I visited this place as I had heard alot about their lobster rolls. It's was one of the best things I had. It was very tasty and I frequently visit this place whenever I crave for lobster. I have heard some positive reviews about their whole lobsters. Surely going to try that one next time.
This place is really one of my favorites. Sometimes I pass by just to have the Lobster croquettes and the Lobster roll with a pint of pale ale. It’s never disappointing. Always fulfilling and satisfying. Their combo is also as good if you feel like having a burger and some lobster.

Always order their Original Roll (since I found the lobster variants is quite big, unless you plan to share it with others it is better to go for the Original Roll). The lobster is soft and melt in your mouth, combined with the Japanese mayo sauce - it is just perfect! For a £20 meal, it is just worth the price!

Took mum here in her first night in London. She loved it! The waitress was super knowledgeable and gave us the best recommendations (try the Leicester Square special) and the food came out relatively quickly. My lobster roll was probably the best lobster I’ve ever had (even though it was served chilled). The truffle fries were super good too but if I were to come back, I reckon I’d go straight for a whole lobster

I will start my post by a recommendation I had from a friend to try this lovely place during my trip to London. Actually, I will not recommend, instead I will say this place is a must.
Friendly staff, very helpful and always smiling which make you comfort during your eating experience.
We started with the croquettes starters which were so delicious. And as a main platter we got the BL combo. The burger was so juicy, and the Lobster which was advised by the waiter to have half grilled half steamed is one of the most deliciousss here.

Back then, it was so much easier for people with difficulties to choose as the menu was limited to burger or lobster, grilled or steamed. Superb food and service. Had the Beef and Lobster burger. Loved how the taste of beef and lobster could blend well. Apart from that the service was excellent. So attentive and friendly that makes me wanna go there again. Slightly dark for family gatherings but good for hang out with friends.

Large group, went there for lunch on Wednesday. Not crowded. I ordered veggie burger. Both the burger and fries were amazing. Also had a mocktail which was nice. They did make us sit for a while to pay and leave.

Choosing the menu is such a painful process, you don’t get much option but they are all tempting. I ended up with their lobster roll and that was not disappointing per se. No complaints, nothing less than amazed and happy with the food and service.

One of the best meals you will EVER have in London! Burger & Lobster have various locations around London. We visited the soho branch which has beyond amazing food, entertaining & super friendly bartenders, great music and a super happy vibe. We ordered lots of cocktails, the bartenders were happy to make whatever we wanted even if they had never heard of it before. The food is heavenly, from the fries to the lobster roll, everything was so delicious and simply perfect. The salad with the lobster roll was outstanding, the dressing was like just, WOW. Our bartender was so sweet, we just wish we could remember her name, she was lovely.
TIP: Do order the Lobster roll - you will think you have died and gone to heaven and probably end up ordering 2!! 🦐
Great service, loved the branding and presentation of our food. The burger was spot on, juicy, and I absolutely loved the pickled onions added to it. The sauce was great too. But the fries were a bit undercooked.. didn't stop me from eating them all!

We have struggled to find decent food in the area but burger and lobster on Dean st definitely delivers! I would recommend making a reservation in advance if possible...this place was absolutely packed at 6pm on a Saturday night and we had about a 45 minute wait for a table. The lobster was tender and juicy and the sauce it came with was really nice. The burgers were tasty and cooked well. If you're in the area I would highly recommend this place...the food is tasty, the service is great and the restaurant itself has a great vibe.

Born in 2011 in an Irish pub in Mayfair, Burger & Lobster focuses on perfecting the craft of just one or two main ingredients. I’d read about it on so many London food blogs, I just had to try for myself.
One of the must visit places for any lobster lover.
I went there with my flatmates over the weekend. We had to wait about 20-25 minutes before finally getting a table. We each ordered a whole lobster. It comes along with fries and sauce. The lobster was tender and juicy. Made us all a fan of lobsters and this place.

Managed to overcome the challenge of getting a table (no reservations unless you're 6-10 ppl) by getting there at 5:30 pm on a Monday - got a table straight away. Had my lobster steamed and finished off in the grill and enjoyed it very much. Seriously tasty fries - don't ignore them! Good service, good value for money, very low key and relaxed setting. The only trouble was +30C outside and their AC out of order what made this a very quick meal.
I wouldn't eat a burger there as £20 for a burger is way to much in my opinion but the lobster is definitely worth it.
If you're craving some decent lobster, look no more. Simple menu but deliciously done. I ordered the original lobster half steamed and half grilled! It's easy to eat as you just use this tool to dig out the meat from their claw. Not too messy.
Or if you are lazy, get a lobster roll (brioche bun!)
They also have regular burgers so that your non lobster eating friends can join.
Their drinks menu is quite versatile, from hot toddies to cocktails. Be sure to check out the cocktail to share (served in a giant bowl) and quite delicious.

Good concept, at least original. I never heard of a burger and lobster place before. I decided to try the 1.5 lbs lobster and ordered a half portion grilled and another boiled. The lobster was very fresh and fleshy so really enjoyable and along with that i got fries and a side salad.
I was not that hungry at the time so it was enough for me but on any other day i would've needed to add a burger to the order.

Great ambiance and staff very friendly. I've order a burger and Lobster combo and really loved the burger, very tasty, but the lobster disappointed me a little bit. It was the first time I've mingled this two foods and actually they work pretty well together. I would definitely come back but manly because of the Burger and the good vibe of the space.

My wife and i once tried burger & lobster when we visited London. There are 3 menu only pretty much: the whole lobster, lobster roll and sandwich. We didn't try the Lobster roll despite some of our friends recommend it. We tried the whole lobster for a more exciting experience, we ordered 2 whole lobsters and asked for grill and steam.
If you'd like to experience more rich flavor, lot of juices and .."finger lickin good" experience...go for the steam one 👍. For the grilled one, it's also good.. and you can experience a more chewy and dry lobster meat but can't beat the steam one.

I decided to order lobster roll. Lobster was soft and juicy and delicious. The meal contains also fries, butter sauce and light salad, whole well combined and tasty, especially fries - hot and crispy.

