This restaurant has an incredible wine list, and the food is amazing. If you’re not sure ask the waiter what is the wine recommended doe what you’re eating. Service is nice and the food is absolutely amazing. Menu changes a lot so you never get bored!

10 Greek Street is as discrete and unassuming as its name. Small and spartan, with white walls, wooden flooring, and the dishes of the day chalked up on blackboards, it has that whole effortlessly chic thing down to a tee. Even the menus are casually rolled up and stuffed into a little cavity in the table, along with the cutlery and napkins, as if we were just hanging out down the local caff. However, the food, which is as simple and straightforward as the decor, demonstrates that 10 Greek Street is worthy of its place as one of London's top restaurants.

A low key yet beautiful restaurant that delivers quality food. I like that it is simple and non descript as opposed to a lot of other restaurants. The focus on good and service was great. Unfortunately you can't book in advance but it's well worth popping in to check availability.

Came in for a late lunch so only the small plates were available. Ended up getting the lamb in yogurt. It was nice, the presentation was gorgeous, but it wasn't mind blowing. The cost was high for what you were getting but that's partly London.

We followed with Old Spot pork with a Vignarola (an Italian spring stew made up of broad beans, artichokes, mint and parsley) £19 – the dish was finished with some fantastic crackling and the pork was cooked impeccably so that it was still nice and moist.  The Vignarola combined very well with the pork, adding tartness and wholesomeness to round off the dish.  Service was friendly but not especially attentive given the fairly low ratio of staff to diners.

Verdict: 10 Greek Street may no longer be on trend but their food is generally wonderful 7.5/10

10 Greek Street – named after its street address in Soho is a small, modern restaurant which seats around 30 diners.  The decor is simple and understated – off-white tiles, chalkboard menus and black unclothed tables.  The seasonal menu is updated daily. I ordered a special from the blackboard – guinea fowl, new potatoes, peas and summer truffle.  I had never tasted guinea fowl before, it has chicken-like white meat, but tastes slightly like pheasant, not overly gamey.

The Australian chef’s food is bold and creative in that classic ‘Antipodean’ way. There’s great experimentation and an inclination towards fusion food – but not in a contrived, studied way; it’s organic, natural, relaxed. Moderately priced and consistent, 10 Greek Street is rarely far from my foodie radar.

10 Greek St is a lovely, unassuming little restaurant in Soho. No neon signs shout its arrival, just a little 10 above the door- easy to walk by- but you definitely shouldn't!

10 Greek Street is one of those places in Soho that are recently gaining a lot of popularity, and there’s a reason why: their food. What a beautiful, amazingly well cooked dishes! The foie gras and rhubarb we ordered as a starter was lovely, but if you want my advice, skip this part and make some room for the dessert. The baked sweet potato gnocchi

So I'll just tell you why I like the restaurant so much.
On entering, the staff are always friendly and accommodating...Another thing which is pointed out time and time again is the wine list. What a good selection...
The menu changes pretty much every day, so there's no chance of you getting bored with the menu. ...

Soho constantly reinvents itself to attract fashionable, lively crowds to its bars and restaurants. With an exuberant mix of tourists and Londoners, it’s gratifying to find that a neighbourhood restaurant, much in the same style as Corner Room has sprung-up to fulfil an aching gap for good quality relaxed dining in the area. 10 Greek St merges industrial and minimalism, with a row of simple tables, a long banquette and wooden chairs.....

The interior comprised of black tables and pine chairs. It was minimalist but lamp shades added a nostalgic gastronomic touch. I then saw the kitchen with natural spotlight from above right at the back of the restaurant.

From the outside, it looked very unassuming and unexciting. Clean, clinical white tiles with a massive tinted window. If you don't pay attention, it could be very easily missed. Through the black door, the interior doesn't changed much. Magnolia walls with black tables and pine furniture, this has a retro minimalist austere plain style written all over, very linear and basic. Menu were inscribed onto giant black boards hung on the walls. The open kitchen is situated at the back, over looking by a counter, felt spacious and bright. Being a sucker for open kitchen, this hit the right spot for me.

