Staff were friendly and attentive. The quality of the food was great.
For nibbled and starters, we thought the Nest egg was nice but it didn’t ‘wow’ us (especially at £9 an egg). The bread basket and soft shell crab were delicious, as were the olives. The charcuterie board isn’t worth ordering, couldn’t taste anything from the meat. The truffle pasta was amazing.
For mains, we had duck and the trio of lobster. I couldn’t fault the duck. It was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The steamed bun surprised me too, full of meat and very enjoyable. My husband has the lobster dishes, which he said were nice but we’re probably style and presentation over substance, and didn’t match with the price.
Overall a lovely meal. The venue is nice with slightly lower than ground level with full glass walls. My only criticism of this is that we were by a window near the back bar, and didn’t find looking at huge bins very pleasant! Not sure I would return, as for £250+ we’ve had better experiences elsewhere.
Lovely dining experience. I took my girlfriend for her birthday and we both loved the food. Really creative and inventive.
The acorn cake was an absolute highlight, it was quite wonderful.
My only minor issues were that, despite being practically empty (it was a Tuesday lunch), it took quite a while to get any menus after being seated (over 10 minutes, at least) and then we also had to wait a similar amount of time to get the bill after dining. Not a huge issue.
Delicious wine selection too, and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful.
Overall, It was a one of the best breakfast experiences in London.
Food was perfect and delicious, especially the truffle scrambled egg and the French toast, everything was beyond my expectations.
The service was great and they were so friendly, their hospitality was great. Amazing place and well trained staff.
I will definitely recommend it for everyone I know.
Friends gave us a gift of a meal at HIDE, and this place did not disappoint! Very expensive, but the food is incredibly creative and flavorful, and the staff was friendly and attentive (just enough without being intrusive). The restaurant is gorgeous, and the views out over Piccadilly Street and Green Park are a great bonus. Definitely a special occasion restaurant, highly recommended!!!
One of my favorite restaurants in London! Super delicious, and its the first michelin restaurant that i actually think it deserves the star. Food is incredible. We had the duck and the octopus, starters and dessert. The price is high but it is reasonable with the quality of the service and food. The small dessert with banana filling is to die for! And the interior is amazing! Great for special occasions. Will come soon to try their brunches!
Took my Husband here for his 40th Birthday and we had an incredible experience. We spent over three hours here, enjoying the tasting menu, one vegan and one standard, and all the dishes tasted exquisite. Everything was beautifully presented and the timing for the tasting menu was perfect.
The setting and design of the restaurant is beautiful. The staff were all so friendly and attentive.
My only slight disappointment was when I had first booked the restaurant (three weeks prior) the tasting menu was £145 per person, but changed to £160 a few days prior. Plus with the 15% service charge, that increase ended up costing me quite a bit more than initially anticipated, despite me booking at the lower price. I did enquire about this via email but no one replied to me.
A lovely high-end restaurant just off of Green Park, with delicious and indulgent food. There is a tasting menu, but we opted to order from the à la carte instead as the options on the set menu didn’t really call out to us. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and the Sommelier recommended a couple of great wines to go with the meals. Yes, it was expensive (over £400 total) but worth splashing out for to celebrate a special occasion.
HIDE earned perfect marks from me, something that rarely happens. It comes at a steep price, as you would expect given the level of service.
We saw both casual or formal diners when we visited. Our servers adapted to our preferred level of formality (informal) and had time to talk with us about the food and drinks. Everyone was kind, especially the hostess when we called enroute to say we'd be late.
The venue is gorgeous. I loved the stairs, especially the banister that felt like a tree growing in an upward spiral.
The food was very good and all dishes were executed perfectly. We were surprised by the size of the upcharge for switching a cocktail to Elijah Woods bourbon, given our familiarity with the retail price points of the spirits they offered - but in the end there was no reason to switch as their default choices were perfectly balanced. My mackerel starter and duck main were perfectly cooked, as were the fish dishes or table ordered. We all had the acorn cake and enjoyed it.
We had a beautiful meal here. From the moment we arrived the service had been impeccable. All the waiters and waitresses were friendly and attentive, some were very funny!
We went for the tasting menu so we got to try most of their signature dishes.
We started off with a basket of lovely breads (from myself who bake breads, I got some good ideas of flavours that I can add to my sourdough bread).