You can't book so need to be prepared to linger until a table is free. It is usually heaving, but I have never had to wait too long for a table, and usually less time than quoted when we arrive. The menu is simple - burger, or lobster. The lobster comes in 3 choices - served in a roll (so you don't need to prize the meat from the animal), whole lobster grilled or whole lobster steamed. I have tried all and can highly recommend all. The grilled is slightly drier but they are all served with a butter sauce, chips and salad. You get a clothes protecting bib and an implement to get the meat from the claws. The whole lobsters are pre cracked at key locations making it easier to snap open and devour the thoroughly delicious contents - so look out for these. It's the best lobster you'll ever eat in a fun and vibrant environment.

This is a must try restaurant. I'm not a very big fan of lobster, so I tried their regular and lettuce burger, and I loved it. The fries were also SO good!
I think i was too excited to try thus restaurant. We queued for more than an hour to get a table. We ordered the 10oz steak beef burger, lobster roll and 1.5 lobster. The burgers were good so was the steamed lobster. Being a chef and love esting lobster all over the world, i noticed the steamed lobsters were a bit over cooked because it was a bit stringy and a bit tough; tasted good though. Im glad i got to try their food BUT i really did not enjoy how the wait staff keep checking if you are done eating and the time limit of staying an hour and a half.
Wait time was about 5 mins? Since we were just two !
Anyways seriously you can't miss out on their famous lobster roll I mean come on !

What is all the fuss about? Its about having a unique concept with no menu and just a couple of items you can order. I am not a big fan of the burger but the lobster is great as well as the lobster roll is you like something abit heavier!

They have got only three menus - the rest are the drinks. I had the burger. It was really nice. My favourite bit is the salad. It's everything you could ask for in a salad!!
Been hearing a lot about this place from my friends. Being a burger fanatic I had to try their burger or course! My friend ordered the lobster instead. I got to eat from her plate and the lobster was good. My burger was okay, it was the type of burger you couldnt eat with your hands-- has to be dissected with your utensils. It's a good concept for a fast food place that only serves two things on the menu.

Have you ever wandered into a restaurant only to be confused by a menu that goes on for ages? So have I. That is until I started blogging. But one genius has came up with a restaurant that serves 3 dishes and only 3 dishes with no options for sides whatsoever. It is so simple that they do not even have a menu. This is the famous Burger & Lobster and its £20 menu. If its name does not give it away, the restaurant literally serves burger and lobsters. Coming in for lunch at 2pm on Saturday, I was thankful to have waited for a short 15 minutes before being seated. I have heard other people who have waited for over 2 hours!

Great place for a lovely lobster meal. Place is always crowded and lively. Staff are helpful and friendly. I like my lobster steamed and it comes with a delicious butter sauce and a side of fries and salad which are tasty as well. I love dipping my fries in the leftover butter sauce after I've finished my lobster and it's yummy!
Without a doubt my favourite place I ate in London! The food was absolutely delicious, I got the lobster roll which was out of this world which came with chips and a side salad. I would recommend that over the lobster which my mum got but we both preferred the lobster roll. I got the b&l fizz which was really nice and a bit too easy to drink. Also got cheesecake which was nice but it was kind of warm which was a bit off putting. The woman that was serving us was so lovely and I couldn't fault her at all, I wish I had gotten her name. Can't wait til I'm back in London to eat here again!
We were seated as soon as we arrived out of luck, the place was packed, make reservations if you're planning to go. I tried all of the menu items: the burger, the grilled lobster, the steamed lobster and the lobster roll. The burger was deliciously juicy, the meat was very high quality. The lobster roll was amazing too, the brioche bun really took the dish on another level. Order the steamed lobster instead of the grilled, the grilled one was a bit dry. Overall, it was a great meal and the concept is very original. Definitely recommend.

The location is hard to find but worth going. Do not miss this opportunity. There is always a long queu at the door. Menu has 3 options: Steamed or grilled lobster, beef burger and lobster sandwich. We ordered all three to taste. Steamed lobster is my favorite. Beef burger is also wonderful. There is fries on the side.
Well what can I say? Haven't been blown away by the service... The queues to get a table and long wait automatically deducts 0.5 points. But let me tell you... It was worth the wait!
For a mere £20 we were treated to a medium sized lobsters with lemon and garlic sauce. It was perfectly cooked, grilled with a hint of moisture, succulent and meaty. Little wonder why the place is always packed! If you come from a place where you expect to pay premium for lobster yu ou will definitely be blown away with the value.

B&L serves three items on the menu: burger, lobster roll and lobster for £20 each. Personally don't think the burger is worth the price, but the lobster roll's my #1 choice, since I don't like getting my hands dirty. Remember to glaze it with their amazing butter sauce!

Very nice and informal place. It is huge. Excellent burgers for burgers lovers; you can also have a lobster with a good quality/price ratio. The staff is international and hearty. The service is fast.
A hype worth noting. To get the best of the lobster, we opted for the poached one. Having it poached means you get a flesh that amplifies the naturally sweet-briny flavours of the crustacean. Not to mention, the flesh stays extremely juicy if poached for the right amount of time. Then comes the best part, the meaty claw! Biting into its meaty flesh was every bit satisfying! Almost like biting into a giant drumstick! Dip it in the accompanying parsley butter for an extra kick of flavour!

Everyone knows by now but there are effectively 3 items on menu: whole lobster, lobster roll, and burger. I reckon 90% of people would pick whole lobster but I heard that the other 2 are also very nice - so may be Ill try that next time. Lobster is very tender and nicely grilled. Extra point for the accompanying sauce which is absolutely delicious. For 20 quid, you can't really ask for more. They do have nifty way of extracting more cash out of you via pre table drinks but I can live with that.
Very, very crowded. I went there as party of 2 at 6 and still waited for over an hour. Interestingly larger party tend to get tables a lot quicker (most people go as 2 it seems) so that may be a good tip.

i'm not the biggest fan of roast dinners so my favourite alternative is to head to burger and lobster for an late sunday afternoon lunch. everyone knows the drill by now about burger and lobster...you get the choice of a burger, lobster or lobster roll served with salad and fries for just £20. its a simple concept to follow plus they even paint the instructions on the wall for anyone struggling to understand....
whenever i've been, the wait for a table is ALWAYS at least about 40 minutes but instead of giving up and going somewhere else...be patient! you can pop your name on the waiting list and they'll give you a call when your tables ready so you're free to go for a wander or drink elsewhere. My advice - prop yourself up at the bar and have a drink - the cocktails are seriously good!
Once you've made the arduous decision as to whether you're going to go surf or turf, sit back and get ready for the beautiful beast to make it's way to your table. I always go whole lobster, grilled with lemon butter, however I have it on good authority that the burger is amazing too though....and i really do intend to try it every time I go, but £20 for a whole lobster? There's no arguing with that.
There's now serveral B&L locations across London including the newly opened site on the 5th Floor at Harvey Nics.
The simplicity of the menu is the appeal.
The lobster is a steal and the waiting period of 20-30 mins is worth it.