This small new restaurant has perfected its minimalist-with-a-dash-of-quirky look very well, with its plain wooden chairs and no table cloths look. The originality come from little touches such as the water being served in milk bottles and the menu found chalked on blackboards and in scrolls rolled up on the table.

To me, this is a place for dinner rather than lunch, although I wouldn’t say no to either, frankly. And I’m prepared to forgive them the no reservations in the evening thing, because the food is so good. And I’m always happy to do the 6.30 pensioner special. And I really enjoyed it this time.

The Soho diner 10 Greek Street opened in February 2012. The room itself has fairly basic décor, a narrow room with bare walls, wooden floor and no tablecloths. There is an open kitchen at one end with counter seats supplementing the 24 seats in the main room. The menu is written on a blackboard and cutlery is placed in trays at each table.

Overall this was a successful meal and even though not all the dishes were spot on I loved the unpretentious creativity of the cooking. I know I’ll miss out, but I am still not going to queue, sorry. Please London restaurateurs, I beg you, could you please stop doing all these non-booking places?

When the buzz dies down, there's a decent little local bistro here, the kind you'll want to get to know. It's going to be there for a while, so don't all rush at once.

Soho is home to some of my favourite haunts in London, and it seems that every week another restaurant pops up to join the varied and diverse array that line the streets wedged between Oxford Street, Regent Street and Charing Cross Road. 10 Greek Street , like many of the newer additions, is a casual walk-in number (reservations only taken at lunch) with an airy laid-back dining space and buzzier bar seating at the open kitchen down the back. I arrived from my first lunch (yes, you read right) to find SB already at the bar tucking into a luscious mound of burrata. Having already eaten plenty of pulled pig and pickles at Pitt Cue Co. , I wasn't exactly starving but everything the kitchen (headed by Cameron Emirali, formerly of Wapping Project ) sent out looked so enticing that I couldn't resist a bite or two. A bar plate of Silver Mullet was perfectly executed - soft, flaky, crisped skin - and generously portioned at £6. Parsley-specked clams were equally tasty and served with a nicely

Diners can be forgiven for walking straight past this restaurant as from the outside the restaurant consists of a black panel, a semi-tinted black window and ‘ten’ written above the front door. There is no flashy name, entrance or décor and this is the beauty of the place.

This small new restaurant has perfected its minimalist-with-a-dash-of-quirky look very well, with its plain wooden chairs and no table cloths look. The originality come from little touches such as the water being served in milk bottles and the menu found chalked on blackboards and in scrolls rolled up on the table.

Although this may not sound appealing in a conventional sense, 10 Greek Street has already established itself as the fashionable place to dine, with a queue of carefree successful twentysomethings waiting in line to dine there almost every night. Though this queue is also partially the result of the restaurant only have 30 covers to offer, and the fact that they only take bookings for lunch.

Would I Want Seconds?
It’s the food, and not the décor that has boosted this restaurant to fame, as each dish served is faultless, including the free bowl of delicious bread which is placed on the table.
Although the menu is limited the flavours in each dish ooze in a way only an experienced or naturally talented chief born solely for this profession can create. In addition the menu isn’t an easy one to cook, as diners will find none of the easy classics on offer, instead dishes are composed of exquisite base ingredients such as queen scallops, duck liver, mussels and wild mushrooms. This is a menu the likes of which I have not seen in many other restaurants and as a result I would definitely want to keep eating it.

Could I Afford Seconds?
After a meal here diners will probably need another course as the portions can also be described as being on the minimalist side. The prices here are not as high as its direct competitors’ in Soho (Polpo being one of them), but a main course will cost you between £10- £20 depending on what you order, as the vegetarian dishes are cheaper than the ones with exclusive cuts of meat. Desserts cost between £5-£7 and small plates are about £6. Although this may not sound like a lot, for the sizes that are served it can’t help but feel like a bit pricy.

Overall:
Soho is one of the few places in London where certain restaurants become fashionable for a period of time. 10 Greek Street is certainly in season at the moment and so worth paying the price if you want to be seen as keeping up with current trends. However the food here is delectable and I would definitely recommend the unique dishes they have on offer here even if fashion is not your thing.

