On our trip to London, I promised my mother we would get French Patisserie because we did not have time to go to Paris. We came here for the “miracles”. Everything was very beautiful and absolutely delicious. The flavors were stunning. Patisserie is small and expensive, but we expected that.
Found this place a few years ago and I always come back whenever I'm in London. The place is small but it hides true gems inside. The eclairs look and taste amazingly. I loved the one with caramel and popcorn. The puff with sugar is an additional delight. I will definitely come back here the next time I'll be in the city.
Very pretty desserts, nice ambience and customer service. A tad expensive for the taste, worth a try but personally won't be repurchasing.
Best eclairs & choux I’ve ever had! I didn’t really a fan of choux until I visited this place. The fillings were so creamy and the sweetness was just right. The pistachio ones were the best of the best!
Not the average eclair. The price was questionable for me at first but once Ive had my first bite, I know it worth every penny. Beautiful dessert. Fine quality of ingredients. Everything is just so right. Will definitely go back if Ive a chance to visit London again.
The best Choux I have ever had. The service was very good and the styleing was on point. It all made for a fantastic experience. We actually ended up going back twice! Very polite young gentleman behind the desk.
Love their minimal presentation so much. I wanted to try all of them but unfortunately It was about 2pm in the afternoon on the day I came and only had 3-4 eclair choices remaining. I didn’t expect it to taste that great 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 But it did!! Also lychee drink was so so so good🥰🥰 10/10
First time here and it was lovely inside. My son loved the hazelnut chocolate! Would go again
Our favorite deserts for the last two weeks while we are visiting UK. It is the jewelry type desert where every bite is just perfect in any aspect. They literally reinvented the old boring eclairs. This is a tiny shop and a bit dark in the back. Only two tables, I wish they had more seating available. We picked a lot of goods to go, we had to have it all one more time before we live UK, until the next time.
The staff is friendly and very gentle handling the eclairs, I was very impressed. Glade to see young people working with smile and care for the product they sale. The guy even took an extra step to organize the box very beautiful with the eclairs. We love Maitre Choux!
Some of the best éclairs I've ever had, but very very expensive. Service was just OK for this kind of money. Eating in is way too expensive, but there are only two small tables anyway, so you would need to be lucky to find a space. An experience, for sure, but too expensive to repeat.
To my positive surprise they were just as delicious in the mouth, as they were beautiful to the eye. Both the pistachio and raspberry were perfect - light, airy, creamy...divine!
Excellent service, beautiful decor and outstanding desserts, especially the eclairs! Perfect place for a sweet treat! Enough seating inside if you’d like to sit and eat, but usually a place I take an eclair or two to go from. They give you lovely boxes for taking away treats, which make them great for gifts as well!
An absolute delight for all fronts - well-presented, but not style over substance. The pistachio and the hazelnut are the must-tries. Their packaging is absolutely adorable, too!
Very beautiful artisan patisserie specialising in choux pastries, including eclairs and chouquettes. Sat inside and enjoyed an espresso and some pastries. The pastries are divine :) Highly recommended.
All absolutely delicious, the only thing is the price. Bit pricey
The shop is very small, but the shop window does entice you in, like a luxury shoe or bag shop. Just like those shops they don't include the price tag, but then you realise they costs about £5+ each (about 4 inch long), it will make you think twice to see if you really want it.
Although, I will personally suggest this is more of a treat rather than a regular indulgence.. the strawberry and Hazelnut & Milk Chocolate are very light (This takes skill) and flavourful (The shop assistant did say they liked the strawberry the best). The dark chocolate one had a bitter flavour as it was dark chocolate, but the flavour was intense so some people may not like it (It was ok rather than 'buy again' for me.)
Don't put them in the fridge to eat later, as it will change the texture of the pastry (I learned that when I previously bought these eclairs, the Persian Pistaschio ones are very good too), so you should consume them as soon as possible.
4 stars are for the "cost vs value" and the Dark Chocolate one was only ok.
