Awesome place that serves a vast array of delicious and filling platters and drinks at the best quality and prices with the help of a really nice and friendly staff not to mention the highly prompt and punctual service too.
A unique style of Italian cuisine is was you get at Goat, located on one of the best streets for eating out in Chelsea. With the restaurant on the ground floor and DJ bar on the first floor, my friend and I had an amazing night.
We enjoyed dinner on a Thursday night, and she suggested we sit by the window to enjoy the some people watching along Fulham Road.
We began by sharing the starters, each delicious in their own way. I loved the burrata, datterini tomatoe and salsa verde, as the cheese was creamy and delicate. The tuna tartare with avocado, chilli, mooli and tamari was also great, with flavours that paired well with the fish.
For my main dish, I chose the roasted monkfish, taggiasca olives, datterini tomatoes and capers. The monkfish melted in my mouth, while the mix of complimentary flavors was delightful. My friend opted for grilled rib-eye steak tagliata, 28 day aged, rocket and pecorino, and she was very satisfied with her choice.
For dessert, we just had to try sticky toffee pudding with vanilla gelato, and the vanilla and blueberry cheesecake, which we also loved. After dessert we decided head upstairs to the bar to finish our wine and try some tasty cocktails while enjoying the music.
It was a great night at GOAT, and I’d highly recommend the experience to everyone.
It has now been three times that I have been to Goat, and I must say Goat offers a wide range of Italian dishes. It has 50% off on Wednesdays if u show your postcode is local.
We ordered pizza with bresaola, parmesan, pesto rocket and truffle oil. Pizzas are wood fried and toppings were fresh. My pizza was very tasty -not the best pizza in London. I had higher expectations, but there is nothing to complain about either.
On my second time, I ordered rib-eye steak tagliata with rocket and pecorino. It was nicely presented, however it was overcooked. For dessert, I ordered witchy toffee pudding which was served warm, with vanilla ice cream. It was delicious, worth to try for sure.
Finally, I decided to go for the wild mushroom risotto with truffle oil as main and macaroni and cheese as side after reading reviews. They were equally delicious! Risotto was cooked perfectly and mac&cheese was amazing.
Overall, I enjoyed dining at Goat. Would recommend to try mushroom risotto and macaroni&cheese. Will certainly go back.
The Goat is a regular of mine. Great outdoor area for summer, upstairs bar and secret speakeasy in the back with great cocktails and creative bartenders! The music is fun and dance-y so it's an all-in-one spot for dinner and a night out with friends. The food is truffle everything! The tuna sashimi, burger, truffle pizza and quinoa salad are my classic choices. And you HAVE to have the polenta fries with truffle mayonnaise - probably my favourite item on the menu!

Goat has a special place in my heart because it’s where I met my husband. Back then, however it was a dive-y pub called The Goat and Boots. Goat, as it stands now was refurbished a few years ago and has become a neighborhood favorite. It was a lazy Saturday when we went ad Chelsea was playing. Goat was one of the few places not full of rowdy blue jerseys so we went to have a bite. I’ve eaten there several times before and my favorite thing on the menu for a light bite is the black quinoa salad. The portion size is actually quite decent for the starter, which means I usually pair it with something less healthy, like the truffle mac and cheese.

What I stumbled upon once as pure coincidence, has now become an all time local favourite on the corner of Fulham road and Park Walk in Chelsea. Once a traditional pub, Goat has been nipped and tucked into an uber chic gastro pub serving nothing of what one might expect by walking by. Abandoning the cliché of ‘reinterpreting’ traditional English pub cuisine, chef Marco Museli presents an array of delicious Italian dishes served to an impeccable standard one would expect from any top Italian restaurant. The chef does pay homage to the past life of the restaurant by serving one of London’s most delicious burgers which is topped with pancetta; a burger that every Londoner ought to try. It has now been three times that I have been to Goat, and on all of my visits the consistency of the good food, great service and lively ambience has cemented it in being a local favourite perfect for a Sunday lunch in the sun, or a nice easy dinner any day of the week. When it comes to food, aside from the delicious burger, the pizzas are an excellent choice, which are wood fried and prepared with the simplest and freshest of ingredients. A favourite is the pizza with bresaola, rocket and parmesan, as well as the traditional margherita pizza. Both are fresh, and light, yet filling pizzas cooked to crispy perfection destined to please the harshest of pizza critics. With all the delicious food at Goat however, the smoking gun is the extensive cocktail list with cocktails rivalling London’s top bars. A must-order is the Earl Grey Martini, served in a bone china tea cup, and accented with flavours of lavender making it unparalleled in freshness and flavour. If ever in doubt of where to dine in Kensington and Chelsea, Goat is a definite choice that just keeps winning every time, and with a tucked away speakeasy style bar: The Chelsea Prayer room to its back, its also a solid choice for a night out in Chelsea.