After a gloriously sunny day, 5pm rolls around and of course, the heavens open. I dart through Soho, desperately searching for dry surroundings and foodie joys. I stumble across a subtle doorway and into 10 Greek Street, practically falling into the arms of a waiter. Whilst dripping raindrops all over the place and garbling about not having a reservation, my brolley is whisked away and my dinner date and I are shooed over into a cosy, corner table, safely within the warm ambience of this little find. Apparently, it's not just trendy burger joints that run a no-bookings policy- this was a nice touch and gave a sense of spontaneity to an otherwise linear and plan-focused dining mentality. We opted for some Austrian wine, a surprisingly delicious, dry white that can be ordered by the glass, bottle or carafe. There are a range of great quality reds and whites, as well as some classic cocktails and even modestly priced prosecco. We were left to sip and chat, disrupted only to be brought a basket of soft, artisan bread that was dunked in oil and devoured promptly. After some time to peruse the menu- a paper scroll with somewhat of a rustic feel to it- we ordered a dish of baby artichokes, red onions, pine nuts, broad beans and goat's curd. This dish was a fantastic array of flavours and textures, yet maintained a simplicity that allowed you to taste the superior quality of each ingredients. The sweetness of the onions, crunch of the nuts and creaminess of the goat's curd all worked in perfect harmony with each other. Foodie heaven! Alongside this, we nibbled some crispy calamari; fried in flavour and served with some zingy aioli and lemon. It was a perfect portion to share between two peckish punters who had just finished the last of their carafe and discovered their hunger at the bottom. After these nibbles, I was quite sated; the range within each dish gives you a sense of satisfaction sooner than you would normally anticipate. However, soon came the result of our eyes being bigger than our stomachs- fried polenta, wild mushrooms, burrata and sage. Again, a perfect marriage of fresh ingredients that each provided a different element to a well-rounded, flavoursome dish. With excellent quality ingredients and a simple yet unique approach to food and its presentation, the kitchen have done themselves proud. The ambience and surroundings mirror this; it is classic, subtle, unpretentious. The atmosphere is serene and effortless, and the very small size of the restaurant adds to a sense of intimacy, or having discovered an eatery that goes unseen by the rest of London. The only downside (if I'm being really picky) is the tininess of it; whilst charming, we did become best buds with our neighbouring diners. However, all in all, this restaurant was high on my list of favourites, hitting high scores for ambience, service, food and décor. Simple, chic and classic; an all-round spot worth falling into!

At just 30 covers, 10 Greek Street is a small restaurant in the heart of Soho with a no bookings policy. Queues are commonplace at peak times, the best time to nab a table is late lunch/early dinner most days of the week. The menu is just one page long which includes a series of ‘small plates’, mains and desserts

In town to purchase Mr Silver's wedding suit, we decided to have lunch in nearby Soho. 10 Greek Street has a very unobtrusive presence on the major Soho road, but stop by and you're in for a treat.

The restaurant is tiny and the decor is simple, with an open kitchen and the menu rustically etched on a blackboard over head. The little place has a huge energy and as it was packed with people it felt buzzy and alive.

Cuisine is modern European with mostly Spanish and Italian influence.

We started with a glass of Chapel Down English sparkling wine. I'm not to keen on the pink stuff, often overly sweet, but this one was crisp and dry.

Water in old milk bottle added to the rustic feel.

The bread selection was utterly delicious and the helpful waiter told us it was freshly baked every morning.

We decided to share a couple of starters

Bisque, prawns, mussels, clams and orzo was a perfect heart-warming choice for a cold day! For a bisque, it was light with only a touch of cream and plenty of beautifully cooked seafood.

Also seared scallops, fennel puree, green olives and blood orange. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the fennel puree a lovely and slightly unusual accompaniment. The portion was a little small though and sharing it meant only one scallop each. We savoured what we had though!

Next to the main course

Veal chop with spinach, jerusalem artichokes and wild mushrooms. A huge portion to satisfy the always hungry, Mr Silver! Both of us love mushrooms and artichokes so we chomped happily on these. The veal chop itself was tender and delicious.

