Went with my sis and bro in law and their friends !! Good place to have a good time !! Good drinks wines!! Evening crowded!! But beautiful place to have a chilled out evening in London!!
Outside of my radar, I found myself wandering into the Larrick to celebrate a friend's birthday over the Larrick's brunch menu.We pretty much had the newly refurbished bar to ourselves, enjoying a relaxed yet nicely polished environment. We sat along a long, wooden table with mismatched chairs and a chilled soundtrack playing unintrusively in the background.Service was always accessible but the one waitress pretty much left us alone except to bring the necessaries, and even bordered on rude in the matter-of-fact, stern responses we received. Anyway, she brought us our requests and that's as far as you need to go really, in a gastropub. They have a small menu of cocktails, but I would recommend this as a place for beers, wine or G&Ts.They have a standard menu, but as a birthday brunch, I opted for eggs Florentine; two perfectly poached eggs with oozy centres that dribbled over the spongy bread and salty spinach, and mingled with the creamy hollandaise sauce. Whilst this dish was humble in size, there are options for the more stomach-spacious eaters. Burgers with a choice of additions and types of cheeses, a crispily battered cod fillet the size of my arm or a generously-sized fishcake served towering atop asparagus spears and drizzled with a creamy sauce are all on offer.Strongly recommended for a chilled afternoon catch up with some easy-going people, or, to take advantage of their 'children eat free' policy over the weekend, a good place to take the family.
Had a relaxing dinner on a stopover at Paddington, and really enjoyed the Larrik! Sophia was a delight and really helpful with our questions. Food was solid - the fish and chips were great, the nachos were basic but very fresh (would have recommended the cheese be better melted, ended with chilled grated cheese throughout, which is never the best). Loved the big open windows and relaxing feel. Our table was kind of aggressively sticky (it ate my napkin), but that's kind of the pub vibe isn't it.
We arrived in London and this was our first pub stop. It was late. Stefan greeted me and was honest, letting me know they were almost sold out of food. He attempted to make me a reservation at their sister pub who was also out of many entrees. We opted to stay because they still had some great options. The fish and chips were delicious. The beer options were great. Stefan was helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend this local spot and we will probably be back before we leave!
We visited for Sunday Roast and really enjoyed the food! Very impressed with the sticky toffee pudding! Loved that the veggie roast was the same as the meat roast in terms of veg and Yorkshire pudding.
We had to wait a while for drinks and cutlery but staff were very friendly and happy to accommodate us. It was very busy too, which could be why we experienced the delay.
Would definitely recommend and would visit again.
All the staffs on Thursday night (Ruby, Sophia, Elena and Stefan) were super friendly and attentive. Super busy pub, but they have a good range of drinks to choose from. All the staffs were so friendly and attentive, which made my night a million times better. I will definitely come back to the larrik soon!
Absolutely loved our Sunday roast lunch booking at The Larrik. The staff were just lovely and also very kind as I had been stuck in the Euston station signalling issue. When I walked through the door I was offered a drink straight away which I very much appreciated. I joined the rest of my family and had the most beautiful Sunday roast dinner. Plenty on the plate and every component tasted sensational. I also ordered a side of cauliflower cheese which was a taste sensation. Sadly I didn't arrive in time for a starter so on my next visit this will be a must for me. Desserts we equally as good as the rest of the meal. One small critique, if you have mobility issues the toilets are on the lower floor, be careful going down the stairs and watch the flooring at the bottom as it appears to have warped and some of the boards are starting to lift. I definitely needed my walking stick. I will most definitely be going again, why would I go anywhere else. This place is the complete package for me.
Thank you to all the team at The Larrik.
Wonderful place for a bite and a drink. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
What a gem! My wife and I were just walking in the area and decided to stop in for dinner on May 11th. Food was fantastic and the service from Jackie was impeccable. They got hit with a big group but no matter the service never lacked, beer cold and food was really good
I haven't been in this area for years, so it was a pleasant experience to wander around the streets off Edgware Road. The Larrik looks good even from the outside. Indoors was spacious with a variety of seating for both drinkers and groups of diners. Prices were not too bad for a posh area, and staff were efficient and friendly. I only had two glasses of wine and a chat with the local folk. I'll be back.
