Wonderful place . Amazing , freshly cooked food and served with a very nice and professional staff not mention the highly prompt and punctual service as well. A Truly nice place .
This was a big point on my bucket list and it certainly hit the spot. Everything looks amazing and and tastes even better. The staff are very friendly and clued up on every single thing an the store. I can’t wait to try the other stores when I visit London again. It’s been the highlight of my trip so far.
Delicious cakes, pastries and coffee! This place is quite small so you might have trouble finding a spot to eat in. But our large group were there early and the staff were so helpful and kind and managed to seat us. We were already thinking of doing take-away but it was much nicer to eat in.
The macadamia cheesecake was aaaaaamazzzzinggggg! The croissant was soft yet crispy and flakey on the outside, yum! The cinnamon pretzel was soft and delicious and it was more of a donut texture.
After reading about this in the Australian Financial Review and talking to my colleague who came here during her holidays in London, I made a note to visit this place when we visit London. After a power yoga session, we took uber to get here for an early lunch. We were greeted by a feast of beautifully plated salads and cakes. However, there was hardly any dining space except for a communal table. That did not dampen our enthusiasm. It was expensive for salads but this is London!

As soon as I looked through the window I fell in love. So much food colour in a small but bright space ! Everything that we tried was amazing and you just want more!
I now understand why they don't serve wine there, otherwise we would stay all day, and there's only one big shared table for. everyone that wants to try their recipies!
notes.
it's small inside, only one shared table. perfect for a grab&go! anyway, it's worth the queu!
best vegetarian food ever. prices are not cheap but it's insane how good this guy makes vegetables taste. always a must whenever in London!
Some would say I come here far to often but I don't feel guilty about that at all because I love everything about ottolenghi. Walking in you are greeted by the display of the freshest salads (you see them coming from the kitchen, topping up the stands so you know it's fresh), mains and incredible deserts. You tell the staff how you want your box filled (mine tends so overflow) and with which dishes (all of them) if you're having it to go, or if willing to wait for one of the few seats at the 1 table downstairs order as you would in a normal restaurant. The light airy space adds to the healthy, fresh atmosphere, reflected in the delicious food. My favourites have to be the chilli broccoli and the roasted harrisa aubergine or and for main either the salmon or tuna (it's all so good!!) it's hard but try to save room for something sweet because they're spectacular

During our trip to the UK, instead of looking on user generated sites like Yelp or Zomato like I usually do, I found myself looking on my iPhone map to see what kind of places there were around the area we were visiting. We wanted to check out the Portobello Markets (tube stop Notting Hill Gate) and while searching up directions on how to walk there from station, my eyes caught on the orange icon that read Ottolenghi. I knew I had heard that name before. After a few moments of thoughtful backtracking and Googling, I realised that Ottolenghi was one half of the creators behind Nopi. I've been wanting his cookbook for ages since I saw it's beautiful hardback cover at the bookshop and when I saw that it was en route to the markets I got so ecstatic, I knew we had to stop by for a meal.
I was recommended by a good friend in melbourne that i must visit there. she was right. Service was attentive, friendly, coffee was good (not perfect consistency if i must be picky) pastry was perfect. PERFECT. i would go back for their lunch /dinner again.
Offers light meals, good salads, well cooked meats and good coffee with a nice environment to boot. Did I mention the beautiful looking cakes too?
The croissant was delicious - by far the best croissant I have ever had in England - deliciously fresh, crispy and flaky on the outside, buttery and soft in the middle. Mmm. I absolutely covered mine in the jams which were also gorgeous. There was a lovely raspberry jam, a really unusual spiced plum jam and a delicious apricot and passion fruit jam. All amazing! Even the cappuccino was outstanding - topped with a super thick, frothy layer of milk.
Ottolenghi’s philosophy is all about creating innovative dishes from raw ingredient. That shows both in their daily-changing menus as well as their lengthy descriptions of what you’re eating and how knowledgeable their staff are.
A couple friends recommended Ottolenghi . Mediterranean cuisine, using fresh produce, everything is made from scratch hand-crafted, the menu and creations by Yotam Ottolenghi, four locations in London, some with dinning space and all of them with take out capabilities so you can enjoy the flavours in the comfort of your home.
As we were only a short walk away from Westbourne Grove, we couldn’t help but being tempted by the allure of Ottolenghi, which in my opinion has some of the best cakes in London.
