I have been to the Best Mangal countless times, as well as to their little brother further down the road. The food is great and portions are very generous. In my last visit we were four and ordered some hummus as a starter (the bread and the hummus are delicious) and knowing the portion sizes we went for the Anatolian Feast for two - yes, we were four and the portion for two was more than enough, and we even had to make an extra effort to finish it all! This dish has got a nice selection of the charcoal grilled meats (chicken, kebab, lamb etc) which was very well cooked (and not greasy and unhealthy unlike many places!).
The staff is not always the friendliest but they do their job well considering the restaurant is usually busy. I'll keep coming back for as long as the quality of the food remains as is!
The food is good but not exceptional. I think the food lacks a bit of flavor but is definitely worth trying out if in London. We ordered the doner kebab, mixed grill and the adnan kebab. The doner kebab and the kebabs were good but everything else was very average. The service is very Turkish like (they make you feel unwanted bordering rude from a customer service perspective) which is not unexpected tbh if you have been to Turkish restaurants before. I would favour going to Mohsen than this place if I feel like having grilled kebabs.
Absolutely in love with the food here! They have a loyal fan. So we walk in and a whole live charcoal grill scene is going on with breads beings rolled and meat on skewers, the works. The place hits you with a delicious smell and we couldn't wait to order. We ordered a hummous, cacik- which is a yogurt, ezme- an aubergine dip along with bread to start off with and of course mixed olives. We ordered moussaka, the kebab platter, kuzu beyti lamb and the chicken wings. Top quality food, top quality service. Seriously, the food was super delicious, lamb cooked to perfection, it was melting in our mouths and flavours so well balanced. To finish it off we ordered the mixed dessert platter which is nice too. But for me the absolute winner was the kebab platter and the meats. Worth every penny spent and more. :)
Delicious Turkish food definitely one of the nicest places I have been to for it. Excellent service good quality and nice ambiance. I highly recommend.
Have only had takeaway. Love the chicken and lamb kebabs! Its different to what I'm used to kebabwise. They cook the meat in skewers when you request it so the meat is freshly cooked.
The food itself is absolutely amazing.
The service however let's this place down. We were not offered any new drinks or service. There were 4 waiters hanging around the bar chatting obviously not being good service men ad women.
A shame because the food is brilliant-
I love BEST MAGAL the food is GREAT
Turkish food. Best Mangal, has been a stand by for me as I live in Fulham, have introduced friends of all nationalities, very healthy food, and very friendly service, meat cooked on open fires, plenty of salads, price is correct for London.
Best Mangal is definantly a good find. The food is consistantley good and great for take aways. Best kebabs in town - even taste good when your sober which is rare for kebabs! Would recommend to friends.
My mate Jimbo used to eat here four nights a week. Surprisingly Jimbo is actually a refined, healthy and trim young fellow. I understand his passion, a succulent delicious lamb shish kebab with simple salad, served in a really thin and slightly chewy flat bread. A fantastic kebab cooked on a charcoal grill.
After a stellar performance by Fulham at Craven Cottage the other night (Fulham 2 v Manchester United 2) we left the game starving and keen to satisfy our hunger at a friends local ocakbasi. An ocakbasi is a turkish grill restaurant serving a variety of g

On the edges of Kensington lies Best Mangal. A small, cosy and welcoming restaurant with a charcoal grill entrance. The warm atmosphere and sense of cleanliness is a real game changer when it comes to restaurants of Turkish cuisine. One is often confronted with poor interior design, uncertainty over quality of produce and disregard for restaurant hygiene in many UK-based Turkish restaurants, although this confronts all preconceptions of the typical british Kebab house.
The meat is refrigerated, pre-prepared and on display in the entrance, there is a sense of confidence and pride among the staff to offer you any dish as they seem to truly believe in their culinary excellence. My partner and I have visited three times in the short period of a week and below I seek to evaluate the pro's and con's of this growing restaurant.
We have now tried six dishes on the menu. All meat cooked to perfection on the open-kitchen charcoal grill. The bread is served fresh and still very warm upon arrival. The bed of salad includes peppers and pickles as well as a diverse mix of carrot, lettuce and other salad vegetables. I recommend the Pilic Beyti or the Yoghurtlu Pilic Beyti as both are dishes I thoroughly enjoyed.
The restaurant is superior to it's local competitors and difficulties in reserving a table are evidence of its success, so it may be wise to book in advance.

First branch of Best Mangal, have to say the staff were very friendly. Drinks ordered and arrived very swiftly. Only ordered a sharing platter which was presented differently to anywhere else I have tried, and I have tried a lot of places with this cuisine. Food was tasty and they were more than happy for us to take away. Would recommend to all.
Consistently one of the best Turkish restaurants in London. Their food is always top tasting and fresh. Even vegetarian options available. Prices are very reasonable. Their new renovated restaurant makes it even more spacious and airy. Highly recommended.
We had multiple rounds of food here. No brainer: order Lamb Doner, it is really delicious! The others not as much. Musakka for ex is not like the ones we ate in TR. Service is really good, Prices are reasonable, cozy/small place.
Good Turkish Döner and grilled meat. Restaurant is small and the grill is taking up most of space. Prices are good and portions are decent.
Great food and service here. Try the shared meat platter, mouthwatering and plentiful with amazing bread, salad and bulgar wheat. Its pricey but its worth it. Take aways are cash only. Lunch is very good value, i think that’s o only between 12 and 3pm for £10! Pic is of my lunch, humous with, adana kebab, salad, grilled pepper, bulgar wheat and bread.
The doner kebab is a bit chewy but the other dishes are really brilliant. Love the plates. Good customer service bit awkward when the waiter mentions the tips separately on card
The food here is good and usually also fast. The meats are freshly grilled over charcoal and the portions are generous.
The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because in my opinion the hygiene practice of touching raw meat and use the same space to pack food for take out and handling payments and no sign of hand washing nor sanitising of surfaces is a bit risky for the weak stomach of some people.
But than again my grandma always touched raw chicken back in the days and even didn’t washed her hand afterwards and we are all still alive.
Popped here on a Friday as I was craving grilled meat. The place looks smaller than it is, there is plenty of seating space inside. I grabbed the Yogurtlu - lamb on tomato & bread with yogurt. One of my more favourite far East dishes. The lamb was cooked good, maybe a bit too much bread, but over all good.
Friendly, great food, massive portions, travels well
Guys behind the counter are very hard working, interesting to watch the duo run 5 orders at the same time, sometimes some smaller things are forgotten so make sure you have your fries
Had the mixed mangal special and the chicken skewers wrap. Loved the wrap, amazing! Perfect quail, lamb chops etc, Fed 3 people for 25£, all charcoal grilled
This meal was AMAZING! We didnt get to take a photo of the beginning as we all got stuck in but trust me when I say it was absolutely flavourful and balanced and succulent!! The chilli sauce is so tasty!!! Honestly very lovely experience and the customer service was 100%
We enjoyed the evening very much with the good service, with the fine meal and fine drinks and with the decent charge. We will no doubt visit there soon. 🧿
Great atmosphere, Friendly staff, amazing food, definitely recommend it!
Yuuum Turkish food with reasonable price. Very good service too!
Went for dinner here and had an amazing experience! The manager was serving us through the evening and provided impeccable service! He accommodated us by making sure our table was out of the rain and we had a heater to ourselves all evening. Definitely some of the most authentic Turkish food around and would highly recommend!
