This one was recommended by a Friend and in all fairness didn't disappoint.Very good kebabs and Chicken Kofta was nicely cooked and found it to be really good value for money and would highly recommend this small Turkish restaurant .
I have been enjoying great Turkish cuisine at the Lale for over 30 years. I have tried kebabs in many countries and in many places in the UK but none compare with Lale. if you want great food, friendly staff and quick service and at a very reasonable cost, try the Lale, High Street Eltham.
Been visiting this place for the last three years. Their doner is one of the best in London, made in house daily. They use only lamb , and the right amount of seasoning. Highly recommend! Also get their Adana with spicy sauce.
The food was really good. The service was also good. However, we had to wait for one hour for main course was a bit disappointed. We will go back next time through as the food was good.
Best kebabs in London full stop. Pity the restaurant is no longer open as that was a must visit on a monthly basis. People on here leaving one stars because their online orders are refused should note the shop was closed in August for holidays as says on their window and is now temporarily closed due to unforeseen circumstances also as says on their window. Easily the best doner Kebabs south of the river. This is one of the last places to sell truly authentic Cypriot style Kebabs. This place is not about quantity like other kebab shops; this place is ALL about the quality. Highly recommended.

Best Kebab in Eltham.... love it here. Really nice lamb in the kebabs, not too greasy and loads of flavour. Nice fresh salad. Good service, always busy because everyone that goes here is happy. Sit down restaurant is nice too, nice staff and nice atmosphere.
Worth every penny, I challenge you to find a fresher or tastier kebab. As others have said, not too greasy, tonnes of flavour and prepared with obvious love. Be back in soon ⚡
By far the best Turkish food you will eat.
The meat they use for the kebab is not that disgusting generic crap all other kebab shops use. They make their own spits and the difference is amazing.

Myself and my family have been customers of Lale for over 20 years...by far the best Turkish food I have ever eaten. The kebabs are to die for as is all the food on the menu in the restaurant. Owners and staff are lovely people, friendly, extremely welcoming and accommodating. If I could give more stars I would!!

Food not absolutely out of this world, but still really good quality and an outstanding menu selection. For what it is it gets a well deserved 5 stars. Portion size is huge. The doner is fantastic ASC are the lamb chops. The mixed meze starter is huge and while proper old school in selections and presentation is good wholesome food. The salads are all great. Well seasoned, fresh and tasty.
Service is second to none. Seriously. Friendly, professional, not too close and not to far away. Made you feel special. Exactly what you want. We were welcomed by EVERY member of staff on the way in and out, and thanked by the owner on the way out. It wasn't sanctimonious, just really friendly and appreciative of our custom. You don't see enough of this any more.
Décor isn't up to much - proper 1970s styling that I think has been there since the 70s. Still, tables are at a good height, chairs are perfectly comfortable for an extended meal. Tables a bit too close together, but not terrible and well laid out to avoid most bumps.
The whole place is a bit run down and so you wouldn't pick it for a special event. That's a real shame because if you updated the plating, the decor, the general ambience... they could charge much much more.
Until then, the place is my secret kebab house :)
Fantastic food be it take away or eat in. Myself, family and friends have been going there for years. Staff and owners very nice and friendly. I recommend this place to anyone.
Good restaurant; does not serve tea or ayran. Watch out when they ask if you want your food hot; it may be really hot/spicy. Also, the chef and his son are very friendly

Delicious kebab, the lamb shish was tender and full of flavour. Only niggles are the portion size are on the smaller side and salad was slightly lacking
