What a great Restaurant! The meat was grilled perfectly medium rare, just how I ordered it. Also the wine Pairing was really tasteful, so we drank 2 bottles of wine as a couple which was fun at the end. The Service could be improved a Little bit, but the Food was so delicious that it did not really bother me. Of Course it's not cheap, but a great experience for what we will come back for sure!

The last time I visited a Park Lane restaurant and ate a burger costing over £25 it did not end well. The evening a friend and I spent in the Playboy Club, where we tried their miserable food and tried our best to keep it down, is still a topic of conversation all these years later, a shared moment of dining horror that has hardly lessened from the passage of time. The experience was so grim that I avoided "posh" burgers for a good while after, until I eventually realised it wasn't wagyu beef and truffle mayo I didn't like, it was cynical pricing and restaurants housed in hideous soul-crushing temples of misogyny. And fortunately, hideous soul-crushing temples of misogyny are fairly easily avoided. So with the trauma of the "Hef burger" now little more than a distinctly unpleasant memory, I booked for the signature offering at CUT at 45 Park Lane, hoping it would redeem the reputation of posh burgers everywhere.

There takes a certain something to be a celebrity chef…more than just highly honed cooking skills and knowledge of fine ingredients. I’ve met several starry chefs over the past year who possess so much charisma and passion, there’s not only a love of food but a true warmth and hospitality. Austrian-born Wolfgang Puck is perhaps one of the most famous chefs in the USA and it’s easy to see why. Not only is his food incredible but he is also so friendly and personable that you can see why he is loved by so many people.

Probably one of the best Wagyu Rib Eye steaks I have ever had, grilled to a perfect medium, a lovely textured exterior, with a succulent inside. Not even sure what more I can say.

The mix of vegetables, chips, and mushrooms as a side nicely complimented the beef. (only the Australian Wagyu is halal)

Tuna tartar as a starter (nearly forgot to mention it as the steak certainly stole the show).

Cheese platter, first time I've had cheese with chocolates, it worked surprisingly well.

Black coffee, great company, superb evening.

Why not 5 stars? The restaurant is not inside the famous Dorchester (it's across the road), and though the service was spot on, took some time to find someone to bring the bill.

Booking was not so straight forward to start via email but once this hiccup was resolved all was smooth running after. Even knew my name on arrival which is nice. Comfortable seating and offered some nice mocktails as well. Staff very knowledgable and pleasant and very easy to talk to each other so the acoustics were good. Great food including the steaks, side dishes of mashed potatoes and also the INDIAN spiced mushrooms where great. The French fries however was a let down.

Great dessert of apple and blackberry crumble but portions were very reasonable so could not finish.

You also get bread to start and was also offered complimentary cheese puff pastry and onion rings.

I must say a very pleasant evening and would recommend and would visit again but without alcohol still came in at £333 for three of us. So would budget for £150-£250 per head so be prepared.

Lighting is dark so can be difficult to read the menu and Vegitarian options are limited but if you don't eat fish, meat or mushrooms then you may be limited to your selection.

The atmosphere gives you a sensation of comfort. The seats are cozy and the dark lights give a romantic touch to the vibes.

Mac and cheese: rich flavor in cheese, not that heavy that you want to vomit

Corn

Burata: a very well known dish , best to start the meal with

Mains:
Australian steak : they have the most renowned and delicious steaks in town , so juicy and tender.

Short rib eye steak: mouthwatering , and yummy. Recommended. Suggested by all my friends.

Mini burgers: I would rate this dish a 4.5/5.

Drinks:

Cracklin Rosie: a refreshing drink to consume after a very hot day!

Wolfgang Puck is a celebrated chef, restauranteur (and occasional actor) and rightly so. Cut is the best steak I've had in London. Immaculate service and a wide selection of cuts. I started at the upstairs bar for cocktails - delicious and inventive menu, great service and bar snacks. We then went down to the dining room which has a luxurious yet relaxed feel to it, complete with Damien Hirsts decked along the wall. We were then presented with the selection of cuts and given a thorough explanation. An extensive wine list and well-presented menu. I had the rib eye (of course) and we ordered a number of sides for the table, including: sweet potato fries, Mac & Cheese (a must!) and spinach. The food, service and ambience was faultless.

