When you are not in your country you miss everything about your country especially the food, the people, the language. For me this was true. Was lucky to notice Agra restaurant located close to the place I was staying. Hunger and an opportunity to gorge on Indian food led us here. We ordered a simple Sheek Kabab and Naan and loved every bit of it. The food was excellent in terms of quality and quantity. The ambiance is not very high end but it has a comfortable feel to it. Old hindi songs playing in the background add the Indian touch. The owner and his family ensure a personal touch to every order. Speaking in your own language was the cherry on the cake. Loved the overall experience and was overwhelmed with a small gesture at the end of the meal - free ice-creams to let us survive the London Summers

Agra is really the best restaurant I've visited in London. The people there really care about you, and are always super fun to talk to! It's a small, homely place with delicious delicious food. Having come from India, I've been trying to find an Indian restaurant here that gives food of the same taste as the ones back home, and I think Agra might be the one!

Pleasantly surprised by this little place. I had lived around the corner for a year and always wanted to try the bustling little establishment. I highly recommend that you do too. It is nothing very fancy but is all about the good food and friendly environment. Very nice staff and jalfrezi was excellent

I am writing this review while eating the foods. Because this restaurant deserves a 5 star review. The fodds are amazing. I am from sri lanka and I know how Indian foods taste like. And the foods from this restaurant is really really amazing. If you want to go to a fancy restaurant this is not fir you. But if you want to eat authentic real Indian food, this is your restaurant.

Last time I was here was about 19 years ago, was good then and is still good now! A little background music would be nice but it's perfectly fine because the staff were very warm and welcoming! 10/10 for the service. Food was very good. There is nothing flashy about this place but it's good, honest, hearty and reliable food.

Back at Agra now in 2023. First time was in 2016. Still one of the best indian places in London. Going easy on the tummy with a butter chicken.

Small family run Indian restaurant. We went there twice during our stay because the curry's we tried were really flavourful! Not too expensive for London either. With a large group inside it can be very noisy though.

I discovered this place 7 or 8 years ago and have been back numerous times, with various friends and colleagues all of whom loved the Agra too. The people are so warm and friendly, and the food is consistently exceptional. I love the ambience of the Agra too - understated but with an incredible history - see the photos! Best place in London, no question!

One of the best Indian restaurants in Central London. Their chappati is awesome, just like from home. In the time I spent in London, I dined here at least on alternate days. Tried a lot of their dishes. Great food and great service. Mohammed Taj was very very helpful and I thank him for this! Highly recommended. Mustafa.

Lovely curry restaurant. The chicken balti was delicious, although a little hotter than I was expecting. Naan bread, poppadoms and onion bahji delicious too. Good service, homely atmosphere.

The place really feels like family restaurant and hence the service is good. Though, there is a very tiny selection of vegetarian options. I ordered Saag Paneer and it was just okay (not amazing). I feel like this place have a potential though.

I have been regularly dining at Agra. I must say that the owner is a very friendly person. He is kind and always ensures that I am looked after. He has a sense of customer service. The other staff working there ( a lady) lacks this sense of customer service. She is not interested in taking orders from customers and only waits for the old man ( the owner) to do it. She is also doesn't care if the customer is waiting for like 15 minutes for his food. Ideally she should have followed up with tge chef. But she doesn't!!!!. Furthermore the food is good and also value for money. The papads and chutneys are complimentary with the meal. Overall a good place.

Very good food, in business from 1954, Be careful with chiken Madras, pretty spicy but excellent dish.

Go where the locals go! Agra is a hidden gem, loved by locals for serving up great dishes! Recommend the Puri, Jalfreezi and a friendly chat with Taj, the owner. Great for walk ins.

I went with my office colleague who discovered this place on Google. As we sat in the place for 10 minutes we realized it was pretty old place established in 1954. Famous Indian actors of the 60-70s had visited the place. Since the place involves a bit of walking from the busy street it is cheaper compared to other Indian restaurants. A typical Indian meal, 2 main course veggies with naan roughly costs around 40 GBP. We started of with Gin and Tonic with some Indian starters to go along. Definitely recommend this place if you are Indian tourist and want to enjoy the Indian food at a reasonable cost.
