The interior had a very sophisticated feel but comfortable at the same time the service was a bit slow we had to ask multiple times when our order would be taken, we had the yellow tuna tartare as a starter which was melt in ur mouth good, for the main the England bone-in rib eye(cooked perfectly), the lobster macaroni (a bit too creamy for me)and meatballs with spaghetti. I highly recommend the 34 Doughnuts for dessert they come warm and fluffy.

Primarily known for its organic steaks and seasonal game and fish, the elegant restaurant from Caprice Holdings also has a less carnivorous side, with a great selection of salads and light dishes, as well as much indulgent options (they do a mean Mac n Cheese). Their weekend menu is particularly dreamy, serving up brunch staples from eggs to waffles, in a warm and inviting setting reminiscent of old-world charm

I really enjoyed the vintage American style decor and it felt like something out of a movie. The pumpkin soup to start was very nice as was the macaroni cheese and the dessert that followed. Overall an enjoyable experience but not having tasted the meat options it's hard to provide an honest assessment of what they are known for.

Prepare to spend.. On the night I went here, my client insisted on moving, twice. We ended up next the piano. I suggest that you try not to. The food was unmemorable. This is a formula restaurant for people with quite a lot of money who want to be seen in all the right places and who don't mind paying over the odds for the privilege.
I'm not sure why we need a doorman – the whole thing seems a little bit up itself. The room itself is unusual – the shape of a very long shoebox you are very crammed in and it isn't the place for private conversation. People did seem to be having a very good time though maybe it was just me with a scowl because I couldn't actually hear myself think.

Ask for a round table. You might otherwise have to move three times, like I did on the visit before this one. They favour the run of tables close together style of dining, so that you get to know your neighbour, whether or not you want to. A round table will take you away from all that. A round table like the one shared by B and I, with a lamp in the middle and a cord attached, draped, somewhat bizarrely, across the table. If I’m not wrong (and I often am, ask anyone who knows me) this is the first restaurant in the Caring Group that he has opened on his own. The others in the Caring stable, which includes J Sheekey, Scott’s, The Ivy and Le Caprice, he bought fully formed  from Rex Associates, otherwise known as Corbin and King, whose current portfolio includes The Wolseley, Delaunay and Brasserie Zédel. Maybe Mr Caring needed their help to sort out an original name….

Other than the exceptional steak my starter of pan fried veal sweet breads with wild mushrooms and poached egg was well put together if a little average. The baked rice pudding with Yorkshire rhubarb was every bit as homely and delicious as it should have been though.

Not much imagination went into naming 34, its address is 34 Grosvenor Square; such lack of creative facility does not bode well. And the address, well, that too sends a message, for as one London guide says: From its earliest days Grosvenor Square attracted residents of high social status, over half of whom, until well into the 20th century, were people of title. The square has never deteriorated socially. Are commoners even allowed? Finally, as part of Caprice Holdings Ltd, a group that includes Scott's less than five minutes walk away where hedge fund managers being seen and being rich seemed to us on our visit there more important than the food served, are we simply in the wrong place to get a good meal? Fortunately, the answer is no and the best part about 34 is indeed the food. We're pleased to say that 34 is much closer to the wonderful Le Caprice rather than Scott's, leaving us happy customers indeed. As you will have already surmised by now, 34 is the kind of restaurant that ta

There's nothing particularly 'now' about 34; the area's not edgy, the menu's familiar fare, the decor's unadventurous, bookings are taken and the live pianist is from a whole other era. Neophiles will hate it, but for exactly that reason it has 'instant classic' written all over it.

If you were to make a list of the most glamorous and oversubscribed dining spots in London, what would you include? The Ivy, Covent Garden stalwart and default shorthand for an exclusive celebrity hangout, is a shoe-in. Ditto Scott's in Mayfair, where if you manage to get a booking between the hours of 7 and 9 you are surely something above a mere mortal. There's Sheeky's, favoured of West End stars and a very lucky minority of their audiences, and perhaps also Le Caprice, somewhere that generally hides a good number of influential and famous notables behind its lace curtains. And all of the above, astonishingly, are run by the same people - Caprice Holdings. If we are to measure a restaurant's success on its popularity - and I can't think of a better way of doing it - then surely they are doing something right. It's all very well having the best food in Britain but if you can't sell yourself, if you can't make the whole package of visiting a restaurant an "event", something desirable

You really can't go wrong with any of the Caprice Group restaurants. Scotts, J Sheekey and the Ivy are all stalwarts that have been in London for many years. Restaurant 34 is the youngest of the siblings, opening in November 2011. The restaurant is a celebrity hotspot and it is the restaurant of choice for stars such as Kate Moss, Katy Perry, Sean Penn and Ellie Goulding.

Its not easy to spot in its location just off Grosvenor Square but look out for the large leopard just outside the front door...

The restaurant itself, while a little formal is not stuffy and the burnt orange banquettes are cosy and inviting. Unfortunately, the staff were not keen on me taking photographs and I promised it would just be the food. So apologies for the lack of interior shots.

