Great little locals pub that served as a respite from the 'eclectic' odd menu at the Park Plaza Riverbank hotel. Just a short two block walk away to a real neighborhood away from the glitzy glamour of the hotel scene. Our waiter was super friendly and fun.
This is a nice neighborhood pub with all of the normal offerings. The beer garden is a nice place to sit and enjoy the weather while havi by a few drinks and food with friends. They don’t serve Sunday roast on football game day. The staff are friendly and nice. I like their food and it’s good.
Food was great 👍🏼 however the service was bit slow and took some.. time to wait for the dishes. Nevertheless, everyone left happy and found prices very reasonable so definitely will come back and try other/new dishes 👌🏼 Try waffle nachos for sharing - you won’t regret 🤤
Happened to find this place just blocks from my hotel... Local pub with local people. A great find! No tourists and authentic atmosphere. Fish and chips were fabulous, ales excellent!
Hands down, the best fish and chips I've ever had! My husband and I had a delightful night out at the Black Dog on a Friday evening. The pub's decor was cozy and interesting with vintage ephemera. My husband had the fried chicken appetizer, and our server suggested the Manchego cheese with honey and
Amazing pub with greats of locals and a great selection of beers on tap and cask, as well as some real cider. The menu was really varied, with awesome options for meat and veggies
Had a great sunday roast here a few weeks ago, would defernetly go again. Really friendly staff and fast service.
Great pub! The service and food are both awesome. We had the Sunday roast and the risotto - both amazing! Gluten free and vegetarian options available.
A terrific place for a Sunday roast. Lots of windows so nice and bright during winter. The roasts are all generous serves and meat nice and pink which is not easy when turning out lots of meals. The staff were friendly and attentive when we went, and it was very busy. A great choice in beers. Very g
Stopped by for a few beers and visit with friends. Convenient to nearby IHG Staybridge hotel. Excellent beer and friendly welcoming service. Recommended.
Some of the best Fish and Chips I've had in GB. Try their pickled pepper appetizer along with a Black Dog pint or 2.
Great little find, tucked out of the way but only a short walk from the embankment. Went back most nights, steak was lovely. Friendly staff and atmosphere
🚇 Vauxhall 🍺 £6.20 Estrella ❤️ An upbeat Gastro set in an tranquil backstreet in Vauxhall. . The Black Dog is located in a peaceful backstreet opposite Vauxhall pleasure gardens. Getting here is easy with Vauxhall station just a five minute walk away. . This pub started life as a mineral water facto
Had a great time at the Black Dog as per usual. It had been a couple of months since I last visited and was pleased to see additions to the menu! The food was great and the service, especially from the blonde server, was friendly as ever. The only disappointment was the possible change to music? I u
The food was tasty and a good portion size too. At £19 for the poussin with green beans and parmentier potatoes, I felt it was a little over priced which is one of the reasons I didn’t give 5 stars. It’s a really nice pub with a relaxed atmosphere. Service was friendly but a little slow at times and
Fab service - friendly, chatty and attentive. We enjoyed the T-bone steak deal with chimmichurri sauce. Good atmosphere as it wasn't loud and one could talk at normal volume and hence enjoy the company and food.
Between 2 of us we had 4 dishes and every single one was memorable in its own right! As a chef who works in flavour science this was exceptional food. Just goes to show that presentation isn’t key in food but flavour is always what stands out! And the flavours here were spot on. 👍🏽 hats off to the c