During my recent trip to England, I ate at two London restaurants that featured Mediterranean style salads and vegetable-centric dishes, sold by weight, that make for a colourful and delicious meal in combination on a plate. This style of eating struck me
The branch in Notting Hill is tiny - a long shop with a counter with loads of salads along one side and a single, large table at the end of the shop that seats only 10. In the window were multitudes of gorgeous cakes and pastries; I knew we had to save ro
I recently tried this place and had a wonderful time here. There was a wide range of options which were pretty innovative and interesting. The food was excellent and was cooked to perfection. The desserts were amazing as well, especially the blueberry cake which was delicious.
This place serves really good food made with fresh ingredients and a good option for take away. This place has a very limited seating and you usually have to share the table with other people so i wont suggest you to dine out here. I am such a big fan of their food that i have bought all their cook books.
I had a rich experience here. I enjoyed everything thoroughly. The food was fantastic to taste and presented very well. I ordered breakfast pastries and relished it thoroughly. The salads and the coffee too is just amazing. The staff and their services are brilliant. I had a great time there. Also, the food is worth it money. I recommend one must pay a visit there.
I have been to this restaurant a lot of times and can say this with certainty that their cakes and tarts are consistently delicious. the quality of the food never falters and so is the service. The salad is also delectable and is reasonably priced. The biscuits are to die for!
There is nothing about this place that will not entice you or allure you into the restaurant. To begin with, the food presentation and window display are gorge worthy! Whether its a take away, a sit down meal, salads or desserts this place is just perfect at everything it offers! A wonderful place to be at!
We did not know about this place until one of our clients told us that this place serves one of the best coffees. After his recommendation, I decided to give this place a try and indeed he was right. The food as well is appealing and appetizing and compliments your drink. I would recommend you all to visit this place.
We happened to visit this place for a small get together a couple of weeks back and loved the selection of food that they had to offer. Though the place is generally packed, we managed to get a table in spite of the busy schedule almost instantly. The staff was extremely delightful and very helpful. We ordered some coffee and food, both of which tasted amazing and was prepared brilliantly. I would love to visit this place again, the next time I'm in London.
This place is a treat both for your tongue and for your eyes. The food is delectable. We had tried the tarts and the quiches and both were spectacular. The ambiance is cool and sophisticated. The desserts are flavorsome and appetizing. The prices are steep but the experience is worth it.
We came here despite living far away simply to visit this place since we had heard about the hype surrounding it and the positive reviews about it. We encountered a waiting queue despite the early hours and that said a lot about the popularity. When we finally got a chance to eat, we realized that it was worth it. The food here is amazing and the staff very friendly. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
The restaurant serves fresh salads and cakes that are delicious and sumptuous. The ingredients are fresh and of superior quality. The service is spot on. the prices are a little steep but then for the quality you get, it is certainly worth it. The ambiance of the restaurant is also lovely.
This place run by the famous chef is a gem of a kind. The food here is prepared with great flavors and the ingredients used are really unique and amazing. The negative though for me would be the serving staff which was not in sync with the food delivered.
In my opinion, one should definitely try their salads and desserts which are out of this world!
This place is all about imagination and innovation of the food from its basic form. Their menu is highly descriptive and changes regularly. The staff is extremely professional and knowledgeable about each of the dishes offered here. The food is very delicious and has the most unique flavours of all. The ambiance is comfortable and compliments the uniqueness of the food. Highly recommended.
I loved their croissant, and am not exaggerating when I say that it was the best croissant of the city. It was amazingly fresh, and perfectly cooked with a crispy outside layer and a buttery and fluffy inside. I asked for my croissant to be doused in jam, and adored the taste. The jam was a delicious raspberry flavour, and also available in flavours of apricot an passion fruit and plum.
This is a very expensive place but each of the things that go into making the finest of the dishes is of very high quality. The chefs pick the best ingredients right in front of you and suddenly come up with a dish that is very rich in flavours and looks absolutely appetizing. The dishes were all perfectly textured and had just the right crisp. The coffee is also something you must try. The staff was quite friendly as well. Worth a visit.
I visited this place on the suggestion of some of my friends and really enjoyed the Mediterranean cuisine dinner. The food was prepared fresh and there was a lot of options in the menu which seemed to be mouth-watering. I've had a take away from this place a couple of times and usually love all the dishes that I've tried till yet.
