Light-ish dinner because of all that eating we’ve done the last couple of days ... @wrightbrosltd never disappoints. We also had fish soup and baked crab but polished those off, forgetting all about photos!

Wright Brothers is always a great experience. Amazing sea food and lovely people. The oysters are obviously great but the clams and fish are also great. Try the Spanish Oysters (oysters with a cooked spicy Chorizo), the Sea Bream and the Cod.

Our visit to Wright Brothers was to prove quite entertaining.  It sounds a bit weird that a non-oyster lover would visit an oyster shack like Wright Brothers.  I do enjoy the fried variety but raw modes are a little less to my liking.  It just feels a little as if my body is being invaded by some slippery, slimy alien.  Good thing I left such molluscs to my dining companion then.

I have something of an oyster fetish.  I can happily eat 10 or 12 oysters in a sitting though usually I don’t get the opportunity.  But, I’ve never tried opening them – partly a fear of failure and partly lack of a shucking knife.  So an invitation to Borough Market to Wright Brothers Oyster and Porter House was right up my street. Wright Brothers founders, Ben Wright and Robin Hancock founded the business in  2002 as a wholesale operation and  now also run 4 restaurants in London (Borough, Kingly Court, Spitalfields and South Kensington).

We ordered an assortment of 12 oysters for two people. One of each different region. The oysters were simply delicious. A glass of white wine for each. We were at the counter where we could see the staff preparing the seafood. The price is a bit high but good oysters are not cheap.

Best fresh oysters! No better place in London. Try the jersey oysters and the fried oysters they are heaven in a shell. The staff are very helpful and will recommend the best items

Wright Brothers is a good bet for oysters and other sea food - so good, in fact, that the dozen (plus one!) oysters that we ordered for starters was gone before I even thought of taking a picture! For mains, we had a half-portion of moules marinière (quite generous, in fact) and a delicious pan-fried cod with crushed potatoes, tomatoes and tarragon sauce from the specials menu, all washed down with a nice and fresh Albariño.

The place is relatively small, and consists of a bar and some tall tables (with relatively comfortable seats). The service is professional and efficient, if not particularly friendly.

Perfect place for a protein top up after a half marathon. It's open on Sundays and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unusual seating and handy racks suspend your fruits de mer over the narrow bar allows a little more elbow room than you would have thought. Fresh generous helpings of seafood and good wine list make for a very pleasant lunch indeed.

Great location right next to Borough Market. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. I didn't have oysters but went instead for the Whitebait starter followed by Fish Pie, as they had run out of razor clams. The starter was a generous portion and delicious. So often Whitebait can be too dry and crispy but this was fresh and delightful. Not the same could be said of the Fish Pie which was too salty by far only I guess to make u for the bland flavours from the fish within. I did like the place despite this and would go back as I am sure the over zealous seasoning was an exception and not the rule.

Oysters galore!. Best oyster selection. So fresh and delicious. You can even just have some at the Borough Market if you don't want to go in to eat.

Good seafood, relaxed but buzzy atmosphere and efficient service in the heart of the oldest London food market; that is the recipe for success of the Wright Brothers. My personal favourite: Japanese-style oysters with wasabi, ginger and soy – brings the sea to London!

A friend and I decided go to  Wright Bros  at Borough Market for a recent lunch, because we both felt like having some fish dishes and Wright Bros  specialises in exactly that.   Wright Brothers at Borough Market: Potted shrimps & toast (7.5/10)   Wright Brothers: Potted shrimps & toast (7.5/10)   Wright Brothers: Fish soup, rouille, gruyère & croutons (7/10)   It had been a while since I’d been to  Wright Bros  and although I do remember that I was satisfied after every visit, I’d forgotten just how much I like their dishes. This visit brought my lousy memory back to the forefront.   Wright Brothers: Salmon & smoked haddock fish pie (7.5/10) Wright Brothers at Borough Market: Salmon & smoked haddock fish pie (7.5/10)   Compared to their sister restaurant, that is located in Soho, the original  Wright Bros  is quite small and compact. As a result the ambiance is lively and very cosy & quaint. You can either sit around one of the several barrels, behind the bar overlooking the kitchen

B's dad raved about Wright Brother's Oyster and Porterhouse the last time he was in town so we went to check it out on a (relatively) warm Saturday afternoon. Borough Market was packed when we got there, as was Wright Brothers, but we had made reservation

A few weekends ago, fools that we are, we visited Borough Market, on a Saturday afternoon. Needed a rest pretty much as soon as we got there and went for a celebratory oysters and champagne treat at Wright Brothers following some good work related news. W

Wright Brothers started out in 2002 as a humble wholesaler of oysters, specifically of the French variety. Today, they are one of the country’s most respected wholesaler supplying hotels and restaurants as far as Bath, Bristol and Christchurch. Similarly,

A fish restaurant located in the heart of Borough Market.
Fresh oysters are on the menu and many other delicious things. A small place perfect for dinner with friends.
In the afternoon drinks are served at the bar and you can sit outside.
The Staff is really kind.

If your going there for the lunch, I recommend you to have a walk in borough market to find your desert...

Enjoy

What a place! Intimate, intense and amazing food. The staff couldn't be more helpful and patient. A must for any Londoner, Pint of stout and Oysters...
Can be really rather busy at the weekends so would advise booking to ensure a table. otherwise can perch at the bar. However in the summer the windows fold back into one of the best people watching spaces in Borough.