Its genuinely a lovely restaurant. Service was friendly, and not at all pushy. Our meal ended up taking two hours, and given we just had two courses they could have rushed us in and out in just over an hour, as they did at Downtown a couple of days before

it was very, very, very good indeed. The cooking lay firmly in the comfort zone. Inventive, pretty, but ultimately comforting. A few dishes you can of course have them cheaply done elsewhere. At CUT, there was nothing to dislike, nothing to offend, and if not for the price tag, everything to love.

For somewhere so new and opulent [CUT at 45 Park Lane] feels surprisingly intimate and warm, the quirky soundtrack of eighties soft rock - yes really - creating an unusual but undeniably buzzy atmosphere. It's an impressive and exciting backdrop for some mostly impressive and exciting food.

Austrian chef Wolfgang Puck is a bit of a legend in the States, with a successful career spanning decades and a string of lauded fine dining and casual restaurants to his name. He recently began venturing further afield, opening outposts of his steakhouse CUT first in Singapore's Marina Bay Sands, and now at the new 45 Park Lane here in London. Having grown up with the occasional Puck-branded frozen pizza at the dinner table I was sceptical, yet curious to sample the cuisine that made him famous. Dinner commenced pleasantly with gougères and crumbly cheese grissini to nibble on while we dissected the menu. One of the lovely waitresses rolled over a presentation of the cuts of beef available and gave us a brief description of each breed. We made our picks and tucked into the bread (a solid selection of walnut, sourdough and onion focaccia) which was served with two butters - a plain salted one, and a rather delectable seaweed-specked number. Some time ago a friend mentioned that he’d hear about this amazing Steak restaurant called Cut. He’d called up the restaurant on a Friday for a Saturday booking and was practically laughed at. When he finally visited I recall him mentioning it was the best steak he’d tasted. I quickly added it to my must visit list and awaited a reason to attend.

So last week when I noticed my Fiancé had added to our joint diary that he’d booked us in for lunch with his friends who were moving to Dubai, I didn’t have the heart to say no (hell I’ve been wanting to try this place for so long, I was shocked he’d been listening).

So Saturday came and I rushed along, feeling slightly bad that I was 10 minutes late, only to find out I was the first there. This gave me enough time to tell our friendly waiter that the it was the short guy with less hair’s birthday and could he arrange a plate for him when we ordered dessert. Mr Fiancé who is notoriously late showed up next, only 20 minutes later than the booking time & Mr & Mrs V (P) showed up last.

Although we’d booked for the £34 Salad & Steak menu, we decided to order a few of the starters because they sounded so bloody good. However we started with drinks.

Whilst the boys settled on a bottle of wine, us girls started with a special cocktail. I can’t say I know what was in it, but the waiter managed to sell it to us and boy was it good.

This was Mr & Mrs V (P)’s second visit and so they were fairly happy for the Fiancé & I to pick the starters. So we did just that.

The Tuna Tatar arrived first.
The tuna was amazingly fresh, the wasabi wasn’t at all over powering, the watercress added a refreshing twist and the avocado was just perfect. Together with wafer thin but incredible crispy Togarshi Crisps, this was the perfect summer dish.

Next up was the Steak Sashimi.
Again, I would be mad to complain, this was delicious. The flavours were well balanced, the Steak was amazingly soft & flavoursome and the radish added a change in texture.

Next up was the Steak. As you’d imagine, the Steak & Salad menu entitled you to the 6oz Petit Cut Filet Mignon steak and a choice of one out of the 5 salads. The Waiter pointed out that this would be a “mini” portion. As part of the menu you also had a choice of sauce.

I was quick to decide on the Wasabi-Yuzu Kosho Butter (despite not knowing what anything other than the Wasabi and Butter were). The choice of salad was a little more difficult, but I went against the recommendation and picked the Roasted Beet, Goats Cheese, Pistachio, Citrus, Micro Basil (what!!???) and Mint salad.

My first thought was that the Micro Basil must have been so micro that I couldn’t see it. My second thought was, “where’s the rest of my salad??”

Mr Fiancé went for the Mediterranean salad and didn’t seem to complain so I can only assume he quite enjoyed it.

Ok so really I’d come to Cut for the steak and although I was slightly confused about my salad, the steak really did not disappoint. Having chosen my standard medium rare, the steak was succulent and juicy, the sauce subtle but balanced.

