Superb restaurant. Attentive service, small enough to feel intimate and not so small that you feel claustrophobic. Well worth going to. The lemon sorbet was incredible!

***Update***
Went a second time, the food was not as good this time around. Adjusted down to 4/5 from 4.5/5.

We had loved their sister restaurant Zoilo and thought Casa Malevo would be as good but the menu seemed less creative and the only dish that we loved was the provoleta which is gooey melted provolone cheese in a little pan in the oven. The steaks were ok and the dulce de leche fell a bit flat.....

For two entrees, a chunk of steak and a side, the meal came to £45 including tips. I really enjoyed my dining experience at Casa Malevo. The interior has a lovely warm cosy feel and the friendly efficient service was much appreciated. I really loved the sweetbreads with the acidic sauce, and a dash of lemon, just improved the taste tenfold. Once again, acidity played a key part in the Argentinian cuisine with two lovely sauces combing superbly with my steak. The chimmi churri was the best of the lot and the potato and artichoke gratin paired well, though was over salted. I was really full and disappointed I couldn’t squeeze in dessert. I really enjoyed the Argentinian cuisine tonight. A quality experience.

The menu here is quite simple and our menu took us on a journey through the most popular dishes like grilled Provolone cheese, empanadas and chorizo. The grilled cheese was served in a hot pan which it seems is a

Casa Malevo would be a brilliant choice for a romantic night out. The dining area is intimate and dimly lit with brick walls that create an almost rustic-y kinda vibe. The wine here is truly brilliant! Their food is also good but at times inconsistent. Service is impeccable.

Great recommendation/find in London – not too far from Paddington, so we worked dinner into our day en route back to the station.

Staff and service are 10/10, and the food lives up to this standard too. A little pricey, as you find with London places, but it’s actually value for money – if you dont mind spending a little more on quality, then you’ll do well to book a table here.

My tip: Sirloin, medium rare. - and definitely make a reservation beforehand.

I’ll definitely be back!

Casa Malevo, a restaurant serving Argentinian food, just off Edgware Road, serves excellent food and a good variety of Malbec...
I had never had Argentinian food or wine before going to this restaurant and now I will try anything as long as it has chorizo and chimichurri in it!!
We started with the chicken empanadas (chicken, green peppers and cumin) and the chorizo on toast.... The chorizo (perfectly charred and grilled) sat on a thick piece of grilled toast which had been spread with a sweet onion jam (white and sweet, not caramelised) The whole thing was then sprinkled with micro greens...This was delicious. ..one of the best starters I've ever had...The flavour and texture combination was unbelievable! The charred and juicy pork sausage complemented the soft, sweet onion paste, the crunchy toast and the crunchy greens... I am salivating just remembering this :)
I had the Chimichurri beef burger with potato and leek gratin on the side, and, my partner, going vegetarian for the day, had the ricotta, green peas and mint ravioli for our main course. ..We also had a carafe of Los Haroldos Malbec Rose 2012, which was light, fruity and paired well with our food. The service was excellent without being intrusive...
Even though the mains were good.... just go there for the chorizo, its spectacular!! Have it twice. ..

If you like steak and good service, this is definitely a place to try - you'll be hooked. Tried it on a recommendation. Espresso Martinis - top class. Beers - good selection. Steak - fabulous. Chips - we needed extra, so good.

Excellent food. We had Fillet, Sirloin & Ribeyes, steamed vegetables, mushrooms & chips. 2 bottles of wine, plus some port and deserts.. everything was great. Service was also very good. My only negative point is that the tables are sticky and really need a thorough clean. You lift your wine glass and it’s stuck the the table- not ideal. In fact, some crisp linen tablecloths would raise the experience to 5*

Cosy restaurant with great service & some of the best steaks amongst Argentinian restaurants! Our table had the rib eyes & fillets medium rare with seasonal vegetables followed by 2 bottles of fabulous red wines & desserts. A fab evening with great memories of great food & company. Would highly recommend this Argentinian steak restaurant anytime !

This is by far one of the best Argentinian steakhouses in London. It was highly recommended by an Argentinian friend and it did not disappoint! They also have good selection of Argentinian wine. The restaurant has a simple rustic design, unassuming and yet elegant. Staff are friendly, relaxed but they know what they were doing. Food 8.5/10, ambience 8/10, service 8/10, value for money 8/10.

This was a brilliant restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely with appropriately dim lights and small, but not cramped seating. Service was quick, knowledgeable and very accommodating (asked about dietary restrictions). The steak was a little underwhelming for the price as it did not come with a side or a sauce, but the sea bass with asparagus and escabeche sauce was delicious. So delicious we ordered extra sauce to go with the steak. The dessert was the perfect end to am overall fantastic meal. We didn't even have time to take pictures! I would absolutely return.

My go to place for steak and I have been to a lot of steakhouses in London. Great atmosphere, attentive and friendly service. Excellent wine selection, I have discovered my love for Argentinian wines thanks to this place. Malevo steak sharing selection is impeccable and a must try. I absolutely adore this place, the staff, chef and everything else !

A lovely restaurant with some exceptional choices. The steaks we had (ribeye and fillet) were all amazing and melted in our mouths at medium rare. The staff were also very friendly, especially the soft spoken barman who made a lovely and smooth Old Fashioned.

I have had almost every cut of steak there is. From Japanese waigu too flank steak from a cow in Iceland. From Casa Malevo I had the 250gr fillet cooked to medium rare and it was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The fillet didn't bleed at all when I cut into it. And was cooked to perfection. 5 out of 5 stars. Nice place, friendly service and some of the best steaks I have ever eaten.

Goodness, the food here is amazing! We just popped in for a bite before a concert at Hyde Park so it was quiet (6.30pm) but the staff were lovely and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the focaccia, empanadas and the provolone cheese dish.

This restaurant is down the road from me. Besides the service always being great, the food is absolutely exquisite too. My fillet steak (which I like blue) has always been perfect, just so nicely seared on the outside. All the sides are great too, and so many nice wines too choose from. Also love just walking over to sit outside the restaurant for a glass of wine or an Aperol!

It's not cheap, but the food was great, although simple. For the price I was expecting something more elaborated. The meat was very tasty and well cooked. Service was great.

Food was ok, service ok, but thats all. Not great value for money, but small issues dealt with well. I hope another night they might impress as the potential is there, so would be tempted back to try again cosy and nice atmosphere, staff friendly. an interesting wine list, not cheap but not OTT. I'm hopeful they can do better.... PS thanks for your comment, and an email will be coming over in the next few days when I hope I can put some detailed constructive comments to you, the 4* indicates the promise and potential ...

Had a nice dinner on our first night in London, nice patio in back that was very pleasant to sit in. The service was outstanding and everyone was pleasant. We got the empanada samplers and they were all very good nice and flavorful.
