Really good service. Neatly decorated place for its size. The sushi was pretty good but the seared salmon was the out of this world. The marination and the roasted cashew nuts were perfect. As desert, you HAVE to try the macadamia white chocolate cookie dough with coconut ice cream on top. You will regret it if you don’t.
Dear Diary,
Sushi is very important to me. So it’s obvious that I want my family also to love it. My parents had never tried sushi and were very skeptical about doing so. But this trip I was determined to make them try and so we went to Oka at Kingly Court and oh boy, was I pleased or what?! My parents loved their first sushi experience and now every trip can include a few sushi meals! Yay! We ordered the Karaage Chicken, Dragon Roll, Spider Roll and Mongolian Rack of Lamb and we loved it all! The sushi is very fresh, yummy and so cheap! They also do mean Lychee Martinis. Must must go visit!
Casual cafe ambience and good food from the rolls (salmon maki, spider rolls) to the bulgogi beef, salmon tataki and king prawns. Good friendly service and the food was served quickly.
Very good quality fusion-sushi. The salmon tartar was very well seasoned, and the tuna tataki was very well presented. The sushi rolls have a very generous fish/rice ratio which is very hard to find these days. The location in the lovely Kingly Court is just another plus. If you're looking for a pleasant sushi meal in central London look no further!
Decent honest Sushi that will not disappoint, place on the small side and selection of dessert is thin, but the tuna burger sliders and the hot cookie dough dessert will make you come again!
Tiny restaurant but the food is amazing. Inexpensive and delicious dishes, only down fall is very few selection of the dishes but I can highly recommend it to everyone.
Ive been to the one in Chelsea, which is newly opened, two days in a row.
I cant really say that I enjoyed their main courses, which are only few on the menu anyway. Even the sides, be careful when you are ordering the sides. Me and my friend ordered vegetable tempura, expecting a small dish, it turned out as big as main dishes. Even the noodles from the sides..
We also ordered chicken teriyaki as a main course, but it wasn't a chicken teriyaki or the teriyaki sauce was missing?!
On the other hand I should admit that the sushi could be one of the best in town! Thats the reason that Id been there two nights in a row. I highly recommend the sushi rolls under the specials. Also the others were really delicious too.
The service was good, caring staff.
The ‘blogger sushi date’ was a much-anticipated event in my diary. Months ago, before any of us had had the pleasure of meeting one another, Jaime, Angie, Polly, Lauren and I decided that we should all have dinner together. It didn’t take us long to settle on the cuisine – sushi, and what better a choice of venue for a bunch of food bloggers than a newly opened restaurant? Hence the five of us headed over to Oka in Kingly Court two Friday’s ago for a smashing sushi date.
As soon as we realised (on Twitter - naturally) that Polly had an evening free when she was coming back for her wedding five lovely bloggers decided to use this as the perfect reason to finally meet! It also happened that all of us had something in our lives to celebrate, so it was the perfect excuse (if food bloggers ever need one) to have some bubbles and go for sushi.
I've mentioned before that meeting other bloggers can be a bit like online dating...you've got plenty of 'chemistry' when you're tweeting, Instagramming and pinning...but what about when you meet in real life? Will the online chemistry still be there or will there be awkward silences and nothing to talk about?
I recently visited Oka with some lovely blogging ladies as we all have a love of sushi and pan-Asian food - and it was an excellent restaurant for ladies who love sushi as much as we do!
It's a very small restaurant in Kingly Court, with an open kitchen so you can see the chefs preparing your food. I love small restaurants as they feel more personal, but the downside is that even though we booked more then six weeks in advance, we could only get a table for 8:30pm - which can feel a little rushed considering the kitchen and bar close at 10.15pm.
However, the food itself was exceptional - very fresh and delicious. The menu is based on a sharing principle and doesn't have a difference between starters and main courses - you just order as many little dishes as you like. The highlights have to be the salmon tartar - so good that we ordered a second portion - and the dragon roll, which had tempura on the top of the sushi rolls.
The portions are generous and the price is very reasonable for the cuisine, quality and location - I'd highly recommend this restaurant for any sushi lovers.
For dessert we had all been eyeing up the cookie dough and ice cream - but were a little confused when we realised that the cookie dough comes already booked (is this not a cookie?!) and was perhaps a little overdone.
All in all, a great restaurant - but it's worth booking as far in advance as you can.
