Had a great lunch in Daphne's! Food was really good and our cocktails were amazing. It is a really nice designed Italian restaurant. Highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere delicious lunch would 100% go back and recommend. Delicious seabream👌lovely staff . Very elegant setting right in the heart of Chelsea. Italian food , very reasonable price
A favourite for Italian food in London. The lobster spaghetti is delicious and so are the desserts. Service is attentive and beautiful interior.
Visited June 2013
Dined there on a Sat eve with a group of friends. The place was full & it took almost an hour until we got our starters. Food was really worth the wait though! My Vitello Tonnato first had anchovies on top but other than that it was delicious. Linguine with Crab, Chilli & Parsley was fantastic! Regular portion is generous so worth ordering a small one if you had a starter. Good cocktails & wine list, good atmosphere. Yes - will be coming back.
Caprice Holdings is one of my favourite restaurant groups, Le Caprice and The Ivy are favourites of mine. So when I heard that one of the sister restaurants in South Kensington, Daphne's, was allowing dogs into the restaurant for lunch, I called Sarah and Hilary and we arranged to meet there with the dogs one Thursday lunchtime...
Now Daphne's is an Italian restaurant that does not disappoint. The food my friend and I had was perfectly prepared, with amazing flavours and beautifully served. Italian food sometimes can be a bit dull but not at Daphne's. It is a rather fancy and sophisticated place as well.
The food and services were great.
I had the veal escalope and it was fantastic. If you want quality Italian food go to Daphne's. The staff were friendly and prompt.
Great restaurant in London. Fabulous Italian food, wonderful and attentive service. Well worth the money. We are from Canada and could not get a meal this good with wine etc for this price back home. Definitely recommend.
Superb. Really superb. Great food, elegant atmosphere and lovely service. Dependable too. A favourite.
We've made an astonishing scientific breakthrough, dear readers. Yes, that's right, your friends at The Prodigal Guide -while stumbling around life's frivolous sidelines, drunk and mostly disorderly - have chanced upon an, as yet, undiscovered - certainly
During my four-day trip to London my first restaurant visit was to “Daphne’s” of whose reputation I had heard . No need to say, we had booked a table in advance knowing that going there without a reservation was out of the question. My experience there proved to go far beyond my expectations! With exquisite dishes within a romantic atmosphere, my friends and I had a splendid evening .
“Daphne’s” is an elite, ritzy restaurant in London’s South Kensington district.
With its soft caramel coloured diffused lighting and chic ambiance it is one of the haunts of many celebrities. The highlight feature of this place is naturally the dishes it serves.
The highly professionel staff serve the most appetizing , sumptuous and exotic dishes of classic Italian cuisine in an overwhelming ambiance.
All the dishes are top class quality: the pizzas, both the classic and covered types prepared in front of us, spaghetti dishes, risotto types and the fried courgette sticks dipped in Parmesan cheese- a dish I never had enough of -, they are all to die for.
But before tasting these heavenly dishes, my humble recommendation is to order one of the sea food appetizers. Especially the Ravioli with crayfish and courgette is well-known. The wines are selected to go with the dishes served. The prices are reasonable compared to the dishes.
“Daphne’s” is a restaurant with a unique romantic atmosphere where you can be sure to
taste most savoury and mouthwatering dishes and have a delightful time . It ‘s enchanting ambiance is almost thrilling.
“Daphne’s” is located at Bromton Cross, between Chelsa and South Kensington.
Its location is ideal for having lunch after a visit to Royal Albert Hall, Science Museum, Natural Museum, Royal Court or after shopping at Knightsbridge and Kings Road.

I can't really find fault in this place; being picky, I'd say the menu is quite small and not very veggie friendly. On a Friday night, we were able to get a table for two and enjoy some fantastic, whacky cocktails whilst listening to a live pianist (although where he was hiding, I've no idea!). The service really hit a good level of attentive without being interfering; we were brought a basket of interesting breads, as well as a gluten free basket when asked. The menu is largely meat and fish-based, with some novelties such as St Daniele and a selection of truffle dishes. The ambience is lovely; it feels warm and homely, with old-fashioned décor, marble tables and dim lighting. Clientele consist of older (cute?) couples and families who are comfortable with each other, but still have enough money to splash out on a jolly good dinner together. Our waiter was charming and extremely concerned with how much we enjoyed our meal, to the point I was worried he might break out into a cold sweat. We skipped appetisers and went straight for chicken Milanese with a well-dressed rocket salad, and some absolutely beautiful venison with a perfectly pink middle and served alongside creamy pesto mash- divine. The side of broccoli was pretty average, and the zucchini fries- deepfried but the healthier option to chips, were novel and moreish. We didn't look at the dessert menu but this is a great restaurant with a sense of grandeur that would be a highly suitable date location, if a little bit of an investment.I would say that you would be looking at around £50 per person for drinks, starter and main. It ain't cheap and it definitely doesn't feel it.
