If you ask me where should we go for dinner, never would I ever think of Bank at all. If anything, my day job office is near Bank and I couldn’t wait to get out of the area! But with the hype for Brigadiers – a sleek modern Indian barbecue restaurant, has got us making an exception. As a sister restaurant to Trishna, another upscale Indian restaurant in London, Brigadiers is all about that chic sophistication. It is also run by the very same people running high profile restaurants like Gymkhana and Hoppers.
Located in "the City", Brigadiers is a nice spacious Indian Restaurant. Very popular among my office colleagues. We went for lunch. Its a bit expensive being an Indian restaurant but the food is good there. Service too is decent. Ambience wise nothing outstanding, just simple indoor sitting. Must try for Indian food lovers if there is no budget constraint.
Lovely high end Indian cuisine. The Lamb was mouthwatering and oozing with flavours.
Highly recommend the Lamb ribeye kebab skewers.
Our waiter chose a great selection of dishes for us and he was spot on. Thank you. In addition he surprised us with a lovely little Birthday desert.
Great service although the hostesses where not too accommodating when we asked to be moved inside.
Great spot for authentic Indian food in London! This was our second time at the restaurant and it did not disappoint. The chicken tikka butter masala was our favourite, it was so flavourful. The service and quick and helpful with our order as we were a large group. The atmosphere is lively and fun. Will definitely be back again!
The sizzling mixed grill and cheese naan from the bread basket were so good. The scallops were also amazing. The service was slightly slow towards the end, the whiskey pairings didn't come with the desserts - we had to wait for quite a while and chased twice
Finally visited Brigadier’s, the restaurant has that nostalgic post imperial decor done to a very high standard. The staff are very friendly and the food as expected to a very high standard. The portion sizes are very generous and you most likely could share one a starter, one main, one side between two people - keep this in mind as this restaurant is very expensive - with their mixed sizzler coming in at £70 for one portion. Food & drinks prices are what you expect in a high end restaurant and they command Mayfair level pricing. The overall experience was great. Definitely a place to go for a special meal.
Absolutely outstanding!! I was dinning alone and there the opportunity to sit at the bar was a welcome one. The service from the staff was impeccable as was the food. Butter Chicken Wings Beef Short Rib and Chilli Cheese Naan. Dishes I’d not seen before in an Indian restaurant and gosh they were good. Highly highly recommended this place.
An incredible Indian spot - from the mouthwatering kebabs to the rich curries, every dish bursts with authentic flavors. The vibrant atmosphere and attentive service add to the overall charm. A must-visit if you want really tasty Indian.
Plus, on the weekend, as it’s on the edge of the City, it’s busy but not as insane as spots in central london.
Absolutely next level Indian grub. I should probably say modern Indian but it’s traditional done in a unique way. Quite something - I’d go as far as to say was one of the best Indian meals I’ve had in a long while. Try the skewers, seekh kebabs and biryani.
Food is superb but your pocket will feel it. We ordered the vegetarian sizzler - a medley of marinated tandoori vegetables and it is brought to your table - sizzling! Fella had guinea fowl chunky kebabs, which got the nod of approval Finished off with a gluten and lacto free mango and rose crème brûlée - wow!
Gluten free beer and great service too.
Brigadiers is a top-notch Indian BBQ spot! Loved their BBQ Butter Chicken Wings and the Tandoori Lamb Chops were easily the best I've had in London. The Wagyu Kati roll is incredible too. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel really welcome. The place has a great vibe with comfy seats and a cool design. Definitely a must-visit!"
The service is absolutely amazing, our waiter Jay took care of us and made us feel welcome! The food is incredibly delicious and excellent quality and the atmosphere is magic! Everyone has been so friendly and kind. I suggest trying prawn biryani and the bread is so fresh and tasty!
Everything we ordered was 10/10. The cheese and onion Bhajis were incredible. We had to order 3 potions of lamb chops because there were so good as well.
Amazing food and cocktails and very cool atmosphere. We shared poppadoms and 4 starters which was too much food for two people who had a late lunch! But really yummy and flavourful. Some dishes were really spicy but another dish was mild and with yogurt and it was a really nice balance!
Tasty Grill-Style Indian restaurant with large plates
Brigadiers is located in the Bloomberg Arcade in a fairly large venue. They offer a variety of dishes of which a number of the classic Indian plates. Options are very meat oriented with skewers and grilled pieces.
We tried several dishes and I surely can recommend the butter chicken, the lamb skewers and the generous bread basket. I would however stay away from the mini burgers plates (we didn't know the meaning of the Indian name and ended up with an unwanted plate).
The portions are large, it is therefore best to share a starter and have 2 mains including rice and basket for 2 persons.
Overall the dinner was a good experience albeit slightly pricey (60£ pp incl. one cocktail). The place seems more appropriate for larger tables where you would share several plates. Nothing particular to note on the service.
We chose this place because of its great reviews and multiple friends’ recommendations.
The food was absolutely delicious and probably some of the best Indian in London! We particularly enjoyed the Chaat, the Veggie sizzlers and the Paneer Tikka Masala. The last dish was not on the menu, but the waiter proactively offered it to us (so nice!).
The service was great and all our questions about the menu were answered.
The drinks were alright but my friend chose a cocktail that looked like a glass of water (no garnish at all) and was extremely strong.
The atmosphere is the only negative point: while the interior style is pleasing and high-end, there are screens everywhere that show cricket (or some other sport) and that gives it a sports bar vibe. On top is was very loud so we had to scream at each other. They also sell towers of beer for tables - another sports bar feature.
We didn’t mind too much, but this was very unexpected.
It was my second visit there, because nothing else around was open and this time it was very positive. I was there with my Indian friend and he loved their dishes. The chicken was perfectly cooked.
Their naan bread was amazing! It was one of the best I've ever had. Super soft and not chewy. Their have multiple different types of naan in their bread basket. The one with cheese is especially good.
I just didn't like how loud music was playing there. I could barely hear my friends.
We went here for our Anniversary dinner and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was nice, music in the background but not over powering so you could go for a nice dinner and have a conversation. Food was really nice, we had a variety of veg and non veg dishes. My favourite was the lasooni chicken tikka skewer and my husband loved the goat shoulder with the laacha paratha.
A special thanks to our server Amidu who was very friendly, professional and attentive
Really good food here at this upmarket Indian eatery.
Service is very good and the food is lovely.
Came here with colleagues for dinner and we really enjoyed the food.
I ordered the goat tikki bun kebabs as a starter, which were lovely.
Then got a tawa prawn biryani, which was huge (I couldn’t finish it) and also some masala chips which were very nice.
Not cheap and cheerful at £30 for a biryani but certainly a nice place to come and treat yourself.
Quite possibly the BEST INDIAN FOOD —agreed by my entire family. We went twice in a week, because we couldn’t get enough of the bone marrow briyani. The tikka masala, lamb chops curry and spicy naan were top notch. The receptionist & service staff are all amazing and welcoming, ironically, it was the manager that serve our dishes without a word lol. The 2nd time, we were served by a lady with mohawk who gave the best recommendations and was really attentive to our big group. Overall, the best meal we had in London!
Our BEST Indian meal till date since we moved to UK! Classic vibe, truly authentic food & awesome service! Definitely coming back!
