Excellent way to start your day with the most delicious platters . Very filling , delicious, freshly made and served at reasonable prices, optimal hygienic conditions and with the help of a really nice and friendly staff
This place is what we call, the cozy and fancy corner. I ordered Scramble eggs, an eclair cup-cake, creme-du-berry soup and i was impressed witht he taste they offers.
While in London, you must give this place a try!
A very traditional place, good for a classic experience. Ambience and aesthetics are impressive, staff is amazing and food is exactly how it should be. Some may feel it is a little on the expensive side but you're paying for an experience rather than just a quick takeaway. Definitely recommend you go here on occasions or on dates.
Their eggs benedict is something to bet money on. The hollandaise sauce is pure perfection.
There are not many restaurants who can rival their food, at least not at this price point.
Amazing place in London. I love the food. can’t wait to come back here again. Congratulations to the staff.
Fancy place & fancy presentation. It’s a bit crowded and of course there will be queue... Try pancakes and mashed avocado on foccacia.
Fantastic place for high tea... Ambience is great, High tea delicious and the service excellent!
Very busy so book early to secure your reservation
When in London, you should manage to have the British tea experience and The Wolseley is a perfect place to enjoy your high tea. Lovely ambience, great tea and snacks, topped with excellent services. It's just fantastic. Reservation is recommended as this place is almost always full.
The wolseley Kl Main apne Dosto k saath gya tha.... Humne yaha Bahut enjoy kiya. .yaha ka Khaana Bahut tasty tha. Aap yaha p Bahut Tarah k food item try kar sakte h
This restrarent is best for casual dining and menu
Is too good , environment is very nice ,staff is well managed services are very good, etc
Good eggs Benedict, but by far not the best breakfast in london. Was extremely excited to try it and the food was good just not the best breakfast in london
I love having breakfast in this place! The atmosphere and the architecture takes me back in time. The menu offers good choices of true English breakfast and very good ones. The drinks are good also. Must try when in London...
The food, wine and service were all very good. The sandwiches and Scone tower was very impressive and delicious. The lemon Curd and preserves were very delicious and fresh.
Served with a Sauvignon Blanc that was also a perfect, perfect pairing and not at all the most expensive option. We then had a cheeseboard which was really really good!
The food was excellent and very tasty..
On that day I had that cravings for the sea food and the dessert's, so I searched this on google and found The Wolseley, a place known for its tasty food and beautiful architecture...
I ordered salmon, fresh crab, oyster and chicken with some dessert's...
The sea food was appetizing and taste's good with a perfect French wine..
The berries pancakes were yummy too...
This is my favorite restaurant in London for now for perfect sea food
If you are looking for something to eat, you should try this restaurant.
Delicious Afternoon Tea in a beautiful and lovely setting in the heart of Mayfair.
The decor and atmosphere are great, as well as the quality of the food (especially the delicious scones and pastries).
One of the top places for afternoon tea in London!
It's my one of my special mention in Mayfair London I really loved there hot chocolate .it's so hot .place is crowded . ambiance excellent and staff service is very good.
I had one of the best experiences ever at The Wolseley! We had both lunch and afternoon tea, and I must say that they were exquisite. The food was amazing, the tea and dessert were great, and the staff is extremely professional and friendly.
Thank you so much for such a great experience!
Typical french breakfast, not many options for breakfast. The place is amazing, I enjoyed my time. Waiters were a bit too busy, but it was ok. Would recommend it to a friend, but will not visit again
Overall the place is lovely, however I expected more from the menu/ selection of food and the taste. Tasted average, but had a nice brunch with family.
We had a great time, I really appreciated that they always have tables for walk-ins if you can’t get a pre-booking. Service was a tad slow, but the service it self was great when they were there. Highly recommend the Schnitzel and for the dessert the hazelnut, pistachio ice cream with the salted caramel sauce is incredible.
Nice place for breakfast. Service team very helpful. Nice classic ambiance. We had scrambled eggs with Avocado and Mushroom, poached eggs with Avocado and Mushroom, French toast and pancakes
Although our in-person booking wasn’t showing up when we arrived, a table was soon set up.
Busy atmosphere, glamorous decor in an historical building. Excellent pre-theatre menu and attentive staff. Loved the Swiss soufflé and the lobster. Other diners were enjoying the high tea, which looked wonderful.
Visited here on Mother's day with the family. Exceptionally beautiful seating area and top service. All the dishes were great - especially enjoyed the avocado, courgette & superfoods salad. The dressing was delicious and added that much more to a simple dish. Prices are quite high - but nothing crazy for London pricing. Will definitely visit again to try their breakfast / desserts.
Highly recommended, especially for a simple lunch :)
I like the history of the building. It was guest a car showroom, then Barclays took over. Later on a Chinese restaurant opened. However, it didn't stay running for so long. You can see traces of all three places when dinning there (Chinese doors, Barclays clock & the showrooms chandeliers and marble floor).
Went for a breakfast. You definitely need a reservation. Took full English one. Was brilliant. Smooth service. Posh decor. You would not believe the place has been there for slight more than 10 years. Looks like it is from 19th century. Very recommended.
Amazing ambiance great service but the best of them all were the desserts. Can't say anything about the food just been there for dessert. But I can say that I would go there and eat dessert as a meal.
And if a had three words to sum up my comments it would be: Baked. Vanilla. Cheesecake. It was the best cheesecake i had. Definitely worth going there just for that cheesecake.
The only cake I didn't like was the black forest gateau. It wasn't bad but it had nothing special in my opinion. And the chocolate tart was extremely dense. I wasn't able to finish it. Everything else were great but again I highly recommend the cheesecake.
Great Food... really worth going there,, Highly recommend the Resturant to all my friend visiting London,,, don't miss the dessert, and the perfect English ambience, with the Victorian chandeliers is a must experience place
I Love the first impression from the interior with high ceiling, beautiful chandelier, and off course the staff welcoming us while we didn't reserve a table. I tried the welsh rarebit (ok), egg arlington (could be better and fresh), and eclair (perfect). For sure I will be back for an afternoon tea degustation
The Wolseley is a beautiful dining space with high ceilings and decor that reminds me a lot of many New York dining halls. It's open late and all day and is hard to beat for a late dinner.
Chopped liver (7/10) - The chopped liver here is generously portioned. The presentation of the dish is as bare bones as you'll ever see. Some would find fault here, but the liver is tasty and I can understand the whole putting lipstick on a pig argument. It is after all, chopped liver.
Matjes Herrings with pumpernicekl (6/10) - The herrings are of good quality as is the bread. Again a very bare bones starter in all respects, but flavors that I think work quite well.