I'm a big fan. Very good food and nice atmosphere, particularly in summer as the doors are open and you get a nice breeze into the restaurant - feels like the 'good life' - a European gettaway in London.
I had the lunch menu once which was great value too - around £20 for 3 courses - well worth it!
What a beautiful place and what was these fried zucchini!!! Omg the best that I have ever tasted! I’m a big fan and I have to say that was the best ones! Anyway the food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly! I will visit for sure this place again!
Had a delicious meal with starters prawns with chilli and garlic and salmon carpaccio, main was spaghetti with crab and chilli and dessert was a peach stafagllione.. All absolutely amazing! Service was impeccable and the atmosphere was lively.. Highly recommend it.. Will definitely come again and try different dishes.
The elegant ambiance, authentic Italian cuisine, beautiful interiors and impeccable service make it a must-visit for a special night out. Octopus and pasta were delicious.
This is a great Italian restaurant in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea. It’s perfect for a special occasion. The service was phenomenally good. As in finish your drink and be offered a top up within seconds, if it hasn’t been offered already. The food was all delicious. I would have preferred for my lamb to be slightly less done, but all in all it was still a great meal.
Coming not for a first time, this is a place where you wish to come back to taste new dishes, enjoy the food till last piece, to meet the extremely caring staff and feel that peaceful atmosphere. The food is served at its best and top quality standard. Absolutely in love with this place and highly recommend to anybody
This has been an institution for as long as I remember. Back in the day when the benefits of banking (pre credit crash) would be exploited via client entertaining, we spent many long nights here. Still one of the best places for authentic Italian food and not ridiculously expensive.
Only sore point was the waitress that was clearly upset when I informed her that I didn't order sparkling water. Less attitude and an apology would have been nice! Food is great but do not expect impeccable service. Waitresses were not giving off "happy vibes".
Such a shame really as this has always been an all time fav.
Celebrated our anniversary here —
Authentic Italian without question. Gamberoni king prawns was a delicious first palette starter; pasta was cooked perfectly Al denté, crab linguine had a lovely balance with spices and herbs, not overpowering in taste. Homemade tiramisu is a must-try.
Happened to stumble upon a Saturday lunch reservation. Jumped at the opportunity. The food was truly delicious. The scallops were tender, and the pastas were seasoned perfectly.
I could not pick a favourite pasta. Each one stood out to me in it's own way. The lobster pasta also had a lot of meat in it which I was happy about. I felt like I was getting my moneys worth.
The interior is beautiful and well thought out. If you're lucky you can be seated in a room with stained mirrors either side which give it a much more open feel. Service was awesome too.
It's pricey for pasta but I think if you can get a reservation for a special occasion its definitely worth it.
A fantastic place to eat with food that's worth the price tag. Friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere. It gets busy for dinner so make sure to book a reservation ahead of time! The best thing I had here was the octopus carpaccio, you have to try it if you go here! Cocktails here are also wonderful, the passion fruit spritz was to die for.
Carpaccio and pasta were delicious but not much difference between small and big pasta sizes. So definitely take into consideration when choosing 👀
Having dined at Daphne’s over the years I would say that on this occasion, overall, the food was good, the service was average, and the ambiance was excellent as always. On a side note, I would say that 13.5% for gratuity is a bit on the high side especially considering that the service was average. As for my choices, the spaghetti with lobster was a 5 out 5, tiramisu 5 out of five and the Veal Milanese was a 3.5 out of 5. What I would describe as a bit tasteless.
One of my favourite restaurants in London. The staff are all extremely attentive and friendly. The design of the restaurant is superb and the service is top notch! Magnificent food and wonderful atmosphere. Recommend to anyone looking for an enjoyable meal. Highly impressive!!
The place was beautiful, the service was good, the waitresses were very professionnel, maybe a bit too much. I liked my salad and my dessert. The only negative thing, we waited a long time our food
This was my second time at Daphne’s.
I highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best in london.
The prawn spaghetti is a solid 10/10.
This place is absolutely excellent. I came here as part of a wedding reception, and I can’t recommend this place enough. Firstly, the place is beautifully decorated. The staff are also incredibly gracious and friendly, and go out of their way to accommodate you if you can’t have certain food items. The food itself was absolutely delicious. In particular the fish and cheesecake is amazing. I would definitely come here again.
