Love the Place
Amazing Service
Fan of Cocochan
Love always
Thank you for an amazing night
Huge fan of this place! Its like a little escape from the crowd outside and taking a dip into Asia through the PanAsian cuisine!
Absolute fan of the cocktails, the prawn and the lobster!
Cocochan always amazes me!
Highly recommended!!
The vibe of the restaurant was a little inconsistent ambience-wise from dim moody lighting to a stark white clinical sort of room
I would recommend sharing a range of small plates and dishes with friends in order to try a range of things. To drink, I had the Miss V Mocktail (delicious, would recommend). Tiger Prawn Tempura w/ Chilli Mayo (so tender! would highly recommend, not enough/too good to share); Prawn & Chive Dim Sum (really enjoyed), Chicken & Ginger Gyoza, Chilli Squid, Octopus (wasnât to my taste, a bit weird). For dessert a Salted Chocolate Butter Fondant w/ Popcorn Ice Cream (Yes to dessert! This was lovely)
P.S. I tried one of my friendsâ sushi pieces here and it was so good plus Iâm not a sushi fan... so that was a pretty good sign :)
We had delicious dim sum here, beautiful flavours. We found the service to be obliging, when we asked to change tables soon after sitting down, there was no problem. The service continued to be of a high standard throughout our meal. The food was delicious, my partner who is none to keen on his vegetables, had three helpings of the seaweed salad. We would go back again.
Set right in the middle of st Christophers place this Asian restaurant fulfilled my need for Thai and Japanese food. Would definitely recommend for a quick fix for an Asian craving
Very good location for simple meal. The fusion sushi was good. The lobster and noodle were too salty. If it were made less salty it would be great. The octopus was not chewy and was soft?
By the way the virgin cocktails were nice.

When I think of a Pan-Asian restaurant, I often picture a chef on a unicycle juggling a variety of sharp knives, scalding pans and slippery ingredients. At some point, something is bound to go wrong, and certain dishes and sub-cuisines are bound to thrive at the expense of others. Whilst this is certainly the case at most Pan-Asian restaurants, Cocochan is one of the few that manages to do justice to the very concept of Pan-Asian cuisine itself.
We visited this place in 2011 when I was just newly married. And I visited it again after 6 years..
I'm a vegetarian whole loves oriental cuisines..
Cocochan isn't sprawling with vegetarian options but their Thai curry and Vegetable fried rice is extremely tasteful.
We had the mushroom gyoza dimsum and chilli garlic edamame which Very good.
This time we visited Cocochan with my 4year old LO and the Srilankan Waitstaff ( unable to recollect his name)
was very very accommodating to prepare a vegetarian stir fried glass noodles from scratch and it's not on their menu..
Will be reVisiting Cocochan next time we are in London
Was a little sceptical to go here inspire of hearing all great reviews but finally decided to go there one day and face my fears. A great place to grab some drinks and dimsums. Must try
Was unsure how good this would be but had a fantastic time sitting in the twenties themed bar and being brought delicious cocktails. So nice to not have to waste time choosing what to have, queue or jostle at a bar and it was really good value as we had five cocktails each by the end. All drinks were delicious and we never sat with an empty glass. Highly recommended. Will be back!
It's a nice place in general, with friendly staff members and comforting interior. Had higher expectations from the food, tasted very average//// also the hygiene in the restroom was not impressive.
Decent place. Nice decor and service. The green curry we ordered was good. The spring rolls were pretty oily and did not have too much flavour. The service was average, staff was busy talking amongst themselves on a lot of occasions. The place is quite pricey for the food they have on offer.
An absolute gem among many restaurants around the city, Chinese cuisine at its best, most wonderful & tasteful dim sums I have ever eaten !

Cocohan is located in one of my favourite food spots in London, St Christopherâs Place, just behind Selfridges. The sleek restaurant offers a vast selection of fashionably presented Pan-Asian favourites from dim sum to sushi. Â Below the main dining area, there is a small lounge bar where you can enjoy exotic cocktails. I visited Cocochan for a friends Bon Voyage meal and we were all very pleased with both the quality of food and service.
Yummy Japanese infusion in a dark, intimate setting. All good choices on the menu, food is the perfect size, comes out at a good pace and has great modern flavours. Great for a date!
