Food was well presented and tasted succulent. Staff were friendly and a nice quiet, chilled atmosphere. Price was good too. Let down only by poor parking availability but if you're in walking distance it's perfect.
Corrigan’s Mayfair is one of the kind of high end establishments you would expect to find in Mayfair. When there are so many options, you know that you are on the right track when there is a long waiting list and a packed dining room. Corrigan’s Mayfair was the perfect place to have lunch with a friend.
We were shown to our seats by the excellent waiting staff and this was just the beginning of an amazing lunch. The service was great throughout and the team really made us feel valued. To start, I chose the venison tartare with Jerusalem artichoke and crab apple, which was put together with real style. All of the dishes we had were perfectly balanced with flavours. My friend went for the seared Orkney scallops with cauliflower, vanilla and cocoa, which sounded like a step into the unknown, but tasted divine.
Looking for main courses to match, I opted for the pan-fried truffle gnocchi with mushrooms and leek flowers and it was just amazing. I never wanted the dish to end. My friend has a sweet tooth and decided that treacle glazed mallard with spiced lentil and pomegranate was going to satisfy it. She loved every bite, but we both still had room for dessert. We decided to share the British & Irish farmhouse cheeses.
The décor was as divine as the food, and we sat for some time afterwards, taking in the meal we had just consumed. I would return in an instant, as would my friend, so think about Corrigan’s Mayfair if you are ever in that part of London.
I love dining in Mayfair, the restaurants I have been to around this area are always top quality and the location is just oh so beautiful. Today Corrigan’s is my choice; the lighting is dim, the leather seats are oh so plush and there is a mix between old gentleman’s club and a hunter’s cabin in the country. It looks to be an enjoyable night.
A jolly good question – where to go for a Sunday lunch? Well, if you’d like a change from your usual gastro pub, a bit less noise and some good food, give Corrigan’s a try. Tucked into a side street off Park Lane, this W1 address suits both business diners during the week and private diners at night and during the weekend. Though it’s not just the smart, subtle dining room that impresses, it’s the noticeable quality of the British produce that Corrigan treats with slow food care.
This highlights the one main drawback to Corrigan's for us: the room is very good, the food is fine, yummy and seasonal - well done Mr Corrigan. The staff however are pretty haphazard. At one point I asked the Hubby if he felt we were sitting in the trainee section of the restaurant.
The first time I heard of Richard Corrigan was during the first season of Great British Menu in 2006. Richard Corrigan was one of the Irish contestants and he was very successful: His smoked salmon with Irish soda bread starter was served at the Queen's 80th Birthday banquet. I wanted to find out about his food for myself and that same year I had dinner at Corrigan's Michelin starred restaurant Lindsay House in Soho. In 2008 it was announced that Lindsay House would close and that Richard Corrigan would open a new restaurant in Mayfair called Corrigan's Mayfair. Corrigan's Mayfair is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week (no lunch on Saturday). For lunch and dinner there is an a la carte menu and a seasonal vegetarian menu. There's also a seasonal 'Market menu', 3 courses including a 250ml carafe of wine for £27. The restaurant also has a bar called Dickie's bar, which has been serving a 'Lost and Forgotten' bar menu since early April. It offers a selection of smaller d
One of the toughest problems when planning a meal is appropriately matching its dishes with wines. Just as bad wine can completely ruin a good meal, good wine can make an otherwise fairly ordinary one into something memorable. Years of wine tasting and a recent WSET advanced certificat e have opened my eyes to this complex area. As with many food and wine related topics, it is also a rather subjective matter. There are however a few principles one should bear in mind. One of the greatest misconceptions is that fish and chicken should always be served with white wines while red meats, particularly beef, should be paired with red wines. The main issue is not the colour but the body of the wine. Whether light, medium or full, the body or weight of both food and wine should be carefully matched. So a Provençal chicken stew could go nicely with a bottle of red Grenache, much as a lightly chilled Pinot Noir might go with a seafood platter. Other considerations are the acidity of the food
Going out for Sunday lunch has always been a big tradition with my family and my passion for eating out developed when I was growing up. My parents would always be on the look out for new places to go and try and we'd travel long distances in the North Ea
When Richard Corrigan opened his eponymous restaurant, Corrigan’s, in Park Lane last year he really meant business. Around the same time, he announced that he would be shutting down his iconic one starred restaurant, Lindsay House when its lease was up at
The first person I ran into at Richard Corrigan’s new restaurant was’ Richard Corrigan. As I arrived outside, about to walk in, he walked out, escorting another gentleman with him. Pointing across the street, he showed off the squatters that had moved int
One of my favourite venues located in the Mayfair is the Corrigan Restaurant and Bar.
