J Sheekey - London - Photo album

Very good restaurant, but also not for everyone - the menu is not very “universal”, as this place focuses on seafood dishes. They were tasty, nicely served and properly prepared. However, it’s not a five star restaurant to me, cause doing everything good is expected these days. And it was rather exp
Simply outstanding food, service, and ambiance. We've eaten our way through the UK top to bottom and hands down, J. Sheekey was the best so far. The scallops were amazing. The Sole and Halibut were prepared perfectly. The sides were spot on, and the mango and passion fruit cheesecake was delicate an
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was simply outstanding, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The restaurant's decor is designed to look like a train, and it's simply beautiful inside. The oysters were some of the
If you like fish, you'll love J Sheekey. Food quality is superb albeit a bit pricey, but where isn't these post pandemic days in London. Restaurant was established in 1896 and its probably only been refitted once or twice since then. It has an old school charm about that would be hard to replicate.
Five stars all the way for J Sheekey! In honesty the venues location initially made me concerned, anticipating another central London hyped restaurant. Fortunately we were delightfully surprised by both J Sheekey’s ambiance, service and most importantly food! Dishes sampled were: roasted octopus; oy
Some restaurants are just class, have always been classy and hopefully will always be classy. J Sheekey is one such establishment and always delivers in terms of food quality and service. On this visit I tried the Galician octopus for starters which was really good and reminded me of dining alfresco
Always on my London hit list while in town. Food is delicious, the service of high standard. I was sat behind the hostess in the small no man’s land and I do much prefer to be in the main dining room action, which was more my fault for not booking on a busy Friday lunch. I’d been at The Ivy day befo
It's a great location, the service is exceptional, and the food was mediocre. In general service in London is much slower compared to the US, but this group was fast and highly attentive. The burrata itself was good, the tomato's were well prepared, but it was all accompanied by cheap olives that
This was our first time at J Sheekey and we came here for our wedding anniversary lunch. The interior decoration is very modern and the atmosphere very nice. The service and staff were really nice as well. We shared a lovely seafood bisque and the mushroom risotto was very creamy and delicious. We s
My wife and I shared a seafood platter which consisted of oysters, dressed crab, cockles, prawns, langostino mussels and more. We enjoyed it very much. The service was very good and price was reasonable. An ideal restaurant for anyone who enjoys seafood.
Enjoyed a delightful dinner with friends. The taste of the starter, which was king prawns and scallops, bore quite a resemblance to authentic Chinese cuisine. Delicious!
Attentive front desk that made sure the meal finished in time to get to our 7:30pm show. Food overall was good but a little too salty for me, in particular the fish stew. Bar service could be improved as our drinks arrived just as we finished our starters.
Best place for seafood and spot on cocktails In the heart of the theatre district, we found this gem that got us to return (rare for us) for their oysters and cocktails. The Nutcracker cocktail was the Best Holiday Cocktail creation I had this season in London. Fingers crossed, they turn it into a
Stopped by for an early dinner with my friend. The venue looks great and impeccable. Menu was simple and food decent, maybe we were expecting something more particular for the price. But the service was great provided by Zain and Paula, who are been helpful and smiling.
Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Came here with my friends, we all love seafood and we were not disappointed. My friend was visiting from the US and she couldn't rave about this place enough. The staff were all amazing and so attentive to our needs. The service was second to none. Cannot w
What can I say !! What an establishment . Not only was I once a chef de Partie here , some 32 years ago please to attach my reference , the standards are just as good and as high as ever . We had special of the day Halibut , some extra veggies all cooked to perfection … even the still water tasted
I love Sheekey’s. The food and service are perfection as is the location- there are so few decent independent places to eat around St. Martin’s Lane now and Sheekey’s is still a beacon for delicious seafood, great wine and utterly charming staff. We shared a dozen Jersey oysters and I had the Corni
