Located in a really nice location in hackney, I went there for their AGM recently and tried a couple of beers and lentil pizza. Food and beers are good. Getting a table outdoors in summer might be hard.

Up near the bridges and next to a big carpark, many a yuppie, their dog and their young family attend this drinking hole for a weekend lunch. It serves pizza and although the bases are crisp Middle Eastern flatbread rather than your standard doughy base, the creative toppings make up for it. - Middle Eastern Lamb (tomato reduction base, mozzarella, fresh spinach, marinated lamb mince, parmesan, pine nuts, fresh chopped mint, chilli flakes) £12 - probably my favourite with good earthy flavours and textures roaming throughout;- Proscuitto & Rocket (mozzarella, oven semi-dried cherry tomatoes, parmesan, vincotto, proscuitto, rocket) £11 - perhaps a little less on the creative side for toppings but standard and good;- Kashmiri Dahl (mozzarella, fresh spinach, dahl, cumin, chilli flakes, crispy shallots, mango chutney, Greek yoghurt, fresh banana slices, fresh coriander) £12 - the weirdest and most creative pizza had a nice spiced element but I have to admit the sweet banana was a bit further along the strange spectrum on this pizza.

Crate is a quite unique place. Located in what i assume is an old industrial area, the place made me recall the days back when the production plant I used to work at as an QC engineer was being revamped, very reminiscent of those early days. The decoration is minimalistic, but enough to set the mood. The pizzas are really damn good. I had the middle eastern one, with lamb, and was fantastic. My girlfriend had the sage and trufles and I was very torn to pick which was the best. The dough is very light and thin, and they pack a nice flavour. Be aware that the place is busy, and at 2pm they had a full house and a very active bartender tending to dozens of people. If the weather is nice, try having lunch outside, wit a very tranquil site of the canal. The crate golden beer was a good complement to a nice pizza but not that exciting to be honest.

Crate Brewery Hackney Wick is located in a former industrial area on the banks of the River Lea and is an upcycled venue that’s fitting in with the current “on trend” East London vibe. The bar is made of old railway sleepers, the seating has been formed out of ladders and ratchet straps while old bed springs are used as light fittings.

What can I say? This place stole my heart! The layout is great, the staff is ever so nice, pizzas are gorgeous and there's a great selection of beer to choose from. It may not be the cheapest place in Hackney but it's certainly not expensive either and the quality of what is served is well worth it! Plus, sticker bombing in the toilets? You have me for life at that! ;)
Also, eating by the canal during an exceptionally sunny day in summer (without leaving London! Can you believe that?) is priceless. Some say it's hipser central... well, so what? If making my piece with the inner H means having craft beer and awesome pizza by the canal on a chilled Sunday afternoon, well, I'll gladly welcome it lol

Hidden gem in Hackney Wick, definitely worth travelling for, if you dont live local!

Great place right next to the canal, with a lovely pizza menu (thin, crispy delicious pizza - a mix of traditional flavours and experimental - truffle/potato/white pizza) and a great choice of cider and beer. Their own brewery is just next door and they have seats inside, as well as seats outside right next to the canal. A great spot after a stroll along the canal. Cant wait for spring/summer!

A pretty obvious choice but still decent nonetheless. Good beer, good ~10£ pizzas, good atmosphere, good setting. Busy but still able to squeeze on a table. The sort of place with a lad playing records in the corner 👍🏻 Sweet potato Stilton and walnut pizza was v tasty. Had it w/ a bait chocolate pint that was ok. Complete ur Hackney wick day out with a walk down the canal after.

Beer should be drunk fresh – ideally straight from the machinery – and this is as close as you'll get. And Crate have done themselves proud with their pizzas too. They may not be the best pizzas in London, but this might the best place to eat one.

Pizzas here are an odd bunch, but a merry one. My favourite was surprisingly a veggie option – the stilton, walnut and blue cheese, which sounds bizarre but was tangy and sweet genius

Any bar that serves Brooklyn Beer by the canal in London is bound to be an absolute winner. Attractive, young hipsters with their dogs seem to love this place more than most, filling the place on a Friday night with a relaxed kind of buzz.

One can only assume it's in the job description for all male staff to sport a moustache, rivalling only their knowledge of craft beers for the top reason of why you should try this place out. It is, quite simply, very, very cool.

