My first time in Dirty bones and it was so good!
Orders two appetizers with truffle fries which were delicious and two burgers which were juicy and full of flavours.
The Mac Daddy was really good, had that with lamb fries. The Lamb fries weren't as good, the truffle fries were actually better. The fries chicken with waffles were also good, even tho I'm not a huge fan of the dish. Definitely coming back!
Carnaby Street does events every now and then and we took advantage of a recent one for a cheaper (cough, bargain) dinner over at Dirty Bones. There’s three branches of Dirty Bones in Carnaby, Soho and Shoreditch. Their menu is New York style American comfort food, so it was one I had my eye on for some time. Also, I love the Carnaby Street area, it’s a nice little retreat from the crowds and tourist traps. So what did we order? We had a lot of the fried chicken, the beef short rib and truffle fries. The short rib was actually meant to have been a salad. But we were happy with our mistake order, and it was my favourite of the table. The BBQ sauce on the ribs is flavoured by salted caramel and burnt onion, so you know there’s some delectably sweet notes. The fried chicken fell a bit more flat, which was disappointing as one of the things we were most looking forward to.
A very good place if you are looking for some good cocktails with great food. Happy hours makes you go sipping some good amount of cocktails.
Beautifully decorated place with equally awesome food . The crispy fried chicken coated with spicy butter milk will make your mouth watery . Even the mac and cheese was awesome . Loved the place as it was the first restaurant I visited in London .. !!
Grilled aubergine topped with Parmesan was definitely one of the best and most unexpected options available in Kingly Court. During the weekend the place was full and the taste of the dishes quickly explained me why.
Ideally spiced, beautifully and quickly served.
To go with my veggies I drank Lexi, an interesting combination of vodka and prosecco served on the strawberry puree.
Dirty Bones is not the most fancy, but definitely one of the most interesting options in the area.
Love this place! As we are not from London, it took us a while to find this tucked out place but it was worth it. Loved the vibe of the place. We first ordered the squid as starters and it was delicious! As main dish, we obviously ordered the Mac Daddy. That's why we wanted to visit the restaurant. It was good but I've had mac and cheese filled burger before and Dirty Bones' wasn't as good. The mac and cheese seemed like it was one of those boxed kinds. It would have been better if they had used a different cheese. We also ordered the Djinn Djinn drink and it tasted good!
Would still recommend this place!
I visited dirty bones quite a while ago and I honestly cannot remember why I didn’t tell you about it then, perhaps I had a lot going on, perhaps I felt like I’d written too much foodie stuff (seriously, does that even qualify as a reason?!). Anyway, whatever it was, it doesn’t matter. What matters is I’m sharing it with you now.
Good food, a nice twist on the norm! The cocktails were decent. Service was superb.
The mac n cheese balls were superb, the sweet chilli sauce was fresh, intensely flavoured and went incredibly with the starter.
I would recommend this place. The only downside was them stopping their happy hour (runs until 7pm on a Thursday) at 6:55pm. Might sound petty, it's not, it's about being particular. 7:05 pm is okay, but ahead of the time they advertise is poor. So I dropped them half a mark for that. I would go back.
I ordered from Dirty Bones using Uber Eats. We had ordered some of the most popular items, such as the beef short rib, the cheesy truffle fries and the chicken and waffles. They were actually all pretty good. I especially enjoyed the fried chicken, which had the crispiest skin without being too heavy. The food would have been miles better if they came straight out of the kitchen, so I think a visit is in order!
Best fries I have ever had in my entire life. Perfectly crisp and evenly salted in garlic salt. Would come again and again. Also their butter baby milkshake is a must, super addictive. Also had the mac daddy burger which was filling and very nicely cooked, they also confirm with you how you wluld like your patty cooked so everyone is satisfied. Staff were so genuine and nice.
