One of the best places in the area that serves a delicious variety of food items at reasonable prices and prompt service with the help of a very friendly and professional staff.
Great Tapas restaurant between Covent Garden and Leicester Square with art deco glass, candlelit tables and large wooden booths. Has a good lively atmosphere with music and live flamenco on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8pm. Good selection of tapas, cocktails and four types of sangria...
After a few pints at a pub, the husband, his friends and I headed here for some Tapas.
El Diablo Sangria, Arroz Negro with prawns and squid, croquetas, gambas and jamon charcuterie. Lovely - all of it.
Good ambiance...it's dark but charming. Couldn't get good photos though (I hate using flash!). But who cares? We had a good time.
Next time would like to go when they have some live music and dancing.
Had a great night out here. Came at 6.30pm before a West End show and there was still a great atmosphere inside. The jug of sangria was delicious and generous. Enjoyed all the beautiful tapas. Our highlights was the pollo alla romesco, spanish meatballs, charcuterie selection, calamares and patates braves. The gourmet society discount of 50% made the price very worthwhile. If we weren't so full after the beautiful tapas, would have loved to try the good selection of desserts. Great location and friendly staff.
I was expecting an overage restaurant and food for tourists based on the location but I was greatly surprised by the lovely atmosphere and the well presented Spanish food. The set menu is good value for money.
Excellent Sangria. Authentic Spanish tapas
Excellent. I've been to Salvador and Amanda's a number of times and each visit is a charm. The tapas is authentic, the service warm and friendly. Food is served quickly and the ambience is wonderful. I have no concerns whatsoever inviting people to dine with me here, as I know it will please them no end. If in Covent Garden or Leicester Square, pop in, it's divine.
This brings us to my third trip to a Salvador and Amanda restaurant. I arrived Thursday night very early. The sky was crystal blue and the sun poured over every inch of London. When my blogger mate arrived, we were quickly seated at our table. They also double checked I was using my Tastecard. Our table was super tiny and between two other tiny tables which featured other diners. This made taking pictures difficult. I identified myself as a blogger so they knew why I wanted a little more space and better lighting, if possible. We had a few achievements to celebrate, so champagne was in order, of course! Next, we chose food from the Tapas menu . This was the third time I’ve had their Calamares fritos con alioli. I wish this one would’ve been a bit hotter, but it may have cooled quickly because my dinner date and I were talking so much and time was flying. We also ordered the meatballs that you saw above. Again, not so hot. However, my repeat of the Gambas al ajillo (Pan fried shell-off
When we stumbled upon Salvador and Amanda I wasnt expecting much thanks to the location, but we were pleasantly surprised. We went quite early so none of the live music had started so we could hear eachother, and the tapas were really good. The wine was reasonable and the four of us had a great night, although out by 9 so missing the evening part where i hear it gets a bit more clubby. Would definitely go back.
Great location and music, but mediocre service and crowd.
I came for a birthday party on a Saturday night. There was a long queue to get to the bar and I found the place to be a bit understaffed. The song selections were fantastic - late 90s/early 00s - but the music was so loud that having a conversation with my friends felt like a screaming match.
While the red ambient lighting creates a cool and sensual atmosphere, it's not enough to warrant rushing back here anytime soon.
Lovely Spanish restaurant in Leicester Square Central London. Very typical tapas to eat over here and I think they tasted great. I would still give 5 star ratting for here. Live music was playing over here on Saturday afternoon. Overall, worth coming here for an afternoon brunch or just quick meal before theatre.
Went for the Loco Brunch. Food was great and service. Unfortunately our table was right next to a speaker and it was very loud making chatting difficult. Other than that it was great place
Food and sangria amazing! The pre-theatre menu is great but a little confusing. Service started well and then we were just ignored for a long time which was a shame. This place is certainly better than it looks from the outside, worth a visit for the food but the toilets were pretty awful!
Lovely little tapas restaurant , the calamari was lovely and so was the spread of olives, cheese , bread with olive oil and the cured pork. Avoid the large king prawns very fishy and not great taste. The service was brilliant and the sangria is a must have really nice.
Was a bit disappointed as there was no live entertainment as stated on the Friday night we arrived at 7:30pm till 9:45pm then left due to no live music!!!
Delicious food and really good amounts provided, we could not finish all the food as it was a lot. Great service, all waiters were very friendly. The only downside is that we went for dinner on Saturday night but the dance show was only until 5pm which is not good for the busiest night of the week.
I was here for a friend’s birthday party and had amazing food. I love the way they present all the tapas. The best one I vividly recalled was the croquette and the Spanish omelette. The ambience was really good too.
The best tapas bar and live music restaurant in London! Incredible evening, the venues Spanish décor is stunning and sets the scene for dinner of delicious tapas to share. Their signature jugs of Spanish sangria are top notch, and the live music from their house Latin band made the whole evening. Highly recommend if you're looking for a dinner/drinks spot in Covent Garden!
Loved the lighting and comfortable seating. The staff, Jordan, Simona and Simona were friendly and helped us select dishes which were delicious. I liked the ham and potato croquettes, the fried Mahon cheese and the lamb skewers. I'm not usually a cocktail drinker but I tried a few of the cocktails and loved them all. My favourite was the citrus margarita! Also, can't leave without mentioning the spicy chicken wings, cooked to perfection and super tasty!
Had a lovely time here! Bottomless Sangria (red/white) was so good and the food was delicious. My fave dish was the lamb skewers. Music was great. The service was good too. Will definitely be going again.
Fantastic little tapas restaurant right in the heart of Leicester Square. Great food and great vibe. We went at 8pm and the Latin music started kicking in about 10pm then all the customers started dancing. Very attentive staff and very reasonable prices. Thank you, had a great night!
Good spot for tapas! Really enjoyed the gambas, the calamari, and the goat cheese croquettes. Service was good, albeit a bit slow. The place has a really interesting vibe, it’s completely red and feels more like a club than a restaurant.
I am so impressed with Salvador & Amanda. I booked a long table for bottomless brunch on Saturday, for a hens party (14 x girls). The staff were so welcoming, super accommodating & the food was really fantastic. Of the 14 girls, 8 had dietary requirements and everything was well accommodated for, especially those with nut and gluten allegeries - the waiter would ensure plates with allergens where given to the correct person. The live music was a great touch, and not too loud or overpowering. Was the perfect balance and I'd Seriously reccomend!
Quite a cool establishment. Quirky interior designs and ambience.
Wouldn’t of known about here had it not of been something found online prior.
Set menu brunch meal for two was plenty and extra bread was served when asked. Very smiley and helpful male waiter.
The live music was a nice touch too. Glad to of visited and nice to not be another generic chain restaurant vibe. Would recommend. Oh and the Sangria was very nice too.