Impressed with the food and overall ambience. All dishes were fantastic and staff very attentive. Decor is done nicely. The fusion of different Oriental cuisines works well. Found it to be a little pricey, ÂŁ90 for two starters and two mains at this level is rather cheeky.
Cocochan a slightly upmarket Oriental restaurant at St Christopher place has a cosy romantic ambience.Good and fast service clean decor and nice table settings. The menu has great variety for both food and drinks.
Tried their King Prawn rolls which were excellent. The edamami for starters were nice with a hint of spice and chilli but a wee bit hard. The dimsums were soft and tasty but portions small!!! The grilled Chilean bass was flaky soft white and really melt in your mouth.Truly an excellent dish. The prawn dumplings were yummmmmmy.....but again portions a bit small. A satisfying meal a bit pricey compared with Pingpong right opposite and portions could be larger. Three dumplings per plate is rather odd!!! Well worth a visit anyhow.
One of the "must visit" places in London.
Everytime I'm in the UK, i pass by with no doubt.
Friendly waiters, fast service, delicious food, and very chilling atmosphere!
No trip to oxford street is complete without a lunch at Cocochan. I always order the Sushi Bento box and I must say its one of the best ever around the London town. Although my friends keep recommending other dishes, I am just unable to give up on the Sushi bento box as it tastes amazing. The pricing is good and I wouldn't say its too expensive for the pocket during one of those many shopping escapades. The service is impeccable and prompt. You can't go wrong with this one !
Was a good pan Asain experience, good service. The Thai green curry was good. The dim sum seemed a little over done but was good. The salted caramel mousse is a must.
I've been to Cocochan a few times and I've always enjoyed my meals there. I recently visited again on a Saturday evening - we didn't have a reservation but there was luckily a table available at that time.
I ordered a mocktail to start which had avocado in it, and it was lovely. I always like ordering their crispy duck salad with watermelon and cashew nuts - the duck is nicely marinated and the chunks of watermelon is really juicy and refreshing. They do a nice selection of dim sum - we had the crab, enoki and saffron dumplings, whilst from the sushi selection we ordered the salmon and avocado ura maki. Besides that we also offered a side of stir-fried vegetable noodles. All the dishes were tasty with good portion sizes. As there is always room for dessert, we ordered a salted caramel mousse to share which was sweet and creamy.
I do like visiting Cocochan because they have a good selection of dishes which are reasonably priced. The staff are usually friendly and service is efficient. I would return again :)
This place is located at good place behind selfridges. I went there to try its popular desserts and oh yes they were beyond amazing and so irresistible .
Recommendation for dessert- try salty caramel mousse which is the best or chocolate fondant
The main course dishes are really good as well although the portions are quite small as compared to the prices. The favour is amazing though.
Nice, casual japanese restaurant.
Good for outdoors dining, as they have many tables unlikely the restaurants in London:)
When we go there, we usually order garlic edamame ( order the salty one if you are on a date and don't want to get messy:)), then the XO prawn dumplings (pretty good), california maki roll, soft shell crab roll, shangai noodles and chicken skewers.
Food, service, atmosphere.. Everything is pretty good about this restaurant.
A fab alfresco pan-Asian restaurant just behind Selfridges. Great location and a vast menu. Tried the vegetarian selection on this visit. It was very tasty. Will definitely return to try the seafood and non-veg options.
Itâs that time of the year again, when London is at its best and just taking a stroll in the heart of the city is simply perfect. I become a child again during this period and beg everyone to come with me to see the lights! Itâs cold and your nose is bright pink, but you have a tingly feeling in your stomach because of the creamy hot chocolate thatâs been warming up your hands. The smell of roasted chestnuts and waffles excites you and all you want to do is sing âa whole new worldâ from Aladdin because everything really is âshining, shimmering, splendidâ. As we walked under the decorated trees we thought what could make this evening even better? FOOD (obviously)! The thought of eating at Cocochan ⊠one of our favourite restaurants! Weâve been here before but thought what better way to start our blog?
Located right behind Bond street within the restaurant hub of St Christopherâs Place is this newish Pan Asian restaurant. I follow them on instagram (@Cocochanlondon) and thought Iâd take my friend there for lunch.