The restaurant has a typical British Cuisine.
I can recommend to order as a starter Cornish Crab Salad with Chilli and Lime and Roast Grouse, Braised Kale and Blackberries or the Braised short rib of Beef, Cornish Coocles and Rainbow Chard as a main meals. As a dessert to finalize this marvelous meals would suggest to try the Strawberry and Champagne Trifle.
Definetely a place with style and character, Excellent Services!
Cozy setting, with armchairs and leather banquettes in the Art Deco taste. The kitchen remained the same, even Great Britain lovers find their roots there. Pressed rabbit Terrine with dates flanked by Puntarelle, Loch Ryan oysters caramelized pork and fennel are good! A must try!
What an absolutely amazing restaurant, with some of the best food and fantastic service!
My husband and I went there for dinner last night, to celebrate our anniversary and it was the most wonderful experience. The attention to detail and attentiveness of staff is immaculate. We enjoyed a glass of champagne at arrival, followed by the best meal we've had so far, and one that is going to be hard to top. The selection of wine was exquisite and the suggestions about which ones would compliment our meal were very welcome.
Would highly recommend and I have a feeling, we shall be back in the future!
We loved it.
Service was excellent - great customer awareness, but not in your face. Really enjoyed the 3-course set menu, the timing between course's, for me, was perfect.
Don't get me wrong the main and dessert were excellent but my starter was sublime - Ravioli of Cornish Crab and Scallop
Well done Chef, great work team Corrigan.
A great experience.
Wonderful attentive staff who put you at ease and were very knowledgeable about what they were serving.. Excellent food with flavours that burst to life in your mouth..
One of the best restaurants in London. The food is great. With an allergy, the chef ensured we get everything we needed and when the table ordered something that I couldn't eat the chef made an appetizer on the house to accommodate the allergy and it was delicious. The food was great, tender lamb and scallops out of this world. Will definitely be back anytime I am in London.
We had a wonderful evening at Corrigans - enjoying the delicious Beef Wellington (which really was sensational!) along with delicious fish starters. What made it was the brilliant staff - particularly Mohammed and Eimear who brought such charm and fun to our experience, whilst also being so elegant throughout.Thank you to the Corrigan’s Team! A real treat.
Our recent dining experience at this restaurant was truly exceptional. The cozy atmosphere and diverse menu immediately set a positive tone. The food was a delicious revelation, beautifully presented and full of delightful flavors.
Wonderful evening at Corrigan’s Mayfair. We were eating off the set 3 course menu and by chance managed to order one of each of the choices for each course. Delicious food, the pheasant main was simply divine. The service was lovely and attentive without being overbearing. The extra touches made it a night to remember with added mini courses throughout the night and yummy bubbles to start. Definitely recommend for a memorable night out.
What a place!!
Class throughout. Looked great, all staff were fantastic with us and we had a superb meal to top it off.
We had the festive menu with wine pairings and even course was great.
Enjoyable meal for our London boys Christmas day out.
Restaurant as you'd expect, great quality food. Staff very good and overall venue is great. Atmosphere in main bar is quite partyish, be warned. We saw both young and old groups very loud and boystrous from early supper (6pm) through to 10pm even though we had private dining room. Also main bar area very small to get by groups of people, if you need to leave or toilets.
A lovely warm welcome at the door. Our son who is gluten and dairy free felt looked after. Amazing service, tasty food, we will be back again! We ate from the pre-theatre menu which gave us all the choice we needed.