Burger and Lobster doesn’t have a menu because it doesn’t need one. There are only three dishes available: lobster, lobster roll or steak burger. All meals cost £20 and come served with a mixed leaf salad, chips and garlic sauce. It seemed a no-brainer to us to go for the lobster. In fact, three of the four of us had the grilled lobster (you can also have it steamed), while I opted for the lobster roll (one of my absolute weaknesses).
20£ for a lobster is great value where I come from, not so much for a burger. A little over cooked, but the accompanying sauce was good. The door staff is a bit bitchy but they can afford to be with the queues out the door.
Love B&L. Yes £20 is a hell of a lot of money to pay for a burger, but a bargain for the lobster!! Great atmosphere on a late Sunday night in Soho, we opted for sitting at the bar.My lobster roll was perfect in every way, succulent lobster, soft fresh roll, great fries.BF had the burger - cooked rare, as requested.Cool funky place, love the way we have all gone full circle and now going back to basics.
We arrived amidst the binge hiatus between Christmas and New Year which made our predicted 25min table wait a much more civilised 10min. Our server was courteous and cheery given the rather formulaic speech she had been trained to trot out. Here was a chance to test my theory that the fewer the menu items, the better the food. A minced steak burger for the other half and a 1.5lb grilled lobster with lemon and garlic butter for me. Joy to the World indeed! Mains were accompanied by a simple green salad and crisp hot shoestring fries. Perfect. The lobster flavour was gorgeously smokey from the grill. My only gripe? A tad overdone but delicious none the less. The burger was juicy and flavoursome. Pretty good value all round and would be happy to drop by again. Soon.
Lobster more than Burger. This is a fun place in a handy location, but probably only worth it if you're after the lobster roll - there are better burgers nearby for the money.... that said, the lobster roll is perfect in every way!

After filling my soul with sun at the Dale Chihuly exhibition at the Halycon Gallery , I strolled through Mayfair to see where destiny would lead me. While navigating London’s tricky side streets via Maps on my iPhone, I saw “Burger and Lobster” featured on a nearby street and decided to give it a whirl. Yikes! I couldn’t even squeeze inside because it was so packed. The bouncer hostess barricading the door indicated there would be a 45 minute wait. Bummer. Around 45 minutes later, I had wandered to Soho and was beyond starving. Walking down Dean Street, I noticed another Burger and Lobster. “Enough already,” I thought. I’m going in! I enjoyed my meal but I must admit I felt as if there was something missing, for some reason Burger & Lobster didn't quite reach the wow factor for me. I can't help but feel its because I didn't go for the grilled lobster, it would have been much more of an experience and much more of a spectacle and I guess that's what you really are visiting Burger & Lobster for. I'm resolved to go back and have the lobster but again it'll have to be a payday treat as in spite of the casual feel to this restaurant, this is not a place you can just pop in for a quick reasonably priced dinner.
I had to try Burger & Lobster when I got to London. It had been on my list for a while, before it expanded into the chain that it is today (with a recent branch in New York too). The name of the place says it all and that in fact, along with a range of alcoholic beverages is all that is sold here.

Overall, the lobster was delicious and amazing value at £20. The garlic butter sauce drizzled over the lobster was very tasty indeed. We found the service friendly and fast, both at the bar and restaurant. Am now tempted to try the Mayfair and Farringdon branch, but the Soho one was definitely a winner for me.
The restaurant is one of these places that you can’t book a table, we were told it would be an hour and a half wait,so we decided to perch up at the bar and see what cocktails they had to offer. I had a delicious mint one, I can’t quite remember the name but it was a really refreshing choice before my meal. We were shown to our table just half an hour after we got there so I was really happy the wait wasn’t as long as we were told.
... definately worth a visit. I didn’t try the burger but there is no way it can be better than a whole lobster! If you have a relatively small stomach, you could also share one and then get a couple of nibbles, or a desert afterwords. A whole is very, very filling. You have been warned.

The results are in and the lobster roll is by far better. It is served in the most luxuriant butter brioche bread. It has this fresh hot toast vibe thing happening which screams... butter, butter, butter.
And I'm so pleased to say it was as perfectly done as our first visit; sweet, juicy chunky lobster muscle. So much pleasure.
For first timers to Burger & Lobster, its name is the food menu. You have three options of either a burger, a steamed or grilled lobster, or a lobster roll. Each come with fries and a small side salad and each is £20. That’s it. And just as ordering is quick and easy so is getting the food which comes out just as fast – part of their need to turnaround tables in this expensive part of London.
Two things are different in the new Soho branch of Burger & Lobster, while one thing has remained the same. The first noticeable difference is that B&L Soho is bigger, much bigger in fact than Clarges Street. There's even enough space to allow a dedicated drinking area where you can wait ahead of your table being ready without feeling that you're getting in everybody's way. When seated at the table, with the restaurant extending deep into the building, you don't feel that you're part of a scrum as it can sometimes seem in the ever bustling Mayfair branch. A higher table count also means more capacity but don't be mistaken, this is still an incredibly popular venue with many still discovering B&L for the first time and you should still expect to wait for a table at peak times. The second thing that's changed is stock management, so that would be lobster stock then. What I mean here is that behind the scenes, lobsters are now stored in smaller tanks rather than bigger tanks. None of this

I love the Lobster Roll with their sauce. Not really impress about their burger. Cocktail is a MUST !!! However, B&L in soho seems to be very busy. You always have to wait at least 30mins. Try other places if you can.
I heard about this place from my friend. One day accidentally had to go there as the restaurant I wanted to go had no more place to reserve.
No luck with reserving a seat even here. We had to wait for an hour.
They have some tables for waiting. Finally our turn came and we have been seated to nice place. Restaurant is huge and have interior is really well done.
The USP of the place is the short menu. You can either order a full Lobster, Lobster roll or a burger and get a choice of sauce. all costing 20 bucks each.