If you happen to be passing by on your boat, and let's face it, who isn't, then you can enjoy a free beer too. Along with their impressive beer selection, they offer an interesting array of flatbread pizzas including Sage and Truffle and Middle Eastern Lamb. There aren't enough middle eastern lamb pizzas around in my opinion, and if these bad boys are anything to go by, then there really should be.

Nestled behind Hackney Wick, tucked against the Regent Canal and a stone's throw away from Victoria Park, Crate Brewery's is nothing if not enterprising. As its name suggests, everything outside is built from crates and palettes but inside, you'll find a real treasure. Constructed from bits and pieces found in the area, the warehouse space has been converted into a handsome, bustling brewery. There's five home-brewed pints on the menu (the Crate Lager's a good'un) and they also welcome other craft beers from around the world on a regular basis.

No old man boozer this though, what better way to wash down your pint than with a very moreish pizza? Served on boards, these crisp stonebaked pizzas have some of the best toppings I've ever tasted. I opted for the very colourful and tasty courgette, feta, red onion and gremolata pizza and managed to demolish it in one fell swoop with the help of some fiery chilli oil.

It's a popular place, particularly on warm and lazy Sundays. The sun disappears over to the other side of the canal pretty early on but make like the many canine companions and chase it into the brewery's lot. Trying to get a table is like trying to get the two-second rule to work in your favour but nab one if you see it and order your pizza sharpish - the wait for food can take up to an hour and they even had to close the kitchen for a bit to handle all the orders when we went.

The simplicity here is charming. It's a much-loved little spot and perfect for the summer. Bonus tip? Play your cards right and you can sit in the little (moored) boat for a real bit of messing about on the river.

This is just the right place to try out some good beer and freshly baked pizzas to go with that. You can go with a group of friends and just hang out for a couple of hours. This place has a perpetual rush of people and it is crazy to stand in a queue to wait for your order. But take my word for it, It is worth the wait! Beware of the beer temperature before you sip it.

If you are looking for a nice, spacious place to be seated with your friends then this is definitely the best in this area. It has abundant outdoor seating and you will enjoy your meal while glancing at the beauty of the place. It was one of my dreams to be seated near a river and enjoying my meal and I have to say that it was perfectly fulfilled.

One visit to this place will just not be enough. You will want to go here again and again. Even during late lunch hours you will find it bustling with people. We were surprised to get a very prompt service for our pizzas and we were more than happy with that. I felt that the pizzas were even better than the ones in Italy! I mean it. Go and enjoy your meal!

My experience here was amazing in terms of food. The kind of variety that was being offered in terms of the pizzas and the starters was surprising. You name it and you could have it. I went on a public holiday and the place was just jam packed. The servers were on their toes, trying to cater to every table as quickly as possible. We were lucky enough to get a table for 15 of us. I advise them to employ more staff members at least during these rush days.

This is one of those places that has lived up to the hype associated with it. The interior is very beautifully done and it will surely catch your eyeballs. The outdoor area gives you a chance to just keep viewing the beautiful canals and you are sure to have a lovely time. You can try the beer which is offered in interesting variety. The pizzas are worth the try. You can get a lot of options in the vegetarian section also.

This is one of those places that I really do want to visit every now and then for the fact that it is very relaxing to just sit by the canal and enjoy your beer. In the summers this place is always bustling with people. You should book your seat in advance else the chances of you managing a place to sit are rather bleak. In my opinion the hand made oven baked pizza is just delicious and worth the wait. You will relish every bite that you take.

This is the place for only the pizza lovers and who are open to try out some quirky toppings and do not just stick to the basic pizzas. The one i got for myself had walnuts, gorgonzola and sweet potato in it. We also ordered a laksa chicken pizza and that was also delectable. Order a beer along with it and you are done with your meal. Staff was prompt and pleasing. Worth a visit!

The ambiance here is alive and buzzing at all times and you might find a friend in a stranger sitting next to you. They have choice in lager, ale and cider in beer which are all amazing. Their pizza is quite great and perhaps the best in the city. The flavours are great and melt in your mouth. However, the place can be quite busy and the staff can be a bit slow.

I had a great time here and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The service was very impressive. The staff were extremely helpful and warm. I ordered Crate's lager known as 'flavor' and it was the best thing I had there. It had a tinge of fruity taste and was slightly bitter. I also tried a shot from the off-the-menu Crate IPA, and it was just amazing. I had a good time there and I'm planning to visit this place soon.