Holstein schnitzel (7/10) - Expertly fried schnitzel. The bread crumb and the veal are one throughout your journey of this generously portioned schnitzel. On the side, mustard and anchovies to add salt and spice.
Choucroute à l’Alsacienne (7/10) Absolutely massive portion of various meat products piled onto a pool of sauerkraut. I'd have to say the sausage was my favorite.
If you're after a simple meal, this place does simple well. The staff is attentive and friendly, the food is consistently good and priced at a point where I wouldn't consider it good value, but at the same time not unreasonable by any means.
This is a lovely restaurant set in an old car showroom. I know it doesn't sound too glamorous till you get down there yourself and feel the old Victorian magic of London with there out of the world amazing tea and lots to eat. High ceiling with hanging chandelier and black and white tiled floor gave it a very royal feel.
A menu to die for and amazing collection of fine wines and tea. Excellent place for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea.
Afternoon tea is jaw dropping and a collective 'Oooooh' when they bring out the tower of sandwiches, cakes, scones, cheese cakes, chocolate cake, eclairs and the list goes on .......😍😍😍😍
We had a wonderful afternoon champagne tea and delicious bites.
Avocado Croustade is a must try here which is unique and really delicious, mashed avocado on a crispy millefeuille-like base. Ebb Benedict and pancakes were amazing with fresh fruits.
Hot chocolate was good too!
The atmosphere was buzzed and the service was exceptional.
A must try place in London to experience the very traditional English afternoon tea which is so royal in experience and taste ❤️.
This is really a nice place, a great space with good ambiance.
In what concerns food and service, I must confess that I would expect more.
It seems a French brasserie, talking about food options, but my lobster and the Swiss soufflé were only enough.
May be a new visit make me change my opinion.
I think this place is a must for breakfast ,the setting the food is something to enjoy
Loved the avocado mash :)
Its always on my breakfast list when im in london
Went there without a reservation on a Sunday morning and loved that they have A no reservation area! Such a charming restaurant with lots of lovely interiors. The staff is so friendly and the food is amazing.
MUST TRY THE DOUGHNUTS!!!
Amazing place for a late brunch on a holiday. This place has a taste of the historic London and takes you back in the Victorian era a place and menu set for a queen to indulge in the finest food in London in the finest location of London Mayfair.
A lovely establishment just close to the Ritz, full of old world charm, we were greeted by two gentlemen after entering and shown immediately to our table. The menu for breakfast is charming. We had the fish cakes and poached eggs which were really good. The fish cakes were really tasty ! I had the deviled kidneys with crispy bacon oh yes they hit the spot. A little spicy well cooked and just the right amount of sauce. I would highly recommend you to have a breakfast here with some of the finer London folk LOL
Grand place, great food. The traditional stuff's the best: omelette Arnold Bennett, eggs benedict with salmon or with fish cake, pancakes & hot chocolate Gourmand (you mix the choc, milk & sugar yourself)
It's a grande cafe alright! The dining room just exudes black and white elegance. Caught up with a friend over brunch and a basket of pastries, arnold bennett omelette and the wolseley fishcake with egg benedict.
Pastries were nice but not impressive. I did like that it was such a nice assortment of baked goods. My favourite was the arnold bennett omelette. It was rich, creamy and comforting with generous chunks of fish and sharp parmesan.
One of the more famous dishes here is the wolseley fishcake which is a breaded smoked haddock fishcake with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Whilst it tasted nice, I thought the fishcake was a little dry.
A beautiful restaurant in a bustling city!
It was very nice food l've ever been before. Food was perfect and service waa also nice. I ordered steak which is vey soft. I really enjoy that
Magnificent afternoon tea experience right in the heart of London.
The tea room is very spacious and resembles the traditional tea rooms.
Even though the price might seem a bit high, at about 30€ per person, the Wolseley tea menu is absolutely worth it, as it combines delicious and fresh finger sandwiches, tradicional french pastries and one of the best scones I've ever tried.
However, due to its popularity, I recommend booking before arrival, as it might be too crowded.
The former car showroom boasts a black and white vaulted decor in which to dine. The rooms on the balconies ovelook the main dining room. Sunlight is so strong, it overshadows the lights of the medieval looking ring chandeliers. The waiters are dressed in vests to go with the china and silverware. I had chicken soup with a meat sandwich. The mix was intersting. The blend of meat with the cucumber relish is just amazing. The soup was clear and you can see all the ingredients, but what you don't expect is the taste and crunch of the vegetables. The salad nicoise was fresh and light. The Apfel Strudel for dessert is a must. The apple is tart and blends perfectly with the creme chantilly.

Summary: Traditional European cafe in Mayfair that is bound to impress. Great for a bit of celebrity spotting. I like to to think I know the London restaurant scene pretty well. I make a conscious effort to try them all – the trendy new restaurants that seems to pop up regularly around town as well as those old London institutions that have been here long before I was. That being said, it still baffles me how I have never been to The Wolseley.
There are days and there are days…..On this particular day, recently, I was not exactly fizzing with life, in fact I was positively Mrs. Hot and Bothered from Barnes. In a big way. Sometimes, it’s just the little things that get you, isn’t that true? There’s a small shop in a side street in East Sheen which sells unusual bathroom accessories and other interesting bits and pieces, door knobs, number signs, door furniture, that sort of thing, where over years I have spent quite a lot of money in my capacity as property developer and interior designer. Three years ago, prior to moving to Azerbaijan as an expat, I had somehow managed to accrue a credit note for the not exactly princely sum of £14.99 which had no date limit and, as I believed, came attached with plenty of goodwill towards me as a good customer. Now, back in Blighty, I needed to replace one cupboard knob for the grand old price of £4.99. They had it, I bought it and handed over said credit note. Oh my word, the bad grace in which this was eventually accepted after several visits to the shop and some heavy negotiation on my part, was quite something. I was very rudely snapped at by the grumpy bulldog like owner and forced to exchange all my credit’s worth at once because, apparently, she could not do business with someone like me. Off I trotted with two spare cupboard knobs I didn’t need, thunder in my heart, contemplating the shortsightedness of this business owner and totting up the completely negligible interest that may have accrued over three years, I was that cross! Needless to say, next time I’ll take my custom somewhere else!
I had been to The Wolseley for lunch, dinner and even breakfast but I had guests in town and decided to take them to high tea as it is a more affordable option in London compared to most hotel afternoon teas priced over £50. The scones were delicious and the pastries were good. It won't blow you away like High Tea at Claridges but still a lovely experience.