This place was on my wishlist for ages and had been recommended by friends. I had the strawberry lemonade while waiting for a table and then a whole lobster. You need to deserve your food, it's quite a food with the lobster. Nice visit
The best thing about this place was it's service. We went at about 19:30 on a Saturday evening and as expected there was a 90 min wait but the staff took my number and promised to call me as soon as a table got vacant. I was pretty surprised by this behaviour as never before we were on a waiting list and instead of waiting outside the restaurant, we were visiting different locales and pubs. In about 10 mins we were called and seated in the restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed my burger and lobster but felt that burger was a little pricey but overall I thought it was worth the whole experience as the staff was warm and friendly and the service was pretty quick as well.
I had the most amazing burger of all time. The portions were very huge and that did not compromised in the quality also.

There is not much in the menu to look for . The burger here is just okay and the lobster just above average. What you can order here is the lobster roll.
This is not a place to hang out or have dinner with family ,it’s more of a fast food place where you are served within 5 minutes and ambience is also not very appalling.
Worth the wait no matter how long the line is. The most flavourful and juicy burger accompanied by the crispy on the outside and a little soft in the inside fries. Trust me, I have had my fare share of burgers in a lot of different places all over, burger and lobster is hands down my favourite here. The patty is quite big so if you aren't a fan of a huge patty and prefer thin and crispy ones this burger might not be your favourite but it will still be delicious. I don't think there are words to describe what happens to my taste buds when I have a bite of this deliciously sinful brioche filled to the brim with decedent lobster goodness. This is a must try when you are in this city and I suggest you order both and share. I can never just choose one because they are both that good!
This place is fantastic. We managed to get some seats at the bar (which offers the same menu) right away, as there was over an hour long waiting for a table. Service was quick and efficient. The iced tea was awesome. We all went for the steamed lobster with the garlic butter sauce and it was brilliant. It also came complete with salad and fries. We were all too full for dessert and were very happy with the bill. Will definitely go back again to try the burger as well!

This place is very popular and gets very busy between Thursday's and Sunday's. The cocktails in my opinion are decent but not extraordinary. The lobster here was delicious though. One of the most informal restaurants with a relaxed atmosphere. They offer some delicious lobsters and burgers. The burger is quite expensive and may not satisfy you for the price they charge for it. If you are looking at value for your money, then I would recommend you to go with the lobster. It is really delicious. This is our absolute favourite place to dine at. There is always a wait as it is so busy, however, today as we were 6 we were able to make a reservation. This place has really good drinks and some good food as well. However, today only a drinks menu appeared as they had only three dishes to serve; beef burger, lobster and grilled fish!

Id heard about Burger and Lobster for a long time, especially their long queues, and id always been recommended to go during lunch time as you could be waiting for up to an hour and half for a table in the evening as they don't take reservations.
I ended up at Burger and Lobster for dinner, as we approached the restaurant there was already a queue forming outside, we were told it would be about an hour to get a table for 3 people, thankfully it only took half an hour, i don't think my belly could wait any longer!
They have a lovely bar with loads of pretty cool cocktails to keep you occupied whilst you wait for a table.
When you finally get a table, there aren't any menus, mostly because there are only 3 options, Burger, Lobster or Lobster Roll, the waiters will ask you whether you have been before and if not will explain the menu so don't worry!
I opted for the Lobster, and i DEFINITELY recommend it!! It was my first time having lobster so i can't compare it to another lobster but i wouldn't want to, its amazing, filling, tasty and the sides are just as great! (chips and salad).
My favourite part was the garlic and butter sauce, its amazing and they're pretty generous with it!
The atmosphere is busy and fun and the staff are fantastic! they're constantly smiling and super polite, the service was great and our waitress was extremely helpful with everything.

This is definitely not a place you should go to on a whim. It can literally take weeks to get a table and they don't take bookings so it's first come, first serve. That aside, judging the food alone, the lobster is really good. I haven't tried any other lobster but don't particularly want to. Why? Because I don't see it getting better than this place. It's so good! Also, it is one of the better valued items on the menu in terms of price. The atmosphere is obviously great as it is constantly packed. However, if you're looking for a quick bite to eat or a quiet, romantic spot then this is not the place for you. In my opinion, this place is best suited for groups of friends or families looking for a fun time and a messy meal.

If you're looking for something not ludicrously expensive, mid-range, semi formal, with a maintained standard of food and service - this is the place you're looking for.
I think the name says is all. Burger and lobster are two dishes that aren't normally classified in the same food category, but that's what makes this chain distinct.
With just two main items on the menu, you don't have to rack your brains over what to try, and you can be sure that the quality of food is always just as good. The lobster has an option of garlic butter sauce (definitely recommended) and it can be charcoaled or grilled (I would recommend charcoaled). So you can't really go wrong. If you're really hungry though, go for their burger, which in my opinion qualifies as one of the most satisfying meals for a ravenous stomach. Both cost the same amount, making an indecisive person like myself's life much easier.
They don't however take reservations, and are hugely popular, so you sometimes might have to wait for a table. Scattered all over London, if you're looking for good food, fast service and an overall great experience without causing a hole in your wallet, Burger & Lobster is always a no-brainer.