The Fulham road is awash with very shi shi restaurants, people reeking of pots of cash and designer clad babies wearing amber 'teething' necklaces.
It's also home to a smart looking restaurant called Goat, the menu of which seemed to have been written especially for me. Bass 'cooked' in citrus juices, beef carpaccio and tuna tartar being three of my favourite dishes in the culinary spectrum meant choosing a place for lunch a rapid decision.#
My friend, being a big fan of pizza and burrata, a creamy version of mozzarella, had no hesitation in ordering toppings of prosciutto San Daniele, burrata and rocket with a basil reduction. (£14)
I decided to go for the carpaccio (£9) and the tuna tartar, (£8) especially as the latter was served with wasabi mousse.
A pale PInot Grigot blush, la maglia rosa arrived in a 500ml carafe (£16) - a wine of bright summer fruits, delicate floral notes and a crisp acidity with a beautiful dry finish. Terrific start.
My carpaccio arrived, handsome as hell. Just cutting into it with my knife I knew I was in a for a very good mouthful. Wafer thin, dusted with shaves of truffle, perky rocket and tangy parmesan, I was like a pig in the proverbial.
The pizza arrived and again, was a lovely thing to behold. An appropriately thin and quite delicious base (I tried in vain to get the recipe) was topped with generous slices of San Daniele, pools of burrata, spankingly fresh rocket and a hint of basil. Together it was just superb, no two ways about it. I don't think I've seen burrata on a pizza in the UK, of that I'm pretty sure.
My tuna arrived, perhaps a little mean on the portion size but the delicate 'pearls' of fish were soft, without a doubt sashimi grade and quite delectable. If I have a small gripe it would be about the mousse. No heat whatsoever which was a tad disappointing but flavoursome none the less.
The service was extremely pleasant, the seating outside spacious and comfortable and so Goat is a place I would come back to in a heart beat. Some of you may be reeling at the price of the pizza, (the bill came to £52 including service) but it comes back to my way of thinking about great food - it's hard to come by and if I get presented with near perfection (and don't let's forget the rent in that part of London) I wouldn't bat an eyelid at the price.
Bravo to them.
I have wanted to go here for a while now and it did not disappoint. The goat is fun, chic with a energetic atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful and the mounted rams head and a painting of a drinking goat fits perfectly with the restaurants trendy aesthetic.
After being seated by the window and enjoying a delightful pinot noir the starters arrived and were delicious. The carpaccio was tender and the burrata smooth and creamy. The mains were equally delicious, the steak even attracted some jealousy from passers by who were leaving the bar upstairs!! Unfortunately I didn't take photos as I was far too busy enjoying myself however I have been told the pizzas are fantastic too so I'll have to go back soon!