This restaurant is situated near the ritz in Mayfair and is as glitzy and busy as its posh companion! It has a large downstairs area and mezzanine sections. The menu is European with a French influence and has a large choice of meat and fish. Unfortunately we had some problems with our service and meals not arriving as ordered but the manager dealt with the issues well and discounted the bill accordingly. He then checked back to see if everything was ok. Lovely restaurant with good ambience.
Looking for a high end 'brasserie' in London? The Wolseley is the place to be! In the heart of London, the place is fully booked every night (no need to stop by if haven't called earlier), visited by real old londonners, couples in love, and tourists from the Ritz next door. As starters, the scampis are great, when the escargots are divine. The soles we had for main were amazing as well, with 4 portions of fish per person, who said quality or quantity? To make sure we were not able to walk anymore but roll our belly down the road, we ended with the creme brûlée, don't hesitate to share that one, as it is again not a small portion, but so good. And if the nice food wasn't enough, the staff are also really nice, no matter how busy it is, always polite and often funny. Even if you are not able to make it for diner, come by for a Tea time, the venue alone worth it!
The Better Half (TBH) and I have been wanting to go to The Wolseley for breakfast for as long as it’s been open but as early starts on weekends aren’t usually our thing, we just never got round to it. He was feeling a little nostalgic recently and had a real hankering for kippers for breakfast….it was something his Scottish father always ate. I found this a little odd as 1) he isn’t really that keen on fish and 2) he’s even less keen on bony fish! But hey, who am I to argue? I did a bit of a research and to my delight found that The Wolseley serve kippers. Result! He can get his fix of nostalgia and I can finally tick this one off my bucket list.
A lot of people asked us if we were going to enjoy afternoon tea while we were in London. We really wanted to, but we weren't sure if we'd have time. When I found this site, I was overwhelmed by the number of afternoon tea options. Then I looked up the best places for afternoon tea (The Ritz, Claridge's, Brown's Hotel, The Dorchester, The Goring, The Savoy) and I was astounded by what the best afternoon teas cost (40~55 GBP per person, or $60~$85 per person). I started to think maybe we'd just skip it.
The decor of the place is grand but yes it is a bit noisy because they're always fully booked so make sure you book a table. The food was quite a big portion and very tasty. I had the roast chicken with some side dishes. My friend had their chicken soup which is the best soup that I had in years! The broth was clear and packed with flavour. Oh I also had their Appel strudel which was super yummy...
I was in London for a short holiday with my husband and decided to try The Wolseley. Best decision ever. The atmosphere in really calm yet not dull. Impeccable service from the staff. Although, the food and drinks are on the pricey end, because of our pound: south african rand exchange rate, it really is all worth it. Can't wait to go back!😊😋
Whilst grand and one of the must-tries of London, it is totally free of pretence or stuffiness. The atmosphere is light-hearted and buzzing, with the restaurant full of people up for an ultimate London experience.
Tables are packed in cosily, adding to the 'buzz' of the restaurant. Waiters are friendly and aren't afraid of having a jolly with their customers, whilst never slacking on service or professionalism.
The Wolseley is particularly good for steak and seafood, although it is not too pompous to serve the usual favourites such as hamburgers, Kedgeree or navarin of lamb.
For a fun finish, try an ice cream coupe; perfect for sharing, and exploring an exciting combination of flavours. The Lucian is luscious; pistachio, hazelnut and nougat ice cream are drizzled with whipped cream and a butterscotch sauce, providing a nutty, soft sweetness to the end of your meal.
Whilst certainly not cheap, it is worth a visit to try accessible meals done in fanciful ways within a warm, buzzing ambience.
Excellent cream tea and very decent tea selection.
It can get bit noisy but still the location is worth a visit if you live in London or just visiting.

The Wolseley has only been open since 2003, but has steadily become an institution on the London dining scene. I’ve wanted to go for years and have heard many friends raving about dinners and brunches. I finally went for Afternoon Tea with a friend recently and thankfully was as good as I hoped.
The Wolseley is an all-day Grand European café-restaurant found next to the Ritz Hotel in Piccadilly, London. Created by Chris Corbin and Jeremy King who were behind the renewed fame and success of Le Caprice, The Ivy and J. Sheekey. In December 2011 they also opened The Delaunay on the corner of The Aldwych and Drury Lane, basically these guys know what they’re doing so I had no doubt my first experience at a Corbin and King eatery would be something special.
Her zaman populer, her zaman kalabalık. Tavsiye ederim.
There's something magical about this place. Maybe because it was originally built in 1921 as an exotic car dealership for the wealthy. And then became a Barclay's bank in 1927. And then finally The Woseley in 2003.
Of the 3 times I've been here for brunch, it's always left me a very content feeling. The food and service has always been the upmost quality and the service is impeccable. No complaints in either dept.
I don't even find the prices exorbitant for London standards...just don't do the conversion.
This place is highly recommended if you really want to dine the London way.
I love this place the atmosphere is fantastic there's always a buzz and the service is always the best. I love that they serve up everything in silverware and China, and all the cakes are on display for us to choose. I ordered the signature Wolseley Battenberg cake my friend ordered the chocolate, both extremely Moorish but not the best cakes I've ever had.
Afternoon tea at the Wolseley is slightly different - for not only do they serve (with some aplomb) the traditional high tea - sandwiches, scones, pastries - but also an extensive all-day savoury menu.
On this occasion, while my sister went for the Champagne tea, I plumped for a double London rarebit - a typical melted cheese rarebit on two large hunks of bread but with the addition of poached eggs, crispy bacon and small cherry tomatoes.
Honestly I can't fault it - a huge plateful for £11. To accompany it I chose fresh mint tea and a classic Negroni - I was feeling a little decadent!
Also at the table we had the ever-classic Omelette Arnold Bennett - perfectly eggy, cheesy and fishy!
I do like the Wolseley a lot, and recommend you all go.
However, I LOVE its sister restaurant, The Delaunay. They have very similar menus but the dining room at the Delaunay is just that much more relaxed.
Actually, my recommendation is that you do both.
They excel at breakfast and tea, but the all day menu and the full lunch and dinner a la cartes present fine food at very acceptable prices.
Absolute must-dos for the London foodie.
My husband and I ate here for lunch one day last week because Fodor's London 2015 guide rated it high and a cheap meal. We really enjoyed the meal but it was much more expensive than we thought it would be. For two of us at lunch we paid roughly £40.
Breakfast. Blueberry pancakes were perfection. Mango juice and coffee also great. The Xmas tree was still up which made the room even more impressive. Service was excellent.