The menu is classic and features a mix of British, European and American dishes. Its the kind of menu that could please the fussiest eater.

The Caprice restaurants never fail to offer a generous bread baskets with a good variety to choose from. My favourite is the wholemeal at baguette at Scott's.

My dining companion today was Richard, an old family friend. For his starter he chose fillet of Cornish mackerel with Violetta potatoes and horseradish cream.

The mackerel was well cooked and he was pleased to say the horseradish didn't blow his head off with heat!

I chose a mixed sashimi with wasabi vinaigrette. One of my favourites!

My raw fish dish was both beautifully presented and perfectly executed.

For main course, Richard chose a hearty spaghetti and meatballs.

Ok, its not the prettiest of dishes but he proclaimed it the best spaghetti and meatballs he'd ever had!

I chose griddled prawns with padron peppers and chimichurri, a sort of Argentinian take on pesto. The prawns were perfectly cooked, but I could have done with a few more! What is it with restaurants stinging on prawns?

Restaurant 34, is a lovely classic restaurant in Mayfair, you can't fault the service or the food but there is nothing about this restaurant that will blow your mind. That said it is a totally fail safe option for anything from a business lunch to a romantic dinner.

Loved it! This place is gorgeous! The food was top quality, super delicious and well presented. The service was fabulous: our waiter was very kind , friendly and attentive. The menu is very attractive, barely stopped on just one main..but at least I know I will have to come back so I can try the rest of the delicious treats the restaurant offers. All staff we encountered was very smiley and we loved that. The food price I’d say was absolutely reasonable . For starter I had the octopus, the best I have ever eaten so far. I would only change the sauce to something that’s less heavy. My partner had the crab tart which was very yummy 🤤! For main I had the Cornish lamb rump, and again the best lamb I have ever eaten! It was so delicately cooked and well flavoured. We also tried the Monkfish chop which was very nice too ( I needed more sauce for it tho). The desserts were great and very tasty! Elegant restaurant with excellent food and friendly staff!

First I would like to start with the reservation, I couldn’t reserve online and the one answered was so unfriendly. The food was outstanding, the best orders were burrata, corn soup, duck salad for lunch. Cheesecake and donuts for dessert are a must. The service was good, but the welcoming man was not friendly.

Absolutely exquisite dining first class menu and flawless service. I visited for a friends birthday dinner in June 2023 and they had made a reservation. I found the whole experience great. The menu is varied with lots of choices for all pallets. Lots of fish meat and a great wine list. Service excellent and I highly recommend this for fine dining

The venue is wonderful for a Sunday brunch and all the little details about the seasonal decor are just beautiful. Service was great and very friendly and the food was nice too even though I’d say it’s on the pricey end for what it is (but then you partly pay for the location as well). Can highly recommend the doughnuts for desert! We had two cocktails which both tasted amazing and were really refreshing. Downside for me was definitely that it gets really busy during lunch (obviously not a surprise) but we had a table near the door and in front of the kitchen and with staff walking around there’s a lot of hustle and bustle. Overall it’s definitely a lovely place and I’d go again.

I absolutely love the location and the restaurant presentation. They definitely take care of all details from start to end during the entire experience there. I went there for lunch, and I've been welcoming by the host, who was also very friendly. We were four people, and we went first to the bar area and, after a drink at our table, were guided by a staff member. Anyway, excellent service, the food was incredibly delicious and nice looking composition. During the time at the table, we were served by a friendly waitress that gave us several recommendations about the food and details about the recipe. I def recommend this place, and I will probably go back.

Good steak house. Great lobster Mac & cheese. Decent wine selection. Great acoustics if you are there for a business meeting - you can actually hear your guests. If you are however there as a couple, the table seating is a bit tight. Much better to go as a group of 5-6.

We enjoyed our meal at Mayfair 34 very much and the service was on tip top form. The restaurant is well designed and the environment comfortable and classy with a live band playing jazz. The slight let down was the flavour of our rib eye which was slightly bland and over cooked so we couldn’t finish that. The other dishes were well executed. Please see photos.

Had a lovely meal on the terrace. It was decorated beautifully. I loved the way all the staff uniforms were coordinated with the summer decor. The bread was lovely, fresh and warm. The food was full of flavour and I really enjoyed my meal. The plating and presentation was beautiful and the labneh really brought the dish together. Can also highly recommend the “Something Tropical” cocktail. Would have liked to see some further options for vegetarian main courses although the menu does change seasonally.

The ideal Christmas themes restaurant. Really nice feel to 34, cocktails were very nice and the food was good overall. Thought it was expensive for a lunchtime, specially as we had a few drinks at the bar which I had already paid for.

We had a lovely 2022 Christmas lunch at 34 Mayfair, the Christmas decoration is stunning, food is great and quite pricey but it is worth it for great service and experience. We tried grilled tiger prawns with lime, soy and red chilli glaze for Starter, crispy duck for Salad, Rotisserie Suffolk chicken with potato and chicken gravy and Lobster mac n cheese with smoked mozzarella for main course and baked Christmas pudding fondant with Baileys custard for dessert.
