Small thai-inspired restaurant. Very tasty food. Very inviting prices. It does not serve alcohol. Friendly employees. A good price-quality option. Closes very early.

Superb little, reasonable Thai cafe. The menu is very simple, the flavours are bold and the service is a touch below average. The food, it is tasty with great portion sizes too!
I've just seen the other reviews! I would still rate this place. Set expectations: this is more home cooked food with your bestie than it is showcase, plush London restaurant. If that works for you, please go, the quality of food is good.

Discovered this place by mistake of taking a different route. Very nice and welcoming staff!

Very affordable prices for the food, although the menu are quite simple. But I guess the most popular Thai dishes can be found here. From curries, noodles to rice dishes.

I had a stirred-fri veg with prawns in garlic, chill & basil. Simply flavoursome! Freshly cooked and filling! Very authentic too! Did I mention the freshly fried Thai prawn crackers! Yep, they were steaming hot! When they arrived!

Although am not Thai, I've had my fair share of Thai dishes in restaurants or delicately prepared by my Thai friends.

I Highly recommend if you need a quick bite that's affordable and satisfying for the tastebuds. One of my Go To's from now on!!

Best value for money for the area, decent portions for the price. Like that they keep the food relatively spicy and don’t cater to much to the English palette. Chicken is halal which is great, however, it’s not the best quality (texture and taste as slightly off), would give 5 stars if they used a better supplier. Spicy rice could be a bit less plain, maybe add some veggies, egg etc. Noodles were decent. Some side sauces would have been a great addition. Would recommend the spicy fish & would come back again. Thanks!

Really generous portions and cheap for London. It’s more Thai food for an English pallet, not so authentic but still very delicious.

Delicious Thai food and fantastic service! The owner and staff were so welcoming! There was an incident in the streets while we were ordering that startled the adults and greatly upset the children in our group. The owner and staff made sure we were safe and offered us free drinks and snacks to calm our nerves and comfort the children. We had ordered take away to take to the park, but they offered to let us stay because of the situation and were very accommodating. We even offered a tip for their kindness which they refused insisting that it's what anyone would do, but it was far beyond what most would do! Besides the hospitality the food was so good! Excellent flavor, fresh food, good portion sizes and a perfect level of spice! Everyone in our group was pleased with the dish they chose and came away with full, happy bellies! We found out the restaurant was started 20 years ago by the current owners mother. She should be proud of the wonderful son she's raised and the legacy in the excellent food and service her son continues to offer! I would definitely recommend if you enjoy Thai food and would absolutely return if I have the chance!

Food is delicious! We had spicy fillet fish, chicken in green curry and soup with coconut - delicious! The spicy fish is the best. We got there late afternoon so maybe food prep took a bit of time. It’s a simple eatery with around 4 tables and a bar setting that sits 4 - being by the window that faces the street, it’s a cozy set up. Not a fancy place , tucked somewhere near Regent street, and the food is what we expect good Thai food to be.

They became more expensive. The waitress was friendly, the food was okay, it was not my favorite but I guess that’s personal taste. The portions are REALLY big, I didn’t eat all of it

Thai West Cafe was an amazing find. Authentic and delicious Thai food. The food was delicious with the perfect amount of spice. The staff was so caring, helpful, and understanding when there was an unexpected event that resulted in us needing to change from take away to eat in. They were very conscious of our allergies and wanted to make sure they got it right. The owner was wonderful! He is definitely making his mom proud!!

Happened to be passing by when we were hungry before a theatre matinee on a Saturday. There was a decent turn over of customers, all ordering tasty-looking food. The concept is simple - choose a base (rice or noodles etc) and either one, two or three main dishes. We had two mains and a plain rice each and ate in - it came to £10 each. We would come again.

Found this restaurant on a trip into London with the family. Our Mother has a lot of food allergies so finding somewhere to eat can be challenging. They took great care to tell us all the ingredients and make sure that the food was safe. There was an incident of organized theft nearby while we were waiting for our food and a mob of people ran by screaming. The owner was calm and collected and made sure everyone was inside and felt safe before explaining what had happened. We returned a week later and the owner recognized us and talked with us for a while. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is good, and the price can't be beaten in Soho. Beyond all of that the owner is one of the most genuinely kind people I met in London.

First off the spicy fish is amazing my favorite dish here. My family loves their massaman curry. One of the most reasonable price places to eat in SoHo. The staff and owner are very friendly and welcoming. If there tables are all full just take away and enjoy their food at Golden Square around the corner. On my first visit their my wife and kids were ordering take away while I was around block. During this time there was an organized theft/riot that went down the street. It happened so fast but the owner was quick to react and got my family into the restaurant to safety and locked the doors. Once everyone was safe inside he calmly explained what was going and that they were ready for such an incident. I am so grateful for the owner and staff for this. A week later my wife and I went back to pick up some lunch. When we walked in the owner instantly recognized us and asked how the kids were doing and how’s the family. Just amazing people making amazing food in London! Don’t skip on the spicy fish!!!!! Thank you Thai West Cafe!

This is a hot take given all the positive reviews but I thought the food was mediocre. It's more of a cafeteria than a cafe in that the food is pre-made and you just walk up to the counter and point to what you want them to dish out to you. I'm rounding up to 4 stars because it's cheap and the servings are large. I didn't think the food was spicy or particularly flavorful.

Great little place in Central London for affordable Thai. The food was good and the atmosphere was basic- it is a cafe experience, not restaurant. My only gripe was crackers served in plastic bags. Not very environment friendly. Other than that staff were great and brilliant location.

Popped in to try takeaway having read online about this place. One veggie option which was veg green curry. Very tasty and appropriately spiced, and plenty of it. Would be even better if they had another appropriate selection for veggies, and recyclable containers. There is a queue out the door, very popular spot, bring cash.

Fantastic little thai cafe serving authentic dishes. Me and my friend had a pad gra pow which the chili and basil stir fry, pad see euw noodles with chicken and prawn and a pad cha which is made with pangasius fillets. All were delicious. The 2 stir fries also came with rice and for 7 to 8 pounds per dish it is fantastic value for money. Everytime I'm in London and want a tasty meal and want to save the pounds this is where I'll come. Far better than Kiln which is just down the road from here.

I don't understand how this place manages to fly under tehr radar. Its really, really good. Went in the evening with the Mrs, had two hearty plates of good, traditional Thai food (easy to share one plate for two), payed less than £30 and the attention to detail and care of the service was amazing. Truly a hidden gem, I'd hurry and go there before if explodes and you need to wait an hour outside to get a place, surely will happen in a few months...

One of the best Thai lunch spots in Central London......I make sure I eat there every time I'm around Mayfair or Soho. Great great value for money and the staff are always super efficient. Food is just brilliant.