Good Lunch. Ambience: busy/classy
Food: No fault found - venison perfectly cooked
Wine: Poor Chablis; Good Rioja
Service: mixed/poor
Value: bit too expensive
Overall 3/5

Good Setting. It's like walking back in time, walking through the doors at the Wolseley.
The food is good and the service very formal and attentive. Best time of day, 8am breakfast during the week. That's special and you feel like a Czar!
Think this is a real treat. Great food, service and always busy. Being from Texas this was an enjoyable evening in London
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Gothic deco. Great service. A yummy brekkie just about anytime of day. What more can you ask for? Sure, it's pricey, but it's London. You're going to spend money everywhere you go, so you might as well just ignore the bill and enjoy the meal.
Funny to say, but I love their coffee. Not sure what the blend is, but I can drink two pots of it. It's smooth, but keep me hoppin' all day in Central London.
My Tiffany's. Because being there just makes me happy. The food is not stellar, but the room and the whole atmosphere is. Glamorous, occasion-eating.
We stopped by after the theatre to be ridiculously decadent and have the world's most expensive cheese on toast and a bottle of smooth Chateau Tour malbec from Bergerac. Toast was fine, I had it a la buck rarebit so with a skillfully poached egg on top, and a sweet little green salad, well dressed, on the side. Blokey had their normal cheese plate which was OK and generous, but missing a soft cheese, I think, and the bread (no crackers!) was a bit, well, doughy.
But I love it. The lighting, the people watching, the fact we were the only non-Muscovites there...
On other occasions I have had and enjoyed the veal holstein, skate, smoked eel and oysters, all recommended.
Wonderful Experience. Came to the Wolseley for a Wednesday lunch with a friend. We dined in the salon, smaller than the main dining room and a bit more casual. It was fairly crowded around 12:30 that day.
My friend and I ordered steak frites which was delicious. The steak was tender and the frites were good as well. The butter they put on the steak was divine. I could have eaten it on anything. The bread they served at the beginning was just as good as was the salad that came with the steak frites.
The Wolsley also does a daily "special" which we saw many other diners enjoying. The steamed mussels also seemed to be popular.
The service at the Wolsely was very attentive and they refilled drinks in a timely manner. Dishes were cleared in good time and they checked in on us when appropriate.
The Wolseley is a great experience and a true London dining institution. Beautiful, elegant, and proper--it'll make your day. I'd recommend this place and will definitely be back.
Glamorous dining. Been here a few times although I think the best meals I have had are the breakfasts.
Had afternoon tea yesterday which was fine but nothing special. Scones were the best of the bunch - moist and light. Finger sandwiches were a little dry and unimaginative. Cakes were the right size (small) and ok.
I love the atmosphere here though and the decor - like a Chinese themed banking hall. Staff were very attentive and cheerful.
Probably wont do tea again but will go back for the breakfast definately.
Tea Time!. I always like the Wolseley for the understated yet elegant atmosphere, the quality of the straight forward cooking, but, it is afternoon tea time here that always makes me smile!
As good as ever. Was there last night. Standards are as high as ever. Delicious comfort food; elegant atmosphere and friendly, sophisticated service. A great night out.
Really my favourite breakfast in London.
Best breakfast in London!! Go early on a Sunday for best service.
Fabulous Service. I've eaten here a few times and always have a wonderful meal. One of my favourite things about it, however, was going there for breakfast one day and being told that I was more than welcome to wait for half an hour, or they would be happy to book a table for us at Cecconi's, a short walk away. That's what I call service!
Great Ambiance. Superb ambiance, excellent food and good service; what isn't there to like? Like an old friend, The Wolseley is worth visiting time and time again as it always feels comfortable and never ceases to be an enjoyable experience.
Wonderful food!. A very welcoming place amazing food great service all polished off with a serving of the odd celeb my favourite place to eat out and entertain book early!
Appropriately described as “a café-restaurant in the grand European tradition” with soaring ceilings and stellar staffing overseeing the meals of men and women in suits it was just moments after 8:00 that I arrived at the hostess stand and offered a
Part of the Rex Restaurant Group , it is difficult not to know about the Wolseley when you’re surrounded by London hype. Superb flagship of the group (other locations including the Delaunay, Beaumont Hotel and more recently Zédel ) and one of the most recognised locations in London, this self-styled café-restaurant inhabits the showroom of the 1920s car manufacturer Wolseley Motors .
Certainly enough, the Wolseley is incredibly fancy. It felt good passing through the throngs of peasants wanting to eat but with no reservation, being set to wait in line, like 2nd class citizens. Yes, eating at places likes this can give me a little bit of sense of entitlement (and excessive amounts of irony). And that’s a good thing! Sure, I have too much of it, but if I didn’t have any this place would really inspire me to try and climb the social ladder. We all went for the eggs: be they Benedict, Florentine or Arlington! Unfortunately for us, brunch seemed to end at 11:30 and we were there at 12:00 on a Sunday evening, so t

The Wolseley was on my to-dine-at list when I lived in London but I unfortunately never got there. However when back holidaying in London recently, I was determined not to miss out this time.
I’m thinking comfort, space, service and no music. My mind wanders to somewhere I expect to find all these things and it falls on the self-styled ‘ café-restaurant in the grand European tradition ‘ that is The Wolseley. I probably don’t need to tell you that the name “Wolseley” derives from the fact that this was built as a car showroom in 1921...
It ended up being a rather luxurious, surprisingly convenient and not overly costly experience.
Service, was friendly, we ended up having a nice chat with our waiter. The atmosphere was buzzy, and left us both feeling happy. The damage came to £15 a head for the two pots of tea, two courses a side and service. It still remains a favourite and I still feel theres no where quite like it in the city.
They feature traditional English food made in an EXCEPTIONAL manner. The building is beautifully art deco.
Service is good, clearly the staff are very busy which doesn't lend itself to a feeling of a relaxed dining experience but part of the enduring appeal of the Wolseley is its buzzy, classic cafe feel. This is somewhere that people come to see and be seen. Arguably they have gone a little bit commercial offering Wolseley branded oils and rather pricey pepper grinders for sale on their website but I suppose its not a crime.
What is it that defines a restaurant as a classic? And how often do you need to reconsider its place in the pantheon? A contemplative mood made me head back to two restaurants, both of which have featured among my favourite haunts over the years, with the only possible arbiters of London style and taste, two small middle aged Northern ladies.