Honestly, I never received great reviews about this and I just wanted to go there myself to check it out once. On visiting the place i actually found out that place was average. I had ordered for a pizza and a dessert out of which I hated the pizza and the dessert was way too sweet that totally screwed the whole feel to have a meal. I have realized that it is better consider advice and count on the reviews.

I visited this place with some of my friends last week to have a couple of drinks. We ordered some beer and were told that the pizza would take approximately 45 minutes to arrive. The drinks arrived instantly and the pizza in about 30 minutes. The pizza was huge, crisp and was really delicious. I'm not sure what this place would be like during winters, but for now, it was definitely worth a visit.

This place is a delight. Both the restaurant and bar area is enticing and has a lot to offer. To begin with food, we had our meal before going down at the bar and ordered a set menu comprising of three course meal along with a glass of wine, truly value for money. Bar is relatively expensive than the food itself!

Hackney Wick is a very interesting place, the stark contrast of the shining olympic stadium, a beacon for all things capitalistic, in its shadow sits a brewery. Inside here? Rebellion, celebration and the classic hedonistic combination -
Pizza & Beer. The pizza is made on site, the beer is made on site, why the hell would you ever leave?

There is a famous vietnamese saying that where the freshwater of the river meets the salt water of the sea this is where the fish are tastiest.

In this combination of the industrial meeting the corporate we have the tastiest pizza, finest beer and stunning views. Welcome to Crate, situated behind N.90 (a cracker of a bar) this place is a hub of energy and activity.

The pizzas are fantastic. I ordered the sage and truffle and the margherita. Truffle oil I have no idea why is not on the table of every pizza restaurant, whenever i have takeaway pizzas I coat them in truffle oil every time. So I was glad and impressed and just how truffley their oil was, crisp base, just the right cheese tomato ratio too.

Margherita was just as good, can't recommend this place enough. It isn't the place you go to experience Italian cuisine, this is the place you get a glimpse at Hackney and the miracles people can do when given empty space.

Great place to relax and have a beer and pizza on a sunny afternoon. Right on the canal you can't pick a better spot for outdoor drinking. There's a number of beers on offer covering just about any taste desire you have. The pizzas could be hotter when they get to you, but the flavours are incredible. The lemon chicken pizza is a let down but the others are delicious. Enjoy it here while the sun is still out and about!

The Vibe

The romance of a canal is lost on few, particularly those with precarious funds who need to date creatively. A walk by the canal, how cute, how quaint. Throw in a Cornetto and a craft beer and it’s pure poetry. However, should you be able to stretch to a drink in a pub, perhaps even some food, the Crate Brewery is the insanely hipster go-to for people who can’t get off without a body of water in close proximity. Once you navigate your way from Hackney Wick station and actually find it, you’re confronted with a large and lofty former print factory with immensely high ceilings, hanging light bulbs in arty baskets, long wooden benches inside and outside, sofas made from recycled coffee sacks and an open space by the water where the real magic happens. A sigh of relief is heard from those who’ve travelled far and wide for this edgy spectacle when they realise it really is a microbrewery and the name isn’t just another marketing paean to industrial chic. The crowd is attractive and young, the vibe is undeniably both jovial and deeply cool. It takes a bitter soul not to enjoy this place.

The Order

Six craft beers brewed on site, plus their own cider for the summer. Drink prosecco if you want to class this up. The pizzas will take a long time to come, so long that you’ll forget you ever ordered them and it’ll all be one big surprise. They taste like absolute heaven, however. There are interesting options like the Middle Eastern Lamb but the Spicy Salami seems to be the people’s choice – thin, crispy, sweet with a kick. After the first bite, run to the bar and order another – you’ll get it much later on once the your booze demons have really taken hold.

The Game

There’s no way your date is being left to make this trip alone. Meet them at Highbury and Islington and mount the Overground together. You bought some ironic G&Ts in cans for the trip. When you get to the Wick hang around for 5 minutes, spot a good looking crowd in grubby t-shirts and follow them. All going well you’ll end up at Crate. If not, get out the iPhone. Once you arrive, instruct your date to grab a table (commanding) and order the drinks and pizza . Have a couple of rounds inside and get comfortable. Once the first bit of eating has been done, it’s your turn to scout for space outside while your date goes to the bar. Now you’re by the canal, sipping on your lagers, shoulders touching as you perch on the same bench. Chat away merrily, pick a hollow subject like ‘the politics of Snapchat’ or ‘the decline of Buzzfeed’ and enjoy the flirt. Before you leave to get another round, lean in to kiss them. Then pootle around the venue for the rest of the night and panic when you have to leave. It’s physically impossible to navigate your way home so it actually makes most sense to just split a cab back to yours.