The place had such enticing and tempting cakes and pastries to offer, it is so delighting to even look at them! Coming to our orders, we had ordered a cake whose recipe is found in the original ottolenghi book and i simply loved it! Also, the cake had cinnamon and cloves sprinkling. Moist and amazingly delicious! Do try!
You know you've really done something special when you become a one-name superstar - Madonna, Britney, Cher to name but just a few examples - but such is what Ottolenghi has achieved in the London food scene that it is not only deserved, but also warranted.
Ottelenghi is the brainchild of Yotam Ottolenghi, an Isreali born chef who has made a home here in the capital and a job introducing it to his home country's cuisine. Such is his success that it's not uncommon to be in a waiting queue of up to an hour for a seat in his flagship Islington branch which has now firmly cemented itself as an institution in the area.
With such demand, it was inevitable that expansion would soon follow and that's exactly what happened with an Ottelinghi branch making its way to Notting Hill, the venue for this review.
Located on Ledbury Rd a mere stones throw away from The Ledbury, the Notting Hill Ottolenghi carries on the fine vegetarian and sweet tradition on which the brand built its reputation. With a full buffet of visually beautiful salads with combinations which really push the boundaries of flavour, even the most steadfast carnivore will find something here to their liking.
But whatever you do, save room for dessert because any visit to an Ottolenghi without at least one sweet treat is no visit at all as you're presented with a selection that would rival Willy Wonka. It is the very definition of indecision hell but for me, it will always be a toss-up between the caramel and macadamia cheesecake or the lemon and blueberry cake.
The only downside of the Notting Hill branch is that it's not for the claustrophobic as it is a squeeze but well worth it if you're willing to endure. If you can't make it to this location, I would highly recommend going to one of the others as it truly is an education and masterclass in how good vegetarian food and sweet treats really can be.

Lovely desserts, not too heavy, and very flavourful. When you indulge in a bite, you do not feel full in an instant, even after a meal, I find that weird. If only all my desserts were from these guys. If you're a first timer I suggest get an entire array of anything that looks good and take your taste buds on a trip to Disney World. Worth a visit, if you can find it.
Being somewhere I visit every day of the week, Ottolenghi is a huge part of my life. From their pots of spicy nuts I take as gifts to most dinners, to the mocha coffees that carry me to work, I can't think of anything they produce that I don't love.
Stark interiors, communal tables, huge plates of salad and smiley, obliging staff - it's my go-to place for lunch alone or with one friend, or to pick up breakfast from (their prune & pecan swirls are so good I don't take offense when guests say it's the highlight of their stay).
For lunch - definitely go for the seared tuna or rare roast beef, and the legendary broccoli salad. All the salads are fantastic though - and there seems to be a different one for each day of the year.
For breakfast - have a fruit salad (it's like no other) and the apple & carrot muffin or an almond croissant. Best pastry selection I've ever come across - their baking technique, and the quality and flavours are unbeatable. Desserts - chocolate flourless cake, clafoutis and the chocolate tart with crème fraiche, salted caramel & pistachio.
Ottolenghi is classic Notting Hill. A trendy bakery that has now branched out into salads and afternoon 'luncheons.' the brownies are good (super cocoa heavy) and the yummy mummies who hang out in Ottolenghi even better. The founder of Ottolenghi has also started quite an interesting travel show online - check it out!
Ottolenghi is one of my favorite dine and dash little eateries. The food is so good i snapped up the cookbook as soon as I could and often cook their dishes at home. My attempts never produce food quite like theirs however, so I continue to return to the tiny little restaurant for lunch with a friend.
The decor is very minimalist and has a light and airy feel, despite the cramped spaces. This is one place where sitting at a table with other parties doesn't faze me at all. I can never resist the broccoli with chillies and the butternut squash - the tuna here is divine.
I have been to most of the branches dotted around London and each is consistently as yummy as the others.
Beautiful place to get incredibly tasty salads, savoury snacks and, best of all, a massive range of delicious cakes, brownies, cookies and so much more!
Ottolenghi in Notting Hill is a shop with food and Ottolenghi produce to take away. It looks lovely, has a great vibe inside and there is a nice offer of ready to eat dishes to buy as well as desserts. We came 30 before closing and unfortunately most of things were bought which is understandable. Still managed to purchase some dishes like beetroots with rhubarb, potatoes with green asparagus. Flavors are unique and it’s definitely worth tasting.
Lovely counter top cafe with to go options only. Flavors and options are impressive. In a lovely area.