There’s no getting around it. Unless you plan autistic kinds of far ahead and have five mates to dine with, you’re going to be joining that queue on Dean Street for your Burger and Lobster fix. It’s one of the few places that never wains in demand; no matter what time of the day, eager crustacean lovers are pavement-crawling from dusk ’til dawn.
And it’s not a short wait either. We went after work on a Wednesday and were told 45-60 minutes – that’s AFTER actually getting to the front desk. Shit the bed. Fortunately B&L’s cocktail menu is pretty spesh, so we bagged the last couple of seats at the bar and got our liquor on. V’s cherry coke float was deliciously sickly, whilst I got something peppery with gin that I altogether forgot about the moment we were finally seated to eat.
You’ll know the drill by now, even if you haven’t been yet. £20 gets you either a lobster, burger or a lobster roll, each with chips and a side salad thrown in. Burger aficionados will hunt me down for this, but you have to be a Cheryl short of a Girls Aloud to be going for the meat option. By all accounts it looks like a solid offer, but when you have the luxury of lobster for the same price there’s really no contest. Don’t even get me started on the twenty quid seafood sarnie…
Each to their own, but needless to say we both opted for the lobster. I must have had 50 cent-esque affectations at the time because I decided to go for the larger £30 deal. Big pimping ain’t easy – but in this case it proved to be an excellent call. Bursting with flesh from every crevice and sporting two truly Jurassic-sized claws, I couldn’t have asked for a better catch. V’s £20 option was a decent size too, considerably meatier than The Big Easy for a couple of quid more.
The lobster was heavenly to eat, in fact I’d be hard-pressed to match the delight we took in munching it down for the price. A buttery lemon and herb sauce was a simple but matrimonial pairing – when it tastes this good there’s no need to piss about with complex flavours. Add to this a stirling pot of salty chips and a side salad that actually tasted of something, and the queue starts to make a bit more sense.
B&L is a rare thing – it soaks up the hype and delivers on its promise. I’d completely forgotten about the wait by the end, too distracted by how good the food was and the surprisingly unpretentious atmosphere (you can’t really be bombastic when you’re elbow deep in a lobster.) Suck it up, bring a can and a crossword to entertain yourself, and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

My friend Kayus (1/3 of Young Fathers) had won an award for best album at Mercury Awards!!!!!! Well deserved, these guys been doing this just over 10 years!
So since they were in London an Kayus is a foodie too we thought we head over to Burger and Lobster! We headed over at 4pm an they told it's 45 min wait which was understandable, was very busy! We came back, but still took another 15 mins, which was a bit annoying! However there was que all the way outside for this place!! Was amazing to see!! This restaurant had around 130 seats or more and they were managing it very well!
We got seated after an hour and waiter came straight to us to explain to us how it works. There is only 3 items on the menu, burger, lobster and lobster roll. All £20! You can request for fresh lobster which varies from sizes an prices! I think the most expensive one today was £105!!
We were so hungry from waiting we just ordered straight away! Food was very quick, took 15 mins which was good!!! ☺
Myself and Kayus demolished our food in no time! The flavour was very good on the burger and the lobster was succulent! I really can't wait to go back again!!! Next time take Sultana Malik with me!!

I went to this place after having heard a lot from it. Although the combination of burgers and lobsters is far from common, this place is definitely a must-try (it’s that kind of place where social media thrives, “here’s-a -‘selfie’-with –my-sandwich “ kind of place). The original concept is that you can either order a half lobster, a lobster roll (their specialty), or a good old burger (it’s great on days where you don’t feel like choosing from a panoply of dishes). Everything is set at 20 pounds (+ drinks).
Having tried everything on the menu, my favorite was the lobster roll, and it’s the meal I continuously go back to this place for. The buttered brioche is filled with a fresh lobster salad seasoned with mayo and spices. It comes with a butter/lemon sauce on the side, fries, and a small salad. Excellent and satisfying.
The lobster is also great, and a lot lighter than the lobster roll (although it also comes with fries and salad, but you can swap the fries for extra salad). The burger is a simple American cheeseburger, which might have a few disappointed for the 20 pound cost.
The atmosphere and décor in this place is very bustling and casual. There is an open kitchen on the right, where you can see the cooks preparing your meals. The staff is very friendly, and service is quick. It’s an overall very nice atmosphere if you’re looking for a lively lunch or dinner with your friends. It’s also situated in a great/eccentric area of London, Soho, where you can walk around through a bunch of stores, bars, and cafes after you’ve finished your meal.
The only downturn to this place, especially if you’re really hungry, is you should probably expect to wait around 30 minutes before you get your table: no reservations accepted for less than 6 people. For this, I recommend you plan in advance. However, the wait has never been so bad because there is seating available, and a very nice cocktail bar if you want to have a drink while you wait for your table.
Being From Mumbai Im a seafood lover......fish, crab, lobster, prawns and a few of my favourite things .So i thought of trying some lobster here. The place is lively and full of chatter....I was surprised to see a long bar as soon as i entered as i imagined it to be a fine dine restaurant but soon realised everyone in London loves to drink !!!The menu is really short and sweet , which i really like with only 3 options at £20 each plus fries and a salad !I ordered the Grilled Lobster which came along with a yummy garlic and butter sauce. The service was excellent and my order came sin less than 10 mins which really surprised with !!!
The Lobster was really well cooked and was really tasty with the sauce. They gave me a plastic bib as it was going to be really messy to eat but i really didnt care and just dug right in. From then on it was just food heaven for me.

Ambiance: The place is great, the setting is simple with some great red booths (I always appreciate a good booth). It's always very busy, which adds to the vibe, and confirms to you that you are in one of the best places you could be.
Service: Considering how busy it gets, the service has always been very good. The only thing of course is the initial wait. They don't take bookings, so that means you have to get there, sign your name, and wait an average of 2 hours depending on the hour that you arrive in. So you definitely need to plan for this, and not a place to go to if you are already starving.
Food: The menu is great, either Lobster (steamed or grilled), lobster roll or a burger. Definitely recommend going for the Lobster, all the dishes are £20, so why would you choose anything else. The burger I have heard is good, but nothing special, same with the lobster roll. I always get my lobster steamed and with garlic butter, have such incredible taste and is cooked so well. Of course I can imagine the chefs have a lot of experience considering the amount they cook every single day. The dishes are also accompanied by a delicious salad and some fries. A+ for the food.
Value: Considering I always order the lobster, I think the value is great. It could be much more expensive considering the freshness and careful preparations.
Would I go back?: Yes, and I have many time. Where else would I go for lobster?!
Okay, I'll admit that I'm a messy eater. Trying to eat lobster in public is the worst idea possible. I like that they have a flat price for all items on the menu. This is great value if you order the lobster (and you're able to get all the meat out). Also, this is something that's usually quite expensive. They're helpful as well and give you all the cutlery you need to eat it properly. Whilst I loved the grilled lobster, my friend ordered the lobster roll, which is AMAZING! Paying the same price for that felt expensive. Despite the heavy price tag for what's essentially a wrap, I will go back here for it!
Judging by the reviews below, I was also lucky to get a table about 10 minutes after I walked in on a Wednesday night!