"I didn't book anything; I thought that way we'd have more options" are crushing words if you hear them - as we did - standing, hungry and so very thirsty, on a street corner in Mayfair at 12:30 on a busy Saturday afternoon. We'd met-up with the idiot res
I had only been to The Wolseley once before today (read previous review here ), but it instantly became a top favourite of mine (and I only have four in London!). So when a fellow foodie friend from Tokyo arrived in London and wanted to go somewhere nice,
It must be the name. It does something to the wiring of my brain causing me to associate it with many adjectives including magnificence, opulence, esctasy, paradise, exorbitance, Sophie Dahl. It must be the attractive old-world quality it exudes, a qualit
I would keep coming back here daily if I could. This, I think, is my favorite all around restaurant in London. Fine, comfortable, elegant and classy interior, mature company, great food and variety o
Breakfast is a funny meal - how many times have we heard that it's the most important meal of the day yet, how many of us actually take the time to have a real one? Im guilty of not giving it the attention it deserves and so many times, either go without or survive on a meagre piece of toast or a biscuit or 2. What it does mean however is when I do make the time for it, I sure as hell make an effort to do it right and it takes a place like the Wolseley to really do the meal justice.
With its prestigious location right in the heart of Mayfair, the Wolsley has become somewhat of an institution since its opening in 2003, known for its fine food and splendid decor. Such is the grandness of it all, you'd be forgiven if your jaw should drop on stepping into the dining room.
But today, I'm here for breakfast so with that in mind, attention turned to the menu and its caviar omelette...for £65. Uh oh, I think I'm in trouble...but that initial shock is set aside as I eventually settled on an order of avocado, tomato and mushroom on rosti and a bacon & egg buttie with a side of mixed danishes from the Viennoiserie.
The avocado, tomato and mushroom on rosti was fine and a nice hearty breakfast which is also pretty health giving however, for pure taste, the bacon and egg buttie reigned supreme and was quite frankly one of the best I've ever had - bun as soft as pillows, bacon of the highest quality and a sunny side egg cooked to perfection. However, the pastries are not to be ignore and to miss these would be a crying shame. Fresh as fresh can be, they prove to be the perfect (if excessive) accompaniment to any main and a fitting ending to a breakfast of the highest standard.
If I could, I would make this a daily start to the day but as you can imagine, I don't think my wallet or health can afford such riches. But for a treat or special occasion, I can think of no better place to spend the morning.

What: Afternoon Tea
Where: Green Park, London
Value: £25pp
Food Review: For the afternoon tea, there was a small selection available so i opted for the earl grey. For sandwiches celery, salmon, cucumber and chicken. I did not have the chicken so could comment but the others were simple and delicious but nothing out of the ordinary. The cakes consisted of a lemon square, a fig tart, chocolate eclair and a battenburg. Not one to like fig, i tried it anyway and it was not too fig like and actually quite tasty.
Settings Review: Standing grand outside of bond street is the location of this majestic dining room. With mini rooms and circular centre area and room on a balcony, there is plenty of seating. The gothic interior set against soft lighting makes it visiable enough to see your dinners but not being overpowering.
Positives: tasty scones, pretty setting
Negatives: no description before ordering,
3 Word Review: could be better
Love and Limoncello Food Points
1. The Wolseley is a grand old dame that serves grand old traditional food!
2. I had the lemon sole and chips. The lemon sole was lightly battered and cooked well.
3. Service at the Wolseley is excellent. The waiters are pleasant and even on a busy day efficient.
4. My favourite part of the menu is the desserts. Think yummy traditional desserts like Apple strudel, sticky toffee pudding.
5. One for friends, boyfriends and anyone you like.
6. It's not cheap but not bank breaking either.
Was in the area running an errand & took a chance in the hope that they would have a table for one for breakfast. My luck held & I was shown to a table in the middle of the restaurant. I knew what I wanted so ordering didn't take long. The service is unobtrusive & yet friendly. My order of a small grapefruit juice, eggs florentine & a cappuccino was taken & I proceeded to go through the menu to see what else grabbed my fancy since I have no doubt I'll be eating here again.
My juice came & the small size was just right to whet the appetite without leaving me feeling filled. I'd have preferred my juice to have a bit more of the pulp though. The eggs florentine arrived along with the coffee. The cook of the poached eggs was a bit uneven with one slightly on the firm side & the other a bit runny but the toasted muffin, the spinach & the hollandaise sauce more than made up for this. The muffins were toasted to perfection, the spinach had been cooked just long enough to retain a slight bite when eaten & the sauce had a lovely tartness that offset richness of the eggs beautifully. The cappuccino was decent but had no outstanding features worth the mention.
Of all the places I've had breakfast in London this is the one I love coming back to. I keep threatening to have the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon but some how keep finding myself ordering the florentine. Watch this space because I'm still hoping I'll get to write about the scrambled eggs next time.
The old car-show room, bank and now restaurant let you drift in time. Does the Great Gatsby sits next to us?
I had a nice Schnitzel in a high cholesterol variation. Excellent side-dishes.
Definitely worth a visit.
I finally was able to try this place and after booking a table here once before. The experience was amazing and I loved it. The food was delicious and was cooked perfectly, especially the steak which was amazing. The ambience was also quite decent and the staff was also quite warm and welcoming. I would love to visit this place again.
I recently tried this place and had a lovely time here. The food is excellent and the drinks are amazing as well. The service is pretty efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly. There are a variety of new and pretty interesting options on the menu. I was quite impressed with this place and would love to come back here again.
We had the experience of trying this place lately and was a fine experience. The place is quite packed but decor was quite classic and lovely. The food was delicious and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The service was just okay and nothing extra-ordinary and would have preferred the staff to be a little more efficient. Overall it is a decent place but do feel that the food is a bit over-priced.
This place has been on my wish-list since a long time and I had been craving to have their Eggs Florentine, as suggested by some of my friends. The interior of the place is even better than the grand exteriors and has vaulted ceilings and arched entryways. The staff was very well organized and so was the menu.
The Eggs Florentine was surely the best I've ever had and were utterly delicious. The staff also presented me with a small gift because it was my birthday, and they surely made a lifetime customer by doing so.
I opted to visit this place for a good, satisfying breakfast. I ordered a few things on the menu, which were extremely delectable and delightful. The best part of the breakfast was the black pudding, which was extremely delicious. The service here is swift and prompt. I would definitely go back for a great meal again.
The place is great to go for afternoon tea with friends and is located near the heart of London's main attractions . The atmosphere was very classy and elegant, almost felt as if I had teleported back into history. It's a busy place so I'd suggest you make reservations first. The variety for afternoon tea was exquisite, an amazing assortment of good quality breads on display. I liked the scones, the pastries and the strawberry jam in particular. I would come back soon .