We loved it! We went there mostly for sushi and ordered the shrimp tempura for starter. It was great! The sushi was really nice as well particularly the dragon rolls. We also had creme brûlée and cookie brownie for dessert and both are a must try! Waiting time for the sushi was very little, the staff was very nice, and prices were okay considering what we ordered. We booked in advance to guarantee a table. Only concern is that the tables were so close to each other and it was a little loud.
Visited on a Wednesday afternoon and seated right away - though the restaurant was pretty packed. Ordered the vegan tofu roll, small yellowtail roll, salmon robata, veggie tempura, plum wine, and a Asahi. Everything was delicious! And priced well.
Only complaint is indoor the restaurant was quite warm - they did have windows open, but it still felt stuffy.
Would recommend for a nice, casual Asian meal.
Very nice option for sushi, and good prices for its quality. The service is very kind and helpful, with good recommendations. The lychee mojito is bomb! Try the truffle sushi roll, jalapeño roll and red dragon roll.🤌🏻✨
A quaint Japanese eatery, offers a good variety of options. The intimate atmosphere complements the impressive dishes,
We liked the particularly the melt-in-your-mouth ox cheek and the delightful Spider Roll Uramaki.
With its good balance of taste and texture, OKA delivers great value for money. A hidden gem, this restaurant is a good for those seeking a delectable adventure.
This spot offers an eclectic mix of dishes, with the Beef Short Rib (£14.95) and Duck Salad (£14.50) stealing the show. The tender short rib is intensified by chipotle sauce, while the duck salad delights with its unique combination of flavors and textures.
However, not all dishes impress. The quirky Tuna Rice Burger Sliders (£8.50) feel more like a catered event canapé, and the makis (around £12) are standard, though still enjoyable.
If you're seeking a fusion dining experience with a few standout dishes, this place is worth a try. Just be prepared for some hits and misses.

Every dish is very special and delicious. The atmosphere is very good for charging my appetite. The staff in the restaurant all have smiling faces and are very friendly. It is a small restaurant but worth trying.
Great food and drinks, reasonable prices given the location (cocktails are approx £10 each, meal portion would come to ~£25pp). A little small and tables are quite close but that is part of the vibe. Probably not suitable for celebrations or a big group, but nice for casual dinners. Quite warm in the restaurant probably because of the open grill in the kitchen area. Friendly service.
A super Japanese restaurant and with reasonably priced sushi which is a rarity in London these days haha! If you come to Kingly Court I’d suggest going to eat here. It’s quite a small, cosy and welcoming restaurant.
Everything was perfect and we were able to get a table despite it being the weekend. The food was all fresh and tasted great however some were overpriced for the portions (ex. The miso broccoli). The veggie tempura was so crispy and light and not oily at all. The sushi on the menu says 6-8 pieces and we got 6 pieces which can be annoying because it’s all the same price however I think it’s just how they cut it because we got some chunky pieces bla bla bla. Ahmed was very nice.
Taste: 4/5 - Good, tasty but at this price range I'm expecting something more, something different. I like the little twist they did with the classic miso soup, that did surprised me (in a good way).
Size: 4/5 - decent portion size, but still wish there's 2 more pieces for each roll doe.

Cozy place with excellent sushi and wonderful rabato (= grilled) dishes! Our favorite sushi roll was the truffle salmon roll and our favorite rabato dish was the Kimchi Chicken (see photo). The salmon bites were also very nice. You'll be seeing us again at our next visit to London! Cheers!
Fast and efficient service. Delicious food. What more do you need.
Fantastic food, great service and location. Love that you can see the food being prepared and that it is presented beautifully on the plate. It is a small restaurant, we should have booked but they managed to give us a table for an hour which was pure luck on a Friday night! Toilets are separate from the restaurant but with a code you can use the public toilets. I highly recommend the salmon and avocado rolls, so good we ordered more! Looking forward to another visit in the future.
Delicious Japanese food! One of the bests in London for the quality, price, ambiance, and service. Sashimi is fresh, rolls are flavorful and creative. Good sake too. Highly recommended!
It is a very small and intimate restaurant. Usually really busy so recommend prior reservation. The food is good and though the menu is not huge, all items are done well. I would argue that it is slightly on the expensive side but the food is of high quality. The portions are quite well sized. You should expect at least spending £25 per head.