The Faults

Hard to find.

I was in Hackney Wick for a gig at the Yard Theatre on Friday night but since I'd arrived a bit early, I found myself stopping by the Crate at around 11pm after reading some interesting reviews about it on my phone.

I arrived too late for pizza but early enough to sample their homemade beer selection (12am is when they are officially listed to close but in reality people hung around until even after 1 - they didn't have a particularly strict door policy).

I'm not usually a massive fan of beer but trying the Crate IPA and the Stout, some of the brewery's speciality beers, gave me enormous satisfaction. I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised. These finely crafted beers exuded niche flavours and a distinctively fruity kick.

While sipping my beer, I sat outside by the riverside and took in the street art, deep house music, and hipster-esque discussions from the surrounding people. I definitely felt the East London buzz in this area - the graffiti, the derelict warehouses, the underground music, and the slightly illegal vibes of the early morning raves.

The final frontier between OlympicLand and the London boroughs that the Games Legacy serves to protect, Hackney Wick is a quintessentially East End neighbourhood; steeped in history, looking back – yet looking forward.

Hackney Wick is – and you’re not going to believe this – is in the borough of Hackney. Central Hackney is a quite a way away to the West, but to the immediate East is the arterial River Lea; a hop, step and jump across that will land you in Olympic Park. During the Industrial Revolution, the area was the centre of the universe (much like it was in Summer 2012 I guess) and was a rat’s maze of factories, chimneys, warehouses, workhouses – and slums. Hackney Wick was poor; described in Charles Booth’s 1898 map as an area of “chronic want”.

Sadly, as the industry moved out of town – into the Home Counties and beyond – the situation in Hackney Wick deteriorated into notoriety and a festering reputation of crime, violence and dereliction. As the nineteen eighties took hold, abandoned factories pulsed once more – this time with impromptu, illegal afterparties and raves. Graffiti began to cover everything, like creepers festoon ancient temples in the jungle.

Fast forward thirty or so years to a surprisingly sunny albeit crisp afternoon in September 2012.

I’m lost on the Overground. Yet again. No wonder industry left Hackney Wick; it’s bloody impossible to get here. After an idiotic detour to Canonbury (my fault) and then a backtrack towards Stratford I find myself on the platform at Hackney Wick Station. I meet my mate and head off in search of the Crate Brewery.

First perceptions of Hackney Wick are both familiar and foreign; the station turfs out into a warren of seemingly derelict warehouses, yet if we listen we can hear the familiar thud of bass.

Studios, then.

The presence of AMG Mercs and even a Gallardo corroborate that whatever goes on around here these days, it’s moneyed. The graffiti remains – yet it is of the ‘upmarket’ variety. An un-arty friend calls this style ‘Shoreditched’; it’s attractive yet all mixed-metaphors – a clueless homage to Banksy – but I quite like it. Hackney Wick is so ‘East London’ it hurts, but despite signs of activity the area appears downtrodden and akin to a ghost town. The Olympics are long gone and now the equally big task of realising the London Legacy begins – but I don’t really see it here yet, despite the scarlet tangle of the Orbit towering over us and the Stadium maybe only a few hundred metres down the road.

Anish Kapoor’s controversial sculpture serves as a lighthouse – guiding us to where we need to go. The Crate Brewery lies on the bank of the Lea Navigation in the White Building. Once a painter’s workshop and before that, a peppermint cream factory, the White Building fell into disrepair like much of the surrounding area. Grace Dent recalled that this grand structure played host to the occasional rave and was plastered with graffiti for good measure – a microcosm of the Hackney Wick neighbourhood itself.

Things have changed these days. The White Building is once again whiter than white, and is now host to SPACE, an arts centre. The whole locale and the press releases that set the scene are full to bursting with tired synonyms of East London such as ‘sustainability’, ‘upcycling’ and ‘regeneration’. SPACE itself is described as a ‘creative laboratory’. All good here – as long as it all walks the walk.