We dropped into Dirty Bones for a quick bite and were feeling a little "delicate" after the night before. We needed comfort food and Dirty Bones definitely did not disappoint. The menu is loaded with goodies such as chicken and waffles, burgers and hot dogs. I chose the Mac Daddy, which is a burger topped with macaroni cheese, pulled beef short rib and BBQ sauce. I suspect it contained my entire daily intake of calories but I don't care because it was damn good.
I'd certainly recommend visiting Dirty Bones if you want a cheap and cheerful meal out, but make sure you're hungry!

I was at a slight loss as to where to go for lunch on a day off. So, who else better to consult than fellow Boozybunchers. A quick group chat on Whatsapp and I was sent off to Kingly Court in Soho. Kingly Court is a 2 storeyed gastronomic destination located at the southern end of Carnaby Street. There is an interesting variety of eateries offering everything from Japanese to Peruvian food via Neapolitan pizza.
I had a great experience at dirty bones. Actually I followed their instagram account months ago and decided to try it in my next visit to London.
I had waffle and chicken with mable syrup and my partner had a burger.
Great meal in a hidden location but busy and vibrant. I for sure recommend that you try it.
French fries was great in taste and texture. Highly recommended
Dirty Bones is tucked away on the top floor of Kingly Court a foodie haven just off, of Caranby Street and has been on my list of places to check out for what seems like ages. Arriving on a busy morning we were seated at the bar for a short 5 minutes before being offered a table beside the open kitchen.
Chicken and waffles is my new fave plate. Initially, the idea of sweet and savoury combo confused me a lot because I generally don’t like to combine. No cranberry sauce on this girl’s Christmas turkey, ta. But visits to Q Grill and Bird have completely won me over, and I’m now all about stuffing my face with ridiculously unhealthy chicken-y waffle-y maple syrup laden goodness.
There is much to recommend here - lovely cocktails, nice staff, delicious waffles. Service was friendly but on occasion very slow (I believe there was a bar issue on the evening we were in), which was problematic given the two hour table limit! Great atmosphere (any place that breaks out Talib Kweli's 'Get By' on the playlist gets my vote!) and yummy food, so I'll definitely be returning.

I booked the Dirty Bones restaurant in Carnaby in the hope that it would provide the necessary buzzing atmosphere I wanted for a Saturday night. Dirty Bones certainly did not disappoint: the staff were unbelievably lovely (I had a nice chat with our waitress about Friends which will always win me over), our table was an old pinball machine which added a nice bit of quirkiness to the evening, and there was a DJ in the corner playing absolute bangers which the whole restaurant was singing along to. We arrived early and had a cocktail at the bar whilst we waited for our table. The drinks choice is pretty good and, considering the central location, not too pricey (about £8 for a cocktail). It’s worth mentioning that I booked online two days in advance and the earliest available slot was 9:15pm – it gets busy!
Being British most of my knowledge of Thanksgiving has been derived from US sitcoms and it mostly involves everything going wrong but everyone coming together anyway and realising that it might not be perfect but that the important thing is being with family and friends (old and new) and being grateful for what they have. It also involves a lot of turkey and all sorts of weird pies that involve marshmallows and other foods like yams that I don’t actually really understand.
Just went here this evening and it was delicious!! I was absolutely starving so got a dirty dog hot dog and it hit the spot, I was so satisfied after it! It was around 9 pound which I didn't think was bad at all! I was also there for happy hour which was 2 for 1 cocktails, I got a top dog which consisted of prosecco, vodka, fresh strawberry and lemon! It was dangerously easy to drink.. I had the 2 to myself! I also got milk and cookie for dessert which was a bit on the disappointing side but overall was a really nice meal and I will definitely be back next time I'm in London
Another day, another plateful of American grub. Here’s a round up of what I enjoyed at Dirty Bones in Kingly Court, just off Carnaby Street. If you haven’t been, Kingly Court is a bit of a new wave food Mecca- gourmet pizza place Pizza Pilgrims nestles alongside Tonkotsu ramen joint Shoryu and Peruvian playground Senor Ceviche. And Dirty Bones sits comfortably in that mix as a place to enjoy the taste of New York comfort food (think American classics with a cosmopolitan twist and you’re on the right track):
Last night myself and my friend Kat were lucky enough to get a table at the newly opened Dirty Bones in Kingly Court, Soho, without a reservation. Having only been open a week, it was unsurprisingly fully booked on a Saturday night!. I love Kingly Court. Just off Carnaby Street, it’s a three storey dining destination with a open roofed courtyard (for al fresco dining at the ground floor restaurants). It’s really lovely, day or night, but can get a little busy. It has some great restaurants and bars, and something to cater for all tastes. If you haven’t been, I’d definitely recommend it. I actually love the whole area around Carnaby, it’s so lively and uniquely London – with some fantastic one off shops as well as popular chains.
