promised bacon in our burger (although we didn't really mind so didn't raise it) and over £20 a head seems a little steep for a burger, one small side between 2 and some tea. But maybe I'm too used to East London prices. I'd still happily go back if I was that side of town.

My insta feed is always full of eggy goodness pictures from newly opened Eggbreak in Notting Hill. So it was the logical choice for a brunch date a few weeks ago.

Of course, I had to choose an egg dish. I had the corn cakes with poached eggs and sriracha hollandaise. I have to say, the cooking was uneven.

For the main course it felt only appropriate to sample something from the anytime eggs selection. I opted for the corn cakes topped with spinach, poached eggs and sriracha hollandaise – this last element was a stroke of genius, a perfect little twist that elevated the dish from your average eggs Florentine to something a bit a different. Getting on the sriracha/hot-sauce hype also gives Eggbreak a touch of the on-trend credentials I think they’re aspiring too. The good veggie range even managed to inspire my carnivorous boyfriend to choose vegetarian option, the green shakshuka, which he thoroughly enjoyed and seemed very tasty from the mere morsel I was permitted to sample.

On a Sunday afternoon in London, you can bet that there’s a wait at one of the neighbourhood’s trendiest brunch spots. Thanks to some impatient souls in front of us who think the wait isn’t worth it, we manage to bag one of the basement tables in under 20 minutes. Brunch is unhurried, but that’s almost a given. Spoilt for choice with the egg-zotic sounding dishes, we finally settle on a Full English Breakfast, and the Broken Eggs with Scarmoza, Chorizo and Spring Onions, and the Dutch Baby Pancake.

On a Sunday afternoon in London, you can bet that there’s a wait at one of the neighbourhood’s trendiest brunch spots. But there's plenty of seating in the basement, so don't be disheartened after seeing the tiny ground floor!

The dishes are rather egg-otic sounding, but my friend settles on a Full English Breakfast, and I go for the Broken Eggs with Scarmoza, Chorizo and Spring Onions. For dessert, we decide to split the Dutch Baby Pancake. The broken eggs (which are scrambled eggs for those who are more familiar with the term), have a generous dollop of scarmoza, which makes for a delicious combination with the grilled tomato and spring onion garnish, but it’s the chorizo that’s the subtle star of this dish, hidden in each bite.

True to its laidback vibe, the waiter has absentmindedly overlooked the pancakes, but assures us that they’ll be on their way in another ten minutes. The wait is worth it, because these pancakes are warm and heavenly. The unusually soft consistency without the conventionally fluffy texture sets these apart from regular pancakes. Topped with sour berries and powdered sugar, the silky-soft dough goes down well. Suffice it to say our sweet tooth in both of us is satisfied.

Lovely food! First time to give this a go and as I'm a big fan of the humble egg I was very excited! Alike others, broken egg with chorizo is a winner! So much love for the service, very friendly and alert staff. The Fennel sausage was mediochre and I had higher expectations despite being told by my boyfriend that it was incredible. After he tried a piece, he also agreed they had tasted better the time he came before? Change of recipe? Not sure...might just be a hit and miss! The hash browns were really good though! Would eat here again but it's not a fav x x x

Egg Break in Notting Hill is Soho House's contribution to London's egg revolution. Knowing Soho House (Pizza East, Dirty Burger, Chicken Shop), this site will be the first of many, but it's not a chain yet and this cosy brunch spot is full of character.

Prices have sadly gone up since I went in September, in some cases by as much as 33%, but there were some bun bargains in there that were too good to be true. The technicolor Fried Chicken Bun with Pickled Green Tomato, Red Onion, and Mayo was an absolute steal at £6, but it's still affordable at £8, though it doesn't come with any sides. Speaking of which, you should definitely get yourself some Fennel Sausage for £3 and their rather special Hash Browns, also for £3.

Elsewhere I can recommend the intriguing plate described as Farro, 63° Egg, Avocado, Radish, Beetroot, Feta, and Sorrel Pesto which has crept up a quid to £9. So many questions... well, two. What is Farro? And why is my egg acute?

Google to the rescue as ever. First off, farro is a whole grain that's a bit chewier than rice when cooked - duh. Secondly, I have discovered that people are truly obsessed by egg poaching. Type in "The Food Lab - 63° Egg" for a ridiculously thorough examination. Basically, the eggs are slow cooked, sous-vide style (in a water bath) at 63°, for an hour or so (or something slightly more precise than that) to achieve the perfect runny yolk - ideal for #eggporn.

