Wonderful anniversary lunch! So much flavour in everything we ordered! Staff were super helpful, and we even had a free taste of one of the plates that we’d seen the chefs preparing for other diners! Lovely touch. Can’t wait to come back.

Menu is very original and everything was delicious. Loved the cocktails and the wine selection. Staff was great and the place is beautiful, perfect for pictures. Ended up spending about 180£ for 2 people.
Excellent middle eastern food, atmosphere and service!
We were sat opposite the open kitchen where you can see all the actions happening! very fun. Modern take on Middle eastern cuisine done well with loads of flavours which complement each other and not overpowering.
All the breads and dips are delicious, get them all!
Salad is very fresh and tasty. Surf clams and artichoke heart is a must. Octopus and Poussin are excellent!
Also has a good wine selection and cocktails. highly recommend!
Excellent service and friendly chefs. I highly recommend their bread. Beattie, the chef was a delight. I absolutely loved their bread and the pear ice cream. Great servers as well. Will try their chicken the next time, it’s quite a large dish and should be shared by two.
I am not afraid of calling the Coal Office one of the very best restaurants in London.

We followed the recommendations from our waiter and it did not disappoint. Steak was expensive but huge portion and cooked to perfection. Polenta was good but next time would probably try something else.
Middle Eastern menu that really shows off throughout the meal. Get all of the bread, you won’t regret it.
Sharing is encouraged with a mix of small and big plates. Don’t let that put you off if you’re keen on your own meal though. Big plates are a good size for one.
Strong wine list and solid signature cocktails. The Kokus Daiquiri is incredibly smooth. For those into sweet and salty, the ice cream and pretzel is simple and delicious.
Great Mediterranean restaurant. The area it's in is beautiful too. Great design and delicious food. We were a big party so we ordered one of each. The breads and the starters were super good and creative. Especially the polenta and artichoke. The main dishes could get more creative, but it was yummy. Profesional service andngreat vibe.
Once again a perfect show of top happy modern food with the best hospitality in town, new exciting dishes and great atmosphere overall! It was a super hot day and unfortunately no AC was on but not sure what could have been done, all dishes were insanely tasty, the only some and picky feedback is on the Nablus Salad which was yummy but seemed to be chopped quite sloppy (unless it’s a traditional thing) overall great experience once again
Really good food with flavours that are not as common in London so it was so enjoyable. The terraces atmosphere was so lovely and even the cutlery/plates were so cool.

Genuinely one of my favourite restaurants in London. Fresh ingredients, interesting flavours that aren’t overcompensating, amazing atmosphere and great service. If you like Israeli/Mediterranean food it’s a must!
Hit or miss dishes. Ambiance could be described as lively or loud. Service was pretty good.
I used to love their polenta, but the second time around the polenta wasn't as flavorful. Still good, but not something I'd come back for. The aubergine tartare was a bit crunchy, but not powerful in flavor or spice. The fruit salad was okay. The stars of the show were the poussin and the paloma. I'd go again for those.
Decent spot for Israeli food. The brioche was super soft and very delicious, as was the courgette salad and ox cheek. The service wasn’t the best though especially our server who was a bit standoff-ish. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience… probably one of the better restaurants food quality wise in the area
Heard a lot about the restaurant as it’s owned by a known Israeli chef.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was great and the design is beautiful.
The food was really really good and the staff were kind and friendly.

Straight up, never ate at this style restaurant before, but Doug (90% sure that was his name, I was full of a lot of drink and food near the end) was SUPER helpful. Our trip to the UK was based on our ten-year anniversary, so we were prepared to buy some expensive dishes. We actually were going to eat at a place nearby but they were swamped, so we looked this up and they had good reviews and interesting sounding dishes. I love trying new things, but I was a little overwhelmed at the choices and Doug seemed friendly so I asked what he recommends. After we fumbled through the menu and asked for what we thought were singular dish meals, Doug offered to take over and we accepted. He got us bread, salad, starters, and amazing dishes. He even gave us free polenta since it was part of the dishes we tried to order before. The braised beef cheek was amazing. Like it was all amazing but wow. We got a bottle of wine and after we finished our last main plate we all had some shots of anise liquor. For dessert he offered to choose for us again and we got a platter of three gelatos, one with a candle for our anniversary! And then he wrote happy anniversary on the cork of the wine we drank 🥹 it was a wonderful experience.

If you’re in the Kings Cross area, Coal Office Restaurant is a must. Sit by the bar so you can watch the chefs at work curating exquisite dishes. It is very difficult to choose a standout dish however the stone bass stood out. To finish make sure to try the pear sorbet.
P.S. Make sure to book in advanced to secure a table.
Super super tasty place, the vibe of the place was very cool too. Cocktails were sexy and staff were attentive....sometimes too attentive and interrupted our conversations plus asked to take our plates when we hadn't finished! The stand outs were the focaccia, the dates dibs & zatar, beef tartar, octopus and ox cheek. Our dessert was super yummy..a deconstructed Ferrero rocher ;) I've been a few times and will be back
We were initially drawn into the restaurant by the sounds of oriental music filling the street outdoors. It was impossible to resist the lively ambiance, and we were quickly seated at the chef's table. Watching the staff work their culinary magic with playful and cheeky dynamics was really entertaining to witness. The cuisine, a modern take on Middle-Eastern dishes, featured an abundance of rich flavours that left us feeling thoroughly satisfied. Alongside the delectable food, we also enjoyed some masterful cocktails. Overall, our experience was thoroughly enjoyable and we would highly recommend this restaurant.
This is one of those reliable dinner options. I think it’s perfect for a weeknight after-work dinner. I loved the lettuce wraps and the kubaneh bread with some dips were also amazing. Service was also pretty good here.