We also decided on three sides:

-French Fries with Herbs
- Wild Field Mushrooms
- Japanese Shishito Peppers

For some reason I failed to take a photo of the final side we’d ordered which came highly recommended by Mr & Mrs V (P) – the Creamed Spinach with Fried Organic Egg. My oh my was this good. The Spinach was super duper creamy (I can only imagine how much butter was used in the white sauce) and the sunny side up egg was quickly chopped up and mixed through before it landed on our table. I’m not sure if it was the butter or the addition of the egg but this was truly moorish.

The chips were perfectly crispy and the addition of the Herby saltiness was great. Whilst the mushrooms were slightly mismatched alongside the dish itself, they were delicious in their own right so I happy picked at them.

Once we’d cleared our plates there was a bit of a squabble over whether we had room for dessert or not. This was quickly settled with a whatsapp message across the table confirming the need to order.

Having decided we were going to order something, the next decision to make was what are we going to order. With so many really delicious choices on the menu, it took some time but we finally decided on the CUT “Bounty Bar”

Mr Fiancé had no clue so it made for a great surprise & the cake was good too! Described as “Coconut almond cake, milk chocolate ganache & coconut-chocolate chip sorbet”, it wasn’t too sweet. The sorbet cut the sweetness in the cake which is always a good thing.

The problem with having so many expectations of somewhere is that if it doesn’t meet your expectations, you’re left feeling really disappointed. However Mr Wolf or Mr Gang or Mr Puk (I think it’s the last one) I was truly impressed, that is until the bill arrived (but I’ll leave that for another time).

Cut is definitely somewhere for special occasion, whilst the food is of an amazing quality and service was super friendly without being stuck up, you pay the price for it – Don’t say I didn’t tell you!

One of the best restaurant I tried!

My friends and me arrived very late to the restaurant, at 10 pm, we had reserved online for 9:30pm but they were kind enough to take us in.

We weren't really well dressed, so they were kind enough to advise us that people inside were all smart-dressed. In fact, the restaurant was full of trendy people well dressed. The food and service were totally amazing! Waiters are very professional; they gave us really good advices.

We had for starters the Scottish scallop and roasted baby beets that was great, however the dorset crab and lobster is something not to be missed.
For main course I had the pan-roasted poultet noir that was good. We also ordered a Mediterranean salad that was outstanding.

Finally milk Chocolate delice was the best. Not to mention that they gave us a center table in the restaurant and that the Prosecco was very good and quite affordable.

All in all we paid £180 including tips for a great experience. totally worth it!!!

The Cut is another one of my favourite restaurants in the city. Extremely fancy and decorated in an old-fashioned and coy dim-lighted ambience. It's difficult to get a reservation, so if you want an excellent steak dinner, this is really the place to go! It's on the pricey end, but it's really worth it once in a while.
I have to talk about the bread-the bread that they offer to accompany your meal is too good! Try the Pretzel bread with one of the many butters that they set on the table, and I think you don't even have to eat the meat after that.. BUT, in all seriousness, it's the best meat I've had in London. They have a very large selection of different meats from different origins (they even have a meat made from cows who are massaged and drink beer!) I'm usually not a big fan of meat in general, but Cut is one of the places I truly enjoy. Service is great, the waiters are extremely attentive, and will make sure that your dining experience is at its best. They also have a variety of sea-food based entres, and I highly recommend trying the Tuna Tartar as a starter. Whethre you want a leaner meat, a fatty meat, a large meet, bone, no bone, the Cut staff will find what's perfect for your taste. I recommend this place for special occasions, if you're with your family. The atmosphere is very calm and quiet, so it's not the 'funnest' place to go if you're in the mood for something exciting. But if you want a really really good meal, I really recommend you try The Cut at 45 Park Lane.

Great place for a fancy steak dinner. A huge selection of meats from British to Australian to Kobe. Great selection of seafood starters, the tuna tartar is to die for. Very expensive, but worth the experience. Staff is very friendly and professional. An experienced sommelier will spend time recommending the perfect wine for your meal.

As I noted in my previous review, this is a smart steakhouse by serial American restaurateur Wolfgang Puck. The room is beautifully fitted out, all marble and moody lighting. In decor and pricing it is well suited to its location on the dark blue section of the Monopoly board. The steaks are presented in their raw state before you order, and you can try a selection of three different ones (totalling 10ooz of meat) for a little matter of £58.

The wine list was extensive at 650 bottles and had good growers but the mark-ups were very high. What was odd was that some of the costliest wines had the highest percentage mark-ups e.g. Antinori Tignanello 2009 was £190 v a retail price of £69 (2.8 times retail price), but Lafite Rothschild 1996 was £5,200 compared to a retail price of £986 and Vega Sicilia Unico 1999 was £950 compared to a retail price of £249.