I chose another starter for my main course as we also had dinner plans in the evening and I've got a wedding dress to fit into! Mine was squid, n'duja. baby spinach and peperonata. N'duja is an ingredient I'd never tried before and I was informed its an Italian spicy sausage. I'm not a big meat eater but I was interested to try it and I love squid! The dish was beautifully executed, spicy with a smoky piquant oil running through it. Light, but perfectly balanced and filling.

We loved the food and the atmosphere at 10 Greek Street and agreed it was a perfect little gem in the heart of Soho. I will be keen to try the sister restaurant, 8 Hoxton Square, when it opens later in the month.

Next up a little walk round Soho and feeling chilly we nipped into the Soho Hotel for a coffee.

The Soho Hotel is one of the seven Firmdale Hotels in London (and one in New York).
I loved the boutique chain owned by Tim and Kit Kemp; each hotel has gorgeous, original interiors designed by Kit Kemp herself. All are totally unique with a modern, cool decoration and plenty of interesting and unsual touches.

Located down Richmond Mews, the hotel is also a little off the beaten track.

The Refuel Bar and restaurant is plush and comfortable making it ideal for afternoon tea or pre-drinks before a big night out!

It's was the perfect place to escape the cold and they do serve a good coffee!!

There are so many lanes and byways in Soho that you never know what you're going to find. Its just a matter of knowing where to look!

Let’s be honest it’s not cheap but at least it tastes good right? The portion though…. I had to go for another meal after the dinner. I’ll just leave it at that. You be the judge maybe I’m just a big eater? The staffs were very friendly but could hardly recommend anything so we ended up ordering what sounds good instead. Plating is awesome. Portion is small. Tastes is great. Came out of the restaurant with hole in the pocket. But will I return? Yes perhaps to try their seasonal dishes hence I have no clue what are the dishes anyway. Dessert was great !! Worth giving it a try in Soho!

I have been eating at 10 Greek Street for the last 10 years and have always loved it. The menu is small, the food is freshly cooked and seasonal and the wines are great. So when I had a poor meal a couple of months ago I reluctantly emailed the restaurant. The manager, Adam cared enough to offer me a free meal as he remembered me as a regular customer. Anyway I returned to the restaurant last night and the food was excellent. So I will be a regular customer once again and I will be recommending the restaurant to friends and colleagues.

We ate here last night at the bar after it being recommended by a somm from the East. Hands down best food, wine and service we’ve had in London. Trifecta!! We’re wondering how we become permanently attached to their seats. Just excellent. See you guys again soon. Also 75-80% menu is gluten free and they have a separate fryer so great for coeliacs.

The chefs shared their buttermilk sorbet recipe with me… in confidence of course.. I had their sorbet a few weeks ago, tried web recipes but no good results.. I’ll try again, as it’s so nice to end a flavourful meal with a flavour neutral but delicious sorbet. The tuna carpaccio and the chalkstream trout are so delicious and the trout cooked perfectly (see pic) to bring out the flavours. It’s not overpriced, compared with many restaurants, from a short menu, I can choose fabulous dishes that suit me and my mood and hunger. They lift my spirits. CH PS beforehand I enjoyed two cocktails at Swift in Old Compton Street recommended.

We had a drink at the bar before dinner since we arrived early. The food was good. But, maybe the pizzas would have been more filling and worth the price. The fried potatoes were really good and the desserts were nice as well. Overall, it’s nice, small place with a simple menu that would be good for dates.

I have been coming here since 2019 if not earlier and never disappointed. For visit number 10+, I just returned for the first time since returning to London after fleeing Ukraine Covid. The amazing food has not changed although the menu has. I love the mix of dishes, the ever changing menu taking in seasonal produce and the latest trends. If you can get in, I highly recommend a lunch or dinner. If travelling solo (like I do most times) or with one other, there is always room at the bar/pass.

I love 10 Greek Street! Been there a couple times already and I'm planning on going many more. Their menu is constantly changing, providing a new experience with every visit. The food is always amazing and very special. It is definitely recommended to reserve a table as I never had success with walk ins. Sometimes it gets a bit busy and that can interfere with conversation.