The place looks like a car showroom, now turned into a tea room. The afternoon tea here is extremely delightful and so is the food. The finger sandwiches and scones are absolutely delightful and fresh. The staff continuously tops up the tea pot, until you're completely fulfilled. The staff is hospitable and kind and extremely friendly. I would definitely return to this place and would surely recommend it.
Stumbling upon this place while looking for a place serving afternoon tea, I definitely had a great time. Located next to the Ritz, this place is a real charmer. The real experience is when you dig into the delicious finger sandwiches with the perfect cup of tea.
I would definitely recommend this place if you want to have a fun outing with friends and family.
The food is decent and I recommend you order the eggs and soldiers for starters. The overall experience is average however, the service could have been more attentive of our demands.
I might go back to try out more things from the menu but with little expectations from the service staff.
This place is beautiful and has an impressive interior. The best bit was that the table was ready for us when we arrived, as we had made a booking before. The service here was impeccable and the staff were so helpful. They carefully explained the food, on the menu to us. All of the food that we called for was a delight. The second round of sandwiches appeared rather soon, without waiting much. We were extremely full after all that we ate.
I would suggest each and every person living in London and the tourists to visit this place at least once. The ambiance is amazing and the staff is very friendly. Everyday there's a special dish and the one that day was Veal Hongroise.
Another mouth watering dish is the smoked haddock omelette, which is tender and had small chunks of fleshy white fish.
i have been to this place a couple of times and it never ceases to disappoint me. Prior bookings are required at this place as its is usually bustling with people. The place offers delicious food and can be called a "foodie heaven". The food is priced moderately. The staff is very friendly and hospitable.
The service offered here is close to splendid and one has a great time when relaxed in the luxury of their facilities. We had visited this place before seeing a show and I must say that it was a truly awesome experience. This place does not just offer you a meal, but offers you an experience served with perfection on a platter of yum food!
I recently went to this restaurant without making any reservation and was pretty glad to have found the table with ease. The staff was pretty knowledgeable and the service was also pretty quick. We were seated in a separate room after we got the information that all the tables in the main room were booked in advance thereby missing the ambience of the restaurant.
The ambiance of this place will make you feel like you are walking back in time through its doors. The food here is great. The service is also very formal, with the servers being friendly and extremely attentive. The best time to visit this place is during 8 am for breakfast on a weekday.
I had the blueberry pancakes which were soooo well cooked (I would know, given how I try them at every other restaurant I go to). I also had mango juice and coffee which complimented my meal pretty well. The service was unbelievably quick and the interiors were pretty modern. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would also recommend this place to all the people out there.
I love the afternoon tea and if you do too, this is the place to go. The restaurant is located in a picturesque location, almost like you've seen in some the English movies, the towering ceilings in elegant shades of gold, black and cream. Everything is so tastefully arranged too.
This restaurant is a massive one with very nice and comfortable seats. The staff was amiable and the service was top notch. They took very good care of all their customers and the experience was amazing. I would recommend you all to definitely try this place sometime and I am pretty sure that you won't be disappointed with your choice.
I must say it is quite a good restaurant. The menu is quite an extensive one offering a lot of European cuisines. The decor is impeccable and you will definitely have a good dining experience. We recently went there and had scallops as well as steak. The scallops were above average whereas the steak was a disappointing choice.
This place is one of my favourite restaurants in the city. They have truly amazing service, and it is some of the best I have witnessed in my dining experiences in this city. The food tastes great, and I have always loved the battenberg, which I recommend should be ordered with a macchiato. The appetizers are a little small in size, but generally the food is generously proportioned. The ingredients used are fresh, and of an unmatched quality. I nurture a soft spot for this place and highly recommend it.
A nice place to go for the afternoon tea. The decor is classy and elegant in white marble, complete with high ceilings. The tea is great and so is the food on offer - sandwiches, cakes, scones etc. Should definitely visit for a nice and peaceful afternoon tea with friends.
My colleagues decided to come here for a mini celebration and I am so happy with their choice! They had an extensive separate vegetarian menu and we enjoyed our bottle of wine that came on our table. Service was prompt and efficient. They made sure again and again that we do not have any problem in our celebration. Would come back again for more meals here.
It's an old British establishment. Worth a visit no matter for Breakfast, Lunch, Tea or Dinner. One can spot celebrities often here. Coming to food, generally everything is fabulous on menu with immaculate service. My personal favourite is Kaiserschmarren in dessert - it's a 30 minute wait but mama Mia it's worth it!
The Wolseley is absolutely gorgeous, with its high ceilings, imposing columns and large chandeliers. The main room is very large and spacious and definitely reminds one of glamorous 1920s architecture. This is a great place to have breakfast or tea on the weekend. It is elegant but not stuffy and the food is delicious.
The menu is very classic but the selection they have is quite tasty and well-done. I had poached eggs with salmon and a bowl of fresh fruit; both dishes were perfect, both simple dishes but done very well and made with fresh ingredients.
I definitely recommend the Wolseley, it's an elegant restaurant with great service. The waiters are quick and attentive and even through all the grandeur you are still made to feel comfortable.
The best restaurant I've ever been too. The steak was fantastic. My wife and I went here for our first wedding anniversary and were extremely impressed with the setting, service and food. Any questions welcome.
The wolseley is a great place with beautiful interiors and food. This restaurant is set in a beautiful location right next to Ritz Carlton on Mayfair.
I had the English breakfast and a hot chocolate with a chocolate croissant which was fabulous, the English breakfast consisted of an omelette, pork sausage, mushrooms and a blood sausage.
I would certainly recommend this place to you all though service could be a tad bit better.
Food-(4/5) presentation-(3.5/5) ambiance-(4/5) service-(3.5/5).
Best Eggs Benedict I have ever had! Brilliant ambiance - very pleasant and European. Excellent service as well. Bit pricey for breakfast regularly of course, so save this for a special occasion! The baked goods looked brilliant as well but was too full to taste it!

The Wolseley is one of those places that has more of a reputation for being what it is, rather than the food they serve. Afternoon tea at the Wolseley (which is what we had) is a bit of an institution, perfect for those trying to impress relatives without forking out for a grander tea at, say The Ritz. We took my boyfriend's mum and her husband for her birthday and it lived up to the occasion. Once you step past the heavy black curtain (which already gives it a hint of glamour) , the interior is wonderfully grand but surprisingly bustling.