We finished off with Baked Salted Caramel & Creme Fraiche (£4) which wasn't as exciting as we hoped, but it did give me a chance to get channel my inner Andy Warhol (see below).

All in all, we had a lovely time and a filling brunch that didn't break the bank. There's plenty else on the menu that I'd like to try, as long as the prices don't continue to rise! It's a good spot to know about in the back streets of Notting Hill, and has earned its place on Map The List.

It's open 7 days a week from 8am-10pm serving a variety of eggy plates (from Eggs Florentine to Spaghetti Carbonara), but expect to queue for a spot of brunch at the weekend.

Hidden between the colourful homes in Nottinghill, hides Londons Latest Breakfast/Brunch gem . If you are an egg lover like myself, then this just may become your regular Sunday Spot.
Finally a place in London which serves breakfast after 11am. I know I'm not the only one who wakes up on a Sunday, maybe slightly hungover, fridge empty from drunken cooking the night before and realise ahhhh Breakfast time is over, I now have to have lunch food.. Lame, no one wants lunch food for breakfast…. Until EGG BREAK . The Sunday morning rush of making a 10:55am reservation is now over... wooohoooo ... thats another snooze on my alarm.
Vibes: The exterior screams Greasy Spoon cafe: but the long line of fashionistas waiting for their eggy brunch said otherwise. At 1:30pm the line was out the door, shame as it was pretty windy and they do not have a waiting area, however my wait was not long. After 10 minutes I was seated with menu in hand and coffee on the way. The interior is super cute shabby chic, casual and cozy just how I like my Sundays.

What I ordered: Paper menus, hmmmmm but those prices " Winning" The menu appeared quite simple, but everything looked so delicious, it was a difficult choice. Another coffee had to be ordered as one was not enough to get me through my decision...
Perfectly Poached Eggs on Avocado Gluten Free Toast. This was mouthwaterly delicious.
Side of Hash Browns.. Pipping hot, cripsy yummyness on the outside, soft squishy on the inside. I actually ordered an extra portion.
Side of Fennel Sausage : More like mini pork burgers. The flavour, omg ... I would come back just for these and next time I will not be sharing..
Describe Egg Break in 3 Words - Tasty Comfy Casual …
Will I go back? Definitely, the eggs are egg-cellent “ couldn't help myself “ lol
What I Loved - Fun, friendly staff and you will read that in every review. Food was served prompty and still pipping hot. I could eat their breakfast for dinner .

The humble egg has become a rather fashionable food in London. Low in calories, high in protein, rich in iron and containing all nine amino acids, it’s no surprise that the delicate oval now has several restaurants dedicated to cooking it in all manner of ways. Personally I love a good egg and I was excited (that’s right not egg-cited, this will not be a post full of egg puns!) to try Egg Break, the brand new cafe celebrating this simple ingredient.Ok, from the outside it’s more greasy spoon than silver spoon, but I like the humour in the sign. Egg Break is a fun place that doesn’t take itself too seriously and despite being owned by the super cool Soho House Group, it’s not trying to be anything slick and exclusive. Located off the main road in a more residential area of Notting Hill, the cafe is a bit of a hidden gem and it’s not being heavily advertised either…it’s somewhere you could easily miss. The interior has a shabby chic vibe including a bar to mix up your best bloody Mary hangover cures, and an smaller seating area upstairs…And a bigger basement below, apparently the whole place is packed on the weekend with people seeking out the best brunches to start their day… I was meeting Pooja, Head of Marketing for Soho House in the UK for what promised to be a rather

I recently visited Egg Break for breakfast on a Saturday morning with the lovely Sheepa.
We were seated at the table by the front windows and handed the food and drink menus.

The menu is divided into a few categories: Basics, Buns, Plates, Salads/Veg/Soup, Sides and Sweets.

We ordered to mains to share between us. One was the bun with folded egg, sweet corn, salsa, red cabbage and sour cream. A nice simple bun but it was probably slightly plain for me and could have done with more filling/sauce to make it taste better.
I really liked the broken eggs with chorizo, roast tomato, scamorza and spring onion. This was served with two slices of toasted sourdough.

We also ordered a couple of sides: avocado and sea salt, and the hash browns which were nice and crispy.

We were quite full after all that, but we could not resist ordering a couple of desserts to try - there is always room for dessert!
The baked salted caramel custard was served in a small teacup and topped with creme fraiche - sweet but nothing too exciting.
We both really liked the Dutch baby pancake with raspberries, almonds and powdered sugar.

