An overall great dining experience. Friendly and attentive service, the ambience is light and airy even though the venue is in a basement. We were seated in a booth which we really enjoyed. Shared starters of natural oysters served with a zingy Asian style sauce (loved it) and scallops which were good but has a bit too much oil in the shells. Crab salad was very pleasant. The restaurant offers exclusively British meat. The flavour of my fillet was excellent, however it had a touch of too much charcoal for my taste. The inside though was cooked perfectly medium how I like it. The side dishes of cauliflower mash, chips and seasonal greens as well as bone marrow topping were perfect. Wine list offers a good selection even though it isn't overly broad. Certainly a restaurant I would return to.

Known for their tender and flavorful steaks, the Hawksmoor restaurant group’s location in Knightsbridge is perfectly situated near the museums and the renowned department stores, making it the perfect stop for lunch while taking in the sights, or as my friend and I chose to do, a dinner in style.

We opted to start with scallops, roasted over charcoal, which gave a nice hint of smoky-ness to them, accentuated by the white port and garlic-infused butter they were served with. Since we couldn’t decide on individual meals – we wanted a bit of everything as it all sounded delicious – we chose to share our mains.

First we ordered a whole steamed Brixham lobster, served with garlic butter. The lobster melted in our mouths, the texture perfectly light and buttery, and the garlic didn’t overpower the dish, but enhanced it.

Next we chose an amazing 1.3 kg Tomahawk steak lightly cooked to perfection! If you’ve never had a steak at a Hawksmoor restaurant, you’re truly missing out. We talked to the staff, which by the way were so outgoing and friendly, and learned that the restaurant only uses the finest British beef suppliers, using traditional methods instead of mass-produced farming. The steak was tender, rich, and honestly one of the best I’ve had in my lifetime. Served with triple cooked chips, the potato starch is exactly the right accompaniment to the perfect steak. I’m a sucker for a crispy, delicious chip.

Despite being so full from our delectable dinner, we opted to end on a sweet note, ordering the Ambassador’s Reception, a chocolate and hazelnut flavored pudding, reminiscent of a certain spread we’ve all enjoyed. The best part is they donate a portion of the sales to a charitable cause for world hunger. We also ordered the sticky toffee pudding, highlighted with a dollop of clotted cream.

Everything about Hawksmoor Knightsbridge was exceptional. A true culinary gem!

If you’re a London foodie, the name Hawksmoor is likely to be familiar to you. Regarded by many as the best steak restaurant in London, there are now five branches in the capital and one in Manchester – a homage to the popularity of the brand. The concept has grown a long way since friends Huw Gott and Will Beckett opened the first Hawksmoor in Spitalfields in 2006 with the straight forward attitude of providing excellent produce cooked well.I’ve mentioned before that it’s not always easy to find a restaurant to please all my family members but I knew that Hawksmoor would fit the bill and having eaten before at their Air Street branch (pre-blog) I was keen to try the latest outpost in the one of London’s most fashionable areas; Knightsbridge. Hawksmoor Knightsbridge is located in a subterranean cavern on Yeoman’s Row just off Brompton Road. I recognised the venue as soon as we arrived, it used to be Frankie’s – a garishly glitzy New York-style dining room that was a collaboration between Marco Pierre White and jockey Frankie Detorri. But the mirror balls and tacky checked table clothes have all been cleared out to make way for clean lines, bright lighting, charcoal grey banquettes and a semi open kitchen. I had no doubt already that food was also much improved from the days that 3 Yeoman’s Row housed Frankie’s.When Mr S and I arrived Susan SilverSpoon and Dr SilverSpoon were already there, perusing the menu and looking hungry! I quickly gave my dad his birthday gift so we could order our food promptly.I chose a raw sea bass to starter, perfectly prepared and beautifully finished with chilli and ginger. I love raw ginger and plenty of it, though this isn’t one for you if you don’t like the slightly pungent taste of the spice. I also dived in (not literally) to Mr S’s steaming pot of mussels and was pleased to see big, fat sea food in a delicious light wine sauce, enhanced with bay leaves and chilli.It was a pretty, light beetroot and goats cheese salad for my mum.