Tuna tartare was fine, the tuna of good quality and the seasoning accurate, though it was less good than I recall from last time (14/20). This evening we tried sirloins of both grass fed UK beef and a USDA corn-fed steak, the corn-fed one being better though hardly dazzling. The grass-fed steak was cooked properly but was on the chewy side. The meat was cooked as requested, and at £38 for a 10oz steak of USDA beef and £30 for Devon beef well it might be. However there is a limit to how high I am prepared to score a steak unless it is truly exceptional in quality, as for example I have encountered in Japan (14/20).

I enjoyed the apple crumble for dessert, the apple cooked through just enough to retain a hint of texture without being hard, the crumble itself comforting, the portion size generous (15/20). Service was excellent throughout the evening but the prices were very high.

Best. Steak. Ever. Cooked to perfection and excellent quality. Starters, sides, mains and desserts are the best I've had in London. Very pricey though, save this for a special occasion! Went for the Tasting of 3 steaks (because I'm greedy) and my friend ordered the Petit Cut Filet Mignon. Dessert was amazing too, Warm dark chocolate Valrhona Soufflé avec whipped crème fraîche and toasted hazelnut gianduja ice cream.Taking .5 off my rating because of the service which was terrible. We waited 45 minutes for them to get us the food, never got us the cocktail menu despite asking 4 times and an hour to get the cheque. Service wasn't impressive and certainly not what I expected from 45 Park Lane or anything with Wolfgang Puck's name to it.
Update to include another visit: They definitely upped their game after, because service was fabulous, the staff were incredibly friendly and the food was simply out of the world! Have decided that I will go to Wolfgang Puck's restaurant in every city that has one (when I eventually visit these places). We had some quality bourbon, had good wine and more wine on the house.
Will always recommend the tasting menu, each steak somehow tastes better! Still very pricey but worth every penny. Steak is definitely my favourite thing to eat and this will be my #1 restaurant for a while.

CUT at 45 Park Lane is a restaurant owned by the famous chef Wolfgang Puck,
To be honest the food here is wonderful, from the starters to the mains and ends with dessert,
For food get the tuna tartare and scallop cappaccio... fresh, sweet and delicious!
What make CUT so different from other steakhouses I have come across in London is the wide array of meat you are able to have, here they have Wagyu from Australia, USDA beef and also british ones...

But in all honesty, the best is the USDA ribeye, especially for those who really like flavoursome steak. tender and savoury... also if you don't prefer that much fat in your piece of meat, go for the USDA New York sirloin, that was also delicious!

You can't go wrong here with the dessert, all of them are good.. I went with 7 diners and they had 6 desserts and it was delicious.. get all of it and you won't be disappointed..

CUT really is a good restaurant, but the downside is that it could leave your wallet dry by the end of the night... should it really charge you that much is something I feel I need to question but if it is for a special occasion I think it suits.. but with big guns like Hawksmoor, CUT proves to be overly priced...

I had an amazing experience at Cut by Wolfgang Puck! The restaurant is located in the elegant 45 Park Lane hotel and boasts a modern and stylish decor. The service was impeccable - the staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. But the highlight of the night was definitely the food. The menu offers a range of mouth-watering dishes, all expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the sides were equally delicious. The cocktail list was also impressive, with a great selection of classic and signature drinks. The wine list is one of the most impressive in London. Overall, I highly recommend Cut by Wolfgang Puck for anyone looking for a special dining experience in London. The food, service and atmosphere were all top-notch, and I can't wait to go back

This place serves Halal Steak (Australian Wagyu Beef Filet Mignon/ New York Sirloin) This place offers delicious Halal Steak, including Australian Wagyu Beef Filet Mignon and New York Sirloin. The lobster roll was tasty, though more lobster and less brioche would be preferred. The Seared Orkney Scallops with garlic and chilli butter were decent but not outstanding. The Australian Wagyu beef filet mignon from the grill was cooked to perfection. Sides like broccoli, mushrooms, and creamed spinach were unnecessary as the steak was best enjoyed on its own. The dark chocolate souffle for dessert was heavy and the accompanying sauce wasn't impressive. Finally the 1970s wenge loose raw PU ERH tea was disappointing, both in taste and value. Despite some mixed experiences, the steak was truly exceptional and worth the visit.