The Vibe
In a City obsessed with hidden gems, where every fridge, nook and cranny seems to be home to a sneaky watering hole, I’ve taken to whispering passwords at pretty much anything these days – toilet seats included, and knocking for hollow walls. So the ‘Prayer Room‘ upstairs at The Goat has a tough act to follow, but holds its own against fierce competition. Say you’re there to “repent for your sins” and get a secret code that opens a hidden door into a den of opulence. Inside, it more than meets expectations; reaffirming why the speakeasy is such a popular first date choice: flattering candlelight, sofas to sink into side-by-side, vintage charm aplenty and dare I say it – jazz. There are plenty of conversation pieces around to help with general ice-breaking; the menu comes in an old hymn book, cocktails arrive in beautiful crystal glasses – even the shot (on the house no less) came in an antique shot glass, not to mention the potency of the beverages themselves. We are not breaking any new ground here, but the formula ain’t broke. Anyway, it’s about time that Chelsea caught up with some of the Hackney staples (vintages touches and tattooed staff). The only giveaway that you’re still in the Royal Borough is the well-heeled crowd. Famously, the artist George Morland had to pay his bar bill here with a painting. Today’s drinkers don’t look like bills are a problem.
The Order
The drinks have as much substance as style. Get the Little Tokyo (plum wine and egg white), which is different and effective. Tread carefully with Death in the Afternoon (champagne, absinthe, lemon). The food hails from the pub downstairs. This is New York diner fare with a gourmet flourish – fries here are made from polenta and drizzled in truffle oil and are delicious. The burgers are a safe bet, though not the easiest first date fodder, but perhaps wise if you favour the Dutch courage approach to dating. The best thing we had was the ‘Nduja (spicy pork) pizza, which I’ve been craving ever since.
The Game
Get the timing right as you don’t want to arrive too early. Start the night with dinner downstairs (or outside if it’s still warm) and then head here for a more intimate drink if things are going well. You leave by the back stairs so you needn’t worry about staggering a little after the absinthe-laced cocktails – or getting a little frisky. It’s perfect for a cosy winter date with extra cachet, and a welcome addition to the repertoire of the West.
The Faults
The Chelsea crowd, though great for people watching, do clash a bit with the trendy, shabby atmosphere.

I just visited Goat and I must say that the service was excellent. Aside from the food being amazing, just as I suspected it would be, the service was exceptional. Our waiter was very kind and helped with deciding exactly what to order, even the host popped by occasionally to check up on how our meal was and recommended desserts.
I ordered the wild mushroom risotto with truffle oil, and just as the name suggests, it was delicious. The rice was cooked to perfection and far from soggy with generous portions of wild mushrooms delicately dispersed throughout the dish. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and look forward to going back.
Goat is a nice restaurant situated on the busy Fulham Road easy to get by bus from South Kensington.
The place is very cosy and the atmosphere is very warm with super friendly waiters.
The menu is vast enough with quite few starters, a nice selection of pizzas, fish, burger and steak.
I ordered the monk fish which came with a super delicious asparagus risotto which tasted better than the fish. I mean it was cooked perfectly but it had no seasoning whatsoever which made it a little bit bland.
My friend ordered the burger and she asked to be medium done and they made it perfect. The meat was so juicy and very yammy with really nice paprika fries. She absolutely loved it.
For dessert we ordered sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and pecan pie.
When we ordered the bill we had 50% off on the food as a neighbourhood discount which we found it great, especially that we didn't expect it.
Overall we had a nice experience and we will go back to try some more food.

Want to kick off the weekend with this truffle macaroni & cheese?
Of course you do.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves - first, let me introduce you Goat. It's like a dressed up gastropub, right at home in the heart of Chelsea. It's a little out of the way from any nearby tube stations, but it also means that the surrounding area is quiet and cosy.
The inside is lovely - nothing too over the top, but classy, comfortable and the staff are great. They have a proper wood-fired oven with logs of wood lining the walls, and I thought the ribbon of cucumber in our water was a nice touch.
I probably didn't read the menu all that thoroughly, as I had only one thing on my mind that day - a big fat burger. E was on the same page, but also couldn't resist ordering the truffle mac & cheese when he saw it. I didn't exactly fight it.
While we waited for our food, we chatted about nonsense and had a black & white photoshoot. Don't judge.
Enough about us, on to the food.
We were actually pretty impressed with it all. My burger was a tad more on the side of medium than rare (I always order medium rare for burgers), but it wasn't at al dry and the flavour was spot on. The macaroni was very good too, not the best we'd had but nothing to complain about either. The fries were great and were sprinkled with a bit of paprika, which I thought was a delicious idea - it completely took me back to my teenage years when I used to gobble up paprika Pringles by the handful.
