Nice and cozy little bristot style place! The food is very genuine, French inspired but unpretentious. As a starter got the steak tartare which was good, got the duck breast as the main, which had all the right flavors, well balanced and presented. Finally, the sticky toffee pudding was comforting and delicious!
Good to very good food in the French style, attentive friendly service and a pianist playing a selection of tunes to dine by. A small place with a larger than life atmosphere redolent of a Paris bistro in the 1970's. Reasonable prices for London. A neighbourhood gem in an area where there are many alternatives. Has Formulé and Prix Fixe options. Excallent value.
Excellent. Outstanding value for money with quick and friendly service, very cheap set lunches (8.90 for two courses) and most importantly, extremely good food. Portions are very generous.
The crispy pork belly, duck leg confit, grilled mussels, and seared scallops are particular favourites. Desserts are a little more hit and miss, so sticking to starters and mains might be a better option. The menu changes slightly depending on the season and available ingredients, but some of the dishes remain throughout the year.
It gets very crowded at times, so do book ahead in advance! Wholeheartedly recommended and in my opinion one of the best restaurants in London.
Pierre Victoire is a a great value, reliable cosy brassiere in Central Soho. I have been here many times in big groups & I have always had a good meal here. The set menu is cracking value at £10 for two courses, you will see the standard brassiere dishes on the menu: omelettes, baked salmon, steak & chips etc. Plus you will always get a basket of freshly baked baguette to nibble on before before your food arrives. When I visited last time I had squash & Stilton soup (unusual but really works!) followed by a bacon & goats cheese salad with a lovely balsamic glaze. Looking for a reliable good value joint with enough choice for everyone? Here is your place!
This two-storey French bistro, has a very cosy, traditional French vibe. Contributing to the ambiance is the lovely piano player that plays jazz on the weekends.
The quality of food is just excellent. Really, really delicious traditional French fare. Their pan-fried duck breast with dauphinoise potatoes is out of this world and they do an excellent steak and pork belly too. Unfortunately, the steak tartare was a bit of a let down with the taste of the gherkins and vinegar swamping all the other flavours. Nevertheless, as I said, the rest was top notch.
Their set menu is a real steal if you're feeling hungry early or having a pre-show dinner and eating before 7pm.
The service is a bit hit and miss and you may sometimes need to make an effort to call a waiter over, but this wouldn't stop me returning.
Food: Tres a la Francaise. You will get your basket of freshly baked warm baguette. The menu changes very often but I have NEVER been disappointed with the food quality. They know how to make their meats and even the salads are full of flavour, oh and the onion soup too! The options are diverse to match any taste! Price wise, for the quality, you may even think its underpriced!
It's very unique in what it offers, try it out
and most of all, enjoy!
Atmosphere/Seating: Quite dim but ambient. As for seats, book your dinners especially on weekends. A restaurant you can take just about anyone to!
Location: Just off Oxford Street, very central!
Bon Appetit!
It really has the rural France vibe. I recommend their pork in mustard gravy. The waiters are a bit fussy, but it kind of adds to the "authentic French" experience.
Absolutely loved my dining experience at Pierre Victoire! The French cuisine was exquisite with every plate full of intricate details and a burst of flavors in every bite. The atmosphere was simply amazing, creating a perfect ambiance for a night out. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and fast service that made us feel truly welcomed. The only downside was the slightly high prices, but I would still highly recommend Pierre Victoire for a special night out in Soho.
From the inviting atmosphere to the impeccable service, our experience at this restaurant was nothing short of delightful. The authentic French cuisine transported our taste buds to a different world, filling our group with pure joy throughout the meal. The onion soup was a masterpiece of flavor and the duck, an absolute delight. The well-curated wine selection added the perfect touch to our evening. An unforgettable dining experience!
Good old French bistro in London that I’ve been to so many times. I would always recommend to my friends/ family whenever they visit London because this is truly a gem that anyone shouldn’t miss it. This cozy bistro has left the best impressions! Delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, good wine list and wonderful dessert. The food quality is at high standard considering the price is reasonable. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.
One of our our group was really interested in finding a Duck main dish while in London and after a bit of searching we found this restaurant. Reservations are very necessary as it is a small place, and the tables are very close together. It can get pretty loud but not to the point where you couldn't have a conversation with your group. The Duck breast dish was everything my friend wanted, and the rest of us had excellent dishes as well. The prices are reasonable for what you get, and the location is excellent for the northern part of the theatre district. We will likely return!
We had an excellent quiet lunch here instead of going to another place down the street. The atmosphere was much more laid back and comfortable than the other place would have been, and the food was fresh and delicious!
There are plenty of options and the servings are generous. We came away full!
Really decently priced and the staff are really lovely. The only downside is that food is generally too salty (not too bad, but you do need a lot of water to wash that saltiness down!).
Tasteful French cuisine for a descent price. Value for money. Delicious onion soup and mussels as starter followed by rabbit and duck. Typical French atmosphere.
Amazing restaurant. I will always return to Pierre Victoire, a perfect place for any occasion. On Monday I celebrated my 25th with a table of 8. The owner and his staff had great service and the food, as always, was fantastic. My friends messaged me the next day saying how they loved the restaurant and how they all feel lucky to have discovered it. Till next time! ❤️
I couldn’t recommend more of this place??? Excellent location, literally 1min away from Elisabeth line Dean street exit. Very easy to find. Food wise, everything was so good, but I do have some favourite dishes! The scallops were a must, so tender and fresh. The bavette with fries were so good, very tender and full of flavours. The apple crumbles and the crème brûlée were amazing too! The staff recommended us a white wine, it was not too sweet or too dry, very on point. This restaurant is very easy to book, a lot of time slots available. Be prepared to have a bit loud environment and although the service was quite fast but they were so busy so maybe patience is a must too :) trust me it’s all worth it, the food was so good, we felt like we went on a journey to the Mediterranean, will definitely go back again. Oh forgot to mention, they have two course set menu for £20.9, and you can add a small amount of money for upgrades, will try that next time!
This is one of my all time favourite restaurants in London, I love to make a reservation each time I visit! The food is consistently good and the menu has really interesting options to choose from which I enjoy. Each time I'm here the dishes are delicious, it never disappoints! It's also great value!