The egg (broth - slow cooked for 2.5 hrs!) was mind-blowingly delicious! The smoky flavour of the mushrooms just exploded in my mouth upon first mouth full. Wow!
The steamed John dory was tender though not my favourite dish. I guess I'd prefer it cooked in another way so there's 0 fishy taste.
5* for the lamb though. It was incredibly succulent! Loved the beetroot sauce that gave the lamb a more complex flavour.
The melon sorbet tasted good but it wasn't outstanding as a dessert. The block of ice that it was served on top of was eye-catching, beautiful to look at.
Again, the dessert - profiteroles - were good but nothing too special. They were also on the sweet side.
If I come back next time, I'd be tempted to try their a la carte menu instead.
WOW! We had an amazing experience. From the service to the food every aspect was thought of. Highly recommend trying their set lunch menu. They accommodate dietary restrictions which was so nice; the cherry on top is their meat is Halal. Thank you for a wonderful lunch date.
Overall, It was a really nice experience.
Food was beyond the standard, everything was spot on. Also, the service and atmosphere were outstanding!!!!! I was totally impressed by the hospitality and the passion from waiters/waitresses. Great job, people!!!!!
I will definitely visit once again someday, see you later:)))
This place never disappoints! Besides the beautiful staircase that you can’t take your eye’s off they have amazing food and super friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had Eggs Benedict with salmon and French toast. Eggs Benedict wins the prettiest plate but French toast is the best I ever had and will have for sure! Will come back here time and time again!
Applause to chefs!
It was my wedding anniversary lunch and the restaurant made our day special.
The food was very impressive. All individual elements in a plate were harmonised perfectly, and I could see how much the chefs made efforts. All dishes were surprisingly creative, which I had never tasted before. It was worth to every penny.
The service was fine in general. However, we were waiting for a while to wait for a sommelier - he didn't give an attention to our table enough, but he was kind and had a good manner. Moreover, there was one waitor we wish he could make us more comfortable to order our dishes. He seemed very serious and not to listen to us carefully. For example, my husband kept saying all nuts were fine with his dietary but only coconut or peanuts several times, but he kept warning us there were nuts in some dishes.
They also missed our message 'anniversary lunch' so that they forgot to provide some special treats with us, but a table next to us had special treats - that was why we realised they missed that to our table.
The interior and especially the stairs were beautiful, and the view was extraordinary. One thing I mind was it was quite noisy like casual dining places. It could interrupt customers who want to enjoy a Michelin star dinner.
Once again, thanks for making my day special and a remarkable memory for me.
Hide has been an iconic establishment in the London food scene for a few years now and has a Michelin star. I have been here for breakfast and meals for a few times and the place never fails and has always had an amazing service and food. It’s got a great wine and champagne selection to suit all wallets. My only suggestion is that the menu is same for so long that I have been through the entire menu over the last few visits. It needs some refreshing and new features.
Breakfast is still amazing and has the best croissants and coffees in town.
Verdict is 5/5
Budget meal for two is easily £200 with couple of glasses of simple basic wines. Of course goes up with cocktails and bottles of wine.
Food was fantastic, interesting combination of ingredients and flavours.
Service was not so good: few waiters around, They brought the appetizer and the main course at the same time, then mentioned that if he took back the main course it would come back cold...
The sommelier was great !!!
Went for lunch for two, was not disappointed at all! The food and service were absolutely incredible. I do not have words to describe how it all came together exceptionally - delicious and well balanced. Will definitely come here again. Thank you for the incredibly attentive service and superb food.
Great food and top-notch service - it is a place that is primarily for those who work in the area (think business lunches). I had the lunch set menu which was £54 for 3 courses with generally lighter portion sizes. However, the food was great and the service was extremely good. Plenty of vegetarian options, and there is a separate vegetarian à la carte menu on request. The interior of the restaurant is very stylish.
Had breakfast here. The service was impeccable, so upperclass. The manager took us on a tour of the restaurant to give a history of the chef, the restaurant and the architecture, and the impressive wine cellar. Food was delicious and delicate. Enjoyed all the food, especially the French toast. Was on a short trip to the UK, so I didn’t get a chance to try dinner. However I shall be visiting on my next trip, especially to try dinner in one of the private rooms.