Food Review: The variety of lobster on order is either the half a lobster with the works (the shell) grilled or steamed, or the lobster brioche. As I have been here to two separate occasions, I have tried the lobster grilled and the lobster brioche. The lobster brioche is the same price and if ordered, does leave the customer wanting more. After waiting 2 hours for a table, I don't know whether its the hunger or the fact that everyone else there seems to be enjoying it, that makes the brioche bun melt in your mouth and the slightly salty chips trickle down your throat. As the slightly too tangy salad comes to an end, you can't help but feeling that the meal is over before it has begun.
Settings Review: The venue itself has a rustic, Australian feel to it, possibly its connotations to "surf and turf "style food. With a bar on entrance in order to allow people to not get annoyed at the extensive waiting time, it eases the flow ever so slightly. The wooden rustic tables are still aplenty and have blocked together in order to get maximum space out of the venue.

This is my second time with my family and had such a great experience. The restaurant is very popular, always busy! We had to wait for 45 mins in the waiting area but it's worth it! I went for the steamed lobster. It's very filling with the lobster sauce, french fries and a lovely salad. Strongly recommended for a special night out!
Came here with my other half first time i had been the menue was pretty simple but enough i ordred the grilled lobster and it was full of flavour an taested amazing and would definitely recommend getting that again, the garlic butter sauce I had along side it was amazing also.

Having had to wait 2.5 hours for a table (albeit getting tipsy at a nearby pub) when my friend M and I finally got to our table we were STARVING. M is one of my favourite friends to go for dinner with, as he always picks exactly what he wants to eat (no matter the price) and is even happy to share his dishes in exchange for a try of all of mine. So, when presented with three options on the menu (whole lobster, lobster roll, burger) there was only really one way to go - yep, we got all three to share between 2 of us. This also meant three portions of fries and salad. Happy days.
The lobster was the stand-out for me, plump and delicate with a delicious butter sauce. Eating it with your plastic bib on makes it all the more fun. M was a massive fan of the lobster roll, and whilst the flavour was lovely, I couldn't help thinking it was a bit like a posh prawn sandwich. Good burger, not worth £20 but decent nonetheless and as a side (!) to the lobster it definitely hit the spot.
Maybe it was the sheer amount of food, but we left with full bellies and wide smiles, having thoroughly enjoyed our B&L experience.
What I really like about Burger & Lobster is that even though it's popularity is immense and crowds of people probably ask the exact same question of staff all day every day, they are still very friendly and do their utmost to sort you out with a table in the least painstaking way possible.
Of course the whole no reservations system is still irritating, but the Grilled lobster is my favourite here and one I'd come back to!
Located Ideally for Central london, This Place is one of the best Two Item menu Restaurants in London. Though A reservation is always recommended in London but for this one it is mandatory unless you're Dinning alone ( When you can Sneak up a stool at the Bar).
On my Visit i tried out both The Burger( Medium to Well Done) and The Lobster ( Grilled). both of them came with a bowl of Salad and a serving of Fresh Chips/Fries plus the lobster had a Crazy Gravy/Curry with it. Though they both tasted superb i would still recommend the Lobster.
The Staff is very friendly and helpful. Service is almost Immediate. and the ambiance is very lively to lift up your spirits after a Long day at Office.
With a lot of options to drink on the Bar Menu and a fixed price for food i.e. 20 Quid(Not bad for a Lobster dinner) this place is a must visit for everyone in the vicinity(Zone 1).

Hello Sunshines! Grab a beer or glass of wine and have a seat, because this Burger and Lobster London review illustrates one of the juiciest discoveries I have made!
Not kidding.
After filling my soul with sun at the Dale Chihuly exhibition at the Halycon Gallery, I strolled through Mayfair to see where destiny would lead me. While navigating London’s tricky side streets via Maps on my iPhone, I saw “Burger and Lobster” featured on a nearby street and decided to give it a whirl.
Yikes! I couldn’t even squeeze inside because it was so packed. The bouncer hostess barricading the door indicated there would be a 45 minute wait. Bummer.
Around 45 minutes later, I had wandered to Soho and was beyond starving. Walking down Dean Street, I noticed another Burger and Lobster. “Enough already,” I thought. I’m going in!
Although, there was also an equally long wait, I was able to score a seat at their bar. Party of ONE in the HOUSE!
A bartender verbally conveyed the 3-option menu:
• Beef Burger (with/without bacon &cheese)
• Lobster (whole grilled or steamed)
• Lobster roll (served in a toasted brioche bun)
It’s quite simple really. If you’re vegetarian, this probably isn’t the place for you. And, if you like to eat gluten-free, you’re fairly limited to the whole lobster. Things could be worse, right? ;-)
Oh yeah, and each entrée is £20, which includes salad and fries. They also have larger lobsters to share, which are priced by weight.
I anxiously awaited my order and started thinking maybe my hunger had caused me to be careless with my money. How could a burger be worth £20? I watched the ginormous clock tick and tick as I second guessed my decision.
About 5 minutes later…..
BOOOOOOM!
Like the exquisite artwork I viewed earlier, this was a one of a kind masterpiece. In fact, I wasn’t sure if I should disrupt the image by eating it or if I should just play paparazzi and snap photos for you! But for that £20 ticket price, there really was only one thing to do.