The afternoon tea we had was along traditional lines - typical finger sandwiches like salmon and cream cheese, scones with currents served with clotted cream and jam, and a selection of cakes. What doesn't look like a huge amount is deceptively filling and all of it was well executed and tasty. It may not be the 'coolest' venue, but it's a classy establishment and it knows what it's doing. Perfect for a treat.
Afternoon tea has to be one of my favourite things to do in London. The Wolseley located on the Piccadilly one of London’s most famous boulevards. The grand European building is gorgeous, as soon as you step in. The high ceilings, gold, black and cream shouted out expensive.
I felt like I was in one of gossip girl episodes where Serena and Blair go to Paris, dining in exquisite places.
For £23.75 per person you get a selection of cakes, finger sandwiches and a choice of tea. The pastries are every changing, served on a 3-tier tea stand, the revealed the scones. The middle had 6 pastries and finally the bottom a selection of finger sandwiches.
Overall I think the afternoon tea was great value, the pastries are delivered, and sandwiches were good. I would recommend it to anyone for an experience to dine at a prestige looking place.
Been a while since I was here but still ranks as one of my best dining experiences. perfect for a special occasion. Loved the acoustics, service, decor & of course the food.
The Wolseley is a grand establishment located right next to the iconic Ritz Hotel in London
When I first came to London, a good friend of mine who enjoy breakfast as much as I do recommended this place, after a wonderful first experience I just have to come back again
The menu is split across 4 meals of the day with breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.. But obviously I’m here for the breakfast…
Without further intro, let see what I have
While waiting for the food, grab a cup of café au lait and a croissant
Crispy shell and soft doughy well layered inside and aroma from the butter makes it heavenly.. It would have been even better if it was served warm
For the main dishes, we got the Eggs Arlington (or Eggs Royale in most places) and eggs benedict
The eggs were poached perfectly.. Runny yolk inside and soft eggs white that just melts
In the benedict, the ham wasn’t too salty which was nice and the muffin were lightly toasted while retaining a soft texture.. Delicious
For the arlington, the salmon’s balance of smokiness and saltiness was just right and the hollandaise were decadent.. But today the chef went heavy on the lemon I would say.. But still it was delicious..
Kedgeree and Wolseley fish cakes were among the sharing dishes…
With my background as a person who enjoy intense curry flavours and spices, the kedgeree was abit too mild for me but the fishcakes were really good.. You can see chunks of salmon and crab… Not too dense and goes well with their tangy hollandaise..
The Wolseley never let me down and always leave you smiling out the door… So start your day here and you will be happy for the rest of the day..
P.S highly recommend that you make a booking in advance
Absolutely superb for standard fair. All the dishes they do, they do incredibly well. The Liechtensteiner for instance is superb, the best I've ever had! The service is outstanding, you always feel well looked after despite it being a very busy restaurant. They have been consistent for the two years that I have been a regular and I hope they keep up the very good job that they do.
Fantastic place for a nice meal. Although restaurant is huge but bar is not big enough but nice variety of drinks. Food was good. Tried the Checken breast with mushroom which was fantastic.
Good place not only for a meal but also for nice coffee and desets.
Staff very good.
Please note the place is expensive and good for celeb spotting.
If you come to the Wolseley for anything, make it for afternoon tea. You may need to fast during the morning (and you might not eat again that day), but trust me, its worth it. The afternoon tea is very well executed with great attention to detail. Of course its a bit of a splurge, but if you're in the mood for relaxed elegance, or if you're showing somebody around London, the Wolseley is a must!
A great restaurant. It has that New York brunch vibe - good food and quite extravagant feeling. If your in the mood for a boozy long lunch or looking for great food I feel it can cater to both. It is expensive but now I guess you've realised most of London is (or at least the finer dining). Not an everyday place but for sure worth going!
A fantastic experience of Britain of old. The decor, the waiter's attire, the silver service all make visiting the Wolseley worthwhile.
I went with my girlfriend for a birthday brunch and they made a real effort. Following our Eggs Benedict, they came out with a beautiful tuile biscuit with happy birthday on it.
If you are into celebrity spotting then this is a good place to do it, granted the celebrity we saw only had 'Casualty' to her CV but a celeb all the same.
Obviously this is not a cheap eat so save it for a special occasion and really bask in it!
Definitely THE place to go in London! Self-described 'cafe-restaurant in the grand European tradition', the Wolseley is one of the premier destination venues, as popular for breakfast & brunch as it is for dinner and even afternoon tea. The high-ceilinged room will immerse you in the ambiance of traditional Viennese coffee houses.

This institution is famed for its interior, excellent food and highly deferential service. Connoisseurs of afternoon tea regularly pilgrimage to the Wolsely to enjoy an experience of taking tea that is bettered only by the very best in London.
Each aspect is as it ought to be: the silverware is brightly polished, the choice of teas is broad, the sandwiches are fresh and morsel-sized, the scones are crisp without and soft within, the cream is thick and the jam seeded. Service is attentive almost to a fault, and the tables are spaced generously, perhaps to counteract the somewhat impersonal effect of such a large dining room.
All of this, of course, demands a price to march. An option for tea takers of modest means is to share one afternoon tea between two, as there is quite enough food to satisfy two people at tea time. A good place to know, perhaps best filed under 'special occasions'. Rumoured to be good for celeb-spotting...
Never been disappointed here.... The food is amazing, the service is outstanding. Remember to make a reservation.
The afternoon tea is wonderful. The atmosphere is nice and the staff provide good service. The scones are delicious, the sandwiches are tasty and more can be brought on request and the cake selection is good. The only downside with the cakes is, they only bring one of everything; so if you want to try it all, you must share. The tea selection is also nice. Overall, The Wolseley is an excellent afternoon tea experience.
Visited this restaurant for my birthday recently. The good was delicious, ambience was good and service was excellent and as if nothing was too much of an ask. I would certainly recommend and would return. However, I do not think the quality is such that truly reflects the price and there is soom for improvement. So, be mindful of the London prices. All in all, very good!
Wonderful early dinner before the theatre. Everything was delicious, with particular highlights the kedgeree and the fishcakes Arlington. Service was impeccable and the elegant dining room put you in the mood for a top class experience. For the quality of the food and the service, not to mention the location, I would say their prices are fair. We can’t wait to return and try the many other things on the menu that sounded delicious. Thank you for the lovely birthday surprise too (pictured here).
