Very friendly atmosphere and accommodating to get the table we wanted. I ordered the Sea Bass Fettucini which turned out to be the best Fettucini I have ever tasted (and I've tasted a lot in various international locations). Tony had Chicken roasted with Rosemary which was absolutely superb!! We didn't have pizza but they looked amazing straight from the wood fired pizza oven. Would highly recommend this place for the good, ambience and service - first class!!
small shop, good food and some good wines- so it is definitely a good pick for italian around notting hill. Having seen it on top 10 listicles, I did not find the menu, the services and the atmosphere that exquisite but I liked watching how my pizza came to life! do not neglect the non-pizza options to get the full experience. will probably go again when I am craving for Italian food.
The Perfect Pizza. 7 of us went there Friday night and we all agreed the place was brilliant - food, service, atmosphere - all 5 star! I doubt you will get a better pizza anywhere else in London... This place is the genuine article and I say that as a frankly difficult to please Italian. Bravi ragazzi - you deserve every success!

Saporitalia is set to be a hit with its large, unpretentious and authentic pizzas Booking a table at the last minute in London is challenging at the best of times. Trying to secure a spot for nine people on a Friday evening at a new and already well-reviewed restaurant on fashionable Portobello Road would seem to be a fool’s errand. You can imagine our surprise, then, that this turned out not to be the case at Saporitalia whose easy-going staff informed us that seating our group that evening would be no problem at all. Although we eventually arrived almost an hour late we were warmly welcomed and waved thorough to our table at the back. Almost as soon as we sat down small plates of complimentary bruschetta were served, a detail that immediately impressed everyone. The menu at Saporitalia is pretty traditional with familiar ingredients and combinations on offer, though some members of our group found the choices a little uninspiring, with pizzas seeming to lack the extra one or two ingr
There's more to the menu than pizza at Saporitalia, which means I'll be returning and soon. I want to try the pasta dishes, and that delicious looking antipasti. For an easy meal with some good pizza in the Notting Hill area, Saporitalia is definitely one to keep in mind. They're so friendly there, I'm sure they will even find space for your pram.
There's a unique buzz about market days on the Portobello road. Stall holders selling weird and wonderful wares, the constant aroma of street food attacking your nostrils and the choice of restaurants abundant and eclectic.
A friend had recommended Saporitalia, a buzzy, cosy place that was rammed at around three o'clock, the time of our arrival. Waiters were up to their neck in customers but gave us a very warm welcome. The food coming out of the kitchen looked very handsome indeed, especially the pizzas for which they are known. However, I spied the sardines on the menu and my companion the mozzarella in carroza, a kind of golden encrusted fried mozzarella sandwich which is terribly rich but totally delicious. A bowl of mussels and clams and the pacchero with veal meatballs in a tomato sauce with parmesan, mozzarella and ricotta were ordered as the mains, along with a bottle of Pinot Grigot blush.
The grilled sardines were simple and very tasty indeed, just needing a squeeze of lemon to perk them up. The mozzarella in carroza was wonderfully rich as predicted and the flavours were brought together beautifully by the intenseness of the tomato sauce.
The mussels and clams were in a lovely broth and served with Italian toasted bread, whilst the star of the show was undoubtedly the pachero with the meatballs. Large tubes of al dente pasta were filled with the most gorgeous, cheesy filling and the veal was light and hugely complimentary to the dish. We certainly made the right choice of wine to enjoy with our lunch to boot.
The rents on Portobello road must be eye wateringly high and the bill for lunch was over eighty pounds - I would say a tad over priced but when everything is just right, which it so rarely is these days, you have no right to complain.
Incidentally, we were offered a complimentary glass of limoncello to finish off our meal and the service throughout was really pleasant and professional. A great find and I have absolutely no doubt that I'll be back.

Probably the best Italian food I have had in the UK. Went for the rigatoni pasta, was cooked to perfection and the flavours were incredible. Finished off with the perfect tiramisu, and a lovely bottle of red wine. Couldn't recommend more for an authentic Italian in a beautiful setting!
Pizza was amazing, staff were attentive and nice, prices were reasonable, the decor was splendid, tucked away on Notting hill market provides a quaint area for a meal and some chill from the hustle and bustle of the markets. The food was heavenly, freshly made and worth a trip back for. 11/10 very recommended.
I ate in the rustic part the other side, it was absolutely fantastic and for me a memorable experience enjoying some of my favourite food! Lovely staff, vibe and atmosphere, and such an appetising menu! The veg platter which we shared a side was one of the best veg dishes I've ever eaten, just so much variety, and just so perfectly cooked, every single element on the plate right down to slices of carrot with a perfect bite left to them. My norma rigatoni was full of flavour and rich with olive oil, I loved it. It's not cheap (though not overpriced) but it's worth it when it's like this, it was all just so uplifting and delightful, I cannot wait to visit again really soon.
What a fantastic authentic place ...love it, will be back again for sure, don't miss it you will not get better quality food for sure
I had the best dinner with my friends!! It was our first time there and it was everything lovely! The food amazing and also the staff! :)
The best Italian food I've tasted anywhere. It was my son's birthday and the staff were lovely and accommodating. There were 8 of us including 2 little children and they were so helpful and supportive.