I went in to the restaurant with my family and the first thing we agreed on was the perfect atmosphere and how friendly our server William was. The food came out fast and was absolutely delicious. We again agreed that the food was some of the best we’ve ever had. I don’t think I can sing this place enough praises but I will say it was a great place and we will definitely come again. And I must thank the staff for their incredible service and kindness towards us. Five stars all round an absolutely amazing place to go to
Good quality burger and fried chicken joint. Good range of burgers, chicken, sides and drinks on the meal. Had the Mac daddy and lamb fries. Fries were perfect, little chunks of lamb and fresh chillies. Burger patties done well, still juicy and a good serve of Mac n cheese as well. Very filling. If they could do one thing it would be to turn down the music a touch. Detracts from chatting to your mates while eating.
Staff were great, v helpful and attentive but not pushy. Prices are pretty reasonable for the centre of London. £14 for the burger in the picture. Fries £9.50, a pint about £6
Really enjoyed myself here the atmosphere and stay made my party feel comfortable. It's a very chilled vibe and the food is very good, full of flavour. I would even recommend if you want to go somewhere for a drink I thoroughly enjoyed the Mutts nuts.
This was a very good place that we came across by walking in Soho area of London. The location called Kingly Court and restaurant Dirty Bones. We were met by very professional host William who showed high quality service. The baby back ribs are amazing. We probably will come back tomorrow again before we fly back home to Azerbaijan. Unlimited wings and French fries were also very delicious. Not so much taco which was just fried chicken tender in taco. Ice tea was natural and not very sweet, what I exactly expected and like. So thanks a lot for great time and meal.
Justyna made our experience very memorable she couldn’t have done more for us! We had my 8 yr old daughter who was a little fussy and she made sure she got us some food she would love. Lovely place to eat and good vibe with good music.
Spectacular. Everything about the visit was top drawer.
The food is just what we were after. A little bit naughty, good laddy food. Burgers/wings/dumplings. Everything with a little kick 🌶
They'd run out of beer, however the manager sorted us out with a good deal 😉
Highly recommend the Cheesburger dumplings, they taste like a Big Mac. Also the loaded lamb fries 🤤 but it seems like you can't go wrong.

The food taste delicious. The patties in burger are juicy, even the aged ones which at other location generally are dry and hard.
Loved the Truffle cheese fries, on spot. The portions are more than enough with a burger and fries. So come empty stomach ;)
In non alcoholic drinks, the lemon soda was good. You can ask them to customize the sweetness according to ur preference.
Delicious burgers! I had the spicy chicken burger which wasn’t as massive as I was expecting and definitely no where near as spicy as I was expecting.
However this was still the best burger I’ve ever had! Everyone loved their burgers, even the vegan who said it was ‘meaty’!!!

We stopped here due to the rain. We were disappointed we didn't have bigger appetites. The food was fabulous
We had the cheeseburger dumplings and the chicken tacos. Both were outstanding. I had the mutts nuts drink, more an old fashioned than a whiskey sour, but still quite good. We would come here again.
It’s a really good place to eat. The burgers are very tasty and the price is good according to the quality of the menu. The service was kind, the waiter William was very nice and funny!
