I've had mixed experiences at Lime and Thyme ; two very good, one really quite poor. I was really quite disappointed by my second visit after work . I was starving and ordered the tomato soup, which the kitchen had forgotten to give bread with and i had to ask again to have and the halloumi salad which flattered to deceive. There was lots of salad and some nice little ingredients mixed in like orange and olives; but i only counted three tiny bits of halloumi which was cold. I was told when i ordered that it'd be fresh off the grill. This was a shame as my first experience at lime and thyme was so good. The kitchen can produce beautiful grilled meats, like the chicken souvlaki as well as fresh and vibrant salads, like the feta and olive packed greek salad. Everything is very good value, with mains from about £9 to £14 and various mezze up to about £6 to start. The sucuk (grilled beef sausage) is fantastic. On the menu as well is pizza and pasta, but i would prefer something more ambitious!
Breakfast at Lime & Thyme.
One minute walk from Raynes Park Station.
Had Shashuka with extra Turkish sausage .
What an excellent dish.
Reminded me my grandma's lecsó ( kind of like ratatouille).
Afterwards, I had crepes, which came with custard and fresh forest fruit on top.
It's not too sweet or heavy, just perfect if you want something "cheeky" to finish with.
For drink, I had my usual latte.
Total bill of £22.46 , which, considering the portion, location, and service, I found absolutely fair.
I have to praise Luisa and Alexandra for the service. 🙏👍
Not only "my table" , but they run the show together with the kitchen, when they had a lot of tables, mainly walk-ins.
They did an excellent, outstanding job. 👏
Overall, it was a great breakfast experience.
If I am around, I'll be back.
Thanks again! 🙂
One of the best lamb stews I've ever had 🐑 The service was quick, servers polite, food was amazing. Highly recommend.
First visit and it won’t be the last!! The service was impeccable; funny and attentive. Beautifully presented interior and very comfortable.
Amazing food, fresh, hot and delicious. I scored 4/5 as they had run out of fries and I’m not a fan of chunky chips 😂 . Can’t wait to go again. Thank you!!
Food was amazing! I personally recommend the fetacado 💖 decor and ambient was really nice :) Recommended 100%
Went in here for breakfast whilst my car was being serviced. Had the Turkish egg dish and it was amazing along with the coffee. If I lived closer I'd be eating breakfast in here every day!
When I visited Lime and Thyme I was very happy with the service and variety of breakfast options. They were very accommodating to my friends and I. We called up in the morning and needed a table at 11am for 8/9 people, they sorted it all out and were super inviting. It's quite a small establishment but is well lit and has a cosy atmosphere. The food was good, no mix ups, which tends to happen when we go out in a big group. Our server was great: super friendly, made some great recommendations, and was happy to help. Overall a great experience, only fault was that the poached eggs were not on top form, other than that I have no complaints. Would like to go again and try something a bit different
Fantastic food. Warm staff. And nice ambience. The English breakfast is very good. Also the Turkish Menemen is lovely.
I couldn’t recommend this place enough! The food was delicious; I had the ribeye which was cooked to perfect, and my creme brûlée was textbook perfect. For such wonderful food, you would expect the prices to be a lot higher; the food is well worth the money and more. What makes it a 5-star restaurant is the atmosphere. The staff are incredible and super friendly, making you feel as though you are in your grandma’s kitchen and being taken care of. Great food, great staff, great restaurant.
Wonderful food, friendly staff and an excellent choice of dishes and drinks. Prices are very reasonable at £8-9 for most dishes. We had the dessert crepes which we were perfect, vanilla custard with a tart and tasty forest fruit compote - one of the best desserts i have had in awhile. The other dishes look great and there is a heavy Greek/Turkish Mediterranean influence to the menu, this place is definitely worth a visit.
This place does some things very well… my mum said the Campagna pizza was the best pizza ever(!) and my friend had the Pollo e Gorgonzola which he loved. However, my other friend said the Beef Burger was a bit dry and the Chicken Souvlaki I had was nice, but I’ve had better.
I’ve only been in here before for breakfast which has always hit the spot, so it was nice to try their lunch menu. The staff are friendly and helpful and it is a nice happy atmosphere.