If you are in London you can not miss one of the "Ottolenghi" locations. This place it is iconic and I love their interesting mix of ingredients.
Food and cakes here are so delicious, I tried many cakes and sweet treats in many occasions and they were all good. There salad range as well is very good and refreshing. Used to love having brunch there and now as we cannot eat in anymore, I’m so glad that they sell their sauces for cooking at home, the shakshuka one is my favourite.
Customer service is amazing as well, staff are always nice and helpful.
Amazing experience! Stopped by just for a piece of cake and tea but couldn't stop there!
The banana bread was just delicious and the dark chocolate rum piece was also a very good cake but I'm biased towards chocolate! We also tried one of the cookies that was also good but not at the same uau level has the booth pieces of cake.
We decided not to wait for a space in the shared table but ended up staying a lot of time in the shop to be able to try more things and it was It was noticeable that the staff manages that table space pretty well and in a very organized way.
The place is very clean and organized. The staff give out a very positive energy and is very attentive and available.
What a wonderful little bakery shop. Everything here is delicious!
The freshest most delicious salads & cakes ever. Simple salads made to taste sensational. Cakes are out of this world. Small space, expect a queue, there is a small table with chairs around it- you are a lucky if you get a seat. It isn’t the cheapest food you will have, however it’s Ottolenghi’s food-one of the worlds best chefs. The Persian love cake is my favourite, recommended by a lovely staff member. It’s made of mahlab. If you don’t know look it up, because it’s delicious! LOVE the food here !!!!
An amazing petite patisserie with mesmerising sweets and pastries. They seem to have had a change of staff too. They were all really friendly and very efficient. Guess you would need to be able so serve so many customers that well.
4 out of the 7 days of the week - my household will eat here. Best harmony of quality in terms of ingredients, nutritional value, flavour and value for money, with no compromise in any of these criteria.
The concept of the slight everyday spin on main dishes, with a changing sauce or marinade, is genius. It really helps it feel familiar and new at the same time, which helps me stick to a diet, by not giving me the chance to get bored. The permanent dishes, such as the sides all have some kind of unique exciting flavour to them, apart from being prepared so well, whilst being constructed around a cornerstone ingredient that is a staple for a healthy diet, which at times takes too long as a mid-week meal to prep on your own (like the white beans or chickpeas).
Love absolutely everything, from the mains, salads/sides, to the cakes (not a cake person but their tea cake & the semolina one - always a dilemma if i’m allowing myself today to indulge *again*), one of the best focaccias, pantry staples (the Garibaldi biscuits - omg).
All in all, it relieves so much decision making stress from my adhd mind, having an Ottolenghi nearby, really helped me carve a healthy diet. In love 💕
We came here a couple of times during our trip to London. Once for morning tea and once for brunch. You can't go wrong with any of the cake or sweet selections and the shakshuka is worth a trip in itself. The table down the back only seats a few people but it was generally quiet around 10am on a weekday. The coffee was average one visit but great the next. It's not cheap but worth a visit as a treat.
Fantastic food and place
We are HUGE fans of yotem, we were extremely disappointed with the NOPI experience, we however loved the deli.
Small plates of fresh food they serve everyday ,
There is no seating, you just choose what you want over the counter and it's a takeout.
Ottolenghi is the master of vegetables and salads. I could quite easily eat his salads every day if I lived in London.
Do take note that this is the only ottolenghi that does not have seating. I made the rookie mistake of coming here and realising its take out only. You pick what you like and it gets weighed. My full box of salad cost £18.
Ottolenghi Ledbury catered our wedding luncheon reception in May. The food was delivered on-time, and the communication in the months prior was immediate and so friendly! The food was incredibly delicious, by far one of the best meals I've ever had. All the guests agreed and everyone was over the moon with the food. I can't wait to cater with them again!
Amazing little space filled with amazing platters of food and amazing baked goods all along the walls. There’s cool books and large amounts of jarred and bagged goodies to buy. At the end, a set of stairs leads you down to a communal table that seats 10 under natural light from the skylight up above. The shakshuka here is probably the best I’ve ever had. This space is small but feels very airy and comfortable. I would come back here every time I’m in London.
Only downside is no customer restrooms!
Can't comment on dining options as it was Notting Hill carnival on the day and they did not have dine in options.
The food display is quite a feast for the eyes and there are a lot to tempt you as you can see from my videos. 😝😍😛