We decided to go for the Lunch Bento Box offer they have going. Itâs perfect for lunch time especially if you have limited time and need to go some where after. Prices start at ÂŁ15.50 so not the cheapest lunch option if youâre coming from work but hey! itâs worth it.
I ordered the meat bento box because Iâm a hardcore carnivore. Everything in the bento box was seasoned to perfection and I especially loved the lamb chop. So juicy and tender. Usually with bento boxes, I find some of the dishes pale in comparison to the others. But not in this one. However, it did mean that I felt a little overwhelmed by the influx of all this meat :P
I did get a little food envy when I saw my friendâs seafood bento box. I couldâve easily demolished that! I will definitely go back here again and try something different- may be the Soft Shell Crab Tempura :D.
Cocochan has been making me crazy for months. Not kidding.
I first discovered this Pan Asian Restaurant on Twitter in December. I really don't remember who followed whom first. Since then, I've watched the restaurant's Twitter account ignite. Its social media reach is exploding. The pictures posted of the food are insane.
I usually do not like going to Pan Asian restaurants as  you have a mix of various asian cuisines and I feel the authenticity gets lost but this one was an exception. Cocochan serves Japanese ,Chinese , Vietnamese , Thai and Korean food. This leaves you a bit confused as to what to order.Their menu keeps on changing but if you are going right now I would suggest you try the prawn tempura with spicy mayo , the Crispy Aromatic Duck Rolls and Yellowtail Tacos. Incase you are planning on ordering  sushi I would suggest you try the California Ebi Ura Maki ( If you are a prawn lover like me ) and Soft Shell Crab Maki . I also ordered the Tom Yum soup but you could maybe skip that as it wasn't that great. From the mains I would suggest Wok Grilled Black Pepper Beef Sirloin and I really enjoyed the Thai Green curry. The chocolate fondant isn't that bad either .
I ordered the Miss Cocochan Martini which I loved . If you like lychee flavour this is the drink for you. Overall the food and drinks are quite good. The only negative is that  its a bit bit expensive but then it is in St Christopher's place.
Great restaurant, with great food, though not so great of a setting. The ambiance is okay, though it gets quite busy at times, and even just the decor alone is not very impressive.Â
However, who really cares about the setting when the service and food is great?! The food really is very tasty, I loved all the dishes we ordered, however the Prawn Tempura with Spicy Mayo sauce was really the winner for me. But honestly no dish disappointed me. The value is also great, considering you are getting great quality pan-Asian food in London, I really would have expected it to be even more expensive than it was.Â
Highly recommend this place if you need a little escape from Oxford Street, love it.
This absolutely delicious Oriental restaurant located in St Christopher's place is a must visit by everyone!
To start the night off we ordered the chili and garlic edamame and the Tom Yum soup. Both of which were extremely authentic and true to its flavours. Next we got the vegetable spring rolls, prawn gyoza and prawn and chive dumplings, by far the best dumplings I've had in a while!Â
For sushi, we decided to get the classic california maki and dragon avocado roll, which were so good that we decided to get one more of each! If you still have space left then try the tiger prawn tempura with spicy mayo, absolutely scrumptious!
A definite recommendation to all from me!
St Christopher's place just off Oxford Street is definitely a place where you can have a variety of cuisines from Japanese, Italian to French and Turkish. One of my favourite is Cocochan, an Asian restaurant with fantastic sushi and reasonably priced good wine. The food though, was slightly pricey but it's really worth it because the taste is just beautiful. The service was also good, staff were friendly and attentive.
Located a few metres from Oxford street- one of the most populat touristic venues for shopping you can find Cocachan.Â
Cocachan is famous with its Japanese Food and Chinese ones, but I personally prefer this venue for the hot beverages and for the great deserts they offer in their various menu.Â
I can recommend to order the chocolate fountain and the cappucino, which comes with vanilla ice cream balls.Â
The service is quite nice as well always positive and attractive girl able to satisfy your food desires.
