What a great introduction to pie and mash for my other half. I had been past this place a couple of times whilst working nearby and it was always full, so never manage to get a seat. The pies were full of top quality minced beef with a lovely crisp top to them, mash was smooth and the liquor was plentiful and full of that parsley and stock flavour, not to mention the chilli vinegar. The atmosphere with everyone chattering in there was fantastic, I had a word with a lovely lady who took our order just to let her know how much we had loved the food, it takes nothing to say in person, but we think means a lot. Highly recommended. (You can park for free behind the Post Office !!!!!!, not the £7.80 I paid on the street)

The Exotic Pie is a unique masterpiece. The blend of flavors and tender meat is simply extraordinary. It's a taste experience you won't find anywhere else. A must-visit for pie lovers seeking something out of the ordinary.

I had a salt beef bagel. Great value and very tasty. Service was friendly and swift. Love the combination of mustard and pickle with bagel and saltiness of the juicy salt beef. No need to go to Brick Lane for fantastic salt beef bagels. Come here 😋!!

Haven't visited Chrisp Street for years. Maureen's has a choice of inside and outside eating. Shop is extremely clean and the staff are friendly. Pies could be meatier, mash was smooth. The liquor was the star, good amount of parsley. Would definitely go back

Probably the best East London pie and mash shop out of them all. The Salt beef sandwich is as good as your get anywhere door stop cut bread and absolutely stacked packed with meat with a gerkin and mustard. The pies are lovely and fresh and have a homely way about them and the filling is just right juicy with loads of mince and flavour. Great staff that are very welcoming, shame that there few and far between these days but at least we still have one thrieving here in cris street market. Thank you great place for pie and mash

This is actually my favorite Pie & Mash place!!! (And I’ve tried goddards, canning town and east end pie and mash). The pies are fresh, meaty and delicious🤤. The staff is extremely nice every time I’m there! Their specialty is also salt beef sandwiches and bagels! I’ve tried the sandwich recently and it was delicious and well worth the price! Watch out for the mustard though as it is quite strong! I recommend to everyone for a quick, cheap and tasty lunch! 😊

Oh my days, ive lived up north for 20 years and being able to have pie n mash delivered is amazing coz you just cant get it here. Maureens is just a diamond, a great big shiny one. Fantastic customer service and top notch grub. Cant ask for more than that. Any londoners out there who want a taste of home, this is the place to go to. Nikki, Nottinghamshire.

Best Pie and Mash I've had in London and I've been to all of the famous spots. What sets them apart are the deeper, richer flavors, nice buttery and flaky crust, absolutely creamy mash and distinct liquor sauce taste. Other Pie and Mash places tend to be on the bland side but Maureen's know how to bring out the distinct flavors that make this dish so delicious and the ultimate comfort food in London.