Lovely friendly pub with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Music was quiet enough to talk. Decent selection of higher end beverages to choose from. Very friendly team behind the bar.
Nice gastro-pub, gets very busy so you need to book a table if you want to be sure of a seat. Wouldn't recommend just dropping in for a casual pint as most of the space is given over to food service. The food is not bad without being spectacular, certainly decent value for this part of London. The service was swift and friendly.
From the second I entered (The guy stopped whatever he was doing and provided his full undivided attention to my every need, was attentive to details and was super hospitable) to the second I stood outside waiting on my Uber (They saw me standing outside so they extended the sun covers so i dont get wet in the rain) service was AMAZING! Such knowledgeable, warm and nice staff, explaining all about the beers (Plus recommendations), the food and anything in between. I wish there were more stars to give! Definitely my best pub experience during my stay in London.
Very confortable, tastefully decorated corner pub, with pleasant views down tree lined Crawford St. Good quality food with daily specials, kids menu if you ask (and they are very welcome). Nice airy feeling about this. Some tables outside. Good selection of wine. Artwork is very good. One of my favourite Marylebone pubs. The owner has a few in the area, worth trying also.
First time experiencing a pub in London and it did not disappoint. I really wanted to try the pea and nettle soup, but they were out unfortunately. Instead, I opted for the Scottish egg with piccalilli. I learned that piccalilli is similar to curry pickles. LOVED IT. Vibrant in color and full of flavor. For mains, I got a beer battered haddock. Going full British tourist here. The breading was light and the fillet was large. Perfection. My friend got the sticky ginger pudding with vanilla ice cream for dessert and it was amazing. The ginger was present but not overwhelming and the sticky pudding was piping hot. It went well with the ice cream.
Overall, it was truly a great experience and could not ask for a better send off back home.
Ruby made my night! She is the most personable, happiest person ever! We also love Sophia, she is so genuine and lovely and made us feel so welcome. Ruby however went above and beyond for us, her passion for the role shone through… Me and my friend will be returning because of the great beer and gin selection but mainly because of Ruby !!!!!
If you want to try great fish and chips, this is one place you can’t miss!
Searching Google Maps for a lunch location, Larrik’s menu satisfied the masses. The group had the fish and chips and chicken Caesar (pictured), as well as a couple burgers. Everyone cleaned their plate. Staff were friendly and prompt. Great neighborhood location with an inviting setting.
The best last minute decision I’ve ever made visiting The Larrik - The food was exceptional.
The picture nowhere near does it justice to how good it tasted. The beef was cooked to perfection and melted away in your mouth. The roast potatoes were huge and fluffy on the inside. The vegetables were prepared and roasted to perfection. The Yorkshire Pudding was superb.
Even the service was friendly even with it being busy, having genuine conversations with the staff and checking everything was OK for you.
Great atmosphere; cosy, welcoming and the music just topped it off. Seems family orientated, as I seen some locals talking with somebody who looked like the chef. I will be visiting again.
What a gorgeous pub. I love the design of the interior, it's so cosy and stylish. I can imagine in winter it would be even more comfortable with this atmosphere.
3 of us came here for dinner and were seated at a nice table at the back. This part of the pub can be section off by a lovely thick curtain for private parties.
We ordered:
- Hampshire crayfish roll, little gem, Parmesan & smoked chipotle £9.50
- Whole burrata, Datterini tomatoes, black olive tapenade & grilled ciabatta £10
- Truffle & Parmesan Fries £4.50
- Kids Menu Fish & Chips with mushy peas £5
I'm not sure about the burrata dish, it was a little tasteless with hardly any tomatoes and the mushy peas were missing from the kids fish & chips. But other than this, the food was lovely - the fish was fried perfectly.
Our server was really friendly and lovely, although she was rushed off her feet because I think they were short staffed that evening.
Would definitely come here again for drinks or food.
Staff are polite and attentive,Sticky chicken thighs were nice, Aspall cider crisp and refreshing but no too sure if aperol spritz meets any average one in London. It tasted like vitamin C dispersible tablets.