A recommendation from a friend led me to explore this Pan Asian restaurant on Marylebone street . The restaurant is very close to the hustle of Oxford street . The restaurant looked simple yet appealing , the interiors and decor is a perfect set up for an Asian eatery . Above all the food here was more than satisfying . The blend of flavors of the sauces with the combination of noodles or rice was mouth watering . The highlight of the dinner was the tiger prawn tempura. The rice and noodle delicacies is must have too.Jasmine rice with red duck curry was delectable . My love for caramel made me opt for the salty caramel mousse for the dessert ,the creamy mousse with the amalgamation of the salty and sweet flavors was an ideal way to end the treat . The only drawback was it was a little overly priced with average sized portion of food . The place can get overly busy at times leading to slow service . But the staff is amicable and kind otherwise . Overall a pleasing dining experience.
Cocochan has been making me crazy for months. Not kidding.

So, whatâs the story behind this place?
Cocochan is located right near Selfridges in St. Christopherâs Square. Itâs always packed.
Every time I walked by, I was intrigued. Mr. Sunny and I stopped by once to introduce ourselves to the magician behind the social media accounts. We also checked out the menu. It was excellent bait for us. Weâre sushi lovers.
For Mr. Sunnyâs birthday on Friday June 13th, I decided to treat him to an âAll You Can Eat Birthday Mealâ at Cocochan. Yeah, I know it was his birthday, so he shouldâve had the choice. However, since I was paying, I got the final say. And, I had to make sure it was Blogalicious.
We arrived and were escorted to a special reserved table. Next, we were given complimentary champagne and our water glasses featured two origami butterfliesâŠThe butterflies said âHappy Birthday, Mr. Sunny!â Clever, indeed.
The menu was overwhelming. We didnât know how to decide. As we waded through it, we munched on some gorgeous green peppers.
I finally decided on a Maki Sushi selection. This is the Salmon and Avocado Hoso Maki.
And, yeah, youâre going to see that âHappy Birthday, Mr. Sunnyâ butterfly in just about every dish, it was such a nice gesture.
Mr. Sunny had Crab, Enoki and Saffron Dumplings from the Starter section of the Specials menu. Mr. Sunny says, âThey were bloody lovely!â
In fact, there were a few more in the serving. We were very excited about the wonderful flavours of both Starters. For our third Starter, we shared the Mixed Selection of Sashimi which had tuna, salmon and seabass.
Mr. Sunny calls this dish âFlippinâ Fabulous!â Why? Because he said the fish was so fresh he swears it was still flipping in his mouth. You feel me, Sunny friends?
We were totally tormented over what to do next. Order Main courses or continue layering on more Starters? Any guesses? We piled up our plates with Smoked Salmon and Prawn Tempura Roll.
Do you think I stopped there? No chance. We ordered âDragonâ Eel and Avocado Ura Maki. I canât even find words to tell you how exquisitely the flavours rolled around my mouth. Beautiful. Just beautiful.
Mr. Sunny had the Tiger Prawn Tempura, Spicy Mayo. AND, the Chilli Squid Shichimi Salt, Sweet ChilliâŠAND⊠the Crispy Aromatic Duck RollsâŠ
Mr. Sunny calls this experience a âmultiple orgasm of flavor.â He said it. Not me. ;-) Iâm trying to keep this whole blog thing Rated G.
Mr. Sunnyâs Final Thoughts on Cocochan:
- âThis is a shame. Iâm full and I havenât even touched the surface of the menu.â
- âStand by for Volume 2: Iâll be BACK!â
- âBoys, nearly every table was full of girls!â
Ummmm, I think there will be private conversation in the Sunny household about that last thought.
The food was just too damn distracting.
But, Mr. Sunnyâs âAll you can eat Birthday Dinnerâ was a huge success.
Food choices are huge and really beautifully arranged. The taste is so excellent and the portions are of decent size! I'd recommend a starter (the crab cakes are fabulous!) and a main -and you'll easily get full. My absolute Favorite: the salted caramel mousse! A must!
I went to Cocochan for lunch with a colleague on a weekday. It was remarkably busy, and I felt the layout of the restaurant was a little crowded. However, the bent o box lunch deal was very good value. I had the meat option, and the portions were generous and tasty. I had a Schumann-style soup, and although I'm not a massive fan of spicy food, I found it delicious.
One of my favourite places in London (halal) to dine in! Really cute vibe at James Street and great location (2 minutes away from Selfridges on Oxford Street).
