It has an American diner vibe with loads of beautiful bikes around. Great ambience.
I am a Pescatarian and they didn’t have any fish dish to accommodate me. I ended up having vegetarian burger and some veggie skewers . I was not in love with the food, it was average.
Been to the Bike Shed a few times already, for dinner or brunch. Great place for motorbikes, lots of cool apparel and bikes, spacious restaurant area and dog friendly. Food is good and of American influence, friendly service. People on bikes can come and park with no problems so it's absolutely great for riders.
Loved it. The food and service was fantastic, and the motorcycles were what we came for. It's a great spot to ride to; the kind of place that's missing from many cities
The Bike Shed in Shoreditch is a motorbike enthusiasts dream. Housed under the arches off Old Street, is a club and membership based hub for lovers of all things bikes. You can roll up, park and chat in the exclusive parking space to the side or drop in for some grills and beer. The Bike Shed as a brand has a huge following, staging events, hosting meets, organising rides and generally keeping this niche community up to “speed” on everything two-wheeled and power-driven.

Setting up home in Shoreditch at this fitting site is a win for them, because there is so much space to build on the social aspect of this club. Yes it is a bar and restaurant, but it is also a shop with biker gear galore and some pretty impressive bikes on display centre stage, as well as a barbershop.
We were lured in by a bona fide member and even as motorcycle virgins, we were impressed with our surroundings. As our group of five sat down, we scanned the menu which was full of good hearty dishes. As we were quite a big group, I will break down the food and courses.
Me! Chicken liver pate. This is a fave of mine and I was not disapointed. Smooth, creamy, livery (if that is even a word) and bang tasty smothered on crispy bread. For main course, chicken breast wrapped in parma ham on a bed of parsnip puree and kale, with red wine jus. Lush!
Others, for starters dishes ranged from goats cheese salad, ham hock croquettes and chicken drumsticks. Main course options were the big ass burger piled high with cheese, bacon, onion rings and salad! Succulent chicken burger with onion rings, celeriac and radish slaw. Burgers were served with chunky chips. One of my companions went for the chicken breast in parma ham as I did, and finally our fifth diner had cumberland sausages with mash and yummy gravy. This gorgeous grub was washed down with one of the best old fashioneds' I have had. Others also went hard-core with gin and tonics or mojitos.
All in all, the food was great! The place whilst not busy on this particular night, still had a buzz to it. Our waiting staff were so sweet and friendly. The only negative was the Manager who was really ripping into them at every opportunity, for no reason we could see. I get it, sometimes team members need to be taken to task, but in front of customers, really? Not cool.
This did not spoil our evening, but we were so sympathetic to those guys who were really working the room well and keeping everyone happy from what we could see. A little advice, staff morale is key to your success, someone give that Manager a chill pill.
Big Love to the Bike Shed!
Went to the bike shed in Shoreditch with a biker friend for breakfast. Great ride through London to get there, and was definitely impressed with the ambience.
Breakfast for us was a double espresso, and eggs florentine. Nicely poached eggs, perfectly runny (could have been seasoned a bit more). Kale was nice and fresh, and the hollandaise was light.
Great bike shop within the restaurant, and a barbers!
Definitely go again if in area.
An attractive, ample space with a cool vibe and comfy leather chairs. We popped in for an afternoon snack and I was surprised by how good my quail scotch eggs were. Really big portion for a dish that only costs £4. Perfectly runny yolks, delicious sausage coating and served on a little bed of dressed rocket. Service was a little on the slow side.
One of the best meals I've had in the UK. Fantastic service. Went to the extra mile to get me a shirt I really wanted (FYI - their apparel store closes at 7pm!!!). Burger was tasty and good.
First visit to The Bike Shed and it was worth negotiating the 20 mph restrictions/ inconsistent Bus lanes (now motorcycles can use them, now they can’t) and cyclists to whom the Highway Code doesn’t apply. Service was first class as was the greeting from every member of staff I came into contact with. Food was great. Being bald and 62 the Barbers and tattoo parlours were not so much of interest but I managed to find something to buy in the shop. Again, very pleasant service. Safe parking for the bike. Got to recommend this place !
Took a ride up from Dorset for lunch It was an easy to find felt welcomed straight away show to our table which I pre booked online, A large jug of water was brought to the table whilst we looked at menus, Ordered our food had Burger and chips cooked to perfection no complaints nice juicy burger had stilton and mushroom added to it was just the icing on the cake so to speak, Had a little look around the shop bought some items.
The overall feel of the place was great The staff where very nice toilets were clean sorry but important to me. I also spotted a doggie being given a free sausage chopped up for home when a couple had some food to me it's these little things that make a place Great.
Great Job keep it up
Highly recommended.
Absolutely loved this place. Amazing atmosphere and truly a bike lovers dream.
Friendly staff, well decorated and the food was amazing, I had the fried egg and pork belly roll. Hands down, one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.
Will definitely be coming back!
An amazingly unique space for bikers and non bikers alike, great atmosphere, riding in on a motorbike past all the tables is fun. The food is 10/10 and the staff are really friendly. There's even a barbers and tattooist within the same building.
Unique parking for your bike, last time I drove through the restaurant they cancelled my booking and I got an akle bracelet. Burger was so thick I struggled to take a bite, service was great, didn't get a haircut and tattoo..... but I'm sure they'd have been great too
Love the entrance into the place. Has to be a bike ride into, past the tables, into garage. Leave your stuff on the bike and walk through. Journey from the Midlands so food was top of the list. The shop has quality stuff. Iconic placeg
Outstanding concept offering the biker and even non-rider a combination of attractions under one roof. Great feature of motorcycle covered parking accessible by riding through the restaurant outdoor seating amongst the patrons seated at their tables.
Food quality and presentation is top notch, which is very seldom the case with 'concept restaurants' as the focus falls on the concept and food quality is secondary but not so is the Bikeshed! It holds it on ground as a quality restaurant. Finally a place that bikers can get a great meal while indulging in your passion!
For all you bikers out there that may think it's for 'posers' think again, real bikers, real food, real fun!
This is a nice place. Simple menu with tasteful covered. The chorizo, macaroni cheese croquettes are really good. Any of their nibbles are good. The house burger is really tasty with truffle mayo. Environment is open, music is not loud therefore you can have conversations, it is really comfortable and open. Os course decoration is mirror bike based, with some interesting ones recorded throughout the place.Staff is nice and very friendly. Highly recommended.
A great spot for breakfast in Shoreditch.
I visited The Bike Shed Motor Company yesterday with a friend for breakfast. We were both looking for somewhere with outdoor seating, and this place fit the bill perfectly. The weather was beautiful, so we sat outside in the courtyard.
The service was excellent. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. He made sure that we had everything we needed, and he even gave us recommendations for other dishes on the menu.
Overall, we had a great experience at The Bike Shed Motor Company. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast in Shoreditch.
