I was recommended this restaurant while in London and took a client here for lunch. The menu was lovely and well priced and the food delicious. We were both very happy with our meals and the service we received.

Came here for the sticky toffee pudding. The lamb was the best I have had in the month I have been in London. Sticky toffee pudding was exceptional.

Consistently good. The heading says it all really, great little place, always busy, staff are hit and miss but all in all good for a nice bit of dinner or lunch. Came highly recommended by a manager at one my favourite restaurants (as his old stomping ground) and will be telling him it could do with him going back to train the staff a bit better. But in all a pretty good place and would most definitely go there many more times to soak up the buzz.

Lovely pub, that feels more like a restaurant but still has a pub warmth to it. Good options when you want something nice and casual. The Abingdon was the perfect choice for a casual easy dinner to see my friend Pedro and reconnect. We had not seen each other in 15 years and I saw on instagram he was in London and posted one of those irritating: caught you, you are in London and won’t see me??? He had no choice but to rearrange plans and have dinner with me. He looks great and has not aged but is in the greatest shape of his life and I learned how. He is super disciplined with food and works-out every day. I do too, I work-out so I can eat, and my six-pack abs are very far from existing or showing. So, I got inspired (for one night) and we decided to be healthy with our meal, up until dessert. Claire had told me that their sticky toffee is amazing, and as it happens, Pedro is a huge fan of sticky toffee from when he lived in London so immediately decided to break his rules. What we ate

Faultless Sunday roast. The pork belly literally melted in my mouth, and when I thought I had caught the waitress out requesting some apple sauce, she retorted that there was a puddle of caramelised apples lingering beneath the belly - kind of in a different league to a jar of Bramley, I must say. The sticky toffee pudding was a teeny weeny bit too cakey for my liking, but the rich sauce overrode these details. The service was just divine  and even at the end when the host tried to boot us out (we were literally comatosed after consuming our body weights in yorkshire pud) he did it ever so delicately ("Do you folks fancy migrating towards the comfy sofas at the bar?"). Top marks Abingdon!

The best local, neighbourhood restaurant around. Ask for a booth at the back and nestle in. Delicious food, great wine, nice cocktails. Most of all amazing atmosphere. Definitely book as it gets very busy.

Very homely British gem in the corner of the street. Had the pork cheek and it was paradise. Would like to return and taste every dish on the menu. Sticky toffee pudding is a must have! Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff.

The Abington was a highlight of our visit to London. The service was impeccable and the entire staff was friendly and attentive. We had a group of 8 and selected a number of dishes and everyone raved. I had the chicken liver parfait, shared the pave steak and ended with the dark chocolate mousse. The wine list was not extensive but offered a well balanced selection from all over the world. I highly recommend

A homey gastropub with friendly staff and a good variety of British food. We shared the two person steak and had a generous serving of all the sauces to try. Dessert was a simple but delicious sticky date pudding with vanilla ice cream. Prices are on the steeper side, but highly recommend and will definitely return. Perfect for all groups and families for a nice evening

Great experience on all accounts! My husband and I had the pave steak for 2 which was cooked perfectly and had the most delectable sauces. Also tried the fries and cheesy cauliflower which were a great addition to the steak. The amazing finale was the sticky toffee pudding . . . to die for! A must dine location in London!

I came here for the sticky toffee pudding. It’s sweet and heavy but the clotted cream balances the sweetness and I love anything with clotted cream! Delicious and definitely the plate must be shared because it’s very filling. £9.50 + They open 6pm for dinner service. The seating outside when the weather is good is lovely- quiet street and enjoyable people watching. Basic service, no napkin or water offered. Bathrooms in the basement are clean.

This was one of the better surprises I had in London. The food was brilliant! Perfectly made and very nice presented. All the four of our party were very pleased and we will adopt this place. Definitely! The place was full so make a reservation in advance.

Lovely neighbourhood gastropub with high quality food. Rarely disappoints! Agree with other reviewers - the Sticky toffee pudding probably is the best in London (the apple tart fine OK - used to be better, not sure what happened, almost no caramel sauce last time I had it)

Staff were great and our steaks were perfect. If it wasn't 95 miles away I'd make this my local!

The Abingdon is such a lovely local pub, a bit ladida but relaxed. And the service was superb! Luigi offered the best service to us and the guests around us. Absolutely attentive and charming!

Rich and filling braised meat (lamb?) and amazing polenta that was crisped around the edges so it finished as a toast / cornmeal. Really lovely.

Hosted my Mums 70tg birthday party here , it was fantastic! The only place I could find to book a table outside for 10 people in West London. Service and food really good and the perfect quiet street in Kensington to celebrate alfresco in the city!
