Found this lovely place while walking in Marylebone. Always wanted to try out proper Greek food. The ambience was good and the service was very nice and quick as well. Coming to the major attraction (i.e. the food), the flavours blended really well and all the meat in our chicken, lamb, prawns, etc. were cooked to perfection. For the desert we had the traditional baclava and some tea, which was again done very well. Overall the experience was wonderful. Maybe it could do a bit better on the value for money scenario. However, we are students who probably find every expensive. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants to try out Greek food.
Being back in London has been tiring so far, as moving always saps a lot of my energy. Between unpacking, organising and arranging the flat, it’s been an absolute whirlwind. Yesterday I decided to take a break from it all with a couple of friends and wandered around Marylebone in search of a nice, inexpensive lunch. We’d visited Cocomomo recently, and right opposite it we found The Real Greek, a lovely, friendly restaurant very close to Baker Street.
Good authentic food - great after an event at the Hellenic Centre opposite. My visit at The Real Greek has been a while ago, but recently I passed by it and was reminded of the nice evening I had there after being at a Greek cultural event in the Hellenic Centre just opposite the restaurant.
What I remember was a good, while crowded, atmosphere with good service and authentic food.
I thought to give a quick rating and this short review. Will try it again the next time I am in London.
Excellent Service! Great Greek food!
Located in Marylebone Area a few metres from Westminster Business School and the closest tube station is Baker street!
I remember that we ordered KOTO-BACON SKEWER and GRILLED KALAMARI as a main dishes and Baklava and Loukomia for dessert.
The greek food is one of my favourite, not because I am keen on visiting the Greek Islands during my summer vacarions but also for the hospitality that Greek people offers to you- always friendly and positive! Great venue!
It was this afternoon after university when me and one of my friends went to try something different.
The Real Greek is hidden in Paddington street, around 10 min away from the busy Baker street. Lovely restaurant and atmosphere, although there is not outside seating which is a pity!
I remember we ordered a shared plate of three different dishes which was around £15. We ordered hallumi cheese, pitta bread, wraps and greek salad. All of it was absolutely amazing so we had to order another round! The next day we went again and ordered Tzatziki and Dolmades which were another breaker for us!
The service was amazing as the waiter was absolutely brilliant in serving us!
I would definitely go back to the Real Greek!!
This is a really good spot for a quick (and very affordable) meal, while not compromising on the food quality. Most dishes are below £10 GBP which is an absolute steal, particularly for Central London. The menu is vast and includes chicken, pork, lamb, as well as vegan/vegetarian options. I recommend ‘The Real Greek Halloumi Fries’ and the baklava.
After a whole day of walking, we were hungry, and we managed to stop by The Real Greek, a small restaurant with plenty of tables. The service was friendly, and we received our order fairly quickly. As for the prices, they were appropriate for the location and quality. The beer was £2 cheaper than in Knightsbridge. I recommend it because everyone enjoyed the taste, and it didn't break the bank.
Lovely and charming small Greek restaurant. The Real Greek restaurant Marylebone has been our favorite restaurant for many, many years, superbly friendly and kind, and polite team who looks after each of their customers with love and passion for hospitality, nothing absolutely nothing is a problem, delicious Greek food, and wine and beer. Well done to Anastasia and her whole team. Thank you warmly for your care at “our” small little Greek place at the heart of Marylebone.
The sharing platter was tasty. The salad didnt taste very fresh and was quite soaked and soft. The service was good.
Cozy and friendly place. Kind and quick service. The food is simply insane
The food here was superb, I loved the twist they added with their greek plater (see picture), it was very well priced too for the area it’s located in and the staff were super friendly and helpful if memory recalls.
Would definitely recommend the younger couples or tourists to go here and give it a try, as the food does not disappoint and it won’t break the bank, plus you can a nice walk after your meal in Central London - can make for an amazing evening.
Well located Greek restaurant in Marylebone, we had a 36£ menu for two people + some extra plates and we were surprised about the food. Really good in terms of quantity and quality, it’s good enough to go with friends or family and enjoy Greek cuisine. Prices are good and service was really kind with us. We will probably come back again soon! Recommendable!
Very tasty Greek lunch
Everything was delicious apart from the falafels which I found dry.
Definitely worth going if you are around
I visited this store with two friends on a Thursday night, and it was an absolute blast. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was even better. Since it was my friend's first time eating Greek food, we tried a bit of everything, but I highly recommend the halloumi fries and the spinach Titopitakia.
I must give a special shoutout to the waitresses and the manager, who went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was amazing. They made us feel welcome and attended to all our needs.
Although I've had the opportunity to try other Real Greek stores, I highly recommend checking out this one. You won't be disappointed
Clean simple healthy food. Very good price too.
Will visit again for sure.
Exploring Marylebone High Street and fancy a lunchtime bite to eat? We just did and found this wonderful oasis. The food was excellent and service swift and professional. I had the grilled halloumi plate and my wife had the meatball plate all washed down with lovely strong Greek coffee which came with a 'Greek' delight. Delight indeed. Try it!
I came down on Saturday for lunch around 2pm and the restaurant was full. We got lucky to get the last table and we sat down. As soon as we ordered the drinks arrived in seconds and the food in minutes which surprised me. Everything was so delicious especially the lamb meatballs. The staff were very helpful and very cheerful. I would definitely recommend.
Really nice restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating. Food portions were big and food tasty. Excellent service too. Particularly liked the chicken skewers.
Went for a pre theatre meal and service was quick enough to get us done on time. Very reasonable prices too on a Groupon deal.
Great service. Food was nice. We got a Groupon deal that made this really great value.
My favourites were the aubergine cold starter, prawns and salted cod. Simply delicious. Their flat bread was yummy too.
Only marked down because the service for a water refill was slow and the restaurant wasn't too busy at the time.
Wow. Just absolutely speechless. Fantastic food , fantastic service. My kids and mrs absolutely adore this place. My wife would rather be having a chicken gyros from this restaurant than be having me on a Sunday night .