As for dessert - yes, we had room ok? - our waitress told us the cheesecake was hands down her favourite, so we went with it. It didn't disappoint, which is good, as bad cheesecake can be a little bit heartbreaking. Not quite up there with the one at La Petite Maison or at Cecconi's, but not too far either.
All in all, we were left very content, and enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe of Goat. If you live in the neighbourhood, you get 50% off on Wednesdays with a proof of address - shame we don't live in SWanything, but even without the discount I'd be happy to go again!
Do you have a favourite London gastropub? Or close to where you live?
Disclaimer: I was very kindly given a gift voucher from Zomato that covered the expenses for this delicious meal. All opinions are my own.
Classic case of an old boozer pub gone gastro, however, this pub has taken gastro to a gastronomical level.
In short; I had beer, steak and Mac n cheese and walked out with a grin on my face.
The long story... I'm slightly in love. Not because the waitress was exceptionally good looking, not because when I asked for my steak "really really rare" (a found necessity in England, as your temperature scale is very different to that of Switzerland, where medium is considered overcooked) she replied with "we do blue", And finally, not because they serve ice cold larger in an ice cold glass. But simply because their Mac and cheese is, "the bomb" . Crispy on top, runny inside and cheesy, what more could you want? Let the Goat tell you what more you want, you want your delicious Mac and cheese side served in a rustic looking bowl with a small, yet potent splash of truly irresistible and utterly exquisite truffle oil. Turning that delicious Mac and cheese into the source of satisfaction you didn't even know your yearned for.
Don't get me wrong, the steak was good, well aged, nicely cut and perfectly (hardly) cooked. But sadly for the steak, tonight was not it's night, for tonight belongs to Mr Mac and cheese, the side plate champion, the sideliner who stole the show. The cheesy culinary slum dog millionaire. The show stopper, the breath taker, the heart breaker. If you're ever strolling down Fulham Road. Stop by and tuck in. You won't regret it .
Goat restaurant is a restaurant located in the Chelsea area and it has an Italian/American cuisine. The restaurant has a nice bar as well and offfers home delivery, takeaways and outdoor seatings and private dining.
I went there to have a dinner with a friends and ti have a few drinks. Would recommend to try the Pepperoni and Mozarella Pizza and the salad with Tuscan Bread, Baby Octopus with sweat and sour taste! Great venue with kind and positive service!
My friend went for the calmari in black olive sauce it was a bit dry but we requested more olive sauce although once the sauce was made the waitress realised we were done with the calamari she was very observant and apologised for it. Matter of fact our french waitress was very warm welcoming and attentive throughout she kept an eye on us.
We also had brocoli as side dish and macaroni and cheese as side spotless. I orderd the burger as main it wasnt under cooker or over cooked perfect just the way i like it. The fries were nice and generous portion.
We ordered a bottle of italian red wine angelo nero davola a bit dry but not bad.
Total bill 56gbp which was reasonable comsidering the area. The decor was cosy but a bit dark. The restaurant seem to have pet friendly policy which is good if you have pets.
Verdict: its a nice place awesome food friendly staff worth checking it out loved it and would go again
On a beautiful gorgeous Sunday afternoon, a walk along Fulham Road to our lunchtime destination, Goat set the scene. We made a 12 o'clock reservation to celebrate me and the bf's 3rd year anniversary. :)
The environment is clean and elegant with a lovely atmosphere. Cool music was thumping in the background. It would be very chilled out if not for the noisy 2 year old birthday party taking place downstairs. You can tell this is a very child friendly restaurant!
You get the feeling that Goat is a favourite local's haunt, it definitely has a buzzing vibe.
For drinks we ordered a Budweiser and a glass of white wine. The wine was light, sharp and is the perfect pairing with a fish main course.
The service was friendly and very quick. Professional and courteous always wins us round.
The first main we ordered was crab and chilli linguine, which was lemony with the right amount of heat and very tasty.
