We tried the Taste of Hakkasan menu and it was a great choice. The dim sum is amazing. I'd say order it twice instead of sharing. The salad was okay, but the dim sum was way better. For the main dishes, we had beef and pork. Both were really good and had a tasty sauce. It was nice to have the real deal that other places try but can't quite get right. The rice was also great. You get a pot of rice and some asparagus, but I wish there was more rice. A couple of things to know: the restaurant is in a basement and you have to go down a kind of sketchy alley to find it. At first, I thought we were lost until I saw the menu on the wall. Inside, it's really dark. Each table has a bright light, but the rest is dark. The waiters wear dark clothes and surprised me a couple of times.

Haven't been for a while. The original London venue in Hanway Place. My favourite restaurant in London by far. The staff are lovely and very attentive. They are on hand as and when you need them, but let you enjoy the experience without being in the way. The food is out of this world, perfectly balanced flavours, textures and sauces. The atmosphere is lively but you can still have a perfect conversation at your table without hearing anyone sat close by. My most highly recommended restaurant in London. Our dinner and experience for 3 was exceptional! Thank you Hakkasan

Super fancy but the money is worth it. Usually for expensive restaurants you get small portions but here I was stuffed. You can tell its very high quality and the food is phenomenonal i am extremely pleased. I recommend the supreme dim sum.

Yesterday (11/10/23) was my first visit to Hakkasan Hanway Place. My Partner I went there for dinner to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. The staff were warm, professional, attentive and engaging. The Service was efficient & organised. The food was delicious on every level and the portions were surprisingly enough. The receptionist was welcoming, friendly and professional I would most definitely be coming back here again to celebrate something special and will recommend for friends and family.

A culinary experience to have, at least once, unless budget is no matter to you. Beautiful intimate venue, very dark ambiance creates a separation between tables making you feel like you're alone in there although it gets busy. Atmosphere prone to conversation without deafening music. Now the food, if you're going to Hakkasan, might as well go big or go home, try one of the selection of tasting menus varying from £78 to £208 per person. We went for the Pearl menu. The food arrived quickly with barely any time between dishes. Presentation was spectacular and the food was innovative and delicious. Star of the show for me was the roasted silver cod with a sumptuous sauce that reminded me of beurre blanc, fish cooked to perfection with a sauce that took the dish to a superior level of fusion. An expensive but unforgettable experience. Once in a lifetime 🙌🏻 One minor hiccup, which I hope will be rectified, is that we were charged for an additional bottle of wine which we never ordered nor drank.

Really enjoyed the food and service here. More on the pricey side to dine in, however I would definitely recommend it as it is certainly worth what you pay. There is limited to no parking outside so you will need to seek parking if you are not travelling via public transport. The restaurant was clean and it has a dark setting inside.

It’s been a while since my last visit at Hakkasan and that won’t happen again as I’ve really enjoyed the dinning experience I’ll actually start with the service, very attentive but probably more caring than attentive, it did look like some of the staff just take pride in their job and it radiates from them when they’re providing the service The food is a state of art, not just in terms of the presentation but also from a texture and taste It’s probably fair to also call out their cocktails, those are pure joy - I had a couple and they were excellent I’ll state the obvious, don’t expect a meal at Hakkasan to be cheap, there’s a price to pay but it’s a fair price for this type of quality restaurant I’ll end with famous words, I’ll be back

Went here early Sunday evening just in time for the 'Taste of Hakkasan' set menu experience. 3 course menu with a glass of champagne or cocktail. Although the dishes seemed quite small, they were very tasty and filling. Outside of the various set menus, the A la carte can be quite expensive. Quite darkly light, low background music, service a tad slow. Great doorman, very professional and helpful. Still recommend for a cool dining experience with friends or a date night. Enjoy🍸

Updated review (from 5 years ago). Excellent food and drinks as expected. The dark light ambience with good background music makes this place what it is known for. Service was bit of a let down however. Felt very rushed between courses (went for Plum Blossom set menu). Didn't feel like we had enough time to relax and enjoy our experience. Overall we felt like just a number to get in and out the door - no personal touch you'd expect from this type of establishment. Stand out dishes include the dim sum, golden fried crab and roast chicken in satay sauce. Cocktails were excellent - Heritage Manhattan was amazing (not cheap). Nice touch with additional dessert as we mentioned it was for a special occasion.

Delicious! The food was very good and the service as well. More of a party vibe with nice music and food. We took the second tasting menu and were surprised by the amount of food. Everything was good except the veal chops they were gristle and the octopus was alright. But overall great experience. Thanks! Hi

We ordered the set menu and everything was lovely. The meat had a full, distinctive taste, all the veggies perfectly complimented the dishes and the dessert was not too sweet so a perfect ending to the meal! I will definitely return to try more!

The food was out of this world. Truly spectacular. And the restaurant itself is beautiful with great atmosphere. The service is friendly but could definitely be more polished in a place like that. We asked our waitress to bring wine with the main course and she only brought it halfway through our meal. Also she didn't check on us proactively, we had to chase and finally stopped coming all together, someone else stepped in. That definitely could have been done more smoothly.

This is definitely one of the most aesthetic restaurants in london and fantastic place to take someone on a date! The food is well presented and good portions to share. The cocktails were also very very nice with a wide range to choose from. The only negative point I have is the staff lacked a lot of motivation, and for the first time I considered removing the service charge. They wasn’t rude at any point but I just felt as if they was very scripted and unenthusiastic, but this is usually due to management unfortunately!

Pricy, but the dishes wet had at least were with it. Definitely elevated above the majority of China town establishments. Coupled with a beautiful interior and incredibly attentive staff, I feel they can just about get away with their pricing. Highlights were the Peking duck, sesame prawn toast ( not something we ever order butt you won't be disappointed!) And the aubergine dish
