Lovely lovely place. I m not the right judge to tell you the fish and chips is the best, because truly if was my first, but to my best knowledge I can review my plate - fish (cod) was fresh, perfectly fried, crispy without being soggy, nicely flaky and lovely. Fries could have been better, but who cares, the star of the plate is the fish.
What is above and beyond is the servis - I literally got my plate on table in less than 5 minutes from ordering, lovely steaming hot and fresh. When leaving , they offered to pack my leftovers to take away and even gave me a tea when they heard my scratchy voice from illness - lovely kind people.
Fully recommend, honestly lovely place.
Good fresh fish (I got the cod). Not too greasy and cooked well. Service was great and there was plenty of seating inside and outside. Chicken sandwich also very good if you’re not a fan of fish. Wish they had a better fan as it was a little hot (but so is all of London right now). Very nice servers.
As an American I had no way of telling if this was truly “authentic” fish and chips, but this place was recommended on several sites. First, they do accept credit cards (I saw many reviews that mentioned cash only). The portion size was huge and the food was cooked to order. It was hot and fresh!
The most delicious fish and chips I ate in London!! The service was fast and the staff was attentive. See you again for sure
The best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten in this city. The place’s owner has served us a very fresh half-haddock and hosted us very kindly. Highly recommended.
Great, honest, family-run business. We came as a large group and had a small hiccup with seating, but the owner sorted everything out very quickly. Classic fish and chips too - can't complain. Will come back again.
The fish itself is absolutely well cooked. It is a shame that the fries did not get the same love. They are not hot, not crispy. So for the fried cod itself is 5/5 for us but the fries is a maximum 3 only.
great fish and chips for a fair price.
the fish and chips taste pretty good, the portion is generous, the service is good, and the atmosphere inside is cool.
i can recommend the place if you want to try the English national dish.
Perfect batter and fresh fish… I’m a haddock person but the cod was sooooo good! Chips could do with a little colour but I have a feeling it’s because the oil was fresh as it was rather tasty! Oh and great mushy peas too.
The fish is really fresh n prepare on the spot. It’s fry golden brown n taste so good w the tarta sauce. This place is abit small n the staffs are all so kind n friendly
Great place, there was no space we were 3 and they put a lil table outside. We all had the cod very fresh with a crispy batter but yet moist and tastefull in the inside. Great and fast service.
All 4 of us had the Cod. For 12.50 each, it seemed to be a great value based on the location. The service was pleasant and the ambiance is touristy but quaint. The fish was fresh and perfectly prepared. The batter was light and crispy. The chips could have stood to be in the fryer an extra minute, but that is just my personal taste. If we are ever back in the area, we will return for sure.
Simple fish and chips at the edge of the hustle and bustle. Good prices for value delivered, but most important is the fish is excellent. Fried fresh to order and lightly battered it was nearly perfect. I’d only 4* the chips as I like mine crispier, but that’s a preference. The wine options are limited, but the Pinot Grigio was nice and quaffable.
One of the best fish and chips stands hands down. We walked into this restaurant after a long day of walking around London and just wanted a nice dinner. The restaurant was packed both inside and outside however the owners saw my sons and I and actually brought out a new table for us and set it up outside. Very awesome service!
The fish and chips are very fresh and taste great. A must visit spot.
Staff is so friendly! Food is amazing. Generous portion too. I was full and satisfied. I recommend this restaurant to everyone
I just had my dinner there and the food was really good and the service was extraordinary! I got to meet “Ben” the actual owner and he is such a lovely gentleman. I hope he sees my comment on here! Ben we’ll see each other soon!
Stopped in here after watching a show in the west end. They were actually closing but kindly let me and my husband order and told us to take a seat. We ordered sausage and chips each and it was cooked fresh for us. Staff were very polite.
You get very generous portions and I have to admit the chips were the best I've ever had. Would definitely recommend a visit here.
Good and cheap fish and chips, served in a quite big portion.