We picked the macaroni cheese as a side dish. This was a delightful little pot of creamy, hot pasta! Personally I prefer it super cheesy, but if you like it mild- this will be the option to go for.
The second main dish we went for was the monkfish and risotto. The risotto had delicious chunks of asparagus and peas. This was super creamy and a very generous portion. The fish was moist and succulent, you could taste the delicate flavour.
Given the main and side was of decent portions, it leaves you feeling very satisfied. We decided to share a dessert and went for something light: a Lemon meringue pie.
The pie was nicely presented, though there was no wow factor, but it was very pleasant.
Given the fair price, location, service, decent sized portions and quality of the ingredients, this is a thumbs up place to eat and chill.
Thanks for the great experience Goat!
I like this place and would def go there again! The risotto is amazing!
This is a lovely modern pub/bistro type venue. Eye catching interior design, I had the T-bone steak sharer which is for 2 people. Cooked to perfection (I asked for it well done), tasty and delicious side dip. Highly recommend.
Had a pleasure to dine in The Goat two days ago. Such a lovely, cosy place! Great food and even better cocktails !! One of the best martinis I ever had. Great service, lovely Jade took care of us and she was amazing. Very recommended!!!
I went for bottomless pizza which was delicious. So many toppings to choose from and the pizza is well made wood fired dough. The menu here is a good length with options for pasta brunch and more. It's a casual gastropub in a peaceful but accessible location and the pretty pink cherry blossom tree with disco balls is a nice touch.
It's such a nice place for a Sunday roast in the heart of chelsea 💙
The food is great and the staff is friendly
I ordered the gnocchi expecting it to be boring and it was incredible! I'll be dreaming about that for days. All other food was also delicious, great service fast and friendly staff.
My only complaint would be the one gents toilet, which was occupied the entire time and they recently removed some mains from the menu so now it's pizza or pasta only. Otherwise highly recommend!
We shared a few dishes during a quick stop and enjoyed this beautiful hostoic place.
Worth travelling to visit and great for groups!
It's been a while since I've been, and under new ownership I'm really impressed. The staff have been fantastic and really friendly. Historically booking was hard but the team were really accommodating with our team visiting.
The food arrived quickly and the pizzas were huge! I'm also really impressed by the cocktails too. The little touches haven't been forgotten too, cucumber in the water was a nice touch. I think the new owners really care about making the place great.
I didn't have any food here so can't comment on that, however the cocktails we had were absolutely superb, as was the service, definitely recommend
We came to the pub to celebrate our anniversary and we had an excellent beef Sunday roast which was recommended to us by your waiter. There was live Chicago blues which really set the atmosphere.
We were served by a waiter named Harry who was friendly and attentive. Great food and amazing acoustic music.
Really enjoyed our meal here. The Staff were so friendly, particularly Jade, and the food was so good. Loved the calamari and the pizza we had was delicious. Much improved from our memories years ago. We will be back!

First visit at The Goat this evening, my friend and I ordered baked potatoes, aubergine and a chicken pizza to share. Our waitress Pagan mentioned the potatoes are a new dish. Her service was discreet and attentionate. The food was tasty, with the pomegranate seeds on the aubergine an interesting twist. The owner asked us if we could leave a review, which I gladly do; we will visit again.
Always love going to The Goat for food, but their recent new menu is incredibly delicious.
My favourite dishes definitely have to be the romesco potatoes and wood fired chicken! Service was excellent, friendly and professional staff.
If you fancy a cocktail afterwards, the speakeasy is worth the trip upstairs ;)
Great little dog friendly gastro pub. Lovely interiors, very friendly staff and service. The pizzas were amazing and a very good menu selection.
Great atmosphere with a wonderful wooden frame and outside terrace in the sun. Even without the Happy Hour, all the cocktails are really. So when IT IS happy hour, it compares with paradise. Waiters are very welcoming and the food is excellent. Definitely a place to come back to !
Amazingly good food best steak, the event here are on another level. Issy the waiter is so down to earth we want to take her home!
