This place is very cosy and friendly. The staff is also incredibly nice. They have a very good collection of beers and a very pleasant space outside for sunny days. We feel really welcome, here

Great to hire for party. We held our daughter's christening lunch here and our guests still talk about how great the catering was! We were thrilled with every aspect of the service, the warm welcoming atmosphere of the pub and the friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this venue if you want a cozy gathering (we had approx 50 guests) in a tasteful surrounds (inside and out) with generous, lovely food.

Still a "Fantastic pub" in 2011!. Just a 2011 update - easily the best pub in Greenwich. The food has become even better and the selection of real ales and more traditional drinks is just great. Quiz nights and other events mean that the pub continues to have a busy and loyal following on all days of the week but still very welcoming to guests. Combined with friendly staff, beer garden with childrens play room. Can't fault it. Usually shows sports on TV and big screen but doesn't affect the atmosphere.

I challenge you to find a Sunday roast better than what this place provides. Great food. I'd recommend booking a table in the restaurant as it gets busy. Then if you get there and find you can get a table in the bar area swap to that - lovely local traditional pub, with nice friendly atmosphere

Quintessential Landon pub. Loads of fun, spectacular food! Delightful friendly service! Crowded, noisy. Perfect if you are looking for a non- stodgy experience!! The lamb on flatbread was memorable .

Bloody delicious spot for fish n’ chips! The family and I dined here just last night and I simply had to share the experience. Although the Sunday Roast is a popular item served at the establishment, we ordered the classic fish n’ chips. It was brilliant! If you haven’t been, the restaurant features a candlelit atmosphere, providing gourmet dishes as well as traditional pub favourites with an exciting choice of English and Continental Cuisine. My darling wife Lisa enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere, which was adorned with original claygate fireplace, enhanced by maritime relics and historical paintings; this aesthetic provides a feeling of being in a country pub whilst being in one of the world busiest and greatest cities. Overall, the Marino family enjoyed the experience! We will most definitely be back… hungry for more! Cheers, Giovanni Marino, M.D.

I really liked this pub. As visiting Orient fans we found the Charlton supporting regulars as friendly and welcoming, as were all the bar staff. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the famous cat, but that gives us an excuse for a revisit.

The new Sunday roast is incredible. It’s one of the best pub roasts we’ve had in Greenwich. The quality of the beef was exceptional and portions are generous. A great place to spend a Sunday in the sunshine. 5 ⭐️

Great little Pub in Greenwich. We caught a river taxi here, a short walk through the magnificent buildings of the maritime museum and here we are. Had the whitebait to start. They were large and plump, the batter was crisp and clean tasting(new oil) served with bread and butter and lemon slices, this was an adequate starter for 3. The main Sunday roasts were….. huge! The beef was really great in taste and texture and wonderful with all the trimmings; Yorkshire pudding, well cooked cabbage, carrot and beans……. The gravy was terrific and the wonderful wait staff bought more on request. The pork was equally enormous and super rich, even for me. A great place, beautiful food and a traditional yard for eating in. Awesome

Walked in after visiting the observatory and grounds. Immediately greeted by one of the ladies behind the bar who let me know we could order and sit or they would come to the table. The food was great, but be warned the portions are huge. We struggled to finish, but it was still delicious. The crowd was nice and not loud. Dogs are allowed in which I had no problem with as a few people had theirs in. Highly recommend if you're in the area and want a good meal and drink.

Really fantastic cosy pub. Visited on a Monday lunchtime, the beer was great, the food was delicous and the staff were friendly. We really couldn't have asked for anything more They were really cheerful and helpful when needing to adapt for allergies, which was very appreciated.

Meet an ex boss here on a fairly regular basis and I love the place! It's one of those rarities nowadays - a great, proper, old fashioned boozer that happens to serve fantastic food (have eaten there before, but not this time). Everyone behind the bar are warm and welcoming and it has the most enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere. If you've never been, you're missing out on one of the best pubs...and I mean pub, not bar, in London
