Finally, I found a new fav restaurant at the moment that serves seafood/fish. Bentley's location, vibes, ambience, and staff are all perfect. Bentley's is beside some famous chains like gaucho and veeraswamy. It is recommended to go there in a sunny day and have a seat outdoors. ITS PERFECT! The food , on the other hand, was outstanding. The fried calamari was delicious and goldenly fried. The prawns were so delicious because of this buttery flavour. It keeps you wanting more and more. We also opted for monk fish which was so tasty and tender but a bit chewy. I mean it's monk fish we are talking about. It was so tasty though . The Seabass was grilled perfectly. Bently's is all about the sauce they put in their dishes. They can make something ordinary turn into a masterpiece. We also ordered the crab cakes which were mouthwatering. For desserts, we ordered the crime brûlée, affogato and chocolate mousse which all were instagram-worthy pictures. THEY WERE TO DIE FOR.
although i was very drunk by the time the food came, it was so delicious! lighting is very important for me in restaurants, so if you're like i would recommend this place. great wine selection, the fish was fresh and cooked to perfection.
Birthday meal - not so speacial. Went here for my boyfriends birthday as he loves seafood etc. Plus I am a massive fan of Richard Corrigan so it seemed like a good choice. I told them it was a birthday celebration when I made the reservation over the phone - I asked for a nice quiet table. What we found when we arrived was that we were allocated a table in the hallway that leads to the upstairs restaurant. From then on things went downhill. The fire alarm was going off constantly the whole evening. I am a vegetarian so they found it hard to cater for me but in the end did well. There was a dish on the specials board that was a "for two" dish. Our waiter had promised by partner that they could do it for one (as I was vego). He then came back to the table and said the chef would not do it! We we clearly disappointed so the chef made an exception and did a serve of the bouillabaisse for one. There didn't seem to be much communication between wait staff and the kitchen. You can't promise something before you have asked. Anyway, we ate our meal and were satisfied. We were offered a free glass of wine and cocktails because of the annoyance of the fire alarm all evening. We told the restaurant manager of our troubles and the issues we had and by the following morning we had a very nice email inviting us back for dinner with a complimentary bottle of champagne. Overall the experience was not perfect and because it was for a special occasion it upset us. On the plus though the manager was very sincere and really wanted to fix the issue and make sure that we would return for a better experience - including better table, service etc. We will go back and see how it goes!
Just attended monthly sunday oyster n beef. To die for n superb. Yet to be disappointed in over 5 Years of comng here.
Food was excellent. Service was equally good. They were attentive and helpful and helped select dishes. My second visit and will return. Highly recommended.
Wonderful dinner with excellent, attentive service. Oyster and a lobster macoroni starter, followed by steamed seabass and a fish pie main all washed down with a light but crispy sancerre. Unhurried and friendly atmosphere.
Variable but wonderful at its best. We visited twice in one week and had vongole on both occasions. The first was superb but the second pretty disappointing. We're hoping the second visit was an aberration and we will come again. Great wine and oyster selection in an impressive setting.
Being the seafood freak that I am, it was heavenly! The Lobster Bisque in particular had me in utter rapture.
The relaxed atmosphere of the bar and banquettes lends itself perfectly to the not-so-delicate gustatory pleasure of eating oysters,
Bentley's, situated between Piccadilly and Regent Street before the latter arches north is a landmark London restaurant having first opened its doors back in 1916. Richard Corrigan became head chef there during the nineties and when the restaurant came up for sale in 2005, Richard took on not only the restaurant but a restoration also. The result is a restaurant that maintains the tradition but with a contemporary luxury finish. Situated over three floors in a Victorian building, Bentley's offers The Oyster Bar on the ground floor and a fine dining option, The Grill, upstairs. Private dining is also available. Two things won us over to Bentley's before we even arrived: first, The Oyster Bar is open all day, and second, the menu there is much more extensive than you might expect for an oyster bar giving a very extensive range of through the day dining. It is given its heritage 'old school' inside with dark wood panels on the wall, old Bentley's fish prints and, possibly initially intimi
Feeling like Charlie on the way to the Chocolate Factory, on Monday evening I had in my clutches a much coveted golden ticket to the fabulous Dine with Dos Hermanos event at Bentley's . I skipped merrily along the streets of Mayfair, eagerly anticipating
Having the chance to attend a Dine with Dos Hermanos dinner is an experience in itself. With more than 300 people on the waiting list, the quest for the golden ticket requires an efficient alarm-clock and a reliable Internet connection. Once past the ult
Bentley’s first opened its doors in 1916 and our visit was filled with the same timeless class and glamour that I’m sure the original visitors were treated to. The restaurant was restored to something of its former glory around 4 years ago by former Great

Amazing food and amazing service! We were late getting to the restaurant as my friend had her wallet stolen. The restaurant was so kind and said we could get there later. The service was brilliant. The food was spectacular and the fish pie is huge! Be prepared you may not need sides. We couldn't eat it all as we were so full! Everything is delicious and you can tell why it is the best fish pie in London! Service was brilliant and they made our birthday feel so special. It's just a shame we had a long and stressful day, as we were just so tired, but our server was so kind to us.
