Very sweet place for date night or girls night out. Margaux has a cosy atmosphere which was perfect for the rainy night that it was. Enjoyed every dish we had and the service was excellent. Will definitely be back.

One of my safe harbours in Kensington, whenever I don't know what to do for dinner or don't feel like trying something new, this is one of the places where I go the most.

Went to this lovely French bistro style restaurant on Friday eve. It's in a lovely part of the Old Brompton Road near a crossroads and surrounded by good quality restaurants, pubs and bars. Very chic and cosy.
Inside is smart and relaxing, lighting is low and there is some nice artwork on the walls. Furniture and decor is funky.
It was fairly quiet and the service from the young waiters and waitresses was very attentive, they provided great advice on the food and extensive wine list.
For starters we had grilled aubergine salad and prawn ravioli, both really tasty.
For mains we did chicken supreme and beef bourguignon and polenta with lovely roasted veg. Sound bland but both dishes we were of flavour with wonderful sauces. Had two glasses of different red wines, both gorgeous, the wine list is stunning.
The tables are a bit close together but an all round lovely experience.

We had a warm, exquisite, and special dining experience there at Margaux. The ambience was of a classy French restaurant. The services were prompt, and staff were polite and attentive. The complimentary amuse-bouche and petit four in the end were a nice gesture. The entrée of green asparagus and peas velouté was smooth and flavoursome. The Caesar salad served with a whole Cos lettuce dressed in creamy sauce was definitely unique in its presentation. We ordered 2 different types of fish and they were cooked to perfection. Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience.

Great overall experience with delicious food. The octopus had the perfect texture, tender yet not overcooked, and the scallops with crispy ham chips were my favourite. The duck was really good. The atmosphere was really romantic with the dimmed lights and a classy design. However, it’s a bit pricey and the dessert - Bombe Au Chocolat was nothing special.

I tried the octopus and truffle gnocchi appetizers, followed by the sea bass fillet and the duck main courses. The appetizers were good, but the mains were really delicious. The sea bass was cooked perfectly and so was the duck breast - not too fatty but extremely juicy and flavorful. The service was very good and the atmosphere was friendly and casual. The prices are fair for what you get.

Very cute French restaurant situated just a few minutes from Gloucester Station. Very inviting, it has two floors. Waiters are very knowledge and friendly. Food came very fast and very good quality. Extensive list of wines, bottles start from £40, but also you can have a good selection by the glass. We had one started each (Tortellini with crab), it meant to be in blank ink but they didn’t have it at that time. Still really good flavour and good portion. A few starters can also be a main paying a little be more. Grilled octopus was good too, a bit salty but tasted great. As mains we had the roasted duck breast and I had the scallops. That was my favourite dish! Perfectly cooked and big in size. I had a sorbet for dessert and we have the chocolate bubble which was great. Very relaxing evening celebrating my birthday. Prices are between £50-£60 per person depending on wine selection, of course. Highly recommended!

The most delicious autumnal menu for a rainy Friday date night. We loved everything - from the service to the meal. Don’t sleep on Margaux

Food was beautiful. We used the first table app to get 50% off. Even after the discount if was very expensive but it is Michelin starred. Nice for a treat but couldn’t afford it regularly

Such a great restaurant, the truffle gnocchi and yellowtail carpaccio were fantastic as well as the spinach. The burrata was average as well as the tarte tatin nothing special but the staff was nice and I would go back!

The ricotta & truffle gnocchi plus the beef bourgnion are out of this world! Duck divine too. Very friendly service. The only things that could be improved are the desserts, all rather underwhelming - the chocolate bomb looks cool but that’s about it and the tarte tatin lacks caramelisation. But all in all, it is a great place with delicious French food.

Despite the limited menu, every single dish I had tonight was spot on. The seared foie gras was very delicious and the roasted rack of lamb was nice and tender. The lamb croquette was another major plus point. Overall I would say it was definitely good value for money!

The other reviews almost allowed me to leave this gem of a a French restaurant out of my lists of places to dine, but it was superb! The service was excellent, the starter was surprisingly amazing, and the main was delicious. I highly recommend!

Fantastic food, extremely reasonably priced for the quality and great atmosphere. Don’t be put off by the exterior! We had a wonderful dinner here, a great mix of French with some Mediterranean influences (not as weird as it sounds). The gnocchi was the real highlight - order it if you can. Deserts were also sensational. They are busy so worth booking.

Amazing and deserving of is enviable reputation, this little gem is definitely worth a visit if you're in London - if you are visiting for an early sitting, book via firsttable to get a discount on the main menu prices. The flavours and technique shine through with high quality fresh ingredients used to create elegant dishes that bring joy with every mouthful. You'll want to lick the plate clean.

Wonderful restaurant with amazing food. Reasonably priced. Foie Gras was delicious although not as smooth as I would’ve liked. Had the lamb which was almost too big of a portion. Desserts were heavenly. Will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Although it's a bit noisy inside, I really enjoyed a lovely dinner there. Absolutely blown away by the extremely fabulous foie gras and the scrumptious crème brûlée. The main course is not that impressive, it's still really nice.

This restaurant became one of my top 5 restaurants in London! Starting with their humble atmosphere that does not fail to deliver all the comfort and ambient you need from a place to dine in, they have a modern design and a two level service space. Their food is magnificent, there was not even one thing that I could say is average! They were all perfectly done, beautifully plated and amazingly serviced! Among all great food they served,Their signature one for me was the ‘Foie gras’!