I'll write a full review soon, but this is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to in my life. Absolutely divine, beautiful, fresh, rustic dishes with so much flavour, so much seasoning, so many herbs. This is a delightful place!
Very charming little Italian on Portobello road with friendly staff, a jolly vibe, and excellent pasta. Pro tip: ask for the specials of the day, they tend to be.. well, special. We had the portobello mushroom pasta and the lobster pasta, both delicious.
- The portobello mushroom pasta: very buttery and flavorful, those mushrooms are so delicate but at the same time satisfying. I don’t know what went into the seasoning and the sauce but it all works.
- The Lobster pasta: Saporitalia went for the big guns here. I suddenly see in front of me a giant lobster on a plate, with some pasta underneath. The pasta was good, but the lobster was definitely the star of the show. The meat was fresh and juicy, and combined really well with the rest of the dish. Some of the best lobster I’ve had in London.
I have to say, we have concluded that this is the best meal in an Italian restaurant that we have had in London/outside of Italy. Our food was absolutely outstanding, so full of flavour and very clearly full of high-quality ingredients, including the most beautiful, fresh seafood. I was blown away by the seafood, actually! I usually struggle to find restaurants that ensure good quality and fresh seafood but Saporitalia pulled out all the stops. We loved our dishes - baked aubergine and mussel soup for starter, then the truffle pasta and seafood linguini. So rich in flavour, we were genuinely so impressed and enjoyed every last morsel! The staff were lovely and the service was so friendly with an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming, and there was a lovely feel about the wooden interior. Absolutely will be back!
Homely, family feeling with the added bonus that the food was absolutely amazing. Will be coming back! I noticed one of the other reviews mentioned that the service was slow. Maybe they hadn't taken into account that everything was homemade and wasn't taken out of a freezer and popped in a microwave behind the scenes! They make everything from scratch which is why you have to wait a little bit and this is why the food is so delicious! If you appreciate real Italian food with authentic flavour them look no further than Saporitalia! Thankyou very much. Our waiter looked like Dustin Hoffman and was a dude too. It's a shame I can't remember his name! But thanks anyway for everything.
Thank you for a great evening I had with my parents! The food was to die for AGAIN and staff were very friendly. The menu has a lot of options for everyone omnivore or vegetarian. I booked a table by calling them earlier the same day. But you can also easily get a table without booking.
First we had ”il tagliere salumi misti e formaggi” which was perfect size to share between 2-3 people as a starter, a delicious mix of different meats and cheese. As a main we had one of the daily specials, Pappardelle Al Coniglio, rabbit ragu which came highly recommended by the waiter. A generous portion with plenty of flavour. I hope I will find this dish on the menu again or if not it will definitely be a sweet memory, one for the books.
I’ve been taking my friends and family members to this restaurant for years because it has never disappointed. Great place for lunch or dinner. Seafood pastas are also great! Pizzas all of them have been delicious every time.
The food is same level or even better than what I’ve had in Naples. But here you always get very friendly service - in Naples not so much! Lol 😄
We all had 3 cocktails, 3 courses and shared 2 bottles of wine, came to 80 pounds pp. Good price for the quality and portion sizes and attentive service.
Lots of love to all the staff x
What a beautiful restaurant. A piece of authentic Italy on the Portobello road. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The chef is friendly and came out to great us and offered to make us a special fresh Italian salad that was off menu. Absolutely divine. the house wine is absolutely delicious and the chef takes pride in his work, the pasta was made that morning and you can taste the difference in every bite. Highly recommended !
Had lunch with the family in this restaurant whilst visiting the market. Food was absolutely fantastic, very tasty and pizzas were amazing. Good value and a great location. Would highly recommend
Delicious ! Eat under the veranda, it’s really special!
The service was great and the food too!
Remembered this place being the old Goode and Wright, but wandered in randomly, and absolutely loved it. A huge wood-fired pizza oven rolls out delicious pizzas, and I watched a fantastic-looking spaghetti vongole go by. It's much bigger than it looks from the outside and everyone seems to be Italian. Will return, great atmosphere, delicious yummy food.
Had dinner at Saporitalia for the first time and if I could give a score out of 10 I would give an 11/10! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the warm and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. From the moment we walked in we were given the most friendliest welcome and treated as if we had been regular attenders for years. All the staff were incredibly friendly as well. The food was truly authentic and delicious, I highly recommend eating here! The manager made sure to check up on how we were enjoying the meal, and made great recommendations as to what to eat. The portion sizes are great, filling and at such a reasonable price! I’ve never written a Google review before but because of the excellent customer service and delicious authentic food we experienced, I had to!
This is the second time that I was going to this lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of Notting Hill and it is always a pleasure. You can see the pizzailo working behind the bar with his genuine pizza oven. I recommend the home made antipasti. There's also a good wine selection. First price is very decent. A true taste of Italy there, from starters to desert. Hats off! 👍
