Now with multiple branches in central London, Inamo is an Asian fusion restaurant serving up a variety of Asian cuisines, with classic Korean, Chinese, Thai dishes and a large sushi, sashimi menu. Overall, the service of the food was fast and efficient, especially as you could use the iPad to select your dishes and the flavours reminded me of authentic Asian food! The coolest thing about the restaurant is their interactive tables, with a miniature plastic button like device, you can click the holographic projection on the table to play games with one another whilst waiting, or change the interactive “table cloth” designs. We did unfortunately have to wait around 20 minutes after our reserved time for our table to be ready, but to be fair, it was a Saturday night.
Located in the heat of Covent Garden, with two additional sites in Soho and Camden, Inamo has made a name for itself as one of the leading Asian Fusion tapas restaurants in London. So, when it came to checking out the best place to visit for Asian inspired dishes, a trip to Inamo was on the cards!. As we entered the Covent Garden venue on Tuesday night, we were promptly shown to our seats by the friendly greeter on the door. Sitting in centre of the tranquil, bamboo filled restaurant, we were brought a couple glasses of prosecco as the ordering process was explained to us.....
Went here with the Bookatable offer of all you can eat for £28. I was excited to try out the interactive tables but was disappointed to find out the clickers didn't really work, they had even given us 4! The food itself was nothing special but I did like that we could order off the tablets as it made the service very quick. We tried a large selection of the menu but nothing really stood out. However the salt and pepper squid was over salted and not edible.
I would not have gone here if there was not an offer as I think the food is over priced.
Good food and a great experience. Have fusion oriental food and play games on an Interactive table too. The sake martini are amazing too and one is never enough
The site for the latest inamo restaurant was once home to Cafe des Amis du Vin. At the time one of the most authentic French dining experiences in London, it was somewhere I’d frequent in my twenties and thirties. There was a sophisticated and louche wine bar in the basement, a cafe with bench seating on the ground floor and, if I remember rightly, a posh restaurant upstairs that I never could quite bring myself to afford. Going along to the launch of the newly refurbished contemporary Asian restaurant was just a little nostalgic for me.
Food wasn't all that great although I've heard so many good reviews so might just be what I ordered. We did cocktail masterclass so much fun definitely recommend.
Had the best quality sushi ever!! You get to order from the table which is a tablet and it sends the order through to the staff, the tablet on the table also had a variety of fun things to do such as games. Service was high tech and interesting.
Came here with the groupon deal and was not disappointed with the buffet. You order the food on the interactive tables and the food comes fairly quickly. The food was all delicious! Staff were friendly and helpful, was not too busy visiting in a weekday either.
There were some issues with the interactive tables as they are not very responsive and prone to double clicking meaning you have to go back and scroll through the menu and start again but it’s a nice concept, tablets probably would be more useful as it’s hard to order with the plates scattered all over the table.
Fantastic service with a lovely smile from Christian! As it’s my birthday he brought me a lovely little treat! Definitely be back 😍
I recently dined at Inamo Covent Garden, and it was a delightful experience. The standout feature of the evening was our amazing host Tim. He not only ensured our dining experience was top-notch but also added a touch of humor to the evening. He made a witty joke about charging us for extra chopsticks, which lightened the atmosphere and set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. The service was impeccable, and the food was equally impressive. I highly recommend this restaurant for a combination of great food and an entertaining host.
Great fresh Sushi, Great experience in general, cool concept of having the use interactive screen tables to order food.
3 star on service due to staff, they weren’t pleasant or unpleasant but just sort of made you feel like they/you didn’t want to be there.
For example, myself and my partner would be playing 2 player games on their interactive tables and at one point the waiter literally dumped sushi on our hands and walked away…
They had a great selection of vegan alternatives. Vegan salmon for instance not sure of the actual make up). So for any veggies/vegans wanting a sushi experience I’d deffo check it out.
We came here for bottomless brunch.
I do not eat sushi but I was happy enough with all the tapas choices. The food is great and the prosecco was flowing.
The only remark I will make is that the dishes came out randomly and some of the dishes did not come at all.
It's a place worth going with a group of people. We went for the bottomless food and drink. The ribs and the karage chicken was great. The electronic table to order was a bit sensitive, so took some time to use. The food came quickly but they weren't as quick to top up the drinks. I think it would have been good to be allowed to mix the drinks. I chose wine but had to stick with that, and therefore could not order the beer within the same price. I think there could have been more non Sushi options.
Nice concept with an interactive table to order and play games, good for kids. Food is kind of mediocre for the price, and some weird combinations such as salmon sashimi and marmalade… the lamb was chewy. Oh also the table was already pretty sticky even before we sat down because everyone who eats there has to use it as a touchpad for ordering and it doesn’t look very clean, so you may need some wet wipes or something. And the table runs on windows OS and crashed a few times.
I loved the food and the service was really polite. SONU was helpful for us to choose the food and she was amazingly fast! Finally dont forget to play some games on the table’s screen! Loved the place!
So this is a situation where I wish you could give 4.5 stars. I don’t believe they deserve 4 stars, but I am struggling to give 5 because I think they didn’t quite get there. But I gave 5 because so far in London no one has achieved what I would call 5 star service. Food was excellent, theme was fantastic, service was 3.5ish…. Anyway get the crispy lamb, and don’t miss the old fashioned. You’ll really love this spot.
Good place to have fresh sushi and good value at Inamo for unlimited sushi if one's is able to get a good price at Groupon.
Very good service rendered by the staff. However, orders could take a while if the place is busy.
Will be going to Inamo once a month for unlimited sushi if able to buy their unlimited sushi offer when next available.
Came here for lunch on the 19th August with my partner, didn't pre-book but we asked at reception and were seated within half an hour so it wasn't long to wait at all. Seated in a nice area, only downside was that the music was quite loud and mixed with the noise from other tables it made it hard to have a proper conversation. However the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the butterfly roll, dragon roll, soft shell crab, chicken karaage, beef gyoza, asian fries w orange pepper mayo, veg takoyaki, salmon sashimi, and non alcoholic cocktails "peach blossom fizz" and "tropical storm". Drinks were very good and dishes came nicely prepared. Kitchen service was a little longer than we expected. Interactive tables were a little confusing to use at first but we got the hang of it and played a few games during our meal. Thank you!
A nice place with very good quality and well presented sushi.
A swish environment suitable for a nice fine dining experience with a feel that you can be casual if you want too. It is very spacious inside and well decorated. But it is quite dimly lit apart from the screens you use to order and play games on.
I thought it was quite an unusual thing to be able to entertain yourself playing games and to order at will anything you like. It seemed to mean service was quicker and staff were still exceptionally attentive and always around to help.
This will be a great place for sushi lovers of a ages and for a range of meet ups from birthdays to business meetings. It would be most fun before a night out in London.
The food was definitely the best sushi I have had so far in the UK. However, there really wasn't enough in the afternoon tea for two.