Ah Hawksmoor, the place of meat, bone marrow and above all else, those fries!

I've stopped eating meat for a while now and still thoroughly enjoy Hawksmoor. Last time I went I ordered their crab roll, their lobster roll, fries and mac n cheese. Yeah, and what? I was hungry oker?

Suffice to say, I did not eat it all on my own, although I did try. I tried because it was delicious, it was satisfying, it was everything Hawksmoor strives to be. 

The service was on point, the waitresses gave their opinions and they worked out. Their mac and cheese wasn't at all gloopy or heavy, it was light, crunchy and creamy, just as it should be. 

Go during lunch, it's quieter and you get to hear your guests talk. 

Prices? Well, bring a full wallet.

I’m not going to tell you how amazing Hawksmoor’s steaks are, because you already know. EVERYONE already knows. (And if you don’t, then the rumours are true. Hawksmoor steaks are fucking brilliant.). They are also – like many fucking brilliant things – quite expensive. BUT I have found a bargain with old mate Bookatable, which is a London Restaurant Festival partner and year-round cave of wonders, if you consider a city-wide selection of exclusive restaurant deals wonderful (which of course you do). This year, one of the best-looking deals was a three-course meal with a cocktail for £27 at Hawksmoor (or £24 for two courses). Mike is big on steak (hell, I’m big on steak, ladylike appetites be damned), so I made us a reservation before going to see Dara O’Briain at the Eventim Apollo. Night out of dreams, amiright?

Went here for steak which was really good, but I was told that this was the first Hawksmoor to also serve lobster? We ordered a whole lobster to share between us for starters, and all I can say is move over Burger and Lobster!! This is the real deal (of course also cost a few more $$$)!!! Fantastic beef and lobsters, we left truly satisfied

I would normally try to avoid writing reviews on chain restaurants (now that there are five branches, I can’t but consider Hawksmoor a chain). While I like Hawksmoor (Knightsbridge), my preference would be to visit the one in Guildhall.

The latest branch of the Hawksmoor group, Hawksmoor Knightsbridge, and not an area that I frequent a lot but on this occasion, a Saturday lunch was arranged purely as the set lunch menu took the interest of my friend and myself! From start to finish Hawksmoor Knightsbridge were top notch with food, drink and ambience - we all started with the fried oysters with devilled tartare sauce then father-in-law and I had the Tamworth belly ribs which were rich in flavour and was complimented well with the vinegar slaw; my other half had the raw seabass with ginger & chilli which was wonderfully refreshing to try in between my mouthfuls of ribs and mum-in-law had Hoxton crab salad which was great too.
For mains, FIL and I matched again by having the D-rump steak however I'd had asked for my usual preference of medium rare when it would have suited it more being medium like FIL had it. Still a great tasting steak at 55 days matured though. MIL and partner shared the chateubriand - beautifully soft but compared to the D-rump not as favourful. Triple cooked chips were scrumptious!
After all that we braved desserts - I had their take on the sweets Rolos which are great if you want something small to finish the night off on a sweet note (the Salted Caramel one was heaven in a bite!). Green apple sorbet and their take on Ferrero Rocher was also on the table - Rocher is definitely a sharing dessert but divine and the sorbert was a great palate cleanser after all that meat.
Waiters were polite and helpful with our questions and the buzz in the restaurant on a Saturday night was the perfect level to feel like it was busy but we never had to shout to be heard. Ladies toliets could have been a little bit better maintained but being a late Saturday night nothing to quibble about!
Will definitely be booking a table again very soon!

The restaurant is warm and cosy though slightly clostrophobic as there is no natural sunlight.

