Overall it was a good lunch with good food, but (starter aside) it seemed to be lacking that attention to detail that would make it stellar Sunday Roast. The #greenwichmealtime hunt continues!

I stopped here with a friend and had lunch. The atmosphere was lovely, set in the beautiful surroundings of Greenwich, and the food was nice. I had a sandwich with chicken and bacon salad, which was delicious and had just the right balance of the different components. The chips which it came with were light, fluffy, and crisp on the outside as I like them.
My friend opted for a more substantial burger, which she said was very nice, cooked to perfection. We considered getting some pigs in blankets, mainly for the novelty of them being on the menu, but decided against it.
Prices are reasonable for the kind of gastro-pub food which they serve, and if you're looking for a great lunch whilst looking around Greenwich, I would recommend The Union!

A great pub with a big garden and an even bigger assortment of beers. The Union is part of the Meantime Brewing company so a good number of drinks on offer are craft beers that you can only get in two other places, one of which is the brewery itself.

Try the chocolate porter or Raspberry wheat for something new.

As well as producing some of the capital's best beers, Greenwich's Meantime Brewing Company also runs a couple of venues which, certainly during the day, offer good, honest sub-£10 tucker. The Union, a polished but still ruggedly handsome boozer, offers upmarket sandwiches and tasty lunchtime meals (midday-4pm), such as aubergine lasagne or a 28-day-aged Aberdeen Angus burger. At around a fiver, the sandwiches may sound expensive, but they come with a big bucket of excellent skin-on chips, and a sample fish finger butty was very good. The fingers had a crisp crumb, there was a proper integrity to the flakes of fish and the bread was fresh. As a well as a comprehensive selection of Meantime's own "craft keg" and bottled beers (from £3.85 a pint), the Union carries a selection of specials from leading craft brewers. The beer menu is an informative read, even if you already feel that you are across your bocks, saisons and dunkles.

Great pub with great front and rear seating areas! Wide selection of drinks all locally sourced with good selection of food all coming in at very reasonable prices. Great place for large groups as well.

In our mind the best pub in Greenwich. Founded by a Bavarian Braumeister, there’s a wonderful ever changing selection of beers on offer here; from their own Meantime Brewery and many craft brewers across Germany, Belgium, UK and elsewhere. We treat a visit here as an experience in beer connoisseurship and enjoy it on that level. Recommend  the Meantime Pilsner, London Stout, Chocolate Porter and Imperial Bitter; and from Belgium; Kriek cherry beer and Pecheresse peach lambic. Outside of the beer, the location is one of the most pleasant and relaxing in Greenwich, and the staff knowledgeable and friendly.

The English Breakfast and the Croque Madame were both perfectly made. The lunch price was adequate, but the normal prices are a bit overpriced. The atmosphere was very pleasent and the waiters were really decent.

Just 5 minutes away from Greenwich station yet tucked in a peaceful neighborhood. Awesome fish and chips and great service. I rate it A+ (the + goes to its very friendly staff). Definitely coming back on my next visit to London!

Pretty good selection of beers at this Greenwich Meantime pub. Opted for the Yakima Red, in my opinion the best they do themselves. However they also have some Tiny Rebel beers at times, which are outstanding. Good atmosphere for the rugby, seems like a proper local pub.

This pub had a huge selection of canned/bottled craft beers and a good tap selection as well. Our server was very knowledgeable about the beer. It's a short walk from the tourist sites in Greenwich but was pretty quiet when we went during the middle of the day. There's a sunroom and an outdoor seating area. Food was great. My wife had the fish and chips and said it was the best one she had on our London trip. I had the halloumi burger, which was awesome.

Some of the best beers I have had comparing many places I have been to. The wheat beer with a dash of lemon is something you won't forget easily. The stout is rich and has a wonderful flavour. The starters are great as accompaniments. A "must not miss"joint . The staff is very friendly and competent. And the ambiance is great. Come and try it out!

It is the best pub in Greenwich if you want to relax. It certainly has the best beer, most of which is from the local Meantime brewery. There is also a selection of beers from other breweries, which seems carefully chosen and is always updated. The food and drinks are decent priced and the atmosphere is very laid back. The staff is very friendly and typically keeps the place open close to 12, even though the pub is supposed to close at 11. There is a heated covered patio in the back and there is seating in the front as well. Overall I would recommend this pub to anyone visiting Greenwhich.

Found this great little pub on our recent trip to Greenwich after being recommended by a family member. Nice pub with good atmosphere. Had a lovely pint of Meantime IPA and had a sausage and red onion marmalade sandwich on bloomer bread served with amazing homemade chips. Was really great and our place to go next time in Greenwich

Great food in a cosy pub atmosphere, with friendly staff that allowed us to sample 5 beers. We ordered the stuffed jalapenos as a starter to share, and had backed sea bream parcel and baby spareribs. All of it delicious. And great value for money, starters from £5 and mains from £11. This was my third visit, and definitely not my last.

Just moved into the area and as you do, looked for a nice pub that served decent food - ended up finding a superb pub that served wonderful pub grub. The interior is rustic modern with great booths, the waiters were superb (I was brought a beer tasting selection unasked but much enjoyed), and the food is really high quality pub food - I had the Ribs, which were melting off the bone and delicious. The only downside was the calamari, which wasn't deep fried and arrived as a kind of boiled octopus - it was a novel take on a classic but it just didn't work at all. That aside, great pub, and a new local fave.

Meantime beer is very good : fresh taste. Attentive staff and pleasant London public house interior. Slightly off the beaten track ... so made for mostly local clientele. We did not dine there but the food looked good by sight.

Pub with very good food, the best fish and chips I ever had! GREAT beer from their own brewery and nice atmosphere, if a bit noisy. And I love their Meantime beer that comes in a LARGE bottle! =)

Great selection of beers - some classics on tap (plus rotating) but loads of bottled beers to choose from. The food is good - high-end pub food. Good sized beer garden, but a bit smaller than Richard 1 next door
