My family and I came here pretty late at night from the airport after just arriving in London. I liked the fish and chips here, and it immediately struck me that this is the kind of fish and chips that my English teacher (who is a proud Brit) would deem worthy of eating. The staff was also super kind and cheery, I remembered asking for normal temperature water as it was winter and he said that London was particularly cold that day that the water from the fridge would be less cold that the one outside of the fridge. I really do hope to come back whenever I visit London again.
Tried fish and chips for the first time in this restaurant and loved it. A simple restaurant with good food and staff. The fish was really good.
My first fish&chips restaurant in England. Fresh, crispy outside but soft and juicy inside, delicious plate of fish. I got small portion of cod but even that one was huge. I didn't finish the whole plate. Really easy to find, small but clean restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful. Little bit pricey maybe, but you should definitely try.

Pretty good service, was here late during their street festival and the empty bottles lining the streets were the only problem getting through the entrance, good choice if reasonably priced and good quality wines as well as a great super chilled fridge to service diners upstairs was great.
Lovely throwback to retro London chippies. Excellent quality fish, perfectly battered portions and excellently thick chips.
Having been craving a fish supper all week, I went for the regular cod platter which comes with chips and tartar sauce. The fish batter was crisped to perfection with succulent, fall-apart filet inside. The chips tasted like proper chip shop fare but with the added freshness of being fried in clean oil. Tartar sauce was decent but the consistency was more like mousse rather than sauce. I would have liked to see chunkier bits in the sauce too like gherkin or caper.
We visited on a Tuesday evening and it was almost deserted in the eat-in section upstairs. But with good food and fast service I'll be going back quite regularly.
Love it! Been there twice, the fish is really soft and tasty.
A little expensive to eat in.
Servers could be a little more nice.
Never the less it is one of the best fish and chips of London.

I actually first walked past this restaurant a couple of years ago, but due to is location on a very commercial touristy street never thought it would be good.
In hindsight that was a mistake. This is hands down one of the best fish places in London. It's spread over two floors with a small mezzanine level in between.
The upper two floors are small and have proper sit down tables. They have proper table service with the food being served on plates. It's slightly more expensive up here but all the fish one orders automatically comes with a portion of chips unlike in the take away downstairs.
The ground floor is a take away with a few stools to sit down. The good there is self service and comes in fast food style boxes. But the food is anything But take away. Everything you order is actually made to order. So this is not your quick in and out chippy. You have to keep 5-10 minutes on hand. The other point is the fish always tastes fresh. Also the fish can be grilled if you so desire rather than battered. They also have a choice of fish in case one likes different fish or chooses to avoid certain types of fish due to ethical/overfishing reasons.

And the staff is superb. The best staff we found in all London. Thanks to the Cyprus/ Turkish guy working there that was really nice and enthusiastic.
By far some of the best fish and chips I've ever had the fish is beautiful and the batter delicious not over done in anyway. I had the cod bites which were a dream so fluffy and the chunky chips were Devine soft on the inside crispy on the outside.
This is my first time in London and my friend and I were walking around Pembridge Rd and saw this cute Fish & Chips restaurant. I’ve been here 2 days and haven’t had fish and chips yet. This restaurant had amazing options and we chose the regular cod and chips. Delicious! I didn’t imagine the peas would be smashed, the fries were huge as well as the cod. It definitely filled us up. The waitress Laurene was really kind towards us and attentive. I would def recommend this place to my friends that come to visit.
Atmosphere is dire here haha but you may as well laugh about it when you are eating. They should have some music playing in the background or something. The food is incredible though - I would never choose to get fish and chips in London but this was actually banging as well as the frickles. Loved it all.
The food is decent, and the food environment is good. We ordered and enjoyed the large cod and onion rings. Beef pie’s filling was good but not its crust. We are glad to be served by Radhika who I think made this meal most enjoyable.
Stopped by the Fish house after we ate dinner today, to look at the menu to determine if we wanted to go back there for fish and chips the following night. We were greeted very warmly by a darling, young woman, name, Maria, who you could tell, was very proud of where she worked and the quality of food they offered. She went over the menu with us and showed us the dining area. To help us make up our mind, she gave us a taste of their famous fried Cod and I have to tell you that it was delicious… No heavy batter and no grease dripping from the fish. It was really just perfect They are very proud that their fish is fresh. It’s a very casual atmosphere, but the delicious food and the wonderfully attentive and helpful staff will make your experience there one you won’t soon forget.
It is most delicious fish and chips I have ever eaten. Thank you for warm welcome and delicious food. Especially Vandana was so nice!! I recommend totally and when I come here at Noting hill, I will definitely enjoy fish and chip again.
I have had better fish and chips, they can inprove on chips especially the batter needs to be crispy all around and some soggy spots on it, small cozy place.

Very delicious food and the best service from Kiran. Would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Fish and Chips experience. Vandana and Metush showed a lot of heart and great banter during our time at the restaurant too.
The BEST fish and chips!! I ordered the fish bites and it was crispy and oh so good! Vandana was so sweet, friendly, and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend it for it's great food and service!

It was great experience,we got amazing service from Vandana, she was very smiley and very helpful and the fish & chips way definitelly the chrispiest i ever tried in London. My mum's wish was to have fish & chips as a lunch for her birthday and i'm sure we couldn't find better place than this. Thanks a lot!

My first day in the UK, I decided that I should try the traditional fish and chips. The fish house was just a 10 minute walk from my hotel so I decided to give it a try.
I am glad I did. Definitely a top notch fish and chips place. I tried their Large portion and had a hard time finishing it. Next time, I will go with their regular serving, which is actually very generous.
It went well with an affordable bottle of white wine.

We wanted Fish and Chips while in London. The Fish House was within walking distance from our hotel. We loved the fish and chips, and Vandana and Kiran made us feel at home, bringing us ketchup for our chips and making sure we enjoyed our meal. I definitely recommend The Fish House.

Great little shop nice people. Haddock was hot, crispy and big. Only issue was malt vinegar - it was like brown water. I would come back, but would bring my own bottle of malt vinegar.
I had delicious fish & chips at the Fish House in Notting Hill served by Jermaine. The crust of the fish was crunchy and just perfect. Coffee or tea and bread served along with it as a value meal option. Swift and friendly service. I can recommend it. Good quality and fair price.