Another aspect of the ‘regenerated’ White Building is the introduction of Crate Brewery. Brainchild of long-term residents of Hackney Wick, Tom and Jess Seaton and Neil Hinchley, Crate opened just in time to take advantage of the inevitable Olympic footfall that graced the area. It quickly acquired an outstanding reputation as an independent brewery specialising in a wide range of craft beers – as well as for equally delectable pizzas.

Beer and pizza – now here is a recipe for a boozy East London afternoon out.

I was recovering from a heavy evening at work – at a banquet – receiving my five-year service award. My mate was recovering too (for other reasons; and let’s just leave it at that). We found the White Building without too much hassle. It looks smart and polished, in stark contrast to its seemingly unloved surroundings. A bold piece of graffiti across the Lea reminds us of the grubby past;

“IMAGINE WAKING TOMORROW AND THIS S**T HAD DISAPPEARED”

The words sing like a canary…

Even after Coe, Rogge and the rest of the circus has left town, Crate appears to be ticking over nicely – it is busy, inside and out. For what looked on paper like an edgy, hipster-esque gastro-pub, the clientele is mainly families and middle-aged dogwalkers. Not a pair of skinny jeans or thick-framed eyewear in sight. Everyone is seated under ‘upcycled’ lighting (made from old bed-springs) on equally ‘upcylced’ furniture; a hodge-podge of wooden benches, scruffy sofas apparently made from barley sacks and those horrifically uncomfortable chairs that plague school classrooms around the country. We grabbed a couple of benches and two tables (one made from a cross-section of tree-trunk and the other made from the end of a beer keg) and surveyed the surroundings.

Crate is a poster-child for the post-Olympic London Legacy: lovingly restored under the watchful eyes of architect David Kohn (the very same Mr. Kohn who designed the amazing ‘A Room for London’ on the South Bank). Kohn stayed faithful to the history of the White Building and inside Crate, we are greeted with a vast and airy room which – despite its advantageous proportions – seems intimate and cluttered (we are sat practically on top of the next table over). An open kitchen takes up about a quarter of the room, backing onto the bar. It’s all white-on-wood, bare surfaces and the atmosphere is one of strange, rustic minimalism. We discuss that Crate appears deliberately hand-made – and it is – designed by Kohn but actioned by a team of dedicated Hackney-ites (“built by local people for local people”); their mission being to get the brewery off the ground by the start of London 2012.

Obviously, they succeeded; and today the brewery seems as busy as when it was being built – one thing is for certain, the place is not short of employees. What recession?

Thanks to a plethora of trendy, young and down-to-earth servers, it did not take long to get served at the railway-sleeper bar – but alas, choosing weapons took considerably longer. The beer menu – albeit not the largest in the world – is extensive and user-friendly. Everything is well-explained and the bar staff actively encourage you to try what’s on offer; as my Aussie bartender charmingly asserted;

“We’re just here to make sure you have a great time”

On-site, Crate brews a Golden Ale (3.8% @ £3.50 / pint), a Pale Ale (5.8% @ £4.00) and a Lager (4.8% @ £4.00). It’s all available bottled too. In addition to their bespoke offerings, Crate serves up a smorgasbord of guest beers by a constellation of other brands and breweries. I tried the in-house lager, simply because I usually find the amber nectar universally unimaginative choice in a pub.

”Come on Crate, surprise me”

I was overjoyed to actually find that Crate’s lager contained a thing called ‘flavour’; it was slightly fruity and bitter, with a hell of a kick. Nice though it was, I opted for an off-the-menu Crate IPA; I tried a shot and it won my heart with its deep, smoky and peaty assault on the palate. My mate was happy enough with the Golden Ale but later on I tried a mango beer (from Belgium, oddly enough) called Mongozo. It was dangerously delicious; possessing an Umbongo-y sweetness that led to me draining the bottle in three-and-a-half minutes. Such exported oddities cost a little more here – a fiver on average.

Crate’s modus operandi is much like any old pub; grab the menu, order at the bar and get a table number. The menu is much like the brewery itself – no frills and back to basics. It is literally pizza or pizza. Still, Crate’s seemingly meagre offerings appeal to all; from the mighty Margherita to the more outlandish choice of sweet potato, gorgonzola and walnut. Everything is priced between £8.00 and £12.00. So far this is proving to be one of the cheapest Saturday afternoons I have ever had.