Superb in a word. I have been a few times and each time the service has been second to none. We love oysters so the knowledge shared by the oyster lead is always of interest. There is a wonderful selection of native and rock to suit your palate. I have to recommend the Scottish Lowland natives on this visit in particular
It was my birthday - our party of 3 each had a complimentary glass of house champagne which was a surprise and we subsequently ordered a bottle of vintage ourselves given the occasion.
Agree with a previous reviewer - the portions are generous, once you have worked your way through their lovely bread/irish butter and oyster plus starter - you will be hard pushed to eat the sides with your mains! We had the fabulous sherry foie gras - the sauterne jelly is second to none and compliments the buttery smooth foie gras to a T. The lobster mains were tasty, generous and beautifully seasoned. I had turbot which was so decadent and delicious - wonderfully cooked with smooth mash and silky langoustine jus which complimented the fish to perfection.
A word about the service - just fantastic - they definitely look after you from the minute you arrive to when you leave - it's 100% 5 star - they definitely 'know' their customers.
In short, I urge you to try it - there are different seating areas to suit your style - outside on the terrace, inside the more formal 'grill' area at lunch and then the more 'funky' oyster bar area which is my preference.
Thank you to all the staff who made my birthday lunch so special.
This venue is so stunning and amazing and I couldn't have imagined a better venue to host my special day! It's nice and cozy, just enough space to hold a very intimate wedding and the food is gorgeous! It is on the pricier side but it was well-worth every penny! Credits to Fiona, Alex, and the team, you guys are amazing! Will definitely recommend to everyone x
My friend and I went to Bentley’s this Saturday morning for their oyster masterclass and let me tell you, it was outstanding. For the reasonable price we paid, we received twice over the value. Not only were the oysters fresh and delicious, each one unique and fun, but the staff was outstanding. They were friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and generous with their time, attention and wine pours. Would absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a fun and tasty way to start off your Saturday. Thank you Luigi and Greby for a fantastic experience!
We came to Bentley’s on our last night in London to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday. Everything was perfection without pretentiousness! Service was on point from the moment we were met at the door by a lovely greeter. The Sommelier made a phenomenal wine recommendation and the servers paced our meal perfectly. Not to mention, best oysters ever and the food was the best we had in London and we’ve been to some top 10 restaurants. Recommend highly!!!
This was my second visit , after a rather disappointing one 5 years ago, I was not disappointed this time . The food was very nice , the oysters were probably the best I ever had in London. The service is much improved . The overall experience was very nice.
My only reservation was : why would a place like this
need to add a “cover charge” in addition to the customary service charge ?
My husband and I had an amazing date here during our quick trip to London. The food was very delicious. I really enjoyed the garlic baked oysters and the fish & chips. I’ve had plenty of fish & chips from plenty of restaurants but this by far was the best one I’ve ever had. The flavor was on point, it was seasoned well, and the crisp was the best part. The portions are pretty size-able, so expect to take some home with you lol. The ambiance was really nice (very quaint with old charm, tucked away from the busy streets) and the staff was very friendly and informative (especially when explaining all the oyster varieties). I would definitely come back again.
The best place I've ever eaten! Very high quality food, excellent service and high class historic venue. I will definitely be back!
Just ran into this place while walking around, didn't expect it to be a fine dining place. Was pleasant surprised by the food quality and service. I was alone so did not get to savour most of its best stuff, but the oysters and fish & chips are to die for. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely brunch here. Very fresh food and lovely service. We got to royal seafood platter. It was delicious as was the smoked salmon and the hand cut chips.