Great afternoon tea experience. It is quite loud so it may be hard to hear your table at times. Thought that service could be better, but it’s still good. Scones, cakes, and sandwiches were all good. I did see a few tables not finishing their cakes and sandwiches which was a bit surprising…
We had afternoon tea here after being this place being highly rated. The atmosphere is amazing if you’re looking for a posh old school place to have a classic afternoon tea. Was a bit disappointed with the sandwiches and scones. The tea was good but the overall experience was probably not worth 55 pounds for the package with a glass of champagne. I would suggest to look elsewhere for the afternoon tea experience at a better price. They didn’t replenish any of our sweets, sandwiches or scones.
Enjoyed the afternoon tea set at The Wolseley. Service was good although the restaurant was full so it was a bit slow at times in terms of refills of tea and sandwiches. The sandwiches were good, some edges on the bread were slightly dry - perhaps out for too long but the sweets were nice. There were options of egg, pickles and cheese, salmon and cream cheese, coronation chicken to name a few. There was a good mix of fruit and chocolate cakes. The scones were definitely the highlight. They were delicious and fresh and the jam and clotted cream was also wonderful. Priced at £40pp for the non alcoholic option, would recommend for a treat or a special afternoon out in central London
I visit today its good wow! The place itself is so clean and comfortable, polite staff every section and This is definitely going to be my place of choice whenever coming back to london🥰👍🏻🫰🏻love to go again and again…🔥🔥 thanks for the services with huge smile. I would say big shout out to them for great services . My server as gone above and beyond to provide me the best services as I was on fasting today and he took the permission from his manager to provide me fruit salad of my choice. Amazing 🤩
🤞🏻👌🏻🪬🧿🫰🏻♥️🙏🏻👍🏻
Absolutely loved my experience having afternoon tea at the Wolesley! The restaurant is so beautiful and has a lovely old-world classic feel, so if you’re looking for a traditional English afternoon tea, this is the perfect spot. The scones were delicious, soft and fluffy, there was a good variety of sandwiches and sweets (although the sandwiches could have a tad more filling), and the teas were great. Not sure why there are so many reviews about the poor service but my experience with the waitstaff was just outstanding! They were so accommodating of everything I needed, and even offered me refills for any of the items if I was interested. I really appreciated how attentive the service was and it really added to the classy, upscale ambience. The portion size is more than enough for one person too! Cannot recommend this gem enough, I’m glad I was able to visit on my trip to London.
What a wonderful place for an afternoon tea. Beautifully decorated and well-appointed.
The service is friendly and approachable. They explained each of the sandwiches to us, as well as emphasized that it was an "eat as much as you want" situation, with refills on whatever we wanted. We were so full after one round that we didn't refill, but it was nice to have the option.
The finger sandwiches were all amazing. I loved the cheese and pickle so much that I got some Branston Pickle as soon as I got home to New York. I also loved the coronation chicken. The pastries were quite good too, with the poached pear and frangipane tart being a real highlight. And the SCONES... so delicious with clotted cream and jam.
The tea was pretty good, but honestly the food was more of the highlight to me.
One of the brunch classics in London.
Food was good but didn’t really amaze me.
Staffs were extremely friendly and caring.
As it is a popular spot to dine, the restaurant is quite noisy and you need to talk loudly.
Everything was excellent. I are chicken schnitzel and my husband ate iron meat (something called similar). We ordered a starter with cheese, which is the restaurant's specialty. Afterwards we ordered sachertorte and carrot cake with coffee. Carrot cake was excellent. Service, environment and food was great.
We reserved for lunch and luckily can directly order afternoon tea after our lunch meals (afternoon tea started from 15 o’clock on that day). It was noisy as most people sat in a big room but service and indoor design still made the stay enjoyable. Normally sandwiches should be consumed first so we followed the rules but couldn’t eat up the scones, which was really a pity. Aside from the scones, cheese cake and himberry éclair were top.
Come for the food and not the service, which is best described as adequate. One of the very few places in London that still serves Kedgeree. Very flavorful and using a poached egg instead of hard boiled eggs isn’t that bad. The deviled kidneys are also really good with some sourdough. Make a reservation as the place gets quite crowded by around 930-10am.
For the experience of high tea, this was worth it. It’s perfect to catch up with a friend or bring your parents. The food is typically was served with High tea - lots of scones and pastries. They have a great selection of tea. The room was gorgeous. If you’re looking for the high tea experience in London, this would be the perfect choice.
The best Eggs Benedict I've ever had!
When you walk into The Wolseley, you get the feeling that the restaurant has been there for 100 years. The fact is, it has only existed for 20 years. This former car dealership and bank became a restaurant in the early 2000s, and since then it's been flying high as a world-famous iconic institution and one of the go-to places in London.
It truly is an "all-day café-restaurant in the grand European tradition", as they brand themselves. The atmosphere is sophisticated but at the same time down-to-earth and welcoming.
I was there for breakfast and tried the Eggs Benedict, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit salad, orange juice, and green tea. Everything was good, and the Eggs benedict was absolutely amazing. I've never had a better egg Benedict in my life. My partner had the bagel with smoked salmon and creme cheese, which was also amazing.
The waiters were formal and professional, but at the same time lighthearted and quick on their feet. They were obviously having fun in their job and with the guests.
We brought our 1-year-old child, and that was no problem. The staff immediately showed up with a highchair, and the bustling atmosphere and ambient sound made it perfect for our grumpy little one. The staff was very attentive to our child and joked around with him, which we always appreciate because it makes us feel welcome and allows us to lower our guard.
Well worth the experience. The prices are high, but the food and atmosphere are very good.
It's an amazing restaurant. They make you feel so so special. It's a hidden secret next to the Ritz London. I will be returning if I want to treat anyone to make them and youself feel very very Special. A fabulous cream tea only £40 per person! Booking is Recommended. The WOLSELEY is the best Restaurant in London.
I couldn't think of a more fitting establishment to celebrate my birthday and especially as I've been meaning to visit for a long time. There were two of us so we were sat in the room on the left as you enter, ideally I would've like to have been in the main room but I was too excited to be overly concerned. The full English has to be one of the best cooked breakfasts I've ever eaten outside of my own home. The scrambled egg was rich and creamy, the black pudding was heavenly and the bacon equally tasty. Sure you're paying a premium for the setting but believe me the quality of the ingredients was excellent. I can understand why Freud was so enamored with the place. Highly recommended for special occasions

If Brunch Food heaven was on earth, this would be it! One of my all time favs to go for brunch when in town with friends. The building is a historic beauty and every time I go I find another delight of architecture. Now the food - sublime! I’ve never been disappointed and every time I try something new but the Eggs Benedict is my go to always, and washed down with a bucks fizz. The cake pastries are yummy and with a flavoured coffee is just the best to set you off for the day … weekends you need to book as very busy.