The place seems quite small from the outside but they actually have more seating downstairs. Overall it was a pleasant and satisfying meal and I would visit again to try out more eggy dishes :)

Is there anything better than a good all day brunch joint? Especially when it looks very simple from the outside and turns out to be a total gem inside? Didn't think so - and Egg Break is the true definition of this.  . You go in, and it's decorated in the most simple yet beautiful way - but more on that later. I was meeting the lovely Pooja from Soho House, the brand behind Egg Break, to hear more about them an their restaurants.

A relaxed neighbourhood spot in Notting Hill, Egg Break is the latest venture by the uber trendy Soho House Group, serving up all things deliciously eggy! Keen to check it out, the girls and I headed over for a lazy brunch on an idyllic summer’s afternoon, nabbing the table outside.

From the basics – eggs any way you like ’em – to eggy bun, soups and salads, the choice is pretty eggscellent (okay, okay. I’ll stop). The baps have developed a bit of a cult following already, but very much feeling a “ladies who lunch” vibe, we went for the lighter options with salads and plates, creatively textured with an egg to top off – the flourishing touch binding together different flavours.

George, the wonderfully charismatic Manager didn’t let us off the hook for dessert though, and just as well. The lemon bar is a treat for those (like me) who like their desserts on the citrusy-side – a tart dense lemon filling sitting tight atop a firm brown-butter shortbready crust.

While the baked salted caramel custard is a seriously sweet affair, with a generous dollop of crème fraîche for good measure. It’s the Hob Nob biscuit quirkily dunked in that makes this though – just begging you to break off chunks to scoop out the custard.

I visited Egg Break today for lunch and boy oh boy was I impressed. We ordered two dishes between us - the fried chicken and the deconstructed eggs with chorizo as well as a selection of sides (fennel sausages, hash browns and jalapeno chips) for mains.

OH my, the fried chicken and egg in a brioche bun is a must order - and I highly recommend the deconstructed egg with chorizo and tomato. Both are extremely delicious, full of flavour and the epitome of simple food done well.

In terms of sides, both the hash browns (some of the best I've ever had) and the sausages were incredible. Full of flavour and all round wonderful. The jalapeno fries were more like little potatoes and I wasn't as taken aback by them as I could have been.

Word of warning: you've got to order dessert. The pancake is by far one of the best desserts I've had in a long time.

Well worth visiting - I'm sure I'll be back soon!

This place has been on our list for a while now. & it didn’t disappoint. WARNING: you have to queue. We queued for an hour & half. The gentleman organising the tables was super cool & calm (unfortunately a Man Untd supporter 🤣) & kept everyone reassured about a table. Once in we were super hungry so we got the Baklava croissant (3.5/5) Fried chicken sandwich (5/5) sweet potato hash (5/5) tater tots (3/5) Nutella French toast (4/5) The underwhelming dishes were the croissant, clever but didn’t wow us, tater tots were very simple & the cornflakes on the French toast, once cooked lost its Crunch, But the Fried Chicken sandwich & sweet potato hash were outstanding. I wish I tried more of the dishes but we were so full. A must try. A tip, download the DOJO app to get in the queue before hand.

The food was good. Eggs Benedict were tasty, both the option with bacon (which feature proper bacon and not just boiled ham) and salmon. The cappuccino was too bitter. They have large queues so you should use an app to virtually queue in advance. The staff was polite. Unfortunately one of the eggs in my eggs Benedict was overcooked and the staff changed it when I complained but they only brought an egg as a replacement and not the whole dish, to be honest this is the first time in my life I have seen it. They offer a possibility to pay with app although it had a rip off commission of ~2%. In my opinion when it saves time for the staff and allows the owners of the place to welcome new guests sooner, it’s their interest to have the payment with the app and they should cover the costs if any, and it should not be the guests paying additional fee. You can ask for the bill from the staff and pay without any commissions although in my case they forgot about my ask and I had to remind them

Food tasted fantastic — perfectly cooked eggs (so runny!) and the flavours surprised me a little; loved the sweet and savoury combination, with optional spice (they'll offer you tabasco, green pepper sauce, etc). The bathrooms were incredibly cramped, which is fine, but the locks were prone to jamming and overall the bathroom didn't seem regularly checked/upkept. I was sure local mice would keep me company from the hole in the wall.