Their prawn tom yum is really good, better than the chicken one in our opinion. Their starters are much better than the mains (try: korean bao buns, dragon roll, salty edamame OH and the Tiger Tempura đ€).
For their mains, their green thai curry was okay but their chicken pad thai was good. I would say, stock up on the starters because theyâre so worth it đ€€
Absolutely spectacular. Iâve been here multiple times and theyâve never disappointed. Halal restaurant, pan Asian cuisine. The Mocktails are incredible, such unique flavours. Sushi is so cutely presented and the flavours are amazing. Popcorn chicken was seasoned so well and tasted great. The Bento boxes were so scrumptious. Would highly recommend booking a table, restaurant is usually busy and rightfully so. Customer service is so friendly and attentive. Such a wonderful experience and fantastic food.
Maybe the best Japanese food I've had in the UK (though I haven't tried that many places). A bit pricey for the portions but the food more than makes up for this with the quality. Food, drinks and dessert all superb and a nice atmosphere, with outdoor seating adjacent to James St.
Note on service: If sitting outside, don't sit next to the street as the staff may forget about you (both my and the couple next to us struggled to get their attention). However, I moved inside and immediately got very quick and friendly service (especially after a lovely waitress came on shift and was very friendly and helpful, forgot to get her name to compliment her here).
Overall, nice experience! My friends and I came to celebrate a birthday. We ordered a bunch of sushi rolls to share. My friends recommended the Unagi Dragon Rolls. There arenât that many vegetarian options so I had the Pink Garden and Vegetable Gyoza to myself. For cocktails, I would recommend Payback, because it was really refreshing. We brought a cake ourselves to celebrate but were charged ÂŁ20 for the staff to store and bring the cake out. It was a bit unexpected, but we shouldâve called in advance to enquire. Oh well. Something else that was unexpected was the changes in the menu. The one we saw in the restaurant wasnât exactly the same as the one available on their website. On another note, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and nice interior design.
Great food and lovley service too, First time visiting and I must say I loved it! The sushi was great and the cocktails were amazing! Will definitely be going back very soon!
It is amazing place for food and the sushi was very delicious am sure i will come again and i want to thank the staff was amazing with us and they are very professional ( ali , elina )
Our favourite pan Asian restaurant in london. Absolutely recommend the tempura prawn starters and the black pepper beef with the Fried rice. A true delicacy đ
Very nice food, great atmosphere and service. Lunch set menu is quite reasonably priced, main course potions however are quite small. Drinks are very good. Loved the sushi and drinks but the steak could have been a little better. All meat is halal.
Relaxing place to go out with your friends in a summer day!
To start off, the vibe of the restaurant is very cool and chill. Dishes are very well presented.
Probably the best sushi and black cod dumplings Iâve had. Essentially, this isnât a very student friendly place to go, even with the student discount. Otherwise, Iâd encourage others to give it a go :)
Held a birthday lunch / dinner for a special friend today, I promised the manager Svetlana that I will be writing a review tonight because we all left the restaurant extremely satisfied. The service provided by the manager was top notch, she has an amazing knowledge of the menu and she advised us thoroughly. The food was delicious. We ordered whole range of starters and like every single one. The highlight was beef in main dish and non alcoholic cocktail Miss V. Will be visiting you soon, thanks for an amazing evening.
We tried the tasting menu which was good. We sat downstairs which had live music which was enjoyable. Although maybe don't sit downstairs if there is live music and you want a quiet night.
Service was great and food was overall good.
Lunch round two, the Bento box was ok but nothing special. The soya sauce tasted very vinegary. The screwers and tataki were very nice and best by far was the black miso black cod đ
Great food and lovley service too, ordered Duck Pancakes đđ Korean Fried Chicken Bao Buns, Prawn Tempura & Dragon Roll Sushi.
Duck Pancakes top of the bunch for me đ
Pretty, pan-Asian, halal restaurant around the corner from Bond Street station. Went with a friend on a Friday night after work for an early dinner and, despite being early for our booking, were seated straight away. We ordered chili edamame, squid, seafood dumplings, salmon sushi rolls, and chicken bao buns, all to share. Everything was delicious, drinks were good too. Looking forward to going back!