I've only visited this restaurant once, because every time I try to go, it is packed with people, and it's extremely difficult to get a table. If you are lucky, you're in for a treat. You can indulge in fantastic plateau of oysters and order a good table wine. Although they charge quite a lot for food that is not very filling, oysters are really just a luxury, but one we should all invite ourselves to once in a while. There is a very social feel to this place, as everyone sits very close together to enjoy their bottles of Rosé, and share oysters.

We finally had the chance to dine at this popular restaurant. It’s located just outside the Borough Market and near the London Bridge. It was busy when we were there. Booking is essential. This place is very intimate and has a bar. An upscale restaurant and has a modern vibe to it. The food was tasty and delicious. I truly enjoyed the Linguine Vongole. Service was excellent. Quick and easy. No wonder it’s always busy. Fully recommended!

We had all seafood meals. Service was fantastic. The oysters were good yet probably not in their best seasons. The monkfish tasted great. Just that the lobster was slightly overcooked. Overall it was a pleasant experience dinning in this restaurant.

Never tried Wright Brothers before because I thought it just did oysters. While at first glance the interior does resemble a Spanish dive bar the atmosphere is cool and the service is good. I got a window seat at the bar, so I could watch the chefs in action and it was quite impressive seeing them in action.I went for the sardines to start which were grilled to perfection and were accompanied by a salad and salsa Verde. For my main I tried the grilled prawns which were succulent and came with more salsa Verde salad and fries. As usual I finished with a double espresso and enjoyed my visit. Fresh, tasty seafood cooked in front of you at a decent price. What more can you ask for?

Love this place so much, fantastic seafood and great wine. We loved all the dishes we had, especially enjoyed the Cod's Roe and soda bread. We visited during happy hour so Oysters were only £1 each.

What a little pearl of a place in the heart of Borough Market. Incredibly friendly staff. The oysters are even better. We also loved the scallops and the sardines with a few glasses of Cremant. No better way to celebrate 24 months with your loved one.

The Bar is nice, busy on weekend, so i recommend making reservation 1st. As a seafoodie, personally, the seafoods here is quite nice, i went here the second time, and ordered same dish of seafood platter, but i feel the portion now is less than before. I really like oyster and Whelk, they are fresh and sweet. The whitebaits and fish soup also nice as well.

Oysters 🦪 is a must here! They were quite pricey but definitely worth it! We got served right away and sat outside. I guess that’s why they wanted us to pay immediately but still - felt like they didn’t trust us and made me feel a little bit unwelcome. I still understand tho.

Perfect setting sat at the counter chatting to one of the chefs. Great to watch them prepping. Food was stunning. Wine excellent. I think value for money. Quality produce prepared and cooked perfectly. Staff were attentive without being overbearing. Some great bars next door for a pre and post drink.

Location 🔝 and atmosphere brill. It was Our groups first pit stop for a stomach stomach stopper before touring the rest of Borough Market. We had the assorted oysters… from Ireland, Scotland and Jersey. Had no idea oysters could tast so different or be so tasty. Staff were great in explaining the nuances of oyster tasting. One member of The party had a steak, a special low flank cut, little bit tough but cooked with attention and very tasty with spuds and lettuce included and cabbage as a side. All despatched with a glass of white wine suggested by the staff. We ate standing up outside but the atmosphere was just as jolly inside.

My partner invited me here for dinner and he couldn’t have chosen a better place to make me happy! We loved the atmosphere, the staff, the seafood and the wine (a good bottle of white wine from Croatia, so hard to find in London!). The seafood we had has definitely been the best one in London so far, fresh bug oysters and seafood ceviche it’s something you don’t want to miss. The manager and the waitress have been incredible, very professional and friendly at the same time. I would definitely come back, hopefully soon! Thank you

Central and great atmosphere. Book ahead to avoid lines. Recommend ordering items from their seasonal blackboard menu, whitebait, sole with this lovely Italianesque tomato peppers olives sauce, fresh seafood platter (cockles were delicious and sweet, oysters and sardines unfortunately not in best season), wines. Rating 3.5

Amazing food! In fact I came back a second time the day after the first visit. Tuna was so delicious and so was the monkfish tails. I do like the atmosphere of the place too! Very cosy and relaxing! I like it too as you can sit at a stool at the bar (ideal if you’re on your own) Service also excellent. Recommended to lots of family and friends.

The freshest oysters. Excellent seafood and wine selection. Recommend the platter or grab whatever fresh Oysters they have for that day. Visited Borough Market on a Tuesday and needed to escape the crowds. Small oyster bar specialising in fresh seafood. In a word Fantastic. Fresh oysters from Ireland & UK with glass of wine, magic!

Booked here for some lunch as friends were visiting from out of London. The plus side was that there was place to sit in borough market and we didn't have to queue. My only down side though is they packed us in quite tightly inside. The food was very good though, and the oysters were delicious, and again, unlike the crazy long queues outside for oyster bars, we could sit and eat.

I decided to venture into Wrights Brothers having been - dare I say it - a tad intimidated by a world that is branded, portrayed on vans and, let's not forget, a part of the Borough market collective. Not that this is a bad thing. It just is a presumptive thing. As a result, I was delighted by the reality. I was not expecting great fish and seafood, yet was presented with that. I thought, "Oh, drinks will be what they are." Yet, they were not! If you want to experience beautiful seafood, fish, and the combo that takes you beyond expected norms - then go to this place. I thought it would be pretentious. It was everything but that. If you love seafood, fish and great service, then go. Also, if you are a fan of a good Martini then I will also recommend a visit! Enjoy!
