Ever since my go-to pie place closed down, I’ve been looking for a new source of my favourite winter comfort food. So when an old high school friend was in town for the first time it seemed like a perfect opportunity to try out a new spot. The Guinea claims to have won a number of awards for their steak, kidney, and ale pie and we headed down to find out.

Good food, quaint atmosphere. The people are very friendly and helpful. All the customers there were in good spirits. Good time. Good selection of wine.

Seriously this is London's best kept secret. One of the best steaks I've ever had was here and the steak and kidney pies are legendary. I love this joint.

Steak and Mushroom Pie!!. Tends to be on the crowded side, but for good reason. Very good service. Best Steak and Mushroom Pie I've ever had.

Guinea Grill is another restaurant where the menu doesn't change much for if it did, there would surely be uproar. With a menu centred around its grill products and its famous pies, Guinea Grill has a very distinct offering which is truly well loved by it

So beautifully traditional ! A very warm greeting at the door is a great start, following by a sneak peek at the raw steaks, like the butchers shop. Seating is cozy and atmosphere is very warm. The steaks are succulent and wine list and advice great. And we bumped into Dermot O'Leary ! Nice bloke

One of the nicest Mayfair pubs around, in a quiet little street, very cosy inside in the colder months, but in the spring/summer, the street is quiet enough that patrons spill well over the street. Standard pub drinks, a very solid food menu, the steak and kidney pies are the best I've had in London. They have a lovely formal dining room upstairs, seats up to 20 people I believe, and it's wonderful for a team dinner, with steaks, wine, pies and all the best English trimmings. My favourite recommendation for an English pub!

Had built up high expectations for the Guinea and took a friend for a celebratory dinner. Was not at all disappointed - this one of the best dinner experiences I’ve had in a very long time. From the entry greeting to the incredibly professional and jocular staff, the hospitality was top notch. The food was tremendous and nice to see an offering of traditional classics such as kidneys, liver and haggis. All of them were fantastic accompaniments to the Cote d’Boeuf, which was cooked to perfection. The pace of the meal was exactly as hoped - not rushed or too slow. The atmosphere was unique and comfortable. Truly, this was an excellent experience - easily the best steak I’ve had in London and one of the best I’ve had globally (I’m fortunate to have tried many of the top places in the USA). Not inexpensive but worth every pound. Book with confidence.

Stunning meal and amazing service. We were celebrating a team success. Glad I wasn’t paying as it is a bit pricey but for a special occasion The Guinea is awesome. Best steak I’ve had outside of the USA.

Popped in briefly, as I heard the Guinness was spot on. Information was absolutely correct, the best pint of Guinness in London. Had some of the bar snacks to keep the booze at bay, sausage roll was a winner and the chips are cooked perfectly. Lovely atmosphere inside and a restaurant out the back. Lovely staff, and thanks to Allan for looking after us, lovely man, great customer service and a friendly face. Will 100% be back.

Very characteristic place, even if the space between one table and another is very little. We went there to try a steak and mushroom pie. Pie is good, beef wellington not special, but acceptable. Excellent service, but the price is a bit exaggerated.

Served a lovely pint of Guinness by staff in shirts, waistcoats and ties, which added to the ambience. There was even a guy outside in the same uniform but with an additional top hat, looking after the outdoor drinkers and neighbours of the pub. Worth a visit to sample the Guinness alone!

In my world this is a hidden gem, had no idea this place existed , cool British atmosphere , outstanding starters and the ribeye was really juicy . I recommend this place for a max group of 4 , excellent for close up business meeting , very low key place off Berkeley square

Not been here for a long time. Managed to sneak a 6pm table at short notice on a Thursday. Beautifully cut and prepared steaks (rib on the bone). Great sides and a super bottle of Primitivo. An institution that deserves its great reputation.

Top of the range London steak house. You won’t be disappointed. Choose your own beouf, what more can you want? Gruyère spinach - knockout and highly recommend. Service and ambiance impeccable.

Went yesterday for the first time. Both the starters and the meat were very tasty. The waiter we had was very helpful with recommendations and also very welcoming. The sides and sauces were also amazing. Definitely deserves the 5 🌟

Perfection from start to finish. Their service is 5*, the team are just wonderful, their food was lovely, wine checks were good, very comfortable, brilliant. Definitely somewhere you can chill, have fun with friends, or take a client. They also have a space upstairs for some events, which was nice to. Highly recommended
