I would highly have to recommend this restaurant as one of the best I have ever tried! The chicken is always cooked to perfection and the tastes of the curries definitely put this up there with one of the best in London! Be sure to give it a try, the food is amazing and hits the taste-buds just when you need it to say the least. 5* All the way!
After a long day travelling, we were welcomed in to Khan’s with a smile & a table ready! We asked for spicy, and they delivered!! What amazing flavour! We could relax and finish wine & dessert at ease. The personal touch makes it a special place in this modern world. Looking forward to eating there again!
Guaranteed to serve you with what you’re looking for.
Always a pleasant experience at khan’s.
And whenever i’m in London and in need of some Indian food, it’s a no brainer for me.
Decent prices.
Helpful staff.
Fairly small but smart place. The waiters are in bow ties and jackets, but the rest of the decor is fairly relaxed and not overly fancy. The art is a little bit dated. The food was very well made and on par with any good Indian place I've eaten at. The menu is pretty much based around the classic dishes, this is not nouvelle-cuisine / modern Indian.
I am from Australia and was recommended this place. Food was absolutely delicious, service impeccable and prices very reasonable. They were very busy for a Tuesday night and we know why.
Located in central South Kensington, Khan’s of Kensington is an Indian restaurant serving delicious food. After a show at the Royal Albert Hall, we headed over to Khan’s of Kensington for dinner. We ordered palak paneer, garlic naan, rice and chicken curry. The portions look small but it is plenty of food, especially since the food is so rich.
My expectations where much higher for this place as i tried there food for home delivery and it was flawless. Dunno this time the food lacked flavor and aroma. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was empty just one person taking care of us.
Well close to the hotel so took a chance. Glad I did. Paneerwala was really good. Great sauce subtle flavors with well cooked chicken. The spinach side dish was fantastic I loved it. Service was spot on for me. Overall now one of my favorite Indian restaurants.
No matter how many international cuisines you try out in India, pardes mein jake Indian restaurant is a must! Spent a fortnight in London recently and mostly had salads, burgers etc. But this one evening, I was dying to have Indian dhaba food...kali daal, paneer, naan....and I must say Khans of Kenzington was not a bad idea at all. Its a small place, nothing great about the ambience, a typical dimly lit Indian dhaba in foreign land, well mannered staff, some desi and some firang customers. Not the most authentic kali daal but still they do a much better job than most of the so called Indian restaurants abroad. The naan actually tasted like naan. Had a good time and good value for money also.
The food was good. We ordered the pampadam that comes with 4 dipping sauce. I love the mango chutney. It was delicious. For the main we had chicken and eggplant. Both were tasty. I would recommend this place.
Food is absolutely delicious and staff is very friendly and polite. Really recommend if you like Indian food and a place with nice atmosphere
Well, restaurant was prompt to bring food.
The chicken tandoori was well marinated and well cooked and extremely tasty.
Ordered Paneer Biryani, it was okay but not really how a birtani should taste like.
Mango lassi was great.
Service was alo great.
For cost it would cost 25-30Pounds per person
Absolutely wonderful service, food arrived quickly and was super delicious! Great value for late night Indian food if you’re in the area. Highly recommend!

Service was amazing and very quick. Food was really good and made how we wanted it. Atmosphere was very nice, quite and clean.
To be suddenly in London overnight and have a limited (vegan).diet, finding this little restaurant was amazing. There were so few places I could grab an evening meal, and to find somewhere like this, discreetly tucked up a small sidestreet off a busy road, was great. I only had a chana masala (chick peas in sauce) and a wholemeal chapatti (which wasn't on the menu, but they were happy to serve me). It was just simple, clean food, which was exactly what I needed. There was no grease, so it was a healthy, protein rich dish (something that's has been very difficult to find in 30 years of vegetarianism). I highly recommend this place, friendly service, freshly cooked, no ghee, and very nice balance of spices.
The curries were lovely with the garlic naan, would recommend. However, wouldn’t really recommend the starters, the portions were small and it tasted average. The shop ambiance was quiet and the staff were friendly. On average £28/person.
Me and a few friends came here for dinner as we walk past it a few times. The actual premises is somewhat small and intimate. We were greeted by staff and got sat down.
We ordered a copious amounts of food as we like to share bits around. The starters included: onion bhajia, chicken chat and papri. These were quite nice and the portions were medium in size.
The mains we got were: saag ghost, tandoori mixed grill and another chicken dish with a funky name on recommendation of the waiter. The tandoori mixed grill was a bit dry and tough to break down. It needed a bit of force to dismantle. The other two main curry dishes were delicious, though.
We got two naan breads to share and 1 pilau rice.
For drinks, we all got Indian sunrises which was just fresh orange juice and some mango.
Overall, we were happy with the food and we were left satisfied but not blown away. The atmosphere could have been better, it was nothing special.
Would we return? Perhaps if there is nothing else in the area but not high on the list. There are no outright complains, just nothing mind blowing.
Fantastic Indian restaurant in South Kensington. 30 years in business, you have to deserve this. Full of taste but not greasy, so very healthy. Friendly and efficient service. A destination for which you make a detour and come back.
First time at Khan’s and we had a delicious dinner! Tasty authentic flavours with a delectable menu! Staff are incredibly hospitable which is refreshing to find in this post-pandemic era! Think we’ve found our new go-to curry house!
The personal is very forthcoming and helpful. We had a great time and the service was quick and friendly.
The menu has several vegetarian and vegan options, everything is clearly indicated and delicious. We would definitely recommend a visit!
I enjoyed our visit there. The staff were really friendly. The food was tasty but heavily spiced or greasy. It is closer to what I had when I was in India. They even adjusted the spiciness for me, which was great.
It was also interesting that it is a alcohol free restaurant and they offer kombucha and other healthy food instead.
One star off as I found the menu confusing that It was not the usual dishes I know so it took a while for me to decide on the order.
A lovely little restaurant with terrific Indian cuisine, excellent service, and a very gracious owner. It offers a wide variety of authentic dishes and something for everyone. You may pay more elsewhere but you won't eat a more delicious meal. OK We loved this restaurant.
I just arrived from a tiring trip and I got what I needed and expected: nice chicken jalfrezi with the perfect amount of heat, loose and tasty pilau rice, and a great naan.
Very fragrant and lovely food! Great for groups and super tasty
The food is so good! Great service! Highly recommend!
The waiter was very friendly and let us looked at the menu for long time. He didn’t rush us which was very nice.
Our food were super good too.
We had one chicken curry and lamb curry with yogurt💕
Definitely a good money spent with a reasonable price in London.
Excellent food and service!! We had the butter chicken, green chicken curry and vegetable samosas. Everything was delicious but the vegetable samosas were some of the best we’ve ever had.