Just trying to get a firm grip on this hunka hunka beef was a struggle. As much as I tried to squish it together, I still couldn’t widen my jaws enough to get a clear top to bottom bite. While I tried, I felt a warm sensation drizzling down my arms.
JUICE JUICE BABY!!!!! Whoaaaaaaaaa.
With 10 ounces of 5 different cuts of beef, all I can say is- Hot damn this is the ticket!
I proudly finished every morsel, managed to graze through the salad, and put a fairly decent dent in the golden fries served as a side.
With a three option menu, quick service and quality food, Burger and Lobster made eating fun and WELL WORTH the £20. Also an honourable mention goes to the Soho staff member who creates their artwork. She’s super talented!
My suggestion to you is not to casually enter on a random day like I did. Either make a reservation at one of the locations that accepts them, or build the time in to your schedule and JUST DO IT!
Been there for several times. Waited for almost 1h at first time in a Thurs evening. Then go there only in the noon, still have to wait about 10min usually. Preferred steam lobster, more tender, best match with the garlic sauce. And grilled lobster is with smoked flavor, sometimes it could be a little bit bitter.
Tried the burger meal once, average, not tht impressive.

I don't even know how many times I've passed different branches of Burger & Lobster, or seen photos from there on Instagram, or read blogger reviews, and made a mental note to prioritise it on my restaurant wishlist.
I actually think that it was those photos I saw that made me keep putting it off; as delicious as they looked, I was still sceptical of spending 20 pounds on what looked like a tasty but average-sized lobster and fries. The whole lobster seemed more reasonable - but then again, it's the rolls that kept popping up on my radar.
When my sister requested to go to B & L on her recent trip to London (she currently lives abroad so we try to cram in as much as possible whilst she's here - lots of food involved, of course), it was the perfect opportunity to finally try this place out.
We deliberately went at a bit of a weird time as it was a Saturday and we knew the queue would get crazy later on, so after a short wait, we were sat down in a cosy booth at 5:30pm, hungry from (very successful) sales shopping.
After asking the lovely waitress what the most popular pick was from their short menu (whole lobster steamed or steamed & grilled, lobster roll or burger), she told us enthusiastically that the lobster roll would definitely be the staff's favourite. She put it like this: "If you asked any of us what we wanted from the menu, we'd all be GIMME THE LOBSTER ROLL!"
No need to say more. E, my sister and I all ordered the rolls immediately.
How wrong I was about the "average-sized" roll assumption. This thing is hefty. The brioche is so soft and feels like carb-y cloud heaven, and there's a whole lot of lobster meat in there. Dip that monster into the insanely gluttonous garlic butter, and there's no going back.
I was honestly prepared to be underwhelmed, considering all the popularity and hype over this place (too much of all that makes me a bit wary sometimes), but I stand corrected. We were all thoroughly impressed and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
If you're planning to go (which you should be), try to target off-peak times as there was already a long queue forming by the time we left, around 7pm. On weekdays you're probably better off, but it seemed like a tourist attraction as well so aim for an obscure time or take a book to read while you wait. The wait is so worth it.

So I always wanted to go to this place and I finally managed to before I left London.. Thank god for that!! I really enjoyed it. So the menu is 3 things for 20£ .. Burger, Lobster roll, Lobster all with fries. Which one would you pick..the lobster obviously..its a no brainer..
And it was delicious!! The garlic butter with the lobster was heavenly. The chips were well done. The entire meal was a delight. Drinks are a little pricey though so it kind of compensates for the well priced lobster.
They do not let you book a table so I suggest you go early. We showed up at 6.30 and still waited 10 min. The place becomes noisy after a while so not a place to hold a conversation as such. Just put on your bib and dig into your food and for once forget about being messy and enjoy :)
There was a lot of hype surrounding this place so naturally I was expecting to be disappointed but I wasn't.
Ive been twice now, the first time I stuck to lobster (obviously) which was perfectly grilled and well flavoured. The garlic butter that came with it complimented the lobster well and the chips & salad that came with it tastes amazing. Probably the best chips I've ever tasted.
The second time round I went for the combo and the burger was delicious! I had mines medium/rare, it was perfectly seasoned and the bacon added that extra flavour.
Its great value for money, you will leave stuffed!
My only issue was the drinks menu; a strange array of cocktails that sound a lot nicer on the menu than it actually does. And also the waiting, you really should be allowed to book a table. Not everyone has time to wait 2hours to be seated.
But overall a great restaurant, I'd definitely go again!
B&L has had a lot of hype surrounding it, and after several unsuccessful attempts to get seated during the evening, I was ready to give up on the place altogether. Then one of my colleagues suggested it for lunch mid afternoon one Tuesday, and I finally got to experience it.
It's a shame that they operate with this walk in only policy - it doesn't make it feel exclusive or spontaneous or whatever else they are trying to achieve, it just gives me a headache.
That being said, the food was very tasty and I might venture back at a similar time in the future - there's no way I'm adding to the hype.
1st time I ever tried lobster.. Had the grilled lobster, was really nice.. Will definitely go back and try the boiled lobster.

Burgers & lobsters have becoming increasing popular over the years. Since it’s debut with the Mayfair branch there has been 3 new additions. Launched by the team behind goodman’s steak. I heard the tales of the 2-hour queue wait and was prepared for the worst.
I went along with “K” and her sister to the soho branch, straight after work hitting the 5:30pm mark the place was surprisingly empty and we got our tables within 5 mins. WIN!
There are only 3 things on this menu, for £20 it’s a whole lobster, lobster roll or burger, plus a salad and chips for sides. Of course there’s always a choice of picking the fresh catch of the day to share with your party.
“K” and I went for lobster rolls, and “L” chooses the grilled lobster with garlic butter. Either though I wasn’t eating the whole lobster I still wanted to put the cute white bib with illustrated man on myself. Food came promptly; the whole lobster came out on a monstrous plate, with a shiny metal pot of garlic butter.
The lobster roll also came in a decent size, with lobster meat clenched between the shiny toasted crunchy brioche roll. I couldn’t wait to tuck in. The toasted brioche was superb, the sweet, buttery smell, had the crunch and was light and fluffy inside. The lobster meat was a slight let down; the meat tasted like it was going off, the Japanese mayo gave the lobster meat a rich creamy flavour. The salad mix was good, however there were large chunks of sea salt which I had to pick out. The golden crispy chips were also ok, my friend also said her lobster roll tasted like the meat was going off. We most likely got a bad batch.
Overall I think the price point is good, £20 for a whole lobster is cheap in London. I think the lobster roll tasted better then the grilled lobster, and I look forward to trying out the burger next time. There’s no reservations are this place you just turn up and hope for the best there’s no long wait.