For starters we ordered:

Mussels with chilli - nice comes with thick bread to dip with.
Potted beef & bacon with Yorkshires - beef and bacon comes like a mixture of a terrine and a course paté which you mix with one of the delicious Yorkshires and pour on a splash of gravy, tasty.
Tamworth belly ribs - very rich dish, with a juicy, extremely fatty piece of rib. Lovely in small doses. Lovely home made slaw.
Doddington ceasar - whole leaves with a sprinkle of parmigiano and anchovies. Simple but good.
Smoked salmon - below par

For main course:

One filet, and rest all rib eye steak, all medium. The sauces are lovely.. We had bone marrow gravy and beirnaise. The steaks were average I have to say.

The side order of bone marrow comes on the bone and though I usually love this dish it was a disappointment.

We ordered many sides, all great!

Recommend to try at least once.

This place is incredibly consistent and never disappoints us! They have a standard and know how to maintain it very well. The atmosphere is warm and vibrant. The food is of good quality, very delicious. We had meat and lobster, both were fantastic! Service is good too. Definitely recommending this place to everyone!

Me and my son have already visited their other branches and we thought to try this one this time. The champagne cocktail that we ordered for ourselves was really nice and refreshing. The food was no less than perfect. It was very nicely presented and delectable. Service was also prompt and pleasing.

This place has one of the beast steaks in London . Well cooked and flavourful , the sides were unbelievably tasty too . The wines had a good selection , and made for a perfect ending to the lovely meal . The decor is a little underwhelming but the place has a nice and cozy feel to it .

this new restaurant opened did not disappoint us at all. The service was prompt and pleasing at this restaurant just like any other in this place. It lived up to our expectations. They do some wonderful steaks and also the addition of seafood in their menu is a very nice and welcoming change.

We were really excited to try this newly opened restaurant and could not be more glad we did. To begin with, the service is just incredible, very attentive and pleasing. Coming to food, it does not disappoint either. Outstanding flavors and very well cooked. Definitely coming back and recommending to all!

I adore this place! The decor is absolutely brilliant and mesmerizes you to no end. The music of this place is definitely one that relaxes you and bar looks incredible! The salad was very delicious and so were the steaks. The other dishes also delighted us. The dessert was very good! The service is impeccable too. Definitely recommended!

If you want to go for a lazy Sunday lunch meal and want an ambiance like your home then this is the place that you should visit. The staff is so friendly that they make you feel like you are at home. The steaks are one of the best that I have ever had. I enjoyed their taste of wine and enjoyed my drink thoroughly.

Recently moved to this city and neighborhood, we decided to give this place which we were excited has opened up in our vicinity a try and gladly were not disappointed. We ordered, well cooked filet steaks, sweet potatoes baked perfectly with peppercorn sauce. Wine list is extensive, service amicable. A must visit!

I went to this place for my birthday lunch and on seeing very few people, I must say I did not have very high hopes. However, all this was ignored once our order arrived. We had oysters which were easily the most delicious ones out of all the oysters I have had in my life. The salad was disappointing though. The staff is amicable, quick and efficient. Do try this place out.

I visited this place with some of my friends last week and was stunned by the outstanding atmosphere of the place. We called for a seafood starter, which just could not have been any better. The service was prompt and highly effective as well. The steak was well cooked as well and the sides complemented the dish beautifully.

This is one restaurant that is always bustling with people and the guests who visit are always more than happy to give their feedback to the management. I was so happy to reach the venue and the moment we entered we were greeted by warm staff members. The best part was that they had a fair knowledge about the drinks that they had on the cellar. They could mix a couple of them for you and prepare something that was out of the box. I tasted some of the best oysters here and enjoyed my steaks also.