A ponderously slow wait for the food had me wondering whether the Crate’s ethos of ‘working for the fun of it’ was being taken a step too far. After a frankly ridiculous wait of around forty minutes (for two pizzas, really?), we were presented with two wooden chopping boards; one crowned with a Chicken Laksa pizza and the other with a Middle Eastern Lamb offering. Mine – the Laksa – was a white pizza and was rich, creamy and a little bit too much for one man – just what every pizzeria should aspire too. The chicken was Laksa-fied alright – carried along elegantly with a little spice and a touch of ginger. My mate’s lamb pizza was the real winner – it was festooned with pine nuts and a subtle smattering of apricot. My decades-old aversion to lamb took a rare back seat there and then.

As we chowed down on damn fine pizza and equally awesome booze, the chaotic atmosphere of Crate ran along with tempestuous comings and goings; the table next to us were suffering an equally long wait for a couple of Margheritas (I can be very nosey sometimes) and their annoying kid was trying to engage in a stare-out competition with me – a game which I inevitably won. Although there is a shortage of tables and the room was getting busier, at not one point did we feel rushed; feeling fine with sidling though the afternoon with the New Yorker and a newspaper or two.

Finally, we decided to vacate our benches and log table (it was snapped up seconds later). We headed outside and back to Hackney Wick Station. Wandering away from the White Building, the throng and bustle of Crate gave way to the eerie silence of the area’s industrial backstreets. Even the thud of the bass had stopped. It seems that, by-and-large, the legacy of London 2012 is yet to reach Hackney Wick, but Crate is one bastion of renewed optimism that seems to be holding its own – even as London’s Super Summer fades into fond memories.

The reason for Crate’s success is that it’s an unashamed product of love. It’s also an archetypical East London stereotype of self-obsessed gentrification that will polarise those who are die-hard aficionados of their own London neighbourhood (for example, my Clapham friends will hate it here, I’ll tell you that), but there is no denying that the craft beers and handmade pizzas are wonderful – and even if service, comfort and finesse sometimes miss the mark, it’s not for want of trying. Everyone working there seems industrious and proud of what they achieved – and are achieving – and that will surely be Crate’s legacy – not just a legacy of lamb and Laksa – but a place of hard work and tangible results – much like the Hackney Wick of old.

And come on, £15 per person for first class beer and pizza? Not many joints in London will give you that kind of bang for buck.

Amazing spacious microbrewery by the canal! They have tons of seats both indoors and outdoors. There’s a great selection of self produced beer. Had the hazy which was delicious. The pizza were also great - the lamb pizza was very special. The sage and truffle on the hand tasted a bit bland in comparison to the lamb.

We loved the sour beer there, and pizza is great also, a lot of new flavours, not your traditional pepperoni pizza. Would definitely recommend. The only thing is it can get very, very busy.

If you're looking for a place to have beers in the sun then look no further 🍻🌞 we spent about 10 hours here. Massive layout on the canal with lots of tables although make sure to getthere early if you want to sit down. We arrived about 3pm on a Saturday and there weren't any, although we managed to snag one when people left. They do 4-pint pitchers of beer which makes things easy if you're with a group. Service is quick with bars inside and out. Bit of a d-floor gets going after dark too 🕺 The urinals and toilets are really nice compared to most bars. The place to be.

Been to Crate in Hackney Wick a few times and it's always been a blast! Really nice environment, situated by the canal and with a number of things happening all around. The pizzas are really good (or I was really hungry all the time!) And the beer is what's expected from Crate. A nice range of really good beers! I'll visit again!

First time here. Interesing venue, Pizza came out quick and was very filling. Enjoyed a nice IPA. Easy to get to from the Train. Very attentive staff keeping the area clean and looking good. Enjoyed the music, good choices, not loud but good enough to enjoy and have a good conversation.

A great place. Gets super busy on weekends. Pizza is yummy. Ours came out late but they gave us free drinks on the house - a testament to their good customer service.

Good pizza, good cider. Have been here a couple times and it never disappoints. Can be very busy so be prepared for that. Staff was friendly and quite nice. Their pizza ordering system requires a table number which can be annoying if you've come solo and don't want to leave your wares laying around.

**EDIT: I returned recently and got their limited edition daal pizza- which sounded weird- but was surprisingly good! Also got the mango beer which was pretty unique!** Margarita Pizza is not good- sorry! And there are limited vegetarian options. Worth coming for for the beer & ambiance though