I'll be the first to admit that I got sucked in by the almost constant mentions this place has gotten both in the media and amongst friends. It's pretty much exploded on the scene over the past few months, even with people who never talk about food. But despite these constant attention I never really knew what it was - until this week I thought it was called Lobster Burger, a place where you could buy, well, a lobster burger.
But no, it's actually called Burger and Lobster - a name that must come first in the "does what it says on the tin" category of restaurants. You see the premise here is very simple: you sit down, order one of three options on a verbal menu (a burger, a lobster and a lobster roll), and pay a fixed cost per meal of £20 (plus the now standard 12.5% service). All three meals come with some (very awesome) chips and a salad. Drinks are separate, and your server may tell you if there's any dessert available, but other than that this is it. Oh and the burgers are beef, by the way.
Gimmicky as it sounds, I have to say that it works. Due to the nature of our party, beef burgers were not an option, but the lobster was pretty good in spite and perhaps even because of the hard work you need getting into it, and while the cold lobster roll was a nice easy option, it tasted good enough.
Food aside, the place was decent and clean, with good service (I can only imagine the efficiency of a kitchen that only serves three dishes). And adding it all up, I would say that 20 quid is a decent price to pay for the lobster, if slightly too much for the roll.
A final note on trying out the place though - apparently the place gets very busy, leaving waiting lists of up to two hours at peak times. They also generally don't take reservations, although the Soho branch does for groups larger than six. In that sense we were quite lucky today as we got in with zero wait at around 1:30pm, so fortunately I'm unable to comment on whether it would be worth the wait or not. Other than that, the place is recommended.
Burger and Lobster does what it says on the tin, and then some. The concept has proven a recipe for outstanding success, so much so that there are now four branches of the restaurant in London. The three meal options - burger, lobster or lobster roll - save you the agony of pouring over a menu and allow you to get stuck in as soon as possible. Personally, I think you'd be silly not to go for the lobster/roll - where else in London can you get an entire, beautifully cooked lobster for £20? And that's the other bonus; its fixed price means you won't be in for a rude shock when the bill arrives! The staff members are affable and enthusiastic and add to a great all-round experience.
Original place with a lot of hype around it! If you like Lobster this is definitely a good deal, however if you are like me who doesn't eat Lobster this place is a bit disappointing. Burgers are very expenive to make up for the cheap lobster and they weren't amazing. The place doesn't take reservations either so you can expect to wait around 30 mins during the day and 1h in the evenings.
I absolutely LOVED this place!!! I'd never been and can't believe they're a chain when everything seems so upmarket and attention to detail so high! The waitress and waiter that saw to my table were so lovely and made sure I felt comfortable even though I was dining for one... the prices I felt were actually reasonable considering I was eating oysters & lobster, drinking white and in slap bang London City centre lol... I actually can't wait to go back! 🥳✨️
The food was quite good, especially the fries and the lobster rolls. The mocktails were nice. The chocolate fondue was a bit too sweet, and the creme brulee was alright. At the end, I was so full I needed to walk back home (30 minute walk)
Lovely atmosphere and good service! They offer a lunch special from 3-6 on weekdays where you can pick a starter, main, and a drink for the price of a main. What I loved is the mains range and you can choose one of the most favorite dishes. The drinks include a choice of mocktail, too, which is extremely refreshing!
One note: the food rolls in a little slowly, waited over 30 mins for the main to be served. So not an ideal spot for a quick bite.
We had dinner here and ordered the combo set so we could try everything. I agree with previous reviews about how the taste is slightly above average and it's not amazingly remarkable for the price.
However, the service was super good and the dessert creme brûlée was delicious! I think altogether it was a satisfying visit but I would probably not come again for the food.

Took myself out to eat at one of my favourite restaurants, the food was fresh and delicious, the cocktails was amazing and the alcohol was just the right amount.
The burger was absolutely delicious especially when added cheese is inside it.
The chips was cooked just right, crispy and golden.
The salad was juicy, fresh and tasty.
The Passionfruit Mojito is my favourite signature cocktail, i had to get 2 at once and i was not disappointed.
Customer service was 10/10, lovely staff members on the night.
Sat at a bar seat as I didn’t have a reservation - the bar staff were really lovely and checked in with me during my meal to see if I was enjoying myself.
I enjoyed the lobster roll greatly! Especially the saucy! So umami and flavourful. Not the cheapest meal to have for sure but good for a nice treat on a special occasion.
Our last visit was several years ago.
The food portions seems to be slightly smaller this time. The lobster roll and salad looks like they shrank a little. The salad was also not very fresh, we picked out some wilted leaves. Maybe the kitchen was too busy to notice.

Fantastic Dining Experience at Burger and Lobster in Soho!
My recent visit to Burger and Lobster in Soho was an absolute delight! The restaurant offers a perfect blend of scrumptious burgers, delectable lobster dishes, and an inviting atmosphere. I can confidently say that this place has become one of my favorite spots in town.
We started our meal with the highly recommended WAGYU BURGER, and oh boy, it was a heavenly treat! The patty was cooked to perfection, and the combination of flavors was simply outstanding. Juicy, flavorful, and mouthwatering – it left us wanting more.
Next up was the +SHARING COMBO+, which included a Lobster Roll and a Seafood Platter. The Lobster Roll was a true masterpiece. The succulent lobster meat was generously stuffed into a perfectly toasted bun, and the accompanying sauce elevated the taste to another level. As for the Seafood Platter, it was a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. Fresh, diverse, and expertly prepared, it showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality.

Whenever i crave seafood, this is our go to restaurant in London. Their lobster with garlic sauce is very tasty! Even their lobster roll was very flavourful. Definitely a must try in London!
We went as a group to finish off a work event, and the food was fantastic. Staff were very accommodating for one of our members who has a nut allergy. I had the burger and lobster combo which was a delicious choice!
Nice and friendly service. The meal is a bit pricey but worth the value. The lobsters are fresh and the side dishes (fries and salad) come with good portion.