I have previously visited the Hawksmoor at Air Street for some drinks, but shamefully haven't actually eaten at the actual restaurant...
So this was my first time where I would finally get a taste of their food. I do love a good steak, but the main attraction that tempted me to go in the first place was hearing that there was a lobster version of the Singapore style chilli crab on the menu!
It was Friday lunch time, so the place was not too busy.
We had their ever popular Shake Pete's Ginger Brew which was very cooling and refreshing.
For starters, we ordered the steak tartare and Tamsworth belly ribs. The steak tartare was finely chopped with a nice level of spice, and topped with a raw egg. I love steak tartare and was pretty pleased with this. The Tamsworth belly ribs were really thick, tender and juicy. Really nice flavours, and I would definitely recommend it.
For mains, we had the D-Rump steak and the obvious Devilled Brixham Lobster. I wasn't quite a fan of the steak, which was quite dry.
The lobster, although really messy, was pretty tasty - delicious flavours of onion, chillies, and spices. Personally I would have preferred it to be spicier, but otherwise, I was happy with it.
We also had a side of triple-cooked chips which were nice and crunchy, and some spinach.
Unfortunately I was too full for dessert (shocking, I know), so I guess that I will have to try them another time...
Although quite a satisfying meal overall, the price is pretty steep - which came up to just over £130 for the both of us... probably mainly because of the lobster which was about £45 for 900g if I remember correctly.
There are plenty of other dishes on the menu that I would like to try, so I will hopefully be back again soon...

Service was great with staff having the ability to really converse and make you feel at home. Decore is nice and not too over the top but feels just right and you are able to talk without having to raise your voice which is always nice. I am amazed at the size of steaks on offer so please go with an empty stomach. You will not be disappointed and good location which is just off the main road which I prefer. There is also a good selection of seafood om offer. No space left for dessert so will have to return one day for dessert review.

In one word, brilliant! Visiting for dinner was a great experience from the moment we sat down. Our server was very attentive and was knowledgable on the different choices, and the food was perfect (we couldn't fault it). We had a wide range of food (seafood / steak / bone-marrow / mac&cheese / dessert) and all of them were spot-on. While the food isn't cheap you definitely get what you pay for. Would recommend here for anyone heading to the RAH / in the area who is looking for a delicious meal.

A nice steakhouse, part of wider chain. We had a large group and the staff were very accommodating to us as we had some friends who couldn't make it last minute. We ordered starters, drinks and mains including dessert and everything was sent out timely and all the dishes were well received. Portion sizes of steaks were not particularly suitable for all parties as they were quite large e.g. rib eye was 400g a serving, but staff were happy to come up with other options for us. Great for big groups, celebrations and special nights out. Highly recommend the bone marrow starter

We came here on the recommendation of a friend and it was well worth it. I had the Winslade Wellington dish, an underrated star of the menu, if you ask me, the Japanese martini and we split the Chocolate Anglaise for dessert. Everything was very delicious. Our service was also excellent. The restaurant tends to be a bit noisy so keep that in mind.

Food, especially steaks were excellent. Done just right. This is my second visit. Presentation is the same, minimalist and let's you focus on the food. Service, as always, was attentive and responsive. Friendly and warm too. Waited a bit too long as the cloakroom guy was on the phone attending to someone trying to make up their mind on a booking which took 10 long minutes. Tried to bypass but was not allowed to, even though the rest of my party was already there. I've always found this place a bit noisy. This visit, I experienced the full house noise level. Not pleasant. Hard to talk. But no one was rowdy, just noise levels were unacceptably high. Another not so pleasant point was that the tables were all so close to each other, guests and wait staff were bumping into me every so often to get by.

#WhenInLondon so the plan was to do a fine dining experience per country and after rigorous research, we settled on Hawksmoor. We were NOT disappointed!!! The food was absolutely amazing!!!! I also tried a new drink called the green snapper (a spin on the Bloody Mary but green with a pickle flavor .. it worked). For starters we had the mussels (5/5), scallops(5/5) and bone marrow (3/5, BUT we’ve never had it) we had the T bone and tomahawk for three with garlic mushroom and mash for the main (5/5) if ever in London, treat yourself it’s well worth it. Atmosphere was calm, service was A+, Josh was the best, very catering
